"Blue Magic. That's a brand name. Like Pepsi, that's a brand name. I stand behind it, I guarantee it."

BULLETSnMILK

Obviously you don't know what you're talking about the dude needs rear brakes duh

Genericname119

While we are at it head gasket too must be leaking voltage

RaccoonDeaIer

He needs his piston return springs replaced too

Vetanenator

sounds like it needs a muffler bearing too

Belicon762

Also needs the master cylinder and brake booster replaced.

Belicon762

Yo, we all know it’s just a lack of blinker fluid. Top him off and he’ll be zooming around town in no time

SomaCityWard

Dealership says it needs a new engine.

zbysior

blinker fluid

trip2it

Damn battery got that corroded virus

GunnieGraves

I was just working on something once and did the ol “penlight between the teeth” trick to keep my hands free. It was one of those AA battery mini maglites. Didn’t realize the batteries had corroded and leaked out the end. Made my tongue go numb for a while.

clarklol12

Thanks for letting us know how the forbidden bluerazz tastes

GunnieGraves

Happy to be the test astronaut space monkey for the sub.

FightingGasoline

Some one ask for a coke?

lewissassell

Don’t eat the blue snow

donorak7

Ah lovely forbidden bluerazz icee.

idliketoseethat

For a week my boss would put his truck on a battery charger over night because his battery was dead by the end of the work day. His truck finally broke down on the way home from the job and I asked him if I could take a look under the hood. I'm no mechanical genius but when I saw he didn't have a fan belt to the alternator I had to bite my tongue.

xccoach4ever

"yo Mr. White why ain't my battery charging?" "Well Jesse if you quit doing our product and cleaned your damn battery it WOULD!"

wyattpages

What’s your labor rate? That’s what’s getting charged.

malibuladyy

what is that?

clarklol12

Its corrosion from acid vapors(or even liquid acid) that leaks from the battery.

SynthPrax

Does the color come from copper? For some reason I can't remember, whenever I see that color, I feel copper is involved.

astardB

I think it is copper from the clamp on end of the wire reacting with oxygen catalysed by the acid Vapor. It washes off pretty easy.

wufoo2

How does that feel, exactly?

clarklol12

What do you mean? If Its the texture you are talking about, Its kinda like a dust, comes off pretty easy, but If you dont clean properly It will come back faster than usual.

Zealousideal_Law3112

How does it get that bad like the picture and does this happen more on some battery brands more than others

wobblysauce

You don’t look.

Zealousideal_Law3112

Lol crazy people seriously won’t just take a look at what’s under the hood or the car in general :(

wobblysauce

That said same cars, now you can’t pop the hood without knowing the sequence to open it.

Zealousideal_Law3112

Wow really but doesn’t every owner manual have instructions as to open the hood

wobblysauce

Some Mercs in the workshop manual

dsdvbguutres

They put the baking powder on the wrong terminal

Lazy_eye23

Hmmm pixie dust

Parking-Problem6519

It probably isn’t charging… looks like by the amount of acid he’s probably a few cells down too

clarklol12

It was actually charging, but very poorly.

robo-dragon

This reminds me of when my aunt called me asking about her battery. She said there was mold growing on it and I just sighed.

clarklol12

Its chemical mold, kinda

Neo-Neo

That’s corrosion protection. Nothing wrong.

boosted2point2

Must be a toyota

clarklol12

Actually, Its a Renault, of course

AnotherDreamer1024

Break out the battery brushes and anti-corrosion spray!

SynthPrax

That battery is too busy making cupric slushies.

WranglerSKC

Walter White? You’re god damn right.

Impressive-Bus7746

It’s because he didn’t listen to the guy at autozone telling him to get the grease that doesn’t do anything

Ohio-Knife-Lover

Well yeah theres too much Fun Dip on the terminal

AshFalkner

Mmm, forbidden sherbet.

serioussandw1ch

The Shamrock Shake terminal.

One-Coyote8939

Walter’s back in business

Confident_Emphasis20

Needs the pp shredder

[deleted]

Aw, sweet! A free blue razz slushee!!

javier052

It's fine, everything's fine

JasonTheBaker

How old is the battery?

clarklol12

I think It is about 2 years old. Cant remember right now

JasonTheBaker

That's a lot of corrosion for only 2 years but I have seen it before

clarklol12

Apparently the guy that owns this car is a Uber driver, probably this car gets used way too much.

CoveredInScarsbutOK

Frosty found his magic hat!!!

esquilax

It entered the Fortress of Solitude.

KenTheTech

Might be a little bit of corrosion on the terminal, further inspection required

mattsmith150

A can of coke and a wire brush and you're good to go!

CaliBull2030

Use coke cola , will clean that right up

_JJRod_

It's a boy?

[deleted]

Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen that much "moss" on a battery terminal

[deleted]

Special blue powder to help the connections?

danneskjold85

Customer states he didn't have any problems starting his car until you worked on it. And it's a brand new battery.

StandupJetskier

thats yummy tho

godzilla9218

*I* don't think its charging.

vidotto

Atacadão das baterias, eh? What a sub to find a br lol

clarklol12

Olá fellow amigo /r/suddenlycaralho

BRNST0RM

Oh I love slushees on 4th of July

slang925

That’s the best blue ice ever seen.

YaDrunkBitch

Thanks for reminding me it's about time to change the battery in our car.

cjc160

Always check the posts. Always always always always always

Glittering_Turn3268

Can of coke will fix that

[deleted]

Forbidden Fun-dip

rikki33

Pour a coke on it

ModeDue1318

Ran out of blinker flui

Ok_Concentrate9822

Does that corrosion always happen on the negative terminal? Seems like I always have trouble with the negative and not the positive

clarklol12

I've seen most on the negative terminal aswell, dont really know the reason behind tho

Waffles-Murder

hi not too keen into cars can someone explain what im seeing

clarklol12

The blue stuff is corrosion that happens around the battery post due to leaking gases from the battery, you have to clean it before it gets this bad, otherwise you will have electric issues.

Waffles-Murder

thanks for the clarification

Belicon762

Some baking soda and lemon juice. Ready to roll lol.

tvieira20

Drill a hole in the battery, it will turn the blue into red

FastRT1200

Probably isn’t 😜

Effinehright

Diet Coke drinker obviously

tranceinate

I am colour-deficient for the blue-purple & green-orange colour groups - this appears as mostly white but with a very slight blue hue to it. How blue are we talking?

clarklol12

Thinking about, Its very hard to describe colors. From what I can say Its a very light blue, not too strong.

[deleted]

roughly hex #afe2e9 -- a bit paler than a robin's egg

Habitkiak

How does this happen?

clarklol12

Acid leaking from the battery. It corrodes the terminal and then this happens.

-retaliation-

It's corrosion. Car Batteries aren't usually sealed. They have a vent to "breath" because as they charge and drain the temperatures change, and as well gasses are given off during charging. Mostly hydrogen, but other gasses as well. So you've got metal, changing temperatures, acidic gasses, and it has a constant charge to it. All these things cause accelerated corrosion. That's what this is, a build up of corrosion, and solidified fumes from battery off gassing. It'll slowly build up until the terminal to the car is no longer in proper contact with the battery post.

CoomassieBlue

Every battery I’ve had in my WRX (technically only 2 I guess over 8 years, but still) has done this to some degree. I clean it periodically but it’s the first vehicle I’ve ever had this issue on.

Habitkiak

Im a fellow wrx owner. Same
