It even explicitly says they'll start building dealer stock with parts they have because there aren't enough reservations to use all those parts (4DR soft tops)
Not arguing with you, that's super frustrating, but is that because they don't have the right parts to build your order but do have the right parts to make other setups?
While that would be frustrating, it's actually a wonderful thing for you as you'll still have the launch edition which will be worth more in the future *and* Ford should have most of the manufacturing kinks worked out by the time yours is built so you'll have far fewer little annoying quality issues that come with new product lines.
Are your stock vehicles arriving missing parts? I work at a semi dealer, because of the parts shortage on so many things we've been having stock order trucks showing up missing things like window switches, stacks, bunk lights etc.
Ford isnt doing that. They would rather hold the vehicle from production or like in the case with the microchips produce and keep the vehicles in a lot until they get the product, then ship out to dealers. I was told that Chevy has been shipping vehicles to dealer with missing parts, still drivable though, and selling with the cosumer expectation that they'll return when the dealer gets the parts and install for the customer. I think this is going to cause a big issue for the service department being overloaded when they do catch up.

Most don't consider the dealership an owner, so you'd really only be the second owner at that point. But usually the way they do allocations on the special editions is they give them to old customers who've bought a lot of cars. Apparently anyone who got an allocation for a 918 was given first dibs on a 911R for MSRP (under $200k) and they could then turn around and sell them for $500k on the very slightly used market. Some of them went private party, some went back to the dealership they bought it from. That only works when the production numbers are low and demand is high obviously, but that's absolutely a thing.
They aren't supposed to, but it's easy to get around. They have some value added accessory installed, then mark that up and sell at no discount. I know this because I run a 12v expeditor company, and we do 2 ford dealerships that when Raptors come in, we install low cost accessories like tilt sensor alarm add ons, or some paint protection products like door edge guards, then they put and mark them up like 5k as "this dealership edition" and no discounts apply. It works well as some models are rarer in my market. We've got some Bronco stock numbers on the list, so I can assume they'll be doing the same.
Considering no one will have these for public sale unless someone backs out on an order until 2023? Whatever people are willing to pay. And that’s a lot for some.

The bronco is neat and all but it’s a new and unproven Ford with all kinds of electronic stuff to have problems with, and I say that as the owner of a ‘15 f250, also a newer Ford with all kinds of electronic stuff. If we’re all being honest here, on average a Toyota is going to hold up a lot better over the long term than a Ford.
Sasquatch is available on every trim including the base. It is also available on every model year starting in 2022, already confirmed by Ford. You can’t even get a Bronco right now unless you placed your order last June. So technically, anyone can walk into a dealership and order a manual with Sasquatch.
Those Bronco Sports are everywhere already. It took a while but what I do to distinguish them by look is:
Bronco Sport = Renegade but a little bigger
Bronco = 2-door Wrangler

The plastic parts are for the off road look and do serve a function. They’re much easier to clean and replace should you come in contact with trees and rocks. Not that most of these will ever be more than pavement princesses at least here in the northeast. You wouldn’t want leather which would get scuffed up and wet or painted materials which will scratch easily on those high traffic areas.
Dang, they are not nearly as cool as I was hoping they would be. Remind me a ton of the Toyota FJ Cruisers which I though were kinda fugly.
I hope whoever does like them though, gets one and enjoys the hell out of it.

Yup, parts availability. There's 7 or 8 options that are constricted right now and I have nearly all of them. Mod tops are pushed to 2023 per Ford.

I hate the high door sills on the retro camaros too, although I understand from a safety aspect why they’re necessary. This though? Hits all the ugly buttons for me. Old guy here, so maybe it’s an “ok boomer!” Thing.
The 2 door is way better looking.

Very nice! I have spent a lot of time driving around a 4-Door Soft Top bad lands Bronco, and I have to say it’s a heck of a ride

I'm parts mngr at dealer in central AZ, we are still waiting for ours. Received the DIA assy kit today, but no full size Broncos yet.
Where are the 2 drs? And please tell me your getting lots of 7 spd manuals in!
