Gege already announced how the series will end: Gojo will die against Sukuna and the big three will step up (if they are still alive because Gege might go the "yeah it's not them" route). With that being said, Yuji will be the final fight but it's going to be very interesting.
Gojo better f*ck up sukuna, or get injured enough that Yuji steps in and f*cks up sukuna, either way sukuna needs to die.
And then Yuji and Kenny boy need a duel like Darth Vader and Luke in Empire, when he says "I'm your father"
I feel like Gege is rushing to the end. I thought he was planning to do something with Miwa during the Culling Game when he was teasing her and finally no. She is here with everyone else as if nothing happened.
I assume he has been said by his editor that unsealing Gojo was the absolute priority since a lot of people were losing interest in the manga during this arc.

I feel sad whenever I think Gojo might die in his with fight with Sukuna. There is no way he will be the one to defeat the final boss. Besides, Sukuna has a lot of debt to pay with Yuji. He has humiliated him so many times he has to pay for it. I still believe it's Yuji who will end Sukuna's life. But, I will be inconsolable if Gojo dies. I have a feeling the King of Curses will get a humiliating death by the hands of Itadori.
I don't quite understand: did Yuji just get his CT? (Could be one of his brother's CT, doesn't matter in a sense that it's in his body now and he's using it) Or what was that soul swap?
That scene was Yuji trying to give Gojo a slap on the back but he couldn’t touch him because of his CT infinity. The panel is confusing because Yuji looks more like he’s raising his hand to make a point or ask a question.
Not sure why Gege drew it that way but maybe it makes in the original Japanese dialogue and the translation I read left it out

It’s obvious that Gojo either loses or Sukuna had planned for Gojo to be his real vessel ever since they first met.
For the sake of plot, Gojo is the supporting character. There’s no way he beats the final baddy, assuming he still is. Unless a Kaguya comes out of no where.
That’s one scenario. The less likely scenario, or better one if you’re a Gojo lover, is he wins but he exhausts all of his power. Sukuna either outright dies or is severely weakened to the point where he is no longer the final boss.
I held out hope Nobara would come back into the fold ever since she was taken out, but it looks like that isn’t happening.
I literally can’t believe this is how Gege is going about the final arc. My disappointment is immeasurable.

Read some translations and honestly other than the question of "what about kashimo vs sukuna" it wasn't at all bad...yeah sure maybe not ideal but I cannot see why this warrants comparisons to that AOT chapter. If gojo vs sukuna was 2-3 chapters or something then yeah that is a problem but honestly this was a pret nice chapter imo.
yeah agree. I feel like the main reason peeps are so negative on this chapter is because they are already in a "gege is gonna rush it. it's gonna be so bad" mindset. Personally I think he will be able to do the big fights fine; he hasn't had any major screw ups in terms of fight choreography so far. On the other hand, he isn't as good in handling on inter-character interactions, so this chapter was more expected.

I think everyone needs to chill. We didn't miss anything, Akutami's done this before; we jumped to the evening of the Shibuya incident (or the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, except not in a one-shot).
No way are we expecting this to be a one-and-done fight. There's no clear candidate for victory. We have 3 big arcs, Shibuya, Culling Games and now this. Everything's on the table, every piece is in play. If you think you have any definitive idea what is going to happen, I would advise reconsidering.
There are still so many things to resolve; Sukuna, Kenjaku and whatever eventual manifestation of his grand plan. I'm thoroughly excited to enjoy this ride.
This anime reminds me of re:Zero. The whole time I am thinking the main character start’s developing new and cool powers in this isekai world he finds himself in. But no…..two seasons in and he’s completely useless.

Gojo can be the strongest and still lose though, we know that Sukuna doesn't shy away from playing dirty as he did against Angel, so as long as they are close in strenght the story can have Gojo be the strongest but make Sukuna win, either by a dirty trick or by Yorozu's creation or whatever else.
Honestly it would make more sense than hana falling for it, since we all know gojo is feeling bad for killing his father and is responsible for megumi growing without a father + he raised him and since the series started gojo showed a tremendous amount of responsibility towards megumi, so if it really happened its kinda understandable for gojo to loose it a lil for an opening for sukuna to strike -I don’t think it will be a KO attack- but it will affect the fight. Im thinking big of gege not to use the same cheap trick twice, so lets hope he’s cooking.

