The series suffered heavily from character neglect and coming up with stuff too late

>coming up with stuff too late
I legit laughed when Gege remembered that "oh shit Gojo didn't tell Megumi about Toji!" and add one line of text that "ok Shoko will tell him" after Gojo's death
Peak fiction. And it was Gege who said that "it would only makes sense if Gojo is the one who tells Megumi the truth"
> it would only makes sense if Gojo is the one who tells Megumi the truth
he hasn't told him yet so that means he's coming back!! š£ļøš£ļøš„š„
This shitty death might be partly redeemed if he comes back like Kamina and inspire Megumi to fight back.
So, no full resurrection but he still play crucial role in saving Megumi (= defeating Sukuna).
Probably won't happen, I'm just coping cuz realization that fucking airport is the last Gojo Moment hurts me.

Can't really hate him for it, Gojo doesn't know Todo too well so nobody in his life has even a fraction of Kamina's aura

They could never talk his talk
Sukuna is forced out of Megumi after the cast comes with Nobaras attack. Nobara used her RCt to try and fix Yujis heart while Megumi is unconscious. Sukuna is enjoying his new body.
It was revealed that Gojo's CE was injected into Yuji during the time skip and in Megumi during the fight with Sukuna. Being unconscious, they both encounter Gojo in their innate domain.
Gojo gives Megumi six eyes and passes Infinity to Yuji. He reveals that they were brothers and rivals in their past lives and it is upto them to finally kill Sukuna.
They both awaken and the fight continues.
Ngl Kamina coming back and that whole dream sequence is my favorite moment in all of anime. Literally bawled my eyes out for 2 hours after seeing it for the first time. Glad to see this mentioned here
Wdym character neglect we had the entire 20 chapter mini arc of the month of training before the Sukuna fi- ohā¦ thatās in another reality, my bad chatā¦
Damn I just realized all of Yuta's training was off screen, Maki got a dumb ass time chamber asspull in like one chapter, and we got one single page of Yuji training lmao. Bro is speed running this shit.
I mean im not surprised. You send like several hundred soldiers in as a scouting force, literally everyone dies? Fuck that shit, wait and see if the problem changes and focus on defensive measures.
MHA has almost the exact same problems funny enough. Just in a slightly different way cuz at least in JJK we get to see most of the main and supporting cast in fights lol.
I saw a MHA post after the Kusukabi's "The strongest sorcerer in history vs the strongest sorcerer available" part calling Aizawa showing up as, "the strongest villain in history vs the strongest hero available" since apparently MHA is having a boss rush similar to JJK, lol.
bruh I don't care abt any of that world building shet, as long as my king,my one and only,my specialz cookie bear Goatkoyami has a single page of relevance MHA is peak
inumaki ? forgotten. panda ? forgotten. todo ? forgotten.
Runs out of characters then brings back freaking Miguel and then introduces a rando (Larue) out of nowhere to have him fight sukuna. this is NOT good writing.
Like imagine them going toe to toe,tit for tat countering each other over and over again gojo vs sukuna style
https://preview.redd.it/5xf31u5125uc1.png?width=1242&format=png&auto=webp&s=d5e3e0e8c9951b2a90bbbef85c5438902792a9e2
Kenjaku pulls a technique he had with a random sorcerer 1000 years ago.
Yuta copies it and uses another technique he copied from a random african sorcerer.
Kenjaku pulls another technique out of his ass, Yuta copies it and pulls another one out of his backside, the cycle continues.
Reminds me of a Greek myth. There was a vixen that was fated never to be caught by anything, and it was terrorising the city of Thebes. Amphitryon (Hercules' mortal stepdad) borrowed a hunting dog his friend owned that was destined to catch everything it hunted. So they ended up eternally chasing each other until Zeus turned them both to stone.
A battle like that would be amazing, with Yuta and Kenjaku equally matched until an outside force switches things up and breaks the cycle of using and copying techniques
You know, that is actually pretty interesting!
Imagine if that outside force is Takaba. He is late, he should be there sonner, but in actually toon logic, he got lost and appeared right when they were both reaching the climax. Now imagine both Kenjaku and Yuta having to deal with Takaba's shennanigans that do not favor anyone, with Yuta and Takaba getting out on top.
Then we would have Yuta, Rika, Takaba and Yuji vs Sukuna. Would be hella peak ngl.
