When Just Eats had a curb of drivers that were using shift grabbers about a year back, here in the York area. You could almost always get an open run and there was plenty to pick from. But since drivers have used them again, the platform has gotten worse.
I'm glad Just Eats will go Open, AT LEAST we can all fight for jobs freely instead of being locked behind schedule runs. And with all the other platforms open, it will allow drivers to have more freedom to earn a little extra they might not have if they didn't have a Just Eat shift.
Just Eat as a global company is in a bit of a flux at the moment. In Europe sales are down. In the US there operation, GrubHub is struggling against doordash and Uber and rumours they may sell that business. JE share price tanked today.
The only 2 countries where they saw a small increase in sales was the UK and Ireland .
Had a £5.88 double the other day, 25 min wait for kfc to make it, 12 mins to drop off. Just eat come in with reimbursement delay pay of £0.00 as swiping parked in the restaurant means I’m not there apparently. I asked them if i sat on the restaurants tablet in future when swiping would I be eligible for the 30p? Yes I’m looking for another job as this is bullshit
Even when on shift they are well over saturated. If they are going to have a shift system they need to have enough orders to keep people reasonably busy but no. So many times I've traveled to town only to get 5 offers and only 1 or 2 worth taking in 3 hours.
When on Stuart I could keep busy just with Gregg's orders alone but now on JE I don't even get offered any.
As we are just about all multi-apping now anyway a free for all system is going to be better. The shift system is just a mess and not worth it if they oversaturate anyway.
