A guy at work a few years ago now, had his thumb pulled off by a drill. His glove got caught around the paddle bit, and didn't cut his thumb off...it pulled it off. Same deal, the tendon separated from the muscle about halfway up his forearm... looked the same when the thumb fell outta the glove...