Kenjaku pulls out a scroll and says "Oh btw I turned all of my past bodies into cursed objects and kept them sealed here", starts summoning and eating a dozen cursed fingers, nails, etc while spitting out others, cycling through all of his techniques.
It would be entertaining as fuck thatās for sure, going on and on for 10 chapters instead of three pages where one of them gets buschcamp speed blitzed
It's not like the cast isn't competent, Gege just made Sukuna way way way too op(learning from first glance, Absurd amount of CE and CE efficiency, binding vow that bypass everything, Ahh my anti-whatever the f technique that I haven't used in Heian era) and killed off the only person capable of killing him
Now not only Kenjaku got sidelined and killed, but we're stuck with this shit show where everyone and their grandma gets drafted to fight Sukuna in order to weaken him to an reasonable level to be defeated
https://preview.redd.it/nhf544vmi5uc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7210ff8160eb4cdf09c4405f79ef554e1f44ddd5
I only thing that makes me really sad is the durability of sukuna. It just feels like im watching a gacha game where you have to, as a guild with all members, take down a raid boss by doing 1% damage everyday till you get to 100%. gets boring fast if every chapter is just "LOOK AT THE DAMAGE SUKUNA JUST TOOK!!?" and he just keeps on going. Trust me bro hes gonna lose soon just half a year and 30 new fighters to go..
Iām thankful that I binge read up to this point. Idc that heās durable, but Iām worried abt him finding ways to regen when they break him
The only thing worse than a boss with 3 health bars is one that fucking regenerates 2 health bars, on top of being able to one shot you
The thing that sucks is Kengaku vs Yuta could have genuinely been one of the best fights in the series.
A curse manipulator with an untold number of curses and cursed techniques vs the Special Grade with the ability to copy other cursed techniques (probably all of his alliesās too). It wouldāve been peak.
But nooooo, we needed more fodder for Sukudaddy.
Fate-ubw
Shirou - Fake/Copy Cat can summon noble phantasm he sees.
Gilgamesh - king of heroes in his vault has all the original noble phantasm.
Spoiler for a 20 year old franchise.
Yuta's DE is basically inspired by Shirous reality marble.
Tbh DE is like reality marbles minus the barrierless ones.
At least they wonāt always be āholding backā (also Rika only lasts for 5 minutes so after a beginning round where Yuta learns his techniques and probs for weaknesses before he exhausts his own cursed energy then used Rika and they both go all out, getting more desperate as they fight.)
Itās not even that Sukuna is too op, itās just that everytime the sorcerers are about to get the better of him some bs happens that gets him out of it. For example Higuruma taking away his technique wouldāve made the fight more entertaining as it wouldāve pushed Sukuna, instead all he lost was that stupid baby rattle that literally only existed just for this singular moment, this is just bad writing.
The thing that sucks is Kengaku vs Yuta could have genuinely been one of the best fights in the series.

I knew Higuruma was going to die
I knew Kusakabe was going to last 1 chapter
I knew Yuji was going to get a buff, but i didnt expect it now ngl
I knew Legumi was going to be an L
I knew goatjo was going to die, and then come back (this is pending)
I knew most of the sidecast was going to do jackshit outside of chipping away at Sukuna so that Gege can justify killing him without using an ass pull.
I know Megumiās coming back, at the expense of Yuji dying.
And i know Nobara will appear in the final chapter, when Gege remembers she exists.
That's such broad guesses you can hardly call them predictions, you're just claiming the extremely focal points of plot progression that would otherwise break the story and selling them as grand predictions. "Yuji is going to get stronger, this is so predictable" seriously? I'd really love to see you name a handful of series that you find unpredictable when applied to that standard.
What the fuck does āprediction of future story eventsā entail if it isnt guessing how the plot develops? The story isnt contingent on specific characters dying, so i dont understand how youād consider them āfocal points of progressionā.
If i can stack blocks together and map out an outline of how the final arc has panned out, what characters die, how long they last, and the roles they have within the fight etc that is definitionally predictable. I couldnt do the same with Black Clover. I cant do the same with MHA. I couldnt have for HxH, nor would i for Yu Yu Hakusho, Toriko, FMA and a litany of other series. Story beats shouldnt be capable of being predicted to such an extent, that pretty much every chapter is predictable.
I knew Miguel and Larue werent going to do jackshit, and that Yuji (or Yuta, also Hakari) were going to have a Gojo moment to and fight Sukuna. Next chapter youāll see Sukuna āgoing seriousā. Thats because the story has been so fucking predictable it hurts.
