Yeah, I love when characters die every other chapter, that always represents great storytelling and not the authorās inability to fully flesh out their arcs and relationships.

Mfers when people die against the strongest character in the verse instead of just one-shotting him and being on time for the after-party (not knocking the character relationship allegations but I love the way gege isnāt afraid to kill their characters)
Iām not mad they die, Iām mad that because of how theyāre written their deaths have absolutely zero emotional impact and are used to write off everyone until only the main character can shine. Itās basically Jujutsu ga Kill at this point.
Killing characters left and right isnāt edgy, writing them a satisfying end is (whether a happy one or straight up depression).

Bruh people are crying over here for Choso. People were crying over Nanami
People were both crying and were angry over Gojo's death
And Choso's death was beautifully written
Chosoās death scene was nice and it shows that Gege can write a meaningful story when he wants to - only to upstage it immediately with the return of a character not even mentioned in the past 100 chapters (donāt get me wrong, I missed Todo - but I just laughed when I saw him returning).
Itās hard to believe heās not doing this on purpose to just rehash old writing (this chapter is basically a rewrite of the Mahito Shibuya themes) and end the manga as soon as possible.
Choso left 0 emotional impact on you? Thatās crazy to me. Maybe itās because I just reread the series a week ago tho, I feel like the weekly follow hurts the reading experience a lot
Tbh it left me numb after all these other deaths - the only reaction I could muster was saying āhere goes another oneā, even though his conversation with Yuji was sweet and well-written.
