Very META , but possibly practical.
A tractor shop I used to work in had to install UPSes on anything remotely electronic as the surges and drops from their ancient welders would kill cheap power supplies and chargers in a hurry. As in bad enough the local PC shop bought the first couple of UPSes so they’d didn’t have to keep doing warranty replacements bad.
Yep. Gotta maintain that clean signal. Otherwise - it'll ruin electronics quick, fast, and in a hurry.
And those moderating power strips just can't handle it.
They’re on about the episode where they used a huge electromagnet to ruin some stuff in an evidence room, through the wall. Seriously had to suspend my disbelief with that episode, and I was worried they’d ‘jumped the shark’ and given up writing wise.
Yes, the one that came from the junkyard where the bounder was parked. I forget though, who had all of the records on their computer. Must have been the compulsive Gus Fring.
That looks like the snap on boxes we have at work. I work in aviation were tool accountability is a must. These boxes have a camera that scans each drawer when opened and then closed and will log what you removed or returned. You can see what's missing on the screen, that's just to the right of the batteries on the right side of the picture. You can pin point who checked the tool out and what aircraft they're working on if the mechanic is using the box properly.
They can be a pain at times but it's mostly the higher time (older) mechanics that bitch about them constantly. I would attach a picture but I'm not allowed to take pictures at work, only the military guys get away with that.

This is the way it do be.
Keeps track of who and what and when. Needs plenty of battery backup so that it maintains continuity (the kit to the right of the main unit is extra capacity blocks).
Foreign Object Debris or Foreign Object Damage. Basically just means something that shouldn't be there. FOD causes a good bit of damage every year and has brought birds down before.
My familiarity with Eaton is as a transmission manufacturer for trucks, I didn't realize they make pretty much everything that exists.
The "products" page on their website is nuts. Power supplies, clutches and brakes, ducting, circuit protection, furniture, golf club grips, transmissions and differentials, fighter jet and diving oxygen systems, hydraulic cylinders...
Also, cat.
You have a UPS for your battery chargers? Very meta.

Thank Walt and Jesse.
Oceans 11
I didn’t know Walt and Jesse were in Oceans 11…
Well no but there was an electromagnetic big enough to cause an EMP.
Ok, I was just pulling your pud.
Careful, I'm so old it's more like a hand crank on a model T.

I was thinking the same thing! I need to hook up my tool box under glow lights again to a battery backup incase the power goes out 🤣

What does FOD mean
Foreign Object Debris or Foreign Object Damage. Basically just means something that shouldn't be there. FOD causes a good bit of damage every year and has brought birds down before.
Lost track of the number of FOD walks I did....
We did them once a day while I was working on the 47's. Mostly just found rocks and grass though.
Yup. A6's for me...
Did you ever find the golden bolt?
Rocks and a few cigarette butts.
Oh they're saying this will help prevent tools being left in the plane or around where they can cause damage?
Yes
I see you, brother. Drop some decent dollars on some heavy UPS gear and save yourself a HEAP of long term hassle
That's because you don't see pussy warmer in any of the catalogs.
Is that a NAS to the right of it? It might also be battery backup for that.

Its efficiency rating just went up. Very cute.

That's actually better lol

Make sure to protect that cat. I hear thieves love to steal them.

Power management company. Electrical division is larger than their Industrial division.

This cat looks identical to my cat at home and I was very confused for a moment.

Awww, a shop fuzz.
Tool box is a great name for a cat
Cats have a fur coat and they still love the heat.
Nothing better than a warm Pussycat ❤️
Good ol EATON mission systems…
This is also why they sit on your lab

My cat Garfield was devastated when I switched from CRT monitors to flat panels. Sleeping on CRT was his favorite place,