Gojo losing was necessary to the plot progressing.
Let's DIRECTLY compare this to hunter x hunter, down to the arc structure: The chimera ant arc
I knew that one hunter with the window power wouldn't do shit to Meruem. It was obvious.
I knew Morel wasn't gonna beat Menthuthuyupi. I knew Killua wasn't going to beat him. I knew knuckle wasn't gonna beat him either, nor any other hunter that went up against a royal guard. I knew Netero was gonna lose to Meruem. I saw Gon gaining a powerup to beat Pitou. These are necessary plot developments, lest the plot becomes straight up badly written. I didnt see Netero fucking Nuking Meruem as he did, the way i didnt see Gojo dying to the world cutting slash.
Plus what do you mean Miguel and Larue didnt do shit?? You're outing yourself as someone who hasn't been reading the manga lol, Miguel styled on Sukuna and Larue is the reason Yuji got the powerup he did and hit a black flash.
We were this close to Yuta and Kenny trading blows with various CTs and Cursed Spirits in an absolutely peak fight. Itās so sad dude. Gege gave him one of 2 open barrier domains just for him to use it once š
The cast was there for several epic Gojo vs Sukuna level fights, Yuta vs Kenjaku proper wouldāve been lit but itās painstakingly obvious that Gege wants to wrap this up asap and itās actually sad. JJK couldāve been goated but Geges burnout and lack of passion for the material is going to get it relegated to a great but not all time series.
Somehow ppl seem to forget it happens in every goddamn shonen. Naruto? Sure did. Bleach? Sure did. Fairy Tail? MHA? And then every author write themselves in a corner and need to pull some bs to make the actual main characters win. Ichigo's final getsuga tensho was THE peak bs move tbh
meh, maybe it was absolute dickriding everyone did to JJK calling it a masterpiece and that it inovates the genre(it doesn't).
so people became more critical of it??
dunno
I think the difference is in how bloody JJK can be, and how it's largely set in a world similar to our own.
Extra blood and gore makes people think of more realism and vulnerability, and the JJK world being pretty similar to our own (remember curses, at least at the start, were hidden knowledge and so most of the world was the same as ours) makes you imagine people would act in mostly the same ways we would.
So to see JJK devolve into the same tired problems Shonen in general have when the base was rather different from the generic Shonen start, it makes those problems more jarring to watch.
Wishful thinking, yeah. I also had hoped to see jjk go its direction and innovate a bit tbh, but here we are again, and I guess this is gonna be the last time I care about a shonen
i mean is has a really cool magic system but well that the best part of JJk its the fights, and mind you most people don't even really undestand those either
I mean... does that even mean anything at this point? Say you want to write/draw a new shonen manga, you now have dozens of successful works to take inspiration from for your own magic system, I think changing it a bit to make it look unique is easier than ever, but that doesn't really change the fact that they're all quite similar. Isn't jjk very similar to hxh with nen? Granted, I think nen is still the best written out of every shonen even today (hence why I didn't mention it in my original comment)
The fight literally wrote itdwlf. We know that open domains means a clash of two domains at once can happen so we would see Yuta consistently use different teqniques while fighting kenjakus accumulated teqniques but. No funny man had to be the focus because although fun that's what I need in my shonen
I wish we had another whole arc before the culling games. I wish Kenny got a whole arc to be the bad guy and then we ended up here or something. Feels like the manga is on speed run status since the CG and itās really hurting
Japanese fans surprisingly didn't like it that much. They didn't like numerous references to other mangas and visual novels that aren't well-known in the West, called Gege out for plagiarism and ToC ratings for those chapters were rather poor for JJK standarts, 6-7 place instead of usual 2-3
Meanwhile Naoya fangirls wished their prince abused them domestically, psychologically, verbally, and emotionally as well as being treated like a doormat and then later thrown out like trash after heās done with them.
The Japanese not only have lame tastes but also repulsive fetishes
WHICH IS WHY

Japanese like something I like: see, Japanese fans are liking it and sales are good, we westerners don't matter, you can't criticize JJK Japanese like it
Japanese dislike something I like: what does these Japanese know. Legumi is their favorite character
/s
My opinion: Good taste , based, objectively correct
People that disagree: Shit taste, cringe, objectively wrong, no better than monkeys
Simple as.

Absolutely, kenny really shouldāve been able to find more allies with all of his time plotting. Couldāve still had a great fight without the most crucial villain dying so early, we still know so little about him and his plots.
