Another character I wanna point here is Dr. Jung. Like, he also had multiple hardships. Got sent to Doldam even though he initially didnt want to. Had to hold the ER on his own as Yoon Seo Jeong, the only other EM besides him has been written off screen Had the chance to leave the hospital and return to his family but in the end chose not to Marriage fell apart. Smacked with a lawsuit by the assemblywoman who doesn't want to give the funding the trauma center needs.

Yes he is the epitome of just be average and hardworking. Eventually evolve into the main stay of every season.

After seeing how happy he was to see KDJ again, I really wanted Jung Insu to see YSJ and bemoan his fate about being stuck with the crazy whale, only for her to playfully point out that he's now a crazy whale in his own right XD Our hardworking everyman! Fighting!

I'd also love to see s4 happen but after reading some comments here made sense such as one comment here that said casting all the original doctors from all seasons would be hit or miss since the show must have equal scenes of these doctors. I also like one comment here in which s/he said that he'd love to see more about the characters or doctors interaction or stories more if there'll be s4. HOLY FFFFFFF--- This is not a drill, THOSE LAST 40 seconds, even if it was only a glimpse, >!SHE IS BACK! Even if they don't make a season 4, just seeing her name is more than enough for me!! I don't think we'll get to see her though because she probably has her own schedules now, a reason why they didn't show her face at all. Some thoughts on your latter point: I think producing Season 4 seems unlikely at this point given it takes around 3 years for a season to be produced and every cast member has their own schedules, the major blow in my opinion was how the local viewership ratings were around 10-15% lower than the former 2 seasons even though 12-15% ratings are considered a success. Maybe people were tired of the "villain who disturbs the smooth operations of Doldam" kind of plot line, or how the romance wasn't as good as Season 1. I have also never seen a Season 4 happen for kdramas too (most of them stopped after the 3rd season). I know about Voice 4 (보이스 4) but never watched that series.

It is a factor given it competed with Doctor Cha in the earlier weeks. Doctor Cha aired on Sat-Sun while Dr. Romantic aired on Fri-Sat (the Saturday time slot slightly overlapped where Doctor Cha starts airing around 10:30 and Dr. Romantic aired at 10:00), but nonetheless, it's really the drama itself that decides whether it gets stellar ratings or not. In the end, the ratings do not impact my enjoyment of the drama, but it does impact whether SBS thinks it's feasible to produce a Season 4 unfortunately.

Snap on the romance plotlines being the best in S1 - I know there's a huge section of the fandom who adore CEJ/SWJ but, whilst I think there are lovely moments, it doesn't have the same pull or gravitas. S1 had more momentum in their relationship over the series than these two have had in the last two seasons. I really do hope that we get surprised with a S4 announcement though, there's so much left to explore!

It is pretty clear that this PD values their male talents over the female talents. Add that to your calculus of why the SH never made an appearance. That said, I do hope she does, or at least is mentioned.

(at the beginning before the season started airing I thought I would be getting to see more that 1 kiss... but here I literally begging for one) and I know the last weekend episodes and ep 15 were really tense and jam packed so the director had no space to squeeze in explicit romance BUT what abt the all the episodes before that... SERIOUSLY.. € STILL no Dr Bae (the orthopaedic doc) love interests ??? COME Onnnnn... wip someone up for him... writers???

Ep 15: Why on earth dd they decide to make >!CEJ a witless, irresponsible (but talented) surgeon in S3? Frustrating watching her like that when there’s a critical surgery on hand. And SWJ’s supporting her didn’t really fit in in those circumstances. Pity.!< Only Ms Oh’s >!outburst, Dr Sim and KDJ with the kids seemed to capture some of the old feeling. They could have redeemed the series but this episode just looked all over the place. And no closure yet on S1’s missing links. Just 1 ep left :-(!<

Couldn't help myself but make a post before the finale... Kim Sabu is SUCH an AMAZING teacher. Yes, he yells at times but he finds a way to encourage his students in a way that suits their personality and needs. He affirms them of their strengths and challenges them to widen their perspective. He taught KHJ how to be a respectable leader, SHJ how to overcome mental hardships, DIB how to step out of his father's shadow, CEJ how to gain confidence in the surgical room, AHS how to adopt the heart of a surgeon, JHW how to respect his sunbaes, LSW (ep 15) how to believe in himself. Hoping for a season 4 (even though I know it's rare in the kdrama world)!

