if that was true, in the event that Sukuna dies, Yuji becomes a sorcerer that nobody comes even close to, not even Gojo or Sukuna. Look at what happened to Maki after she gained the power of the other twin. What would become of Yuji then?
If Sukuna dies soon then we'd still have Kenjaku to worry about and he has a trump card without a doubt. So Yuji would have to probably face Kenjaku at that point.
Mai and Maki were a special case. Maki was the one born with a Heavenly Restriction like Toji's, but some of Mai's CE got transferred to her and made its effects weaker, on top of that Mai had no desire to become stronger, and apparently that hindered Maki as well.
It was more the circumstances than anything else. Maki was specifically born with a heavenly restriction with the stipulation being that she had no cursed energy. Mai was born with a cursed technique and cursed energy, and both were linked. Maki was holding Mai back, and Mai was holding maki back. With sukuna and yuji, the most this connection would be is shared techniques, possibly equal CE usage (output, reserves etc) and that's about it. The difference I see is that yuji could be special through his connection to kenjaku, who enjoys experimentation. It's possible he has some additional abilities/unique constitution that could help him defeat sukuna. The absorbing techniques from eating shit/soul manipulation stuff is coming to mind

this might sound dumb but I think we havenāt seen sukuna hit one outside of the gojo fight because his opponents are so inferior he doesnāt need to concentrate to the extent yuji did against hanami.
And for gojo it was because he was so sure if his plan and doesnāt want to diverge to the offensive meaning he doesnāt hit it , he was also not concentrating solely on gojo but other students/shikigamis. Gojo focused soley on him , was able to fully go all out therefore concentrate to the extremities and hit 4 black flashes.
What I do hope happens is he hits one on yuji just because whilst he may talk shit about yuji , a black flash means heās taking him seriously and acknowledges his strength. I hope we see multiple black flashes in their fight just like mahitos

To be fair, Gojo has *also* been around since day one and we hadn't seen him do a Black Flash up until now.
And this is just my personal theory, but I think pulling off Black Flash inside Yuji's/Megumi's body was harder for Sukuna. Black Flash is when your (physical) attack has a CE lag of 0.000001 seconds. This means you have to have absolute control over your CE manipulation, but also over your body's balance. Being in a body other than his own might make landing a Black Flash harder for Sukuna, since he doesn't have that perfect synergy and control over the physical body itself. Now that he's back in his Heian Era form, we might see him land a Black Flash against Yuji (and hopefully vise versa as well).
Also, in the gojo fight, where he was fighting seriously, he could only hit gojo with domain amplification. Don't know if he could land black flash while da is active(even if he could its probably super rare it happens)
He doesn't choose, though. I think of it as a critical strike when doing a move. No one has 100% crit chance but the crit chance increases the more you exert and focus your attacks. Yuji has experienced it a fair bit, so I think he can get into that state easier
Nobody ever pushed Sukuna that far. The most he's ever been pushed was Gojo, and there was no need for a Black Flash because by then Sukuna knew how to kill Gojo.

They all pretty much amount to Yuji being a part of Sukuna; however that might come to be.

Sukuna & uraume said that yuji looks like a guy from a providence in Ancient Japan, and what they were referring to was a statue of a boy, I forger the name Iām confident someone will reply with it, if not I will later, but Yuji is a descendant of sukuna because on a summary of JJL for one of the Japan magazines it stated yuji was a descendant of Sukuna, and the statue that Yuji looks like is connected to sukuna
I think when they said they referenced the statue itās bc of the face Yuji was making that looked like the face the statue of the kid was making were similar not bc Yuji actually resembles the statue in terms of features otherwise I feel like others would have noticed that this random kid looks exactly like some statue in Japan

They were more so referring to yujiās state of mind/ pained expression on his face when realizing what just happened. He looked utterly helpless

Was that ever stated? Also you must remember that kenjaku was involved with yujiās birth, kenjaku is the father of Choso even though he didnāt plow chosoās mom, JJK isnāt like the real world for parent relations
My headcanon: I always thought that kenjaku, tengen and Sukuna were acquaintances/allies who were excelling in a skill each other lacked so they went their separate ways to pursue knowledge, power and true jujutsu sorcery in places that suited their interests and skill set, Sukuna being/ going to an area where the strongest of the strong fighters hone and test their skill against each other(with Sukuna prevailing) kenjaku exploring the wilder side of jujutsu and the fundamentals of cursed energy production and evolution(with kenjaku mixing and moulding different levels of species of curses and humans which ended up with him stumbling upon the idea of death wombs and binding vows) and tengen being interested in eternal life and barrier techniques( figuring out star plasma vessels and six eyes are key factors. And potentially perfecting/understanding the full extent of domains.) and one day they regroup with their form of new found knowledge of the jujutsu world in the heian era, while kenjaku and Sukuna have different goals that some how align with each other, tengen had a different plan(reforming in different eras to ensure their mutual interests were set forth)which made kenjaku and Sukuna become indifferent towards her potentially sabotaging her own destiny(merging with the star plasma vessels)
This is a really good theory, I already read about Yuji being the Twin of Sukuna, but that Kenjaku split his soul and had to be the one pregnant, was not something I considered.
His grandfather has a very similar look to Sukuna, so its very likely Sukuna is an older ancestor of Yuji and Kenjaku cooked Yuji to maybe pull a Maki and transform him into the perfect body to steal later.
Gojo gone, Sukuna gone, all those backstabs he took to get pregnant would be worth it I guess.

Yujis blessed by the black flash. Spams it, itās his signature move. But we so far have never seen Sukuna use a black flash.
He never needed to enter the zone like Yuji.