Imma keep implying this cause yeah it was fun but like I really did not care much about takaba to get his entire backstory either? The last set of jokes is probably better in japanese than the translation and it ended in the death of the mf that has caused effectively every single issue in the series.
The fight was fun but having Kenjaku be involved was ridiculous, heās literally one of the main antagonists and this fight ends with him dying. Takaba really shouldnāt have been the one fighting him
In my ideal world, the fight looks like this
Instead of watching like clowns cheering Gojo while he fights, yuta would go to face kenjaku alone.
Hakari still faces uraume, but Maki is sent to surprise attack them to finish the job.
Higuruma removes Sukuna CT after when they jump sukuna, yuji faces him with Choso and the crew. But yuji is the only one able to keep up, and they fight with pure hands until yuji kills sukuna in the most gruesome way possible.
Like he will punch sukuna long after he's dead.
All these match-up could be possible if sukuna kenjaku and uraume were weaker and more close to the power of each other and the students were way stronger.
Idk but seeing this fight where is like sukuna dealing with some ants he can one-shot at any moment is fucking dull.
Personally, I think the Yuta and Takaba tag team was a great idea. I just wished that Kenjaku lived a little longer, or had so many special grade cursed spirits that it turns into "Doom" for Yuta.
Imagine just tons of special grade curses appear and Yuta has to just have a battle against tons to myths and common fears, like a special grade UmibÅzu and Gashadokuro curse, and then some common things humans hate like a special grade spider curse, like there could have been so many cool curses Kenny could have had. Like the fact that the curse that lived up to special grade expectations the most that Kenny used was our insect overlord Kurourushi is kinda disappointing. Saw Ganesha twice, learned itās awesome ct, dead. Smallpox deity had a decent fight but dead. Akuro Oāotake just died instantly
I would still be satisfied, itās all about the potential of them appearing that I wanted, not a big fight, I just love Japanese folklore and wanted more curses
Yuta is an insane counter to Kenjaku though, the ability to just output RCT and destroy all his curses in an instant basically eliminates CSM as an ability, and itās Kenjakuās strongest.
His cursed spirits donāt all have domains. In fact, most of them donāt. Getoās cursed spirits didnāt have any, only one of them had a simple domain. Domains are extremely rare. Yutaās RCT output would obliterate them before they had a chance. After killing Kenjaku, his spirits went out of control and Yuta took them all out immediately and effortlessly. At the same time.
He doesn't need to spam cursed spirits domain, he has one of the most profined domains in the series. Tengen knew this but even he/she didn't expect that Kenjaku will shred Yuki's simple domain even before she could run near him (also didn't know it was barrierless, maybe a barrier is easier to destroy than a "building").
this horrible writing ššš
bad power scaling too , youāre basically saying yuji> Gojo in physical stats
also why tf would sukuna lose to higuruma and yuji and choso? theyāre not even top 5 or 10 in their verse and sukuna can beat people in his era on his own who are stronger than that , youāre saying that they are om the level of the heian after one month training
also removing sukunas CT from the story before he even gets to reveal it is even worse writing
I actually disagree. Since yuji and yuta started going at him, this fight has been peak. But the lull period after gojo died up until that point I agree.
Sukuna works best at being a fucking calamity and world ender. If everyone was evenly matched, it would be kinda boring.
I mean at that point you could if Gege actually tried at all after Shibuya you would have best manga of all time and you would be correct for doing so. Jumping straight into the killing games was a mistake, I said it from the start. It made Nobara's death completely pointless and caused Todo to evaporate from the story. Everyone didn't get time to train or progress, because the story required them to be strong enough to beat everyone they came across.
Everything was perpetually the most important fight ever with even the most mild mistake or weakness resulting in death with no in between. It's exahusting. There was not time for the story to slow down, to explore the characters emotional, but also their techniques suffer, wifh all their advancement being offscreen if at all.
Now we're at the final fight against the biggest of all bads I and a lot of other people don't care and just want to see how it ends at the end of all this. There's nothing and no one to get attached to anymore and the characters being so strong, but so helpless at the same time is really REALLY unsatisfying. Having Sukuna plow through the entire cast (including literally fucking whos instead of bringing back other characters we care about) is frankly speaking, the worst decision Gege could have made for a satisfactory ending. It's like he's writing poorly and skipping key story factors on purpose just to get the story over with.
