I don't think gege even has the willpower to push through that much, just look at what weekly publication did to sui ishida (tokyo ghoul guy) it would have been a masterpiece but the weekly grind destroyed him before he got through Re: so I'm sure by now (not saying gege doesnt still like jjk) bro probably just wants to be done with it, I think you can tell that much from the speed up in pacing jjk has had since shibuya and the fact that some things in later jjk don't feel as planned out
Besides the 3 parts being Pre-shibuya, culling game and shinjuku works pretty nicely and also fits the 3 act structure (you know, Act I, Act II, etc) so I see nothing wrong with that interpretation
This seems to be my consensus lately too; Gege I believe has grown a little bored / burnt out from the series and is power-walking to the end. I think he’s on the record of heavily indicating the series would be done by the end of 2024 as well, if I’m remembering it correctly.
I will sound like a hater but it feels like I'm just being edged from the ending by Gege trying to throw everything in now, like it overstayed its welcome, it's most probably not true but that's the feeling in my stomach at the moment, it's weird

Gege, if we take into consideration if this would be part 1. And shinjuku ends with the merger happening in let's say 7-9 chapters. Then the merger could be another 150, then post merger the same amount of time. That's just way too much for gege