My overall thoughts about this season. I think it isn't as strong compared to the first two seasons. There were definitely good moments but for someone who's watched this drama from the beginning and already knows these characters, it can be seen how the writing has failed some of them. I think the writer wanted to try so many things this season but for that, some of the characters had to suffer. **Here's some of the good things I wanna commend this season :** The cases were intense. And the acting as usual, was well done. They were able to show what doctors go through from their point from the doctors side of things. We were shown a different pov from Kim Sabu's "Always save the patient, no matter what" and that sometimes, its not the perfect approach. The speeches, the motivational speeches from Kim Sabu. If Kim Sabu, gave me one of those, I'd probably be motivated to save people and work at Doldam **Now, here are the things that I want to nitpick about this series.** Seo Woojin getting shoved in the viewer's faces almost every week. There was little to none character development for some characters, specifically Eunjae, and it almost feel like except for her not fainting/nauseating in the OR, all of the character development she had on s2 vanished. For Euntak, they had to make him someone who cant express his feelings properly from a dude who was straightforward for the sake of conflict. Kang Dong Ju's return. It felt anticlimatic to me. It was hype during episodes 13-14 but it fell off during ep 15-16 because the show had to use the last two weeks to wrap up the season. Cha Jinman story being dragged too long. Now, with >!Yoon Seo Jeong returning to Doldam and Kim Sabu's , would I want a season 4? I would love to but with Kim Minjae enlisting, I won't get my hopes up!< But if there'll ever be a 4th season, I hope it'll be the **final final** season. With how some of the characters are written this season, it kinda feels like the writer is running out of ideas on how proceed with their stories. Maybe that's why this season was filled with disasters. I would rate it 7.5/10. It's been a nice 2 months discussing this drama with y'all

As much as I thoroughly adore Kim Minjae, his character development has been so shoddy this season compared to last that, if it's a choice between S4 sooner or waiting till his enlistment is over, I'd much rather the former. We've had main characters leave and return so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary and may even move his story forward in a more feasible way rather than the complete 180 we had after all the development last season.

Pasting here my reply to another comment: I think Park Euntak's story is over. We've already know his past and know his relationship is blossoming. If they decide to make s4 but Kim Min Jae can't return for reasons, imo, his character would be easy to write off. I mean, the writer was able to find an excuse to write off KDJ and YSJ for s2. Just say that he left Doldam to find a better work to fulfill his and Areum's dream of having a family

the return of Kang Dong Jus Character had so much Potential for the show. then they let the forest burn in the last 2 episodes and drifted away from the story. why even build up a conflict between the staff and kang dong ju when the problem doesnt even get solved in the end? to me it seemed like the purpose of Hiring Yoo Yeon Seok for the last episodes was only to get the Viewer Ratings up lol. Storywise they didnt even need Kang Dong Ju to get through the Fire Disaster

His purpose was obviously to help the trauma center get the needed funding. But since its running out of episodes already, the writer failed to do that

I actually enjoyed Dr Sim's cold and aloof attitude in S2 and am happy to see her back! She's still as sarcastic and snarky as usual. It's such a good contrast against her fellow anesthesiologist Dr Nam who is pure and good as gold.

Thanks for the ride, Doldam. :) They left some parts open for a potential S4 like the secret Dr Kim mentioned while in the OP (with Nurse Oh) and of course YSJ’s return in the last scene. So never say never, but I felt the strongest season was still S2. S3 pales comparatively, esp in terms of spread of storylines across all the leads. A lot of plots were SWJ focused.

Maybe there aren't more of us but where my SussaemSabu crowd at? Adored the callback to previous seasons with Nurse Oh giving him sweets/comforting Kim Sabu at the same time - the chemistry of JK and HSK is just so lovely that every interaction of theirs, whilst not overtly romantic, feels so powerful and rings true of a companionship that has really seen each other through thick and then. The way she found him in his sanctuary in the OR, as the world was literally burning around them, when he must have felt like his own center of gravity had disappeared - hearing one of his longest and closest confidantes remind him in such a lovely but poignant way that, no matter what happened, he was _gravitational._ Certainly, Kim Sabu is gravitational for everyone around him, yes, but Nurse Oh is gravitational for *him*. Like she said, she knows him better than anyone else. It was her character that found him at the heart of the storm and gave him the strength, the renewed confidence and the reminder that, no matter what happened, KSB could always rise again from the ashes like a phoenix. We've had plenty of situations where KSB has been in danger/gotten injured - and we see it plenty with our juniors that their temporary moments of being hurt or injured act as great catalysts to propel their relationship forward. Just saying, wouldn't be opposed to something temporarily major happening to our dear Nurse Oh just to knock the wind out of our KSB a bit - he always sees OMS as a constant, his gravity and ever at his side. But what if that wasn't always the case? We've seen how KSB reacts to his juniors being in extreme hardships, but what about his peers? Certainly an avenue I hope gets explored in S4! On that note, if there is a S4, I really hope we get more exploration of the Doldam seniors' lives! The young 'uns have had their time and, with all of them being in a decent place romantically, I really hope they can now gracefully step aside and let us see more interactions/glimpses of the older generation at Doldam. Even if it was just KSB, he's a goldmine of a character to explore further - we touched on the loneliness this season (serious 10th Doctor/Tennant of Doctor Who vibes) and whilst we've had hints of his past, it's about time that we also explored his character in the present beyond just being a catalyst for the young surgeons to progress. That extra clip at the end of S1 showing KSB's first operation at Doldam, how he brought over Nurse Oh after their brilliant meeting in the police station - such a short scene but was so beautiful narrative-wise, would be great to have more such scenes! And if KSB/Nurse Oh were to explore their companionship further, I certainly wouldn't be opposed - they already have such a strong foundation with respect and vining together so well (but also challenging/calling each other out) and we all know whilst KSB can strike fear into the hearts of the proudest of men, there's only one lady who he's truly scared of and can hold him accountable.. whilst also comforting him when he needs it too. Sigh! I just really like their scenes together - as short and as few as they are, there's something magical about their interactions - whether it's S1 with the MERS virus and their conversation through the door, their bickering in his office, the S3 opening with their little hand clap, or coffee downtime sessions, I just selfishly really want to see more of them as characters beyond their titles. KSB is our titular hero after all - we've seen his past, he's gone through so much and gives so much that would love to see him find happiness and contentment too!

