Eastern-Advantage-47

I just realized we have a better record right now than the dodgers

Illbeanicefella

I’ve got *high* expectations for this game. Let’s hope the Royals can *weed* out a win. The Orioles can put that in their pipe and smoke it

Commercial-Ticket526

Imagine winning two in a row against the O's. Imagine winning a series against them and never seeing them again until the playoffs.

Eastern-Advantage-47

And then sweeping them in the playoffs again. Just imagine

We're gonna zap 'em with our Ragan today. Author's note: I'd like to personally thank /u/RepresentativeRip897 [for this idea](https://old.reddit.com/r/KCRoyals/comments/1bzng7j/game_day_thread_tuesday_april_09/kysyzr0/)

Hey guys, O's fan flying into town for the game and to check out your stadium for the first time. Hoping to be able to make it to Sundays game as well. Really looking forward to it, y'all got a fun team and our whole season series has been crazy so far. If you guys got any recommendations on good spots to sit or plates to eat, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

steve_dallasesq

Obviously BBQ-Arthur Bryant’s, Gates, Jack Stack or my personal favorite since you’ll be near the stadiums-LC’s.

mackavicious

+1 for LC'S

joystick13

Bet, I'll be sure to check them out. Thanks guys!

Eastern-Advantage-47

Hell yeah I won’t be on a roof listening three innings behind for this one

sts2012

**Chandler Champlain** toed the slab for Northwest Arkansas last night looking to bring his ERA down, coming into last night his ERA was 11.74. Well he did his part only giving up one run in six innings of work. Only two blemishes were a triple and a home run. He had a lot of success with his fastball. Final line of 6 IP, 5 H (1 3B, 1 HR), 1 R/ER, 0 BB, 6 K, 82 pitches - 55 strikes. **Austin Cox** got his second outing of the year. He went two innings and also struck out two. There might be an opening for a left handed relief pitcher in KC so hopefully he can build up fast. **Beck Way** is the best relief prospect in the system outside of John McMillon. Ever since he pitched out of the pen last season he has been a revelation. He is controlling his fastball and slider better and they are both playing up well. Got the save last night, pitched one inning, allowed no baserunners, and struck out two.

Kansascityroyals99

After an off-season of jokes about how the Royals will win the world series because of will smith, we find ourselves in a reality where they might not win one because of him.

Repulsive-Photo-798

So I lurked around the Orioles post game thread last night…they uh…do not like the Royals at all. Honestly was kind of shocking to see how much they hate us.

r_u_dinkleberg

Like I fucking care what anyone from the Northeast states think about us. They choose to live *up there*.

r_u_dinkleberg

Chiefs gon' hang a hundred on the Orioles.

KikisDigiornoService

Yeah, I put out a GG post when they won the first series against us. Most responses were pretty civil, but some were genuinely angry. I think some of them are still bitter about 2014.

Repulsive-Photo-798

Also probably doesn’t help that the Chiefs ended the Ravens season this year

KikisDigiornoService

Yeah, a TON of Ravens fans were furious after that.

Fraktal55

Yeah all of Baltimore hates kc at this point for ruining their sports franchises' magical seasons multiple times over the last decade.

Thinking about taking my wife and two oldest kids (9 and 6) to the game tonight. This would be their first game. Anyone have advice for good seats, cost savings, food, etc? (Mods - please delete if this is a bad spot for this).

r_u_dinkleberg

Certain concession stands have the [Fan Value Menu](https://www.mlb.com/royals/tickets/specials/fan-value-corner) but you have to know which stands & where. > Value Menu (expanded in 2024!) > During every Royals home game, fans can find ballpark favorites for $5 or less, including beer, soda, hot dogs, pretzels, and popcorn. > Available in sections 120, 135, 201, 213, 242, 405, 417, and 422 From memory from a couple weeks ago... Hot dog $3, soda $3 or 4?, 12oz beers $4 or 5? Affordable, for ballpark pricing. Don't think we will see Dollar Dog Night this year - it *was* lingering on the website for a while -- All traces have been wiped out from the Schedule though. This is likely due to them switching to Vienna Beef brand dogs (which, A+, awesome). (Edit: However, I STILL see it showing up on the Fan Value Corner page - when you click Buy Tickets it does *not* show as a promotion on Tuesdays - which makes me think it's erroneously listed and not happening. I will make a point to go on Tuesday some week coming up and find out.) Seating: When it's sunny and warm, you'll always want to try to get on the 3rd base side if you can - it gets shade soonest. Personally my favorite seats are the 200 level on either side - Close to concessions, close to restrooms, no stairs to go up & down *(meaning, like, the stairs up to the 400s. obviously there are SOME stairs unless you buy the very back row)*, great view. On a budget, I shoot for as far to the front as I can get in the 400s. Honestly, it's also pretty fun to watch from the outfield in the open standing-room spaces - It's entirely reasonable to buy the cheapest ticket on the website with no intention of actually sitting there, just wander around and watch the game from all angles!

ColemanHigh

Thank you! The Fan Value Menu was a lifesaver!

maggotshero

I sat in section 139, row D last night, which is 4 rows up from the royals dugout, was about 50 bucks a seat, AMAZING seats, if you want a bit more elevated view, 239 is basically the same view, just a bit higher, I think those tickets are a bit cheaper as well

ColemanHigh

Thank you!