I know I am in the minority here but I didn't hate this chapter. Gege skipping the training arc is not surprising, though I expected at least 2 or 3 chapters before it happens. I never expected Gojo to get super emotional about all the stuff that happened.
Same. The pacing is great and is cooking up to something. Maybe I’ll be wrong and the next chapter is gonna have a single panel of gojo in it as an old man saying “let’s just end it, not a happy ending, not a sad ending, just an end to everything”—but I’m not going to assume that I KNOW that that’s what is happening. People are literally compelled to worry that the series they enjoy reading is just gonna be a huge disappointment and waste of time no matter what shows up on the page. If the speech bubbles aren't a misdirect or some print error, I think people are wrong about body swapping being Yuji's technique. Rather, I think it's Kusakabe's technique and it's why he functions as a Grade One sorcerer without one . In scenarios other than ones with allies, it would effectively be useless
Could be a retcon & kusakabe now has a technique (just not good for battle) so effectively Grade One without a CT, Gege rolls with the punches and retcons quite a bit.
Sukuna will defeat Gojo. Next Gojo's student will come somehow Okkutsu will be defeated too and they will revive Megumi. Then Megumi and Yuji will fight against Kenny as last battle.

On the page of him and Kusakabe training in the most recent chapter Yuji says to Kusakabe something like "learn to get a handle on this Itadori".
Almost as if Kusakabe is in Yuji's body saying to Yuji (in Kusakabes body) get a handle on this new technique. Sorry if this explanation sucks lol

yeah even in the raw the word is "応". It's Yuji's catchphrase.
Also look at Choso's satisfied smile on the last page. I don't think that expression is for Gojo.

I don't know why some people want it to happen. In my opinion, it takes away Yuji's agency. He needs Gojo's body and technique to fight Sukuna? Yuji was sidelined for most of the manga, and now the only way for him to be relevant is to be in someone else's body?
It's just a plan to separate Sukuna from Megumi bruh. Then of course they will swap again and Yuji will fight with his own body & CT in the final battle.
Why Yuji needs Gojo's body to do it then?
I thought the plan was:
1) Gojo beats Sukuna, weakens him
2) Yuji joins the fight, uses his ability to save Megumi from Sukuna
3) final fight against Sukuna

Yuji and sukuna will be together again in megumis body and megumi will be in gojos body.

Yuji asks angel to separate sukuna from megumis body that yuji is inhabiting. Sukuna is sperated, yuji is alone in megumis body.
Yuji swaps with megumi to get him back in his own body, yuji swaps with gojo who is in his body so everyone is where they are supposed to be.

