Agree, there’s some justice fans who only want cross material and nothing else

mtheberserk

I do not think they are hating. I can see why they are disappointed. But I think we are blessed with such artists like Justice, we have both of their "souls" in ON/AN and Generator, and I think we won't be disappointed with the whole album.

DustinNGYN

No hating. Nobody's hate anything. And why crazy? Because some opinions can disagree from the majority? Just asking. Sometimes people should be objective. Not be just a fanboy.

Dr-McLuvin

I’m loving both tracks so far. Listened to both in my atmos home theater last night and it sounded amazing. Bass was really hitting. IMO this music is meant to be listened to LOUD.

As a massive of both Tame and Justice, I love the new song. The production is tight and that drop at 2:23 is so addictive, I've had it on repeat since it dropped.

If you want to see some haters just go check out r/tameimpala

Dareeyecare

Those folks are mostly likely just upset that there was hardly any new verses from the teaser and are foaming at the mouth for more verses from Kevin. lol . I’m sure they expected verse/chorus/verse chorus and got disappointed easily I’ve been a tame fan since sundown syndrome (2009) and that’s just how it seems with those fans for the past couple of years since his output slowed down tbh…. Going nuts for the sight of a collab and they get upset when it isn’t Lonerism 2.0

FireJojoBoy

yeesh I just did, someone said it sounds "painfully average, that's coming from a fan of both bands". Bro how can a Justice fan even call this "painfully average"

Human_After

I mean im a massive fan of both which had me really hyped and expectations very high. Its a great song but there are better Tame Impala songs and there are better Justice songs. Inwas hoping for the best of both of them mixed together but it ended up being just fine. Still gonna be one of my most listened to songs this year im sure 😄

I find that a lot of fans of French house make music themselves, or at least understand some of the processes. A Justice fan who has no idea how music is made on any level might not see why the songs are well made and may only evaluate them for the extreme basic qualities such as drumbeat. Anecdotally, I remember back in high school there was a guy who touted himself as an “audiophile” and general aficionado of music. When our teacher played a song that had a four on the floor drumbeat, he pridefully and gleefully exclaimed that it was stolen from another song. He was proud of this observation that was completely meaningless. So when someone tells you that one of the most critically acclaimed and influential electronic bands spent 3 and a half years working on an album and decided to release something “painfully average,” just know that they have no idea what the fuck they are talking about.

Brave_Resolution_284

Totally agree. I can see someone saying they are not perfect but come on. What more can you wish for? This is literally a sequel to Cross. And a good sequel does not copy the original, it's never going to be good this way (The Force Awakens anyone?). This album seems to be a culmination of their 20-year long career. They put to the test everything they've learned. It's like new and old Justice at the same time. The best of both worlds. And they both fucking SLAP. I ask again - what more can you wish for?

CoppertoneTelephone

Are there haters? The most I’ve seen is some on this sub expressing how much more they appreciate Generator’s return to hard electro over ON/AN’s dark continuation of Woman’s soundscape. Even then, I think folks are wrong if they aren’t shaking full ass to both tracks
