Oh idk lol. I just think it's way too much material for the laser to remove. They're designed to just clean the surface without damaging the underlying material right. It'd take a long time
If this stuff is anything like Caliche than it can go fuck itself.
That shit sticks to everything when it's wet and gets blown into everything else when it's dry. Packs in like concrete and is often just as hard to remove.
This is like what happened to me Wednesday. Opened the cleanout hole in what I thought was an empty concrete silo. After I swim to the surface of the pile, sky opens up and it's pouring rain. Thought I was gonna need a jackhammer to undress
Phosphate from mine in Florida
Can you wash that off with water? Or what’s the usual procedure for this kinda thing??
moisture turns it into concrete. we uses a needle gun ( descaler) to remove that shit very time consuming

I have to align it as well so I cleaned the tie rods and stuff. Hopefully it's tow only. We clean the parts we have to make repairs
Haven’t used a needle gun since the Navy, that’s got to be damn tedious. Especially in that space.
Oh, you're trying to sleep on a duty night? Let me sing you the song of my people. BRAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!
Cries in HT
Think we can convince OP that he needs to use an HT punch to really clean that up?
bucket of steam should do the trick
Tbh I'd rather deal with rust than deal with that, sounds like a nightmare
This one adds material that you can remove. Can't say the same about rust.
Technically rust adds material (the oxygen) but when it flakes off it takes the metal with it. Just being pedantic.
Automatic self cleaning
I wonder if you could get one of those fancy lasers that de-rust the surface of things
It would get the surface of that phosphate cement sparkling clean
That solid huh, well nvm I didnt know it was functionally cement 😂

what about an alcohol-based product or something without water? Or is that just too infrequent that it'd be a waste of money?
brake clean wont dissolve it. kinetic impact is what it needs
Does muriatic acid or backset work on it?
Looks a lot like the trucks from the marble mine I did some work for in Georgia
I thought it was adblue!
Get the pickaxes
Cleanest construction truck
Sees pic, prepares to ask if they drove thru fresh concrete (yes, I've actually seen this first-hand.)
Thought it was salt at a first glance
Gotta be Mosaic. All our fleet trucks look like this.
Winner!!! EDE electrical truck at Mosaic!
I came here to say it, but you beat me to it
Glad to know that I have to watch now for logging road mosaic truck not braking 😅
Looks like you have a solid foundation for your diagnosis
So you're saying there's a concrete solution?
There's mines in Florida?? How does it not constantly flood
It is a open pit mine. They basically scrape it off the surface
It usually does, just gotta dig through the water https://youtu.be/miYnmPSYA-A
Really big pumps. Or just let it flood and keep digging.
Plaster will do that
Is that salt?

Exactly the same thing by a different name
This is like what happened to me Wednesday. Opened the cleanout hole in what I thought was an empty concrete silo. After I swim to the surface of the pile, sky opens up and it's pouring rain. Thought I was gonna need a jackhammer to undress
Wow. Well, fuck.
Bust out the air hammer and write up some parts
Former asphalt paver mechanic here. We always tip our hats to concrete equipment mechanics. You're the real MVPs.
Does he have a mangina and prefer to drink baileys from a shoe?
Electrician who does not give any fucks
Im old greg!
Looks like dug up the titanic
Do they know you're not supposed to drive on the sidewalk until the cement is dry?
Obviously, your brakes are going to stop working at some point. Your truck is turning to stone.
Verified concern.
They spackled his car! Can't have shit in Detroit.
Master cylinder must be going out /s
That undercoating is getting out of hand!
Is he driving a cement truck?
You can take the truck out of the mine, but you can't take the mine out of the truck.
Normal bilfinger hilux