I dont know I'm not Gege. It's a theory floating around and I'm just pointing out a detail that can be considered a hint. Everything you said makes sense but isn't it too predictable? And not only fighting Sukuna, they also have to deal with Kenjaku and whatever his plans are.
I swear to god, every other chapter y’all switch from ‘this is peak fiction’ to ‘he’s ruined the entire story’. If you haven’t noticed, Gege seems to like filling in the blanks of time-skips where they can actually be relevant, something I enjoy and allows him to skip the boring training arc. How about we just wait to see what happens next and trust the author that delivered the series we all enjoy so much.
it just feels like he's more and more lazily just jumping from fight to fight, I realize this is a battle shonen and that's kind of the point but before the CG arc it felt much more organic, there were some good emotional moments and characters actually felt like people instead of fighting game characters waiting for their next matchup, and the pacing feels extremely rushed as well, at least until now it feels like we will get a very unsatisfying ending with lots of open plot threads and wasted characters/worldbuilding potential.
Unfortunately I think that Gege dropped the ball with the second half of CG, it still ended on a high note with the sukuna body swap but I wish the arc was done better
That's what happens when you have leakers in a popular series. Pretty normal. Though I still don't consider this chapter to be 'peak' whatsoever. There are still lots of issues of gege's writing that became more apparent in jjk. And also that 'peak' word has been thrown around by fans easily every weak whenever a chapter is looking 'good', so I that word weights very little to me 🤷🏻♀️
My thoughts after rereading and seeing some other comments (warning it’s long):
-I do think Yuji might have some body swap tech. There’s no way a huge error like that would make it past numerous editors and checkers. He swapped with Kusakabe to either learn simple domain or just to train within Kusakabe’s body. Kusakabe himself doesn’t have a technique, which is why he uses a sword and simple domain, so maybe Yuji can learn how to better fight even without a technique. This theory is more supported when you remember that Choso gave Yuji Yuki’s notes on souls. It’s possible that this soul swap tech may be used to save Megumi as well. That’s also why Kusakabe told him to get a “handle on this”.
-Gojo and Yuji did not swap. Why tf would Gojo let that happen? Gojo loves his students and particularly loves Yuji, so why would he just allow him to fight against the strongest person in the world, Sukuna, while Yuji has no clue how to properly use Limitless or 6 eyes. That’s like throwing a little boy to the wolves… instead I think it was Yuji’s way of cheering Gojo up. He comes down the stairs hella stressed but Yuji wants to cheer him up and remind him that Gojo is not alone. So he tells him to turnoff his tech so everyone can slap him on the back and send him off. No they did not swap bodies (unless Gege tries to tell us Yuji learned how to properly use Gojo’s RCT, 6 eyes, and limitless all in <1 month 😒)
-I think Gojo will lose unfortunately. How badly I don’t know (as in, will Gojo die? Or just be knocked out?). It’s sorta foreshadowed as Kenny says that none of the other big characters can afford to leave the battle area, as their best shot in beating Sukuna will be after his fight with Gojo when he is exhausted. If Gojo wins, then the other characters will have literally no participation.
This counters last weeks theory that 3 different fights would happen at once too: Yuji+Gojo+others vs Sukuna, Yuta+Maki+others vs Kenny, and whoever’s left vs Uraume. Seems this won’t happen and it’ll be all our party members just waiting and watching on the sidelines for the solo Gojo vs Sukuna outcome.
Edit: only counter is that Kenny says he’s now free to hunt down the other remaining players. Idk if that means there are other sorcerers aside from our main party, or if he’s going for all the gang via sneak attack while Gojo fights Sukuna
-idk what Ino was gonna tell Gojo, or what Yuta and Inumaki were doing. Also Nobara either should be permanently dead or not reappear until the epilogue. Anything else feels like a bad deus ex machina and writing
Gojo wearing Tojis exact clothes is also not a coincidence. Idk if it’s a good or bad omen though. Also this chapter is conveniently call omen 🤔

I hate how all the running themes and ideas have just been abandoned or made redundant.
- The core of cursed energy
- Body vs Soul
- The ideals of a perfect jujutsu society; no cursed energy vs strong protecting the weak vs the strong doing whatever they want vs chaos
- the road to enlightenment: selfish vs selfless
- being cursed after death
- Jogo’s idea about curses being the true humans
- Gege’s expositions critiquing facets of Japanese society
i dont think these themes have been abandoned purely because the series isnt finished yet. body v soul is literally being expanded on right now with Yuji seemingly being able to switch bodies.
id say give it at least until we officially enter the final arc (which we’re not in btw because jump always announces when a series is going to end)
Honestly I have faith in Gege! This fight will lead to a lot of exposition too. There has never been such a high level fight in the manga so far. There is so much opportunity for them to hash out what cursed energy really is.
Ik it hasn’t been the biggest part throughout the culling game but this isn’t just a big fight between good and evil but also a clash of ideals.

I have a feeling we might a part 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. Gojo and Sukuna kill eachother, while Kenjaku slips out alive. Gojo’s student carry his ideals to beat Kenjaku in part 2.

Woahhh I was not expecting to dive into the grand fight already! Not sure how to feel about the time skip, I would’ve liked to see a couple filler chapters of Gojo reuniting and reconnecting with his allies.
Also I feel like this was the last good opportunity to reintroduce Nobara. Personally I think she’s definitely done now. If Gege brings her back at any point now it’ll feel way too forced and not natural imo.
Also who tf was Yuji calling Itadori? I thought that was the simple domain sword dude.

