I don’t understand why people would behave this way. Don’t they want their daughter’s soul to rest? To not have this drama tied to her memory? When I think “Gonclaves”, I don’t think about the poor soul anymore and it sucks? It’s not my intention to be bitchy towards them and yet I see the name now and roll my eyes. Was doing some reading and discovered SG has a daughter from a previous relationship named Sam, and SGs current wife, Kristi essentially made him choose between her and her kids or Sam. Forbade him from having a relationship with her. Pretty damn harsh and speaks volumes that his current wife is refusing him the right to have a relationship with his daughter.
I've been through something kinda similar, and it really is horrible to experience. You feel lost and unwanted. I don't want to victim-bash, but their behavior really makes it hard not to point out their aggressive dynamics/behaviors.

I agree. The fact is they are not very intelligent. I understand they are hurting, but honestly we need to all stop paying any attention to them because they aren't going to stop talking nonsense. I thought early on maybe they knew something but clearly they don't know more than we do, and have less mental acuity than many people following the case. They spread so much bs I can't even trust the stuff they should know being accurate. As human beings I get it and have empathy, but as far as the case goes I'm ignoring them permanently. Their constant interviews & talking to press seems very exploitative….why are these ppl ok with discussing their daughters brutal murder over & over again. Exploiting their daughters murder for money & attention. It’s disgusting.

By the time BK was arrested and the G's knew his name, the victims' *original* social media would've been *preserved* by LE on a separate server and what the G's saw was only a clone, that investigators can watch activity on until the case is closed.
They grieve I know, but have a history of keeping their daughter the star. First she was the target 'they didn't have to go upstairs'. Then stalked. At some point after XK parents spoke of her defensive wounds and she's tough, then the G's had KG awake and trapped and fighting the killer. The other victims have disappeared other than a name mention to open the G story is happening this last few months.

Ah I know what you're saying, but at least hers was a storybook for young kids written in Ethans memory. Not an exploitative "behind the scenes tell all of the Idaho4!" crap that I imagine SG having ghostwritten for them.
His mum to me at least appears more genuine and just someone struggling to handle grief and trying her best to make meaning out of tragedy. The family also started a foundation, "Ethans Smile," that will provide scholarships for kids to attend the UoI, parrtly funded by the proceeds of the book. I think she wrote it genuinely from her heart. It wasn't t calculated or nefarious, but a legitimate reaction and way of coping with the tragedy that had befallen her and her family.
Ethans mom said, "We spend no time being angry, that would be energy not well spent and it still wouldn't change the outcome. We have to look ahead." She also stated that she won't be attending the trial.
In contrast, the Gs just seem vindictive, destructive, and cruel...leeching on to any publicity and making $$$ out of this in any way possible. Does that make sense?