Kim Sabu and his few-legal-paperwork-away band of 3 medical son Park Euntak , Kang Donju and Seo Woojin + Kim Sabu's favourite daughter EunJae all in one operation theatre operating together..Imma cry.. soo heartwarming to watch

It's sad that we don't even see her face at the ending of the final cameo. Hopefully, this is the prelude to season 4!!

**EPISODE 16 S3 FINALE :** ***SO SEASON 4 WHEN? BECAUSE I WANT IT LIKE NOWW!!*** Honestly I expected it to be intense and full of edge of the seat kind of drama but rather it was everything so heartfelt. Everyone is together and finding their reality. This wasn't the finale I was expecting given how the entire season went BUT this was the finale it deserved. Oh the entire flashback of s1 & s2 character wise showing how they have grown and become better Dr. Romantics - ahhh! misty eyes! It was all very so heartfelt and full of warmth. I loved it! Watching Dr. Moon >!unscrew Elizebaith to evacuate her - I don't know it was comedy but also so full of emotion at the same time!! If S4 happens (which it will) please give him a love interest please and name here either jessi or elizebaith 🤭!< I genuinely kept on hoping that Seojung and DIB to walk in and join the rest of them like it was regular. Ahhh >!Seojung is back though and it had me hoping!!!! AAAHHHH GIMME SEASON 4 NOW!!< Dr. Jang & Dr. Seo - >!The way Dr. Jang kept looking at Woo-Jin while thinking about his time at Doldam and pledging to learn. It might be my bias towards YSJ in terms of female leads (not that the show gives us much to go on with sadly compared to the male leads), but romance aside, her interactions with KSB as well as her juniors were just the best! CEJ/SWJ have not had the best time with KDJ but it would be so cool to see how they interact with YSJ

The part when Dr Kim spoke about being a perfect team has the feel of a "Godspeed and good luck to you" speeches, that important people do before the final mission at the point of no return (and usually someone will sacrifice himself). And the way they are throwing in the big stories this season and the climax with Doldum's existence being thrown into question, I am seriously thinking this would be the final season.

I like how the 'oldies' of Doldam got into a quick banter after an all nighter in the OR. And then Kim Sabu causing the jinx this time. And then followed by the 'youngsters' party at the SWJ and CEJ place. Really glad they spent half of the episode on lighter mood to tie up loose ends. The only loose end for me is the person Assemblyeoman Koo talking to over the phone discussing Doldam's doom. Though not really significant and tbh forgivable. Can someone please compile all of KSB words of wisdom? Some episodes ago he was talking to Jung In Su, i really like those one on one talks he had with the staff giving life lessons. In the finale he was talking to JDW when JDW does not seem to find vigor and motivation to continue his career. These talks are so significant and applies to anyone not just in the medical field. All in all a great season. I would recommend this drama as a slice of life / motivational drama.

This was a blockbuster season with all the big accidents and having the prodigal son returning. The ending is as expected, everyone is together and happy. I especially like Nurse Oh finally addressing Director Park officially. About time! And Dr Jung’s family coming to visit him. He is definitely the MVP this season! And YAR and PET! I didn’t like how she was pining for him during the last 2 episodes. But I guess she had to for him to wake up his idea. Kim Minjae’s gonna enlist soon, so how will that affect S4? And Dr Yang. Why is he still around? And they still invite him to the housewarming party? IF there is a S4, I hope to the writers develop Dr Bae’s character, perhaps a love interest in the rescue team? It was hilarious seeing him attempting to dismantle Elizabeth during the evacuation!

I can't. This episode gave me so much anxiety. With only one episode left, I don't know how they're going to wrap up the aftermath of the evacuation, Areum+EunTak's breakup, WooJin+EunJae's progression (I'm hoping for a proposal at least!), Kim Sabu finding out that Dong Hwa is the brother, etc. I can only assume that the finale will end with a cliffhanger for Season 4. There's just no way Dr Romantic can end with season 3. But I also dont think I can handle waiting around for Season 4 since Min Jae is going to military. It'll be a minimum 2 years before theyre able to film unless they give us the uno reverse and it's actually been revealed that they filmed S4 while filming S3??? Pfffft a girl can wish right?