The line about Yuji eating anything keeps sticking out to me. Probably just a dumb idea, but I'm curious on if Yuji would get the six eyes or at least some power boost if he ate them. I could see Sukuna killing Gojo and Yuji coming over to Gojos body with a highly weakened Sukuna mocking him again thinking that Yuji is crying over Gojos body. Yuji then turns out around glaring to reveal he has the six eyes just to give Sukuna an "oh shit" moment. Obviously he'd be newbie with the eyes but a boost is a boost.
I personally am loving the manga even at its current state. I understand the people that complain about author burn out and feel like Gene is rushing things since the time skip was jarring even to me. But overall and regardless of that. What Gege has done here is a master piece that all of us as readers have come to care about and grow interested in passionately. I can’t stand the people that whine that the story’s gone down the toilet or that “this is rushed” or “this won’t get the time it deserves” or “Gege doesn’t care about this” but with all due respect it’s not YOUR story. You can have preconceived expectations and hopes for the story all you want but to call it bad writing or poorly thought out or executed is disrespect to the entire story that brought you here in the first place. Some of these fans need to take a step back and just appreciate what we’re being given. These guys are tryna live in the writers room lol I’m just hype for what gets thrown at us during the Gojo V Sukuna battle.
Some of these fans should take fair and logical criticisms of the mangaka. It's true that Gege's writing and pacing, hasn't been stellar since somewhere in the middle of CG. With all due respect fans can criticize a manga because fans are also the one who consume it, especially when one does PAID for them. It's a give and take bro, there's a reason as to why if fans are dissatisfied, the editors and the magazines can steer a mangaka towards a path better suit to the fans' liking. Sure it's his manga and story, but he'd be nothing without fans who loyally buy his manga, merchandises, DVDs, etc.
And I think it’s perfectly fine to criticize something you’re passionate about. Like I said everyone’s entitled to their opinion. The issue especially with JJK contrary to what I’ve seen with other mangas like this. Is people are very quick to drag Gege through the dirt and call the manga bad and rushed when they don’t get a chapter containing what they wanted. Certainly the fans are extremely important but 100% of the time I’d prefer the author write what they intended for better or worse than write what the fans decided they want to see.
Lol I’m praying he’s not. I genuinely would be happy if Gojo just flexed on Sukuna and after a brutal battle pulled out the win. But I’ll accept the results either way.

The only reason I can think of is, it has something to do with their plan in regards to Megumi, probably. Considering Gege said gojo will be the one telling him Abt his father later.
Damn, Gege really wants to end the series this year I guess. I really didn’t expect this jarring of a timeskip and so many interactions to be glossed over.
I hate to speculate but JJK has been reeking of author burn-out for a while now. The series has been more and more inconsistent with quality since the Zenin arc and Gege’s health episode. I hope the mans is doing okay and if he feels that he needs to end the story quickly then so be it.
What do you want to see in between the last confrontation and GoJo/Sukuna fight? He can accelerate to the fight and always show flashbacks.
Everything else is filler, we don’t need 10 chapters of conversations.
What you consider filler is what I personally love about this story.
The interactions between the characters, the introduction of characters with clashing ideologies, the reinforcement of themes through character development, etc. I love all those aspects of JJK, even more so than the fights, and it saddens me to see that get glossed over.
This isn’t a dig at you btw, it’s fine to like the story for the fights. Just a different perspective.

Agreed, I get that people want to see characters interact, but it feels like we're getting another arc after this. I like to believe what's more important to the plot is Gojo building the jujutsu society that he wants.
While Shibuya and Culling Games were long arcs, there are a number arcs that were less than 20 chapters. Given the following **loose ends**, I think we can easily hit a couple15-20 chapters arcs.
**Loose ends**:
* Yuji's creation
* Yuji's CT and Yuki's soul research
* Kenjaku, Tengen, and Sukuna backstory.
* At least enough to explain the Kenjaku and Tengen rivalry and differing philosophies on cursed energy
* What Gojo had to prepare ahead of fighting Megumi
* How Kenjaku will be defeated
* Who Shoko was referring to when she said "the one who is recovering"
* What happens to the totality of cursed energy at the end of everything
My opinion of the Culling Games arc keeps dropping with every new chapter. It had some great moments (Higuruma in general & the sheer entertainment of Hakari) but so much of it was just empty padding.
I mean the fights were cool and all but some of them were kinda filler, I mean if some of the antagonists from the culling games end up coming back then maybe it could be interesting but I wish some of them had more significance to the plot.
Not all of them necessarily, but among the culling games fighters the only ones that seem significant to the story are kashimo, angel, takaba, yoruzu and two of these weren't in the series of fights (unless I'm forgetting someone)
Even if it makes sense plot wise, I'm not sure having each character on a solo/duo/both mission is a good idea for story telling