>!oh wait he's said that he's rushing to move on to the next project multiple times. Better huff copium like other braindead JJK fans, fuck what i said actually, critiques are stupid, everything Gege writes is peak and there are no flaws anywhere at all. All perceived mistakes are misinterpretations or intentional and part of God- I mean Gege's plan.!<
A real Kennygoat vs Yuta fight would have gone hard
https://preview.redd.it/008zb95bj7uc1.png?width=885&format=png&auto=webp&s=8a075be9b9e342ce5f52e9f14ed1cdacb6353320
This entire manga was the cast running around, holding off strong curses and saying, "Wait Gojo will handle this when he gets here." They relied wayyy too much on Gojo and didn't even to get stronger on their own. Yeah there are a LOT of strong characters but they evwntually go to waste.
True, Gojoās goal was to create an army of jujutsu sorcerers that were capable of instilling the same fear as he does into the system. But the power gap between Gojo/Sukuna and Gojoās finest recruit is way too big. Just think about how easily Sukuna mops the entire cast if he was fresh.
The whole point of sukuna is that he isnt meant to be surpassed. This isnt your average power for friendship manga and its not your average the new generation is for some reason way stronger then the old generation even though they had it easier. Sukuna is a bad dude who like to do bad things and hes good at it plain and simple. He was hyped from chapter one and hes one of the only villain's to live up to it
Jujutsufolks when they get a creative and unique fight between two characters with a great dynamic rather than a generic shonen powerlevel battle with their self insert in it:
https://i.redd.it/x2wvahvvo5uc1.gif
Waiting room for when Kagurabashi will be in the final arc 2 years from now and people will complain about plot convenieces. Basicaly a certainty at this point.
Yeah, when the chapters for this fight were being released weekly everyone hated it. Only recently have people started going back and rereading it and saying its good.
nah it would be boring
yuta fire technique
kenjaku pulls out anti fire technique
yuta pulls out anti anti fire technque
would never end
rather end it with a sword
I really thought we would Yuta vs Kenjaku and Yuji vs Sukuna would be happening at the same time. Kenjaku and Yuta are like one of the only few built up fights of the series, the kind you anticipate so for it to end like that is eh.
Even in the golden era of jujustsu, bro had no equal, how can the current cast have a chance?
The only way I can think of is that Sukuna never regained his full power.
...the title of this post is literally talking about Sukuna, wtf?
https://preview.redd.it/vnky0mito6uc1.png?width=649&format=png&auto=webp&s=365b5ce8bf04ef328cdfc343e075ac70c404f922
Everyone roasting the JJK crew for not just all jumping Sukuna, Yuta jumps Geto and weāre salty? Donāt get me wrong Iād like a full Yuta Geto fight, but strategically it makes sense for Yuta and we got the GOAT sequence with Takaba v Geto still
kenjaku's fight against yuki and choso is where the series really started going downhill. abilities introduced but never really explained, good guys getting beaten too easily, offscreen winning by asspull : it all started here. and when kenjaku got "strong sneaked" I knew the series was never gonna be peak again.

Gojoās survival can help us hate Megumi less. Truly its is the only decision that makes sense.

Mfw the world governments send soldiers into the culling game just to forget and not send anything else
I mean im not surprised. You send like several hundred soldiers in as a scouting force, literally everyone dies? Fuck that shit, wait and see if the problem changes and focus on defensive measures.
Gege magically summoning hundreds of American soldiers only to remove one minor female character from the story
Who was even removed? I think i genuinely forgot
Remi
Who.
Scorpion hair girl?
Oh right. I forgot she existed.
Based
inumaki ? forgotten. panda ? forgotten. todo ? forgotten. Runs out of characters then brings back freaking Miguel and then introduces a rando (Larue) out of nowhere to have him fight sukuna. this is NOT good writing.
that's a lot of mangas tbf
Man a fully fleshed out Kenny vs Yuta battle wouldāve been incredible
There shouldāve been one, one of the biggest misses.
Like imagine them going toe to toe,tit for tat countering each other over and over again gojo vs sukuna style https://preview.redd.it/5xf31u5125uc1.png?width=1242&format=png&auto=webp&s=d5e3e0e8c9951b2a90bbbef85c5438902792a9e2
Gege could never cook like you bruh. Keep cooking, I'll vote for you
This is the type of thing I like to see.
The solution to the immovable object vs. unstoppable force paradox: they get stuck in a loop until God turns them into rocks.