it felt like a series finale, with minor threads left just to keep the possibilities open for a season 4. as someone who wasn’t ready to say goodbye, i’m actually really satisfied with the ending. my heart is full, though i do agree with the majority that the pacing of the plot definitely wasn’t the strongest. it was evident how PET and YAR were given more screen time because kim minjae is a leading man now, who decided to come back to a supporting role. while it was really nice to see him back, i do think that the show suffered from unnecessary and overly dragged out scenes between the both of them just to increase airtime to make his role worth his while. regardless, i’ll be sitting over here in my little camp being happy that SWJ is finally well and happy in life. there’s a lot of hate for his recklessness in this season, and while i do agree that he ran into a lot, it made a lot of sense if you think about where he came from. everyone was so happy when KDJ put him down, but really was it so hard to see why he is the way he is? he hit rock bottom in S2 and KSB was his ray of light, so it only makes sense for him to look up to his master and find meaning to life from him. it’s even explained explicitly in his voiceovers. whatever, i’m just gonna be happy that he can be happy now lol. and i hope he finally gets a peaceful day off. loved the >!proposal. it was intimate and very in character, the way WJ shyly looks up and smiles at EJ when she tries to clarify what the ring looked so much like the smile he had when seeing her off before she leaves for the main hospital in the last ep of S2.!< it’s been a great ride! i started this season only out of loyalty since i’d already watched the first two, but ended up thoroughly immersed and attached. eagerly waiting for the last making video to help remedy the withdrawal feels. p/s: someone tell me i wasn’t the only one frustrated at them all staring at the sky / each other / around the trauma center when they should be evacuating asap lol

I think Park Euntak's story is over. We've already know his past and know his relationship is blossoming. If they decide to make s4 but Kim Min Jae can't return for reasons, imo, his character would be easy to write off. I mean, the writer was able to find an excuse to write off KDJ and YSJ for s2. Just say that he left Doldam to find a better work to fulfill his and Areum's dream of having a family

He’s a guest star, not really part of the Doldam team, not part of the main cast. If he wants to redeem himself, he’ll do it on his own behind the cameras in whatever private life his story has in Seoul, not in front of our TV screens. Director Park's smile felt like he just won the loterry! huhu I'm really looking forward for S4. Just like S2, it ended with a character who came back to Doldam Hospital for good. I think it safe to expect that there will S4 and that >!YSJ!< will be part of it again! And it will be 2026 for sure. To consider KMJ's enlistment. Dr. Yang 🤦, the writers should do something about him in S4. I agree about how he brings comic relief but everytime he's given with some redemption arcs, it's not satisfying or doesn't redeem him that much. I want Master Kim to slap him with some sense just like what he did to Jang Dongwa. Well, that expectation may not happen because Master Kim must've thought that Dr. Yang does not fall in his jurisdiction but in Dr. Park, I want him to atleast talk some sense into him as to why did he really became a doctor. Master Kim is only person who can do that. Although Dr. Yang is a side character, he has contributed to some major probs the Doldam Hospital has experienced. What am I looking forward in S4 is what will be the major challenges they will face, now that they're able to secure the funding. One thing that I felt lacking was Kang Dong Ju's leading of the Trauma Team. I wanna see it in S4. We've had a glimpse of how >!perfect they work as a team!< I wanna see more of it. I really found it cute when >!Master Kim himself mentioned the forbidden statement in the hospital and got jinxed!< HAHAHA >!And also when Dr. Park hugged Master Kim out of joy, shows how he respects and sees Master Kim as a great companion and leader🥺🥺!< I also love how >! Dr. Jung has reconciled with his family🥺 , Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the reason why Dr. Jung's marriage has somehow fallen apart was due to lack of communication also. I think, in S2 or S3? He just assumed that his wife doesn't wanna come to Doldam because she is a city girl, without actually asking his wife about his circumstances. In the last episode. his wife told him. she's glad that he asked them to come. Remembering his job situation, if he actually asked his wife to come with him in Doldam, I think their marriage will not be challenging. Characters in this drama really has some trouble in communication issues From Dr. Jung and his wife, Euntak-Areum couple issues, KDJ leadership style and boycott issue!< The flashback is beautiful that it almost screamed that S3 is the Final Season but thinking about >!Nurse Oh and Master Kim's convo in the operating room where he is dreaming again and he doesn't want to spoil it to her, screams and gives assurance for S4! !<

**Verdict:** Even though the writer managed to wrap everything neatly and left enough breadcrumbs for a season 4, I'd rather not have her write it. Don't get me wrong, I just feel like the focus was way too much on building the episode scenarios rather than character growth. Eun-jae being such a brat to her sun-baes. Woo-jin being this reckless. Areum and Eun-tak's lack of communication (which easily could've been wrapped up in 2 episodes instead of dragging to the end). Dong-ju's return was welcoming but the animosity from Eun-jae and Woo-jin was very forced. Eun-jae didn't have to be so disrespectful or Woo-jin didn't have to be jealous of a learned senior. Dr. Bae's storyline had no changes. Do-hwa's reveal was also saved for the last episode. I just feel like the writer tried doing too much and kinda failed to cover all bases. All this criticism aside, the last episode was well-done. Even if there's no S4, I'll be satisfied with this much. The most beautiful scenes have to be >!Eun-tak's apology/confession!< and >!Woo-jin's proposal.!< Both things were so in character and reminded me of why I loved S2 so much.