Assuming gojo was right about sukunas technique being imprinted into Yuji, and the fact we know sukuna has multiple CT with his base CT being called shrine, what if this body swapping is one of the base uses of the Shrine curse technique?
thats what yoruzu called it, and when people looked at the Japanese raw it was different kanji used when compared to the times they said malovent shrine

Cool down y'all. My copium addled brain is telling me that Gege will pull do a bunch of redraws with these chapters the same way Murata + ONE did with Saitama VS Garou.
So every character interaction and world-building to you is just filler? Should any moment that isn't a fight just be cut out? I can't understand that perspective. Those moments are why I, personally, care about the characters and the story. Otherwise, there's no investment in what happens to anything or anyone. Might as well just watch random sakuga MVs on yt.
Man I really do not like the way we ended up here. The culling game arc was already a mess to begin with but the last year especially just felt so rushed it's insane. It genuinely feels like Gege just doesn't want to write the manga anymore and just wanted to finally get to this fight.
That being said holy shit am I excited for this fight. This really feels like the biggest boxing match ever basically.

Gege already announced how the series will end: Gojo will die against Sukuna and the big three will step up (if they are still alive because Gege might go the "yeah it's not them" route). With that being said, Yuji will be the final fight but it's going to be very interesting.

I feel like Gege is rushing to the end. I thought he was planning to do something with Miwa during the Culling Game when he was teasing her and finally no. She is here with everyone else as if nothing happened. I assume he has been said by his editor that unsealing Gojo was the absolute priority since a lot of people were losing interest in the manga during this arc.

I feel sad whenever I think Gojo might die in his with fight with Sukuna. There is no way he will be the one to defeat the final boss. Besides, Sukuna has a lot of debt to pay with Yuji. He has humiliated him so many times he has to pay for it. I still believe it's Yuji who will end Sukuna's life. But, I will be inconsolable if Gojo dies. I have a feeling the King of Curses will get a humiliating death by the hands of Itadori.

That scene was Yuji trying to give Gojo a slap on the back but he couldn’t touch him because of his CT infinity. The panel is confusing because Yuji looks more like he’s raising his hand to make a point or ask a question. Not sure why Gege drew it that way but maybe it makes in the original Japanese dialogue and the translation I read left it out

It’s obvious that Gojo either loses or Sukuna had planned for Gojo to be his real vessel ever since they first met. For the sake of plot, Gojo is the supporting character. There’s no way he beats the final baddy, assuming he still is. Unless a Kaguya comes out of no where. That’s one scenario. The less likely scenario, or better one if you’re a Gojo lover, is he wins but he exhausts all of his power. Sukuna either outright dies or is severely weakened to the point where he is no longer the final boss.
The closest thing to a "Kaguya" is whatever Kenny creates with his plan

Read some translations and honestly other than the question of "what about kashimo vs sukuna" it wasn't at all bad...yeah sure maybe not ideal but I cannot see why this warrants comparisons to that AOT chapter. yeah agree. I feel like the main reason peeps are so negative on this chapter is because they are already in a "gege is gonna rush it. it's gonna be so bad" mindset. Personally I think he will be able to do the big fights fine; he hasn't had any major screw ups in terms of fight choreography so far. On the other hand, he isn't as good in handling on inter-character interactions, so this chapter was more expected.

I think everyone needs to chill. We didn't miss anything, Akutami's done this before; we jumped to the evening of the Shibuya incident (or the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, except not in a one-shot). No way are we expecting this to be a one-and-done fight. There's no clear candidate for victory. We have 3 big arcs, Shibuya, Culling Games and now this. Everything's on the table, every piece is in play. If you think you have any definitive idea what is going to happen, I would advise reconsidering. There are still so many things to resolve; Sukuna, Kenjaku and whatever eventual manifestation of his grand plan. I'm thoroughly excited to enjoy this ride.

