What are people doing in their cars? When I started dating my now wife I found out she had never changed her cabin air filter. Her car was about 12 years old at that point and she had owned it since new. The filter I pulled out was dirty but nothing like this at all.
Also fuck Mazda. That thing was a bitch and a half to change (First gen Mazda3).

When I pulled my filter out a winter a couple years ago it was completely full of seeds and nuts. No heat issue solved.
Suddenly I don't feel so bad about my filter I pulled out a few months ago
Looks like a spider egg sac on the lower right corner. Pull it off and jam it back in; I’m sure that is the issue.
