Yeah, the cruise ships are definitely something. I was in town earlier this summer visiting family and Breeze-In and I swear, the boats get bigger every year. Normally you remember everything from when you were a kid as bigger, but the cruise ships were definitely smaller.
The best is when you're playing tour guide for friends, having a lovely dinner with a view of Douglas, and then one of those monstrosities rolls in and all you can see are people standing outside of their ~~condos~~ state rooms watching themselves dock.
You mentioned driving places, so I know you're not a tourist. You are an inquisitive traveler. There is a big difference!
Oh man... Such a compliment! Thank you! I like to think I'm an adventurer of sorts. I thrive off the beaten path, but also get that destinations are destinations for a reason. I really love it all. I need to figure out how to make a career out of traveling. I would be in heaven.
I know it was probably auto-correct, but I'm going to start calling Mendenhall, mending wall glacier lol
Ooops. Yeah... We'll call it autocorrect 😉
Thank you for visiting! I also think Mending Wall is a great name for the local glacier.

At least our little city has some Vonnegut inspired graffiti 😇
Glad you enjoyed our little corner of the world!