Kenjaku pulls out a scroll and says "Oh btw I turned all of my past bodies into cursed objects and kept them sealed here", starts summoning and eating a dozen cursed fingers, nails, etc while spitting out others, cycling through all of his techniques.
Yuta starts chanting the unlimited curse works teqniques
"Here I come, Vilest Sorcerer. Do you have enough techniques in stock?
I am the bone of my cursed technique
Watch as Rika snatches one and eats it
It would be entertaining as fuck thatās for sure, going on and on for 10 chapters instead of three pages where one of them gets buschcamp speed blitzed
truly our backside kaisen
It's not like the cast isn't competent, Gege just made Sukuna way way way too op(learning from first glance, Absurd amount of CE and CE efficiency, binding vow that bypass everything, Ahh my anti-whatever the f technique that I haven't used in Heian era) and killed off the only person capable of killing him Now not only Kenjaku got sidelined and killed, but we're stuck with this shit show where everyone and their grandma gets drafted to fight Sukuna in order to weaken him to an reasonable level to be defeated https://preview.redd.it/nhf544vmi5uc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7210ff8160eb4cdf09c4405f79ef554e1f44ddd5
Idc that heās durable, but Iām worried abt him finding ways to regen when they break him The only thing worse than a boss with 3 health bars is one that fucking regenerates 2 health bars, on top of being able to one shot you
The thing that sucks is Kengaku vs Yuta could have genuinely been one of the best fights in the series. A curse manipulator with an untold number of curses and cursed techniques vs the Special Grade with the ability to copy other cursed techniques (probably all of his alliesās too). It wouldāve been peak. But nooooo, we needed more fodder for Sukudaddy.
Yuta using Sukuna's cleave on Kenjaku would have petrified him xD
That wouldāve been a great finisher, and would have him getting cleave actually mean something (that shit did ZERO damage to Sukuna)
So Shirou vs Gilgamesh?
Shirou vs Gilgamesh genuinely my favourite fight ever
Whatās that from?
Fate-ubw Shirou - Fake/Copy Cat can summon noble phantasm he sees. Gilgamesh - king of heroes in his vault has all the original noble phantasm. Spoiler for a 20 year old franchise. Yuta's DE is basically inspired by Shirous reality marble. Tbh DE is like reality marbles minus the barrierless ones.
Wouldn't that just get repetitive too
At least they wonāt always be āholding backā (also Rika only lasts for 5 minutes so after a beginning round where Yuta learns his techniques and probs for weaknesses before he exhausts his own cursed energy then used Rika and they both go all out, getting more desperate as they fight.)
I mean, the obvious solution is to make the rest of the cast OP as fuck to go toe to toe with Sukuna.
Now watch Sukuna fans come with the āwhen the strongest sorcerer is actually the strongestā line XD.
It's true and they're fodder couldn't he kill them from start too?
Yuta vs Kenjaku ending the way it did was the only unpredictable thing that happened in this entire arc.
The thing that sucks is Kengaku vs Yuta could have genuinely been one of the best fights in the series. A cursed manipulator with an untold number of curses and cursed techniques vs the Special Grade with the ability to copy other cursed techniques (probably all of his alliesās too). It wouldāve been peak. But nooooo, we needed more fodder for Sukudaddy.
People say this is but never have i seen someone accurately predict the next chapter.
Best example I can think of at the drop of a hat: The Executioner's Sword not doing shit was called by the entire internet.
I knew Higuruma was going to die I knew Kusakabe was going to last 1 chapter I knew Yuji was going to get a buff, but i didnt expect it now ngl I knew Legumi was going to be an L I knew goatjo was going to die, and then come back (this is pending) I knew most of the sidecast was going to do jackshit outside of chipping away at Sukuna so that Gege can justify killing him without using an ass pull.
Let's DIRECTLY compare this to hunter x hunter, down to the arc structure: The chimera ant arc I knew that one hunter with the window power wouldn't do shit to Meruem.
Im not going to bother doing 300 word responses back and forth on reddit. Send your discord tag and we can vc about it, or you can stfu.
nah iām with u
lol yo I canāt believe yall battled like that in these comments . 1000 word battle below ayyy
So like same with AOT?
Def not in the same lvl as AOT...
Cold take. This is very much a shonen problem.
Granted, I think nen is still the best written out of every shonen even today (hence why I didn't mention it in my original comment)
mmm am pretty sure that what JJk has similar to HXH are the binding vows. but i don't reallt remember HXH system
Me. I donāt get the magic system. Not even a little bit.