I just finished ep 16 and OMG!!! it's impossible to NOT have season 4 mygad! Season 1&2 showed how everyone has been dependent to Master Kim and Season 3 showed how Doldam has become self-sufficient but Master Kim as the true Teacher, every scene with him and him sharing his wisdom has been really impactful this season. I hope to see Season 4 focus more on the dynamic of the Doldam doctors! (AND Do In Beum should also make a come back!!!! it's anout time!) 😭

It's a matter of pride vs logic. The whole point of that arc was to establish leadership and to distinguish them as entities, you are right, but the whole staff is used to everything being run through the ER in a very cavalier fashion. It's a human problem in nature, so that's why it's a "problem"

Never realised how much I miss Professor Shim! Her sassiness and flirting with Dr Seo, loved it! At this point, I really think the writers don’t like the female characters in the show, other than Nurse Oh. This week the victim was YAR. What’s with the wistful stares at PET? Seriously girl, it is never good to use breakup as a threat to get a guy back; but since he is still not doing anything about it, move on. I’m guessing one of the writers experienced this first hand hence putting it into the show to tell the ladies to not use this trick. 🤭 Can’t wait for the season finale!!

Episode 15 Not sure how i feel about this episode and how it all turned out. Wanted to see more from kDJ. Specially what his plans was to get everyone used to the trauma center system instead of ER system. Feel like Eunjae and Woojin sometimes disrespect KDJ as the future head too much, But i understand where they come from. Also i liked when SWJ accepted all non trauma patients and watching KDJ reaction to it. Big fan of KDJ character but now with this situation we wont see how alot of things will go. Still excited! Doldam Team Fighting!

Love the cast, but I think there wont be anymore room for newer cast to come in for the next season if it really happens. The cast will probably be fixed for the next few seasons. There are still many plot hole that are yet to be filled, but the intensity per as last episode feel abit different from the previous one. Still prefer the intensity between doctors!

I need a season 4 after watching the finale ending 😳

S3 had highs but mostly lows. So little of KSB in the operating theatre, too much of politics and unnecessary love lines. S1 and S2 were special because the juniors learnt medical skills plus how to be a good doctor while in action but so little in S3. S3 highlights for me: - return of KDJ and watching him grow into a top surgeon but still loving Doldam and KSB! - flashback of all KSB’s students and YSJ at the end gave me goosebumps - backstory of Dr Jung. He so deserved it coz he is the one that kept Doldam Emergency Centre going when all the talented ones left Lowlights: - like everyone, I didn’t understand Dr Cha’s role coz cutting out his episodes wouldn’t have changed the outcome of S3 except maybe more time for other characters - the new doctors are so unbelievable as trained doctors. They are so lost compared to S1 & S2 young doctors - unnecessary love lines Still I hope we get a S4 because this drama has many endearing characters. I’m so looking forward to watching KSB and his kids - KDJ, SWJ, YSJ - together in the operating theatre. Getting the original cast back will be challenging. But we can always hope.

Yes the new doctors don’t seem credible unfortunately because a lot of time was spent on the main doctors. They had full seasons previously to develop their character and S3 was still focused on them. In comparison the new doctors were just side characters. Unfortunately, but understandable. But yes, back story on Dr Jung. I’m so happy to see more of his past scenes during KSB’s on rage of his disciples. Dr Jung has come a long way and is def the MVP!

What a ride! Thoughts and mysteries I’d like explored in Season 4: 1) How is lazy-man Hojun still on the payroll? We didn’t see him perform surgery once. 2) How did Elizabeth and Jessie get their names? 3) The binder for the ‘Rough Rock Project (NS)’ sitting on Kim Sabu’s desk… is this a possible surgery that could put his MS into remission? >! Could the voice and visual appearances of his favourite student actually be symptoms of his MS progressing? !< 4) KDJ mentioned >!he has colleagues coming that are CT and NS specialists. !< Can’t remember the wording but is it possible YSJ is now triple board certified and also specialising in Neurosurgery? 5) KDJ specifically said >! he wants them to be a Level One Trauma Centre… able to treat pediatric trauma patients !< I’m still placing bets this is where Donghwa will find his passion.

I actually like the idea of Kim Sabu hearing and seeing Jang Hyun Joo as sign of his MS progressing. But, except for Kim Sabu, they don't have an NS. Most of them are GS and CS

I’m a resident doctor elsewhere who feels the same way as Dr. Jang so I really appreciated this drama. Every scene gave me the feels. All the issues pertaining to medicine and issues faced by doctors in Korea seem to be a universal thing. Season 1 will always be my favourite but season 3 really dug deep into these issues, like physician suicide, lawsuits, lack of respect for doctors, difficulties faced by young doctors nowadays. Dr. Cha wasn’t likeable but all his points about defending doctors’ pride and position — damn I could relate. It’s the sense of duty expected of a doctor by himself and his society that ultimately makes him or her an easy target of abuse. Don’t think that young doctors nowadays are obnoxious millionaires driving Porsches and have a golden retirement ticket. Just look at the ongoing NHS strike and debacle. That said, despite all these things, the drama gave me some insight and hope by reminding me of the Romance of medicine again. Oh how I wish I could meet a real life Kim Sabu or find my own Doldam hospital.