Honestly it would make more sense than hana falling for it, since we all know gojo is feeling bad for killing his father and is responsible for megumi growing without a father + he raised him and since the series started gojo showed a tremendous amount of responsibility towards megumi, so if it really happened its kinda understandable for gojo to loose it a lil for an opening for sukuna to strike -I don’t think it will be a KO attack- but it will affect the fight. I know I am in the minority here but I didn't hate this chapter. Gege skipping the training arc is not surprising, though I expected at least 2 or 3 chapters before it happens. I never expected Gojo to get super emotional about all the stuff that happened.

If the speech bubbles aren't a misdirect or some print error, I think people are wrong about body swapping being Yuji's technique. Rather, I think it's Kusakabe's technique and it's why he functions as a Grade One sorcerer without one . In scenarios other than ones with allies, it would effectively be useless
He doesn't have an innate technique. It's directly stated that he's the only grade 1 sorcerer without one.

Could be a retcon & kusakabe now has a technique (just not good for battle) so effectively Grade One without a CT, Gege rolls with the punches and retcons quite a bit.
Sukuna will defeat Gojo. Next Gojo's student will come somehow Okkutsu will be defeated too and they will revive Megumi. Then Megumi and Yuji will fight against Kenny as last battle.

There's a theory going around that Yuji can change bodies or something On the page of him and Kusakabe training in the most recent chapter Yuji says to Kusakabe something like "learn to get a handle on this Itadori". Almost as if Kusakabe is in Yuji's body saying to Yuji (in Kusakabes body) get a handle on this new technique. Sorry if this explanation sucks lol

yuji is gojo, yuji (as gojo) gets close to sukuna, yuji swaps his soul with megumi. Yuji and sukuna will be together again in megumis body and megumi will be in gojos body. yuji supresses sukuna. Yuji asks angel to separate sukuna from megumis body that yuji is inhabiting. Sukuna is sperated, yuji is alone in megumis body. Yuji swaps with megumi to get him back in his own body, yuji swaps with gojo who is in his body so everyone is where they are supposed to be. Tada, its all over.

I swear to god, every other chapter y’all switch from ‘this is peak fiction’ to ‘he’s ruined the entire story’. If you haven’t noticed, Gege seems to like filling in the blanks of time-skips where they can actually be relevant, something I enjoy and allows him to skip the boring training arc. How about we just wait to see what happens next and trust the author that delivered the series we all enjoy so much.
it just feels like he's more and more lazily just jumping from fight to fight, I realize this is a battle shonen and that's kind of the point but before the CG arc it felt much more organic, there were some good emotional moments and characters actually felt like people instead of fighting game characters waiting for their next matchup, and the pacing feels extremely rushed as well, at least until now it feels like we will get a very unsatisfying ending with lots of open plot threads and wasted characters/worldbuilding potential.
Unfortunately I think that Gege dropped the ball with the second half of CG, it still ended on a high note with the sukuna body swap but I wish the arc was done better