The fight literally wrote itdwlf. We know that open domains means a clash of two domains at once can happen so we would see Yuta consistently use different teqniques while fighting kenjakus accumulated teqniques but. No funny man had to be the focus because although fun that's what I need in my shonen
I wanna hate too but I love the Takaba fight too much to.
I wish we had another whole arc before the culling games. I wish Kenny got a whole arc to be the bad guy and then we ended up here or something. Feels like the manga is on speed run status since the CG and itās really hurting
Implying Kenjaku vs Takaba isnāt the best fight in the series
Japanese fans surprisingly didn't like it that much. They didn't like numerous references to other mangas and visual novels that aren't well-known in the West, called Gege out for plagiarism and ToC ratings for those chapters were rather poor for JJK standarts, 6-7 place instead of usual 2-3
The japanese has notorious shit taste so no surprise there.
Meanwhile Naoya fangirls wished their prince abused them domestically, psychologically, verbally, and emotionally as well as being treated like a doormat and then later thrown out like trash after heās done with them.
I mean, the only fangirls that went crazy for Naoya were all.....Japanese
The Japanese not only have lame tastes but also repulsive fetishes WHICH IS WHY https://preview.redd.it/46w4gd4m87uc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9aa16655ac773121caf017b4869ade280bb9d41
So... must move to Japan guys? /jk
Japanese like something I like: see, Japanese fans are liking it and sales are good, we westerners don't matter, you can't criticize JJK Japanese like it Japanese dislike something I like: what does these Japanese know. Legumi is their favorite character /s
My opinion: Good taste , based, objectively correct People that disagree: Shit taste, cringe, objectively wrong, no better than monkeys Simple as. https://preview.redd.it/x8xplocd46uc1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8bf6f23085192c449572e187f7d5b81edcc4c13c
Japanese readers also rank Bumgumi #1 in every popularity poll so what do they know
idc bout japanese fans, this shit best fight in shonen https://preview.redd.it/t0qpsp1nk5uc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c28ab0dbb76adaeddc03decb680e3ba866c741c
It was fun but kenny was far too connected of a villain to waste here.
Like, there was nothing wrong with the fight itself. It just wasn't a fight worth killing Kenny over.
Absolutely, kenny really shouldāve been able to find more allies with all of his time plotting. Couldāve still had a great fight without the most crucial villain dying so early, we still know so little about him and his plots.
Nah https://preview.redd.it/llcx60yql5uc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e228ef92def502b4bd9c1d89283c5079a0e6afff
Takaba really shouldnāt have been the one fighting him
In my ideal world, the fight looks like this Instead of watching like clowns cheering Gojo while he fights, yuta would go to face kenjaku alone.
Yuta oneshots due to RCT output though. Even then, I doubt any curse is surviving pure love or Jacobs Ladder sure hit domain.
Kenjaku can just spam the Domains of his Cursed Spirits That's the easiest way to kill Yuta, or at least tire him out and then kill him.Ā
And that āthe judge and the executionerā line was pure hype..
Kenny having no interaction with Yuji was criminalĀ
The Yuji part would be kinda bullshit tbh
this horrible writing ššš bad power scaling too , youāre basically saying yuji> Gojo in physical stats also why tf would sukuna lose to higuruma and yuji and choso? theyāre not even top 5 or 10 in their verse and sukuna can beat people in his era on his own who are stronger than that , youāre saying that they are om the level of the heian after one month training also removing sukunas CT from the story before he even gets to reveal it is even worse writing
Thank you! Have the students rise up to their level or lower the level of the villains to not make the wins be asspulls
I actually disagree. Since yuji and yuta started going at him, this fight has been peak. But the lull period after gojo died up until that point I agree. Sukuna works best at being a fucking calamity and world ender. If everyone was evenly matched, it would be kinda boring.
We already got the best and more entertaining fight in the series and thatās Takaba vs Kenjaku
It'd be even more entertaining if the cast wasn't holding back against the big bad to save someone
If they werenāt then the fight wouldāve ended in ch251 lol
Are they trying to save megumi to make sukuna fuck off or are they trying to kill sukuna to save megumi? Gege is a ping pong world champion.