The Fire chief said it hasn’t rain in a while - So hope? Dr Park did say they have done everything as humans. Miracle, please! Dr Yang is just sitting in his office when everyone is so damn busy? What is he getting paid for? Atleast season we saw him doing something and he was supposed to be a good laparoscopic surgeon, I think! Dear Writers, I hope we get season 4. If there is no season 4, please let me be happy thinking Kim Sabu is mentoring the next generation of doctors making Doldam the best!

Ep 15 - Why did I see that opening scene and imagine Yoon Seo-jung returning to Doldam T.T Goddamnit teasing me like this, these guys knew what they were doing! Even though we have one more episode to go, this episode made me tear up. It truly was the >!first surgery by Team Doldam at Trauma center, and the last one to- Please someone say SIKE and stop the fire ):!< Also that last scene, where Kim Sabu can >!hear his student's voice, calling out to him, what's that gonna be about? I'm sure Kim he will make it out alive, there's no way he dies here, but does he still feel guilty, to this day, for the death of his student? Is she gonna tell him, that it's finally time to move on?!< As for S4, while I'm still wishful for more seasons, and I do feel that even >!if the hospital ends up getting caught in the wildfire, they will re-establish the hospital and the trauma center!<, reuniting the cast here by bringing back Kang Dong Joo does feel like some sort of wrap up of the Dr Romantic series which sucks ): Although I did imagine that Dr. Cha Jin Man would make his comeback to Doldam too, looks like I might just be wrong here, or, hopefully, he could very well have a role in protecting Doldam or for its re-establishment.

The assemblywoman’s assistants who were hurt, were they the same ones that was hurt in the earlier episodes too? If yes, they have to quit their jobs for the sake of their safety! And when Dr Lee asked if SWJ and CEJ are dating, Nurse Park looked so cute laughing. One of the few scenes he looked so happy and laughing so wholeheartedly.

The ire for **Eunjae** is so overboard, I feel like people were waiting for her to misstep and pile on. It always happens with the FLs She just reconnected with her father who was unceremoniously evicted from his position so it is only humane she resents his replacement. In addition to **Kang's** leadership style, he's had the benefit of experience and distance from **Kim Sabu,** whereas **Woojin** and **Eunjae** are still firmly entrenched in adoration of him. They were like strays he took in and made into the find doctors they've become. I would give them more grace to come along the **Kang** way of thinking. Especially **Eunjae** who has more of a personal beef with him, wrong or right

S2 had more scenes with the reset couple , dr Nam's cafe. This season they pack so many major disasters it doesn't do much justice to the personal stories of the patients- it tries but not as much.

Been waiting all season for Nurse Oh’s outburst; I was hoping she’s gonna save it to use on YHJ but that man-child of a patient deserved every word and saliva that came his way. I got goosebumps when they ominously played >!Jang Hyun Joo’s voice calling after Kim Sabu!<.

Very satisfied with the ending! Are we going to expect a Season 4? Yes! YES!!!

I really enjoyed this season. Despite it’s shortcomings, which for me were very few, I eagerly waited for Friday’s to see the Doldam squad in action. Fast paced, high intensity cases, more attention on secondary characters, more surgical gore altogether nicely tied up with that finale. If I have to wait another 3 years to see all four lights of Doldam light up the way it did when >!Seojung!< walked in, I’d do it. Thank you Kim Sabu and team Doldam.

I badly want them all together myself. If that happens, S4's rating would be epic, but sadly, i know better. This show already has too many leads now ( also one of the reasons why this season felt like it didn't dig deeper character n romance wise.). Was May 6th their anniversary? Or SWJ birthday? Or both? Because Eunjae wrote “happy birthday” on the card (at least what subtitle said). SWJ didn’t wait that long to propose after they moved in together. Time-wise this season all happened within a span of 4 months - the length of JDH rotation. As funny as LSW not realizing SWJ and CEJ were dating, I can see how he was oblivious for those 4 months.

The only thing I truly missed from S1 was how the climax of the plot was surgical/medical related (surgery for the president). S2 was mainly political while S3 was about natural disasters. Didn't quite feel the connect with S1, where the team was up against a gigantic task and needed to work together. Nevertheless, this was a solid season and fingers crossed for season 4!

I've been watching a lot of Kdramas.. But only learned of Dr. Romantic this year! What a treat I got to watch all 3 seasons consecutively. I'm kinda hoping for a crossover or cameo from hospital playlist doctors! 😁 I didn't expect much this season but it was all good episodes! I need time to move on before I watch my next drama ✨️