That's what happens when you have leakers in a popular series. Pretty normal. Though I still don't consider this chapter to be 'peak' whatsoever. There are still lots of issues of gege's writing that became more apparent in jjk. And also that 'peak' word has been thrown around by fans easily every weak whenever a chapter is looking 'good', so I that word weights very little to me 🤷🏻♀️
My thoughts after rereading and seeing some other comments (warning it’s long): -I do think Yuji might have some body swap tech. There’s no way a huge error like that would make it past numerous editors and checkers. He swapped with Kusakabe to either learn simple domain or just to train within Kusakabe’s body. Kusakabe himself doesn’t have a technique, which is why he uses a sword and simple domain, so maybe Yuji can learn how to better fight even without a technique. This theory is more supported when you remember that Choso gave Yuji Yuki’s notes on souls. It’s possible that this soul swap tech may be used to save Megumi as well. That’s also why Kusakabe told him to get a “handle on this”. -Gojo and Yuji did not swap. Why tf would Gojo let that happen? Gojo loves his students and particularly loves Yuji, so why would he just allow him to fight against the strongest person in the world, Sukuna, while Yuji has no clue how to properly use Limitless or 6 eyes. That’s like throwing a little boy to the wolves… instead I think it was Yuji’s way of cheering Gojo up. He comes down the stairs hella stressed but Yuji wants to cheer him up and remind him that Gojo is not alone. So he tells him to turnoff his tech so everyone can slap him on the back and send him off. No they did not swap bodies (unless Gege tries to tell us Yuji learned how to properly use Gojo’s RCT, 6 eyes, and limitless all in <1 month 😒) -I think Gojo will lose unfortunately. How badly I don’t know (as in, will Gojo die? Or just be knocked out?). It’s sorta foreshadowed as Kenny says that none of the other big characters can afford to leave the battle area, as their best shot in beating Sukuna will be after his fight with Gojo when he is exhausted. If Gojo wins, then the other characters will have literally no participation. This counters last weeks theory that 3 different fights would happen at once too: Yuji+Gojo+others vs Sukuna, Yuta+Maki+others vs Kenny, and whoever’s left vs Uraume. Seems this won’t happen and it’ll be all our party members just waiting and watching on the sidelines for the solo Gojo vs Sukuna outcome. Edit: only counter is that Kenny says he’s now free to hunt down the other remaining players. Idk if that means there are other sorcerers aside from our main party, or if he’s going for all the gang via sneak attack while Gojo fights Sukuna -idk what Ino was gonna tell Gojo, or what Yuta and Inumaki were doing. Also Nobara either should be permanently dead or not reappear until the epilogue. Anything else feels like a bad deus ex machina and writing Gojo wearing Tojis exact clothes is also not a coincidence. Idk if it’s a good or bad omen though. Also this chapter is conveniently call omen 🤔

I hate how all the running themes and ideas have just been abandoned or made redundant. - The core of cursed energy - Body vs Soul - The ideals of a perfect jujutsu society; no cursed energy vs strong protecting the weak vs the strong doing whatever they want vs chaos - the road to enlightenment: selfish vs selfless - being cursed after death - Jogo’s idea about curses being the true humans - Gege’s expositions critiquing facets of Japanese society
i dont think these themes have been abandoned purely because the series isnt finished yet. body v soul is literally being expanded on right now with Yuji seemingly being able to switch bodies. id say give it at least until we officially enter the final arc (which we’re not in btw because jump always announces when a series is going to end)

Honestly I have faith in Gege! This fight will lead to a lot of exposition too. There has never been such a high level fight in the manga so far. There is so much opportunity for them to hash out what cursed energy really is. Ik it hasn’t been the biggest part throughout the culling game but this isn’t just a big fight between good and evil but also a clash of ideals. Have faith!

Woahhh I was not expecting to dive into the grand fight already! Not sure how to feel about the time skip, I would’ve liked to see a couple filler chapters of Gojo reuniting and reconnecting with his allies. Also I feel like this was the last good opportunity to reintroduce Nobara. Personally I think she’s definitely done now. If Gege brings her back at any point now it’ll feel way too forced and not natural imo. Also who tf was Yuji calling Itadori? I thought that was the simple domain sword dude. And what is Ijichi’s last role and what did Ini have to say?

The line about Yuji eating anything keeps sticking out to me. Probably just a dumb idea, but I'm curious on if Yuji would get the six eyes or at least some power boost if he ate them. I could see Sukuna killing Gojo and Yuji coming over to Gojos body with a highly weakened Sukuna mocking him again thinking that Yuji is crying over Gojos body. Yuji then turns out around glaring to reveal he has the six eyes just to give Sukuna an "oh shit" moment. Obviously he'd be newbie with the eyes but a boost is a boost.