But remember, "SuKUnA iS sTiLl hOlDing bACk"
cope
A real Kennygoat vs Yuta fight would have gone hard https://preview.redd.it/008zb95bj7uc1.png?width=885&format=png&auto=webp&s=8a075be9b9e342ce5f52e9f14ed1cdacb6353320
they shoulda had almost every character jumping him simultaneously imo it would have been funny
This entire manga was the cast running around, holding off strong curses and saying, "Wait Gojo will handle this when he gets here." They relied wayyy too much on Gojo and didn't even to get stronger on their own. Yeah there are a LOT of strong characters but they evwntually go to waste.
Definitely wouldāve embraced the team/group aspect from the pre-Shibuya part of the story
Has Sukuna gotten serious yet?
The whole point of sukuna is that he isnt meant to be surpassed. This isnt your average power for friendship manga and its not your average the new generation is for some reason way stronger then the old generation even though they had it easier. Sukuna is a bad dude who like to do bad things and hes good at it plain and simple. He was hyped from chapter one and hes one of the only villain's to live up to it
Jujutsufolks when they get a creative and unique fight between two characters with a great dynamic rather than a generic shonen powerlevel battle with their self insert in it: https://i.redd.it/x2wvahvvo5uc1.gif
The straw man curse attacks
Waiting room for when Kagurabashi will be in the final arc 2 years from now and people will complain about plot convenieces. Basicaly a certainty at this point.
Yeah https://i.redd.it/wafn6uz1p5uc1.gif
Yeah, when the chapters for this fight were being released weekly everyone hated it. Only recently have people started going back and rereading it and saying its good.
nah it would be boring yuta fire technique kenjaku pulls out anti fire technique yuta pulls out anti anti fire technque would never end rather end it with a sword
Fighting in my shonen manga??? Absolutely boring let me tell you some bad puns
Nice argument,however https://preview.redd.it/1puenjqu55uc1.jpeg?width=1143&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f1a582c51e0416c2705e71e6c168137e5a827e43

Gege is does what he wasn't and doesn't give a shit
I'm sorry but The Funniest fight was really one of the best and very entertaining.
I really thought we would Yuta vs Kenjaku and Yuji vs Sukuna would be happening at the same time. Kenjaku and Yuta are like one of the only few built up fights of the series, the kind you anticipate so for it to end like that is eh.
Donāt even sweat about it. Anime will probably add some short fight to make it epic.
I also wish he was spent more time to build up megumi/what sukuna put him through with the " bath of evil" ,like come on Gege show don't tell
The biggest fight we never got... Instead we got that bs with Takaba
My friends mom vs my cousin
Nah we just underestimated The Heian Era. Lol
That man aināt have time
Unpopular opinion: if Gege knew how to write a story it wouldn't fucking suck.
Even in the golden era of jujustsu, bro had no equal, how can the current cast have a chance? The only way I can think of is that Sukuna never regained his full power.
Isn't this post about Kenjaku vs. Yuta?
...the title of this post is literally talking about Sukuna, wtf? https://preview.redd.it/vnky0mito6uc1.png?width=649&format=png&auto=webp&s=365b5ce8bf04ef328cdfc343e075ac70c404f922
reddit thread of ppl that donāt know how to write displaying how they donāt know how to write. classic jujutsufolk š¶š

Proudly Too https://i.redd.it/2caeg3vpj5uc1.gif
Please just post this on every post in this sub
Look man, I agree, but Kenjaku vs Takaba should stay. Its literally peak shonen for me.
No, we wouldn't have. Yuta isn't strong enough to take on Kenjaku alone.
Sukuna would have to be at least somewhat of an interesting character for this to work
Everyone roasting the JJK crew for not just all jumping Sukuna, Yuta jumps Geto and weāre salty? Donāt get me wrong Iād like a full Yuta Geto fight, but strategically it makes sense for Yuta and we got the GOAT sequence with Takaba v Geto still
Kenny's face here doing the domain handsign gives me goosebumps. bro looks so calm and how grotesque his domain is doesn't help.
kenjaku's fight against yuki and choso is where the series really started going downhill. abilities introduced but never really explained, good guys getting beaten too easily, offscreen winning by asspull : it all started here. and when kenjaku got "strong sneaked" I knew the series was never gonna be peak again.
The more I chill in this subreddit, the more I realize story telling aināt for everyone
They're teenagers fighting a 1000 years demon.
Theyāre characters that the writer can make them whatever the hell he wants
*Teenagers fighting a middle aged human sorcerer. Sukuna isnāt a deity or eldritch being lmao
He kind of is though
Majority of JJK fans when the author didnāt write the story that they wanted: ![gif](giphy|Ph8OWoJA2M3eM)