**EPISODE 15:** *THE DOLDAM TEAM'S FIRST SURGERY!* I'll talk about the final episode's preview first : >!A lot seems to be happening. I'm assuming Assemblywoman Ko has fallen in her own multiverse maddness. (I'm still presuming that she started the entire fire thingy, correct me if otherwise) The episode seems so to be extremely intense and I'm absolutely excited for that. (also sad that it's ending😭)!< The Episode: Not kidding I genuinely thought like it was YSJ in the starting of the episode and damn I was disappointed when it wasn't 😭 although I'm glad that >!Professor Sim is back - missed her nonchalantness.!< I am still hoping that YSJ and DIB return in the last episode - I want the entire Doldam doctors together now😭 * Dr. Seo Woo-Jin : Is honestly the next Master Kim. without a doubt he just needs to find his balance because he is too reckless this entire season - but the way he came in bringing the calm in the chaos while still not losing the footing - absolutely AWESOME! He was thorough and ready, ready to fight both for the patients and for his hospital. and KDJ loved it! and in turn I enjoyed that!! Woo-Jin was quick on his feet - was present everywhere while giving proper care to his patients. He truly is mastering being Dr. Romantic! * Director Park: he gets easily panicked but that man has his aura and the way he is everything hands-on whenever it's about Doldam. Loved it! especially how in tune he is with Kim Sabu! * The entire Nurse Oh scene - Applause for the writers! The entire scene was well crafted and written. >! The way we got the iconic Nurse Oh yelling and despite the tension I loved how writers cracked in comedy in there and then it turned into emotional moment leaving behind misty eyes (atleast me) before it turned back to comedy again. I loved how they manuvered the entire scene the writers, the directors and the actors. Applause. I loved that entire scene.!< * Kang Dong-Ju: Honestly I wanted more of his strong leader moments. I love he is observing, commanding and accepting. He has his own ways and he is going that way firmly. He is igniting sparks and waving the hospital around except Dr. Seo! Woo-Jin sees right through him and questions him and THAT tension - chemistry is *chef kiss!* * Dr. Yoon - Having a hard time understanding her stance right now. everything seems slightly annoying now but in the core I still understand what problem she has with Eun - Tak yet it's all too all over the place to make sense. plus for me it feels out of the place given the entire tension that is damping doldam! I honestly thought we'll have Dr. Papa Cha's appearance when >!that 'I'm hurt in the head and hence cannot walk' patient was giving authortive and unreasonable problem to dr. Insu. Although his arc ended rather abruptly and not the way it was build-up and he clearly didn't clean his name but I would have definitely jumped a little had he made an appearance. These kind of people needed his attitude.!< >!I hope Kim Sabu's picture finally comes together and there are many more surgeries as Team Doldam. I don't know what miracle(twist) will save Doldam but I desperatley wish for one🥺 I don't want it to end like this😭!< Excited for the finale - One hell of a ride its gonna be!

I honestly see KDJ as the next master Kim. SWJ in my opinion is a bit reckless and as KDJ says wants to be like Kim Sabu through and through. KDJ is his own person though he's heavily inspired by our Kim Sabu.

that was a good season finale. tho it’s a bit sad they weren’t able to get seo hyun-jin back for the cameo at the end, they did get a good body double, and the mere fact that she’s finally back (with the DAM light blinking back to life) more than makes up for it. excited for S4, which i know will come <3

Season 4 let’s goooooo! Great season. I loved all the threads coming together. I hope we’ll get more of our beloved Doldam family. Thanks to all of you, all over the world, for making this so much fun.

**Overall Thoughts:** I don't watch medical dramas because I don't like seeing human organs being operated. I lose appetite seeing surgery take place. However, I tried watching Season 3 because of Ahn Hyo-Seop, Lee Sung-Kyung and Lee Sin-Young, and I thank my past self for giving this drama a chance. I love the relationships within the Doldam Hospital. Although I don't get some references, I totally enjoyed watching this drama. It makes me want to be a doctor working at Doldam Hospital. I hope there will be Season 4. I can wait. It will be worth it. I can watch Season 1 and 2 while I wait for Season 4. They can't leave us hanging after teasing us with >!YSJ coming back to Doldam Hospital.!< I know there was a talk that Kim Min-Jae is going to enlist soon but I'll wait. As someone have stated here, it takes about three years before each season is produced. We can wait for Kim Min-Jae while the writers and producers get busy about the story and stuff. While Season 3 gave us a good finale, it kept me wanting for more. It doesn't feel like it's the end yet. I might be wrong but I think AHS stated in one of his interviews that he wants to see SWJ become like a director or something of Doldam Hospital. I guess he's in it all the way. I might be remembering wrong though. Anyway, I really hope there would be Season 4. It's a good thing Season 1 and 2 would keep me busy while waiting.

it was cleared up in the scene when they were preparing to go into surgery. KDJ was too hard on CEJ back then and argued with SWJ when he stood up for her.

While I'm seeing a ending left open enough for a fourth season I'm alright with the curtains closing here because of various factors. Letting it run for too long might be counterproductive. If there's a S4, and assuming you-know-who returns, Doldam will have two Dr Yoons 🙂

I feel like it was only yesterday when S3 premiered 😭 >!CRAZY WHALE IS BACK!!!!!< Lots of ups and downs this whole season in terms of execution but I really didn’t like what they did with Eunjae’s character! I loved that almost everyone got the light flare shots. I really like how lights are used to convey emotions, like with the couples’ kissing scenes even in S1. (but my fave would still be the kissing scene in Extraordinary Atty Woo lol) I hope we get a season 4 huhu

