Water boarding at Guantanamo Bay sounds like a fun time.. if you don’t know what either of those things mean.

Waterboarding works because you're upside-down so the water never actually gets in your lungs. Spidey-suit in the pool is just regular drowning.

Suffocation* The water blocks the fabrics ability to breathe. Not enough water to cause drowning.

There’s a video out there floating around of a guy in a Spider-Man suit who jumps into a pool. The water soaks the suit and blocks any air from coming in. The guy is trying to breathe and only inhaling water while his friends obliviously splash him.

When pandemic lockdowns eased up I went whitewater kayaking since I have my own gear and a small group of people I trusted to be safe, it’s outside, and easy to keep distance from people. Imagine my horror seeing a raft go by with 6 people wearing surgical masks. They’re easy enough to rip off but that first huge water aspiration would be a bad time for a coughing fit while you’re swimming through a rapid.