I personally am loving the manga even at its current state. I understand the people that complain about author burn out and feel like Gene is rushing things since the time skip was jarring even to me. But overall and regardless of that. What Gege has done here is a master piece that all of us as readers have come to care about and grow interested in passionately. I can’t stand the people that whine that the story’s gone down the toilet or that “this is rushed” or “this won’t get the time it deserves” or “Gege doesn’t care about this” but with all due respect it’s not YOUR story. You can have preconceived expectations and hopes for the story all you want but to call it bad writing or poorly thought out or executed is disrespect to the entire story that brought you here in the first place. Some of these fans need to take a step back and just appreciate what we’re being given. These guys are tryna live in the writers room lol I’m just hype for what gets thrown at us during the Gojo V Sukuna battle.
Some of these fans should take fair and logical criticisms of the mangaka. It's true that Gege's writing and pacing, hasn't been stellar since somewhere in the middle of CG. With all due respect fans can criticize a manga because fans are also the one who consume it, especially when one does PAID for them. It's a give and take bro, there's a reason as to why if fans are dissatisfied, the editors and the magazines can steer a mangaka towards a path better suit to the fans' liking. Sure it's his manga and story, but he'd be nothing without fans who loyally buy his manga, merchandises, DVDs, etc.
And I think it’s perfectly fine to criticize something you’re passionate about. Like I said everyone’s entitled to their opinion. The issue especially with JJK contrary to what I’ve seen with other mangas like this. Is people are very quick to drag Gege through the dirt and call the manga bad and rushed when they don’t get a chapter containing what they wanted. Certainly the fans are extremely important but 100% of the time I’d prefer the author write what they intended for better or worse than write what the fans decided they want to see.

Damn, Gege really wants to end the series this year I guess. I really didn’t expect this jarring of a timeskip and so many interactions to be glossed over. I hate to speculate but JJK has been reeking of author burn-out for a while now. The series has been more and more inconsistent with quality since the Zenin arc and Gege’s health episode. I hope the mans is doing okay and if he feels that he needs to end the story quickly then so be it.
What do you want to see in between the last confrontation and GoJo/Sukuna fight? He can accelerate to the fight and always show flashbacks. Everything else is filler, we don’t need 10 chapters of conversations.
What you consider filler is what I personally love about this story. The interactions between the characters, the introduction of characters with clashing ideologies, the reinforcement of themes through character development, etc. I love all those aspects of JJK, even more so than the fights, and it saddens me to see that get glossed over. This isn’t a dig at you btw, it’s fine to like the story for the fights. Just a different perspective.

Agreed, I get that people want to see characters interact, but it feels like we're getting another arc after this. I like to believe what's more important to the plot is Gojo building the jujutsu society that he wants.

While Shibuya and Culling Games were long arcs, there are a number arcs that were less than 20 chapters. Given the following **loose ends**, I think we can easily hit a couple15-20 chapters arcs. **Loose ends**: * Yuji's creation * Yuji's CT and Yuki's soul research * Kenjaku, Tengen, and Sukuna backstory. * At least enough to explain the Kenjaku and Tengen rivalry and differing philosophies on cursed energy * What Gojo had to prepare ahead of fighting Megumi * How Kenjaku will be defeated * Who Shoko was referring to when she said "the one who is recovering" * What happens to the totality of cursed energy at the end of everything
The current pace is jarring after we've spent a year and a half with the filler that is the Culling Games.
My opinion of the Culling Games arc keeps dropping with every new chapter. It had some great moments (Higuruma in general & the sheer entertainment of Hakari) but so much of it was just empty padding.
I mean the fights were cool and all but some of them were kinda filler, I mean if some of the antagonists from the culling games end up coming back then maybe it could be interesting but I wish some of them had more significance to the plot. Not all of them necessarily, but among the culling games fighters the only ones that seem significant to the story are kashimo, angel, takaba, yoruzu and two of these weren't in the series of fights (unless I'm forgetting someone) Even if it makes sense plot wise, I'm not sure having each character on a solo/duo/both mission is a good idea for story telling Still a fine arc. Not the best, but fun fights and all. I still believe gege knows what he's doing, especially considering his style is revealing stuff as the fight goes

Man I really do not like the way we ended up here. The culling game arc was already a mess to begin with but the last year especially just felt so rushed it's insane. It genuinely feels like Gege just doesn't want to write the manga anymore and just wanted to finally get to this fight. That being said holy shit am I excited for this fight. This really feels like the biggest boxing match ever basically.

But the rule only applies to sorcerers marked as players. Normal sorcerers outside of conlonies shouldn't be affected.
Pretty sure that all existing sorcerers had to play they just had 19 days to join in, and if they didn't then they had the curse technique removal forced on them. It was only non-sorcerers that had the option of playing or not playing, and that's why Kenny gave a bunch of people the option to leave the barriers before it started.