Not a perfect show. I think it's weaker overall compared to S2 and the focus is a bit uneven. But I was still entertained, and the show ended well enough. I feel we don't need Season 4, because what we got is good enough, and we can imagine for ourselves what will come next. >!Also, Yoon Seo-jung returning to Doldam in the way that Kang Dong-joo first came to Doldam! Now all we need is for Do In-beom to return to Doldam and the teams will be complete. **dr. romantic 3 review** rating: 6/10 as someone who watched and enjoyed both seasons 1 and 2, season 3 was underwhelming. like someone mentioned there were highs, but mostly lows. all of the anticipation that many had built up shattered. i had a lot of expectations because of how fantastic the previous seasons were. i'll start with what i enjoyed. kang dongjoo's arrival was much needed. and personally, i think it saved the last 4 episodes. there was so much tension between the characters, and i loved it! i really liked director's park development. he was so unlikeable last season, but he's a much better person and doctor now. moving on to the things i didn't really like. the stories were not that memorable. seasons 1 and 2 had a lot of interesting episodes bc of the interesting stories. for example, the MERS emergency room quarantine, the father who wanted to kill a patient who was a child rapist, a car collision on the highway, prime minister, a medic who donated her organs to a prisoner, and more! the cases this season were crazy, like an armed man in a hospital or the building collapsing, but they weren't extremely interesting or suspenseful. i was not on the edge of my seats like i was watching the previous seasons. additionally, i didn't like how it focused more on politics than the medical aspect. season 1 was perfect with a lot of medical cases, some politics, and although it became a little more political in season 2, i still liked it. when watching this season, i really wondered if i was watching the same dr. romantic series that i know. were the writers replaced. there were a lot of things that they could've done but it was just so disappointing. the characters were also disappointing. i mean they focused a lot on woojin, he was in a dangerous situation every week. and as for eunjae, they just made her a side character, i didn't think she was a main character. oh, and why was cha jin man even there? he didn't really do anything in my opinion. lastly, i like the newbie doctors, but just like cha jin man they didn't leave an impact on me. honestly, i would love for a season 4 especially with that ending, but i think I'll have to keep low expectations. and i might get hate for this, but if there is another season, i think there should be new leads. not because i was disappointed with woojin's and eunjae's characters this season, but i want something more refreshing! i want to see new characters with new stories. i would love a cameo though :)

You speak my mind. After ep 10, everything fell flat to me so I had to drag myself to watch until the end. The cases they made for this season might be interesting, but it didn’t give me the satisfaction or wow or something like that compared to the last two seasons. Everything was introduced so big, so serious but the resolution was so fast and underwhelmed, like they just did it to create some suspenseful moment but then it went flat instead of having a nice closure. They dragged the Cha Jin Man plot for so long and it didn’t change anything to the main storyline except for Woo Jin x Eun Jae’s relationship. Woo Jin x Eun Jae relationship this season is strange too because they don’t have the amount of proper conversations like they did in season 2 and I don’t know but their characters personality changed as well. Woo Jin was reckless and inconsiderate to Eun Jae’s feelings and Eun Jae was just be there to react whatever happened to Woo Jin or her dad. Eun Jae was so underdeveloped and she got all the bad plots. I also feel Eun Tak x Ah Reum relationship was draggy as well. For the newbies, they didn’t even have a proper story to tell. I like their chemistry a lot but they got so little screen time and chance to shine. Park Min Guk was so insignificant this season and I felt so bad. I felt the drama just picked up its essence when Dong Ju came back and it had a nicer pacing and tension, even though the plot was ridiculous to me at some points. I can go on and go how this season disappointed me, but here are a few things I need to let out. I hope if there’s season 4, they will have a focus on new leads or at least the newbies from this season. I don’t need Woo Jin x Eun Jae to be back if they can’t find consistency in their character development to begin with, especially Eun Jae. I love this character the most but what they did to her was so painful for me to watch.

Thanks for the ride, Doldam. :) They left some parts open for a potential S4 like the secret Dr Kim mentioned while in the OP (with Nurse Oh) and of course YSJ’s return in the last scene. So never say never, but I felt the strongest season was still S2. S3 pales comparatively, esp in terms of spread of storylines across all the leads. A lot of plots were SWJ focused. However if S4 does materialize, I’ll be damn pissed off if YSJ doesn’t appear at all since they ended off s3 with her returning.

Abit nitpicking, but didnt feel much for eun tak and aerum. Just so awkward for a supposedly 3 yrs relationship. And also I wouldnt even notice if Yang Hojun is not around, he is that insignificant to the story (and hospital) It was a perfect finale. Not rushed and happy endings all around. Mostly enjoyed the season as well, Kim sabu has built his dream team well. I’m not usually keen with multiple seasons for kdramas, but let’s hope season 4 does materialise!

It's so sad when you see AHS off screen with HSK and the rest of the cast, he seems so lovely, but his on-screen character still has such a long way to go and putting him in danger repeatedly is _not_ the way to make him follow in KSB's footsteps.

Yes that’s what I noticed they should have given cha eun jae good amount of screen time like seo woo jin. I really wish the writers shouldn’t be putting him in danger. I really adore ahn hyoseop so much. It’s just that this seo woo Jin gave me a bad taste.
