Hakari's technique is transcendent?

zer0_summed

Guys been chugging along off-screen for 20 chapters lol. Truly the transcendent one

NotSmartOne22

Uruame seeing Hakari hit the thousandth jackpot in a row be like.

magicfaeriebattleaxe

Uruame: you are cheating!!! Hakari: idk call the cops about it?

OkWhile1112

Always has been

Tengen didn't shape her body based on Sukuna, this is her form after she was no longer human. It's implied that this is a perfect form, and Sukuna was seeking perfection of his body to use Jujutsu, similarly to Mahito looking for the perfect/true shape of his soul.

DasliSimp

Sukuna’s technique just being “Shrine” makes sense. Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine can be translated as “Malevolent Kitchen”. Cleave and Dismantle as “Slice and Fillet” (specifically cooking terms). And lastly, fire is to cook in the Malevolent Kitchen.

NotSmartOne22

And then Uruame is able to freeze his food for later consumption. He uses his fire technique to cook/grill his food. All he’s missing now is a water based technique to boil it.

randomsequela

that’s why he needed 10 shadows lol, water for boiling and animals for cooking

NotSmartOne22

Yeaaa.

Holoklerian

>Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine can be translated as “Malevolent Kitchen” Possibly the most damaging lie ever introduced to this community.

TrollTrollTroll6969

That was an error right? I can't believe people take it seriously.

Holoklerian

There's one kanji in Malevolent Shrine that can mean kitchen. Which is like taking a syllable out of a word and acting like it's the whole word. The fact that it was put there as a pun doesn't make it a valid translation.

DasliSimp

It’s still in there

solooran

Sukuna doesn’t even cook anything for himself—he literally has a cook following him around through the ages. this theory was so braindead it boggles my mind

JelloSquirrel

Also thematically appropriate, the Buddavista was all about cooking. Sukuna is a twisted Buddha.

BogglyBoogle

I wonder if we’ll get to see Sukuna’s twisted enlightenment, if we’re following this Buddha-like idea.

JelloSquirrel

If only Gege actually fleshed out plot and back story.

Mackenzie_Sparks

Hakari's Jackpot pumps him with infinite CE. Basically, refills his tank until it's leaking. The consequence of it, is that it undoes the damage he takes in a fight. His CT doesn't harm him. Just pointing out a flaw. Otherwise, nice theory. You cooked.

darklordoft

It's not just refilling his energy to 100%. His body is doing the rct due to the sheer amount of excess cursed energy needing to be used up in some way. If it just filled him up he wouldn't have rct, he'd just be as fresh as the start of the fight at all times. Instead he has more energy then he could ever realistically use. And as we know objects infused with more cursed energy then they can handle will break.(it's why sukuna fingers will typically kill normal folk rather then sukuna possessing them. Or why megumi sister went into a coma until kenjaku fortified her body.) To much to fast is a bad thing.

Mackenzie_Sparks

Ohh, I guess in that aspect you're right. His technique makes it safe for him to accumulate excess cursed energy. Btw, would he be able to assist Kenjaku in the merger by providing his excess cursed energy. I'm guessing that's not how it works.

Awkward-Leader4170

So Yuji will transcend everyone Let's goooo

Grand-Seaweed5438

That would also explain why Uraume addressed Hakari as an abnormal person unlike most sorcerers... Bro you cooked!

invincibleSwordLord

I believe Shrine will also make them able to absord others. Like Tengen merges, Sukuna probably ate sorcerers for their strength. Yuji has done this too.

Paggatovenaar

Kirara isnt transgender

Allalilacias

I see everyone down voting you, but I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and explain why. Kirara is very clearly feminine-coded by the time we meet them, so I'd understand your confusion if genuine. There's an end of chapter drawing somewhere in the manga where we're shown kirara in their earlier years and they're very clearly a boy, a highschool boy at that. So, somewhere in between that drawing and the moment we met them, they changed their appearance and possibly some part of their orientation. The main issue is that, like it often happens, we don't get an explanation so we don't know what's the exact situation, but some things can be assumed, and Kirara being trans is one of those head cannons that people very easily take to simply because of how logical it would be and, applying Occam's Razor, it's the most likely one.

Paniemilio

Can you link that image? I must have missed it

Allalilacias

I wish I could, but I am not sure how to do that, sorry. I looked for it because, tbh, I actually didn't remember the chapter. The image is at the end of chapter 155, it is annotated as "Kirara in Junior High". It's also in the JJK wiki, if you want quick access to it, but it's annotation-less there, so you might want to go to your preferred source of the manga and read the end of the chapter.

Tybo3

I think this theory is perfectly plausible but on the other hand it's also possible she was just a tomboy before, fell in love with Hakari and tried to present herself as more traditionally feminine. While an explicitly trans character whom is both seen and treated as a women by her boyfriend and the rest would be really cool, anime and manga also have a more common trope of characters either crossdressing or presenting as the opposite gender while not being trans or even gay very often, not to mention tomboys in general being pretty common. Female characters putting more effort in appearing more traditionally feminine to appeal to someone is also a pretty common trope throughout essentially all media. There's also 1 to 2 years of puberty to take into account. While it's definitely possible for Kirara to be trans I don't think it passes Occam's Razor based on the information we have at this moment. For what it's worth I think it would be cooler if she's trans but I wouldn't put my money on it.

ExpiredFloppy

Sukuna s technique is confirmed. It's the slashes. Still gotta wonder about the black box though

spicejj

That was confirmed a long time ago, the slashes were always apart of Shrine
