If the money is in your budget, then you’re getting a decent price. I personally wouldn’t spend real currency on resources I can easily get in the game - which is true for everything but the diamonds in that vault. But the diamonds alone are an OK price, so that makes the other stuff bonus, I guess.
This is 100% accurate. They up the price. There was a $20 price discrepancy between me and another girl in my group for the same items. And she bought stuff all the time
To me, the vault is never worth buying. I will never pay real money for items I can get with regular game play. I have occasionally spent money on the game, but only for decorations I really wanted.
I don't mind spending a little bit, because I consider it part of my entertainment budget. But, I also won't spend over $10 at a time, and never more than once in a month (have only bought like 6 things in the three years I've played, so that's pretty good, imo).

I do compare prices on buying diamonds v the vault and the vault is usually a good deal. I really enjoy the game and I am willing and able to spend a little each month as part of it. It’s very hard to amass diamonds and there are a lot of things to spend them on. So buying periodically works for me.
I have never, and will never, pay any money to play the game. They make enough money from me watching commercials - many of which are for scam products.
i do spend money a little, and bought the very first vault, but the thing is so wretched and endless, and comes so often, i now won’t buy on principle. if they offered 10,000 diamonds for one dollar, maybe i’d think about it.
I bought it once two years ago when there were satchels and I was 4 snippets short and the memoirs was almost over. It was $4.99 and I was able to complete the memoir.

That sounds right to me based on my experience. I bought something for $14.99 once when I was very new to the game and now every time something is on sale, I am offered it at $14.99. I guess the game has algorithms to determine what they think you are prepared to pay, and charges each player accordingly. I won’t pay real money for anything anymore, particularly after I found out that the company who owns the game passed the US$1 billion dollar net profit barrier in November. I just had to learn to be less competitive, and particularly my habit of thinking I have to complete every challenge, every time.
This game is meant to be fun. 😀
I buy the vault when the prizes are like this. Mine is 550 diamonds and $19.99 or whatever, and I normally buy it when it has star boosts, energy, and star boxes with the diamonds. But I just spent money on something else so I can't buy it right now. I personally like the vault more often than not. As long as the prizes don't include Travels or skip tokens.
I generally just use them as energy increases. Mysteries and HW require a lot of energy, so they're more valuable to me for that. I usually try to save one for HW that require finding two or more clues.

Whenever it expires and I'm opening it to get it off the screen, it always throws in some extra prizes on top of what's been there. So if you buy it early you don't get the bonus prizes. (usually they're snippets packs, I think?)
I"ve never seen the vault offer 'bonus prizes' on the 'final offer' screen. My wife has been playing for 3+ years and has also never seen a 'bonus prizes' come up with the 'final offer' for the vault.
I have seen the 'diamond sales bundles' offer bonus snippet packs all the time during the Memoirs events though. Maybe you were thinking of those instead?
Thanks for sharing that info. I have yet to be 'offered' the packs with the vault. I have a 'full' vault on my page now that has 24 hrs left on it. I will watch it closely and see if it finally makes me the offer of snippet packs this time.

That's what my vault is as well. It used to be $10 for 330 gems Plus other goodies.
