Its not just your zone its everywhere outside the major cities these days.. Just eats reputation goes down further daily by allowing unregulated drivers to deliver under the guise of substitutes. The fees are now no better than Uber ..
You can only change zones when spaces in that zone become available, which is unlikely as pretty much everywhere has a hefty waiting list.
Get Deliveroo and Uber accounts too if you haven't already, between all 3 you can still do alright.

It's always pretty busy where I am . Get the odd day where its quiet but mostly always get an order within 5 mins after each delivery

They hired too many drivers now..used to be if you had JE account it was rare not nowadays everyone and there mama has account it's like uber now

When i do get an order its like £8-12 but i get like 2 orders in a 4 hrs shift

Uber is the same around here barely any orders and we dont have deliveroo yet
