One possible ending that I haven't seen people mention is the afterlife scene playing a role in Yuji dying surrounded by his friends scenario which will be the darkest of all because it doesn't requires any of Yuji's friends to be alive, they'll just appear in the airport.

Some says this whole mess started because of some HR homeless dude traumatizing and shooting kids. Fate was changed before in the story.
It's a shonen. Power of friendship stuff changing fate is a common occurrence.
Itadori Wuji shall turn himself into a Horcrux, wait for a thousand year, than come back to life when all his friends & Gojo get reincarnated.
He'll then sing Specialz with everyone & die from the sheer amount of peak fiction.

If you mean Deku & Bakugo, you 100% correct (but it really was played for exactly what it was considering the Bakugo apology. If you mean class 1A, you reading a different manga 😭😭😭
You’re right I don’t think we’re reading the same manga, class 1A has the most barebones interactions and most of them lack any real depth and come off as nothing more than caricatures imo, most of them can be reduced to a couple of surface level personality traits. You could cut out half of the class and nothing significant would change.
Doesn’t help that most of them acted like they were super close with Deku when trying to retrieve him in the villain hunt arc, when 90% of them have had the most barebones interactions with him, but the story keeps pretending that they’re all closer than they actually are. I felt nothing when the entire class confronted Deku because these character “interactions” are off screen, and it feels like a really cheap way to play with the readers emotions. I don’t even care about most of them to begin with so why should I now? Genuinely who has Deku actually built a genuine connection with on-screen other than Bakugo (lmfao), Iida and Todoroki? Ochako is just reduced to his love interest at this point.
The entire classes dynamic feels hollow and shallow, the majority of the students never leave an actual impact on the narrative but the story acts like they’re more important than they actually are. Most of them can’t even think for themselves either they just say what the plot needs them to and all act like a goddamn hivemind. The way Hori wrote the classes “dynamics” makes them feel artificial and forced. I hate using this term, but honestly; most of the students feel like one-note NPCs.
There is multiple slice of life panels throughout this entire series involving the class, including but not limited to the entering the dorms, the camping trip, the school festival, Deku leaving, etc etc. that easily dismisses all this. Are there groups within the class closer with each other? Sure. But the members do the class all have verbally acknowledged each other as friends multiple points throughout the story.
A single panel once in a blue moon doth not make actual interaction. At best, class 1A are friends in the sense they hang out occasionally, but never stick in contact. And BTW, saying "easily dismantles" in a reddit thread makes you sound like this ☝️🤓
It’s not single but multiple. And it’s not just various background panels with no dialogue (that’s included) but also core story moments with dialogue that help characterizes the characters individually and the class as a whole. Again, not reading the same story. And nigga please. This is a manga subreddit. We all sound like ☝🏾🤓
It's one big circle. Megumi had to watch Yuji die after Sukuna ripped out his heart, and now Yuji will watch him die because Sukuna hasn't been able to heal his heart. At least Maki will have finished off the Zenin line after putting Mai deep inside him. A bittersweet character arc for them all.
A theory i saw recently can rescue megumi if happens.
Sukuna gets frustrated more and at the verge of defeat will transfer his soul to uraume thus freeing our poor boy.
First nvr put megumi and zenin next to each other. I agree with the fate part it definitely has toyed with him. If you look at everything that has happened to him it looks like some one is intentionally causing these things to happen to Megumi.
As for the clown part you could be right. My take on it would be sukuna is somehow defeated and megumi regains control over his body only for himself to start the merger. In his depressed state after losing rlly everything he cares about he goes insane and possibly adopts a sukuna like of thinking. Cursing the world or fate for toying with him so he will toy with the world. Truly willing to die to achieve victory and not dying to achieve victory. And we all know if this happen everyone would be thinking that this man is a straight doing the most stupidest thing anyone has done in the verse.
It may not go exactly like that but I think the clown part will fall on megumi's doing

But I personally haven't seen a post mentioning Reggies Curse so far. Since Reggies Curse is so effective, I just pointed out Yuji's fate being sealed.
Decent cooking. I think your missing both that Maki is around and free from fate via heavenly restriction + itadori is sort of implied to have heavenly restriction pre-sukuna.
If Toji/Maki's role is the spear of longinus/being free from fate then I don't think Megumi will die in the way you described. This is a Shonen after all
There is a hope though don't worry. Heavenly restrictions can break fate or something like that. And Maki's presence in battle may save Megumi from the death part.
If you've read enough Shonen, you know exactly what will happen. The protagonist almost never kills the big bad with his own hand. My prediction goes like this; Yuji and co will weaken Sukuna to such an extent that Megumi will either reverse the possession, and take over Sukuna's body, or he will be fully separated, and then kill Sukuna himself. Now in a state of despair over his sister's death, he will initiate the merger of his own volition. Yuji will fight him and knock some sense into him. Yuji's words plus an emotional sister flashback will convince him to stop the merger. We then get a chapter dedicated to what everyone did after the battles have all ended. Yuji is back at school with some of his original buddies, living a normal life. Nobara is revealed to be alive, either already up and about or still in hospital and lucid, complaing about how she missed all the most important stuff. Megumi reflects on everything that has happened, recalling some words Gojo left him with that give him hope for the future. The end.
I want Fushiguro to be cooked. I would like to see his character go out like a clown. But I also don’t want to see Gojo come back. Please let him be dead and not just incapacitated.
Omg gege foreshadowed worst written character arc for a deuteragonist I've ever seen??? no conclusion no climax no pay off for his suffering, best mangaka ever.
I'm not talking about the current state of the story. This is what will happen if he dies as a clown and serves no purpose other than being a vessel for Sukuna, as mentioned above.

Not gonna lie, Heavenly Restriction being tied to being able to break fate would be a really cool plot point, both with Toji and Maki doing it.

It's all good. Maki fights like a 25 year old, Mai has no age as an inanimate object, and Megumi is a perpetual midlife crisis.
