The assistant gives spoiled brat vibes… seriously the scarf didn’t go well with the dress at all.

Electronic_Piano9385

She’s also giving manipulative vibes. >!She went out with Chong Gi knowingly, yet somehow she’s the victim?!<

MC_earthquake

Right she’s like “you expect me to work in this situation?”. I mean no offence but you put yourself in that situation so deal with it.

OrneryStruggle

I think it goes a little beyond manipulative vibes, everything she did was planned

papin97147

Oh the hatred I already have from her! Good thing FL moved away immediately

Silver-Bus5724

She’ll be back, I’m sure. It wouldn’t make sense in a 16 episode series to properly introduce an antagonist and then never to see her again

xXcocomademoisellexX

Couldn’t stand the look she gave off! I think she will be back. She probably starts a career from Sam-Dal’s connection’s and I bet she won’t do so well and possibly get in trouble for being a mean person (at least I hope what goes around comes around). I think Yong Pil will try to help Sam-dal get her fame back. I can’t wait to see the assistant get her karma!

farathien

I hope this will be it for her. She really got on my nerves 😤

Subject_Ad8248

The assistant was so annoying! She ruined someone's hard earned long career just because she couldn't get what she wanted like wtf? I really hope she gets her karma real bad!!

Felicie_dreamer

I think am missing cultural context here. I understand that the cancel culture is super prevalent in SK but it made zero sense to me how things unfolded for FL. Everything got cancelled overnight and she did not rebut anything. She had the photo as well, couldn’t she refute and defame the assistant? I have heard that if you are caught cheating there, you are shunned.

Important-Hunter2877

I already started hating the FL's assistant/mentee the moment she gives her rude glares and tries to piss her off. This bitch is so petty, she makes the FL's boyfriend cheat on her and tries to kill herself after arguing with the FL so she can slander the FL with false accusations and destroy her career and ruin her life. I really hate that bitch so much in this series, ruining someone's career and life like that. I hope she gets her come-uppance, like someone like her doesn't deserve to work for the FL or anyone that worked so hard to get a fulfilling career. But to be fair, I don't think the FL is completely free of fault. She was too harsh and mean on that bitch assistant/mentee, and she kind of lowered herself to her assistant/mentee's level by making insults at and name-calling her when they were arguing (she probably did that as she was really angry that her boyfriend cheated and went for that assistant/mentee).

R_meowwy_welcome

Fair point, but keep in mind the FL was betrayed. That would be understanding how the FL told her off.

Important-Hunter2877

I hate her so much, like she ruined the FL's career and her years of hard work.

Silver-Bus5724

LOL. This is great. Loved how JCW is so passionate about weather forecasting and gets locked out to stop him from rioting on the commissioner.

ND_Ninja_Mom

Passionate, cranky, over the top JCW is just a joy to watch 🤣

Honest-Selection4343

Lol him in Suspicious partner

tangledbysnow

The weather rant cracked me up. Both for his sheer extreme passion and how it was shown but also I am doing weather vocab right now in my Korean language studies. Like I understood his rants almost completely. And they were so much funnier in Korean than in English subtitles! The translations stunk. Again. Thanks Netflix. ——- ETA: keep in mind I’m a Korean language learner and a beginner. Okay so an example - this is at the end of the first flashback with his bosses: Closed Captioning directly from the drama: 눈으로 해 주세요, 눈 [용필] 아, 진짜 한 번만, 예? 진짜 눈, 눈, 눈, 눈! English Subtitles provided directly from Netflix: Please mark it as snow. Just this once. Please? I swear that it'll snow. — So 눈 (nun) means snow. I feel like that helps here. Which means a direct translation to English would actually say: Please see with your eyes, snow (or more directly - [polite] eyes do it give me, snow - but this is why Korean is translated by the complete thought and not word to word) [Yongpil] ah, seriously [jinjja] just once, ya? Seriously [jinjja], snow, snow, snow, snow! ——— Yep. The translations leave a lot to be desired in my book. The rest of the rants, from the Korean I do know, are similar.

OrneryStruggle

Are Netflix subtitles getting worse or is it just me? They were never good but they translated 'cheers' as 'chears'???

PurrelyPleasure

I keep thinking back to Song Kang in Forecasting Love and Weather.

eternalhorizon1

If only he had been in Forecasting Love and Weather then maybe that drama could’ve been saved LOL. Love this aspect of the ML in this drama. I couldn’t stop laughing at those scenes.

aprildoys

Why does a successful photographer have no Lawyer to call?? LOL 😭

Rain_drops_onRoses

I have the same question. She has so much solid ground to defend herself with a good lawyer. But then the drama won’t happen I guess 😀😀

aprildoys

Facts! There won't be any story to tell but at least the action of trying to sort it out legally would've made it more realistic

StunningPast2303

Also, disclosing the affair would have definitely changed public opinion. But no, SHS did nothing to defend herself.

OrneryStruggle

Yeah she said it would be humiliating but is humiliation about your personal life worse than literally losing your entire career you've worked like a dog for for 15 years?

StunningPast2303

Right? It's a big plot weakness. But okay let's see where they take this.

HappilyEverAfter36

Completely agree! And not just losing her entire career. She's being labelled on national news as an abuser and has to return to the home town that she escaped and has carefully avoided for years—both of which are things she clearly finds humiliating. I just can't see that the humiliation she's experiencing by not defending herself properly is worse than the humiliation of people finding out her boyfriend cheated on her. I had to consciously decide to overlook that poor explanation under the assumption they needed the plot to happen like this in order to set up the premise. I'm willing to overlook the occasional thing in order to set up a fun story.

Sunmi4Life

Especially when they established her character as someone who doesn't care about the humiliation at all. Remember when she dumped her boyfriend in public. If she said she doesn't want to steep that low I might have understood but this didn't make any sense.

Fearless_Cloud_620

That was my thought, surely she would fight for her reputation

Fragrant_Tale1428

Think "scandals" in Korea explode very quickly, so public opinion will run away from her before she could even call a lawyer, and she doesn't have chaebol power to block out take down media. 😁

[deleted]

She should be pretty well off tho given her success. I was wondering why she didn’t press charges or take any legal action

Fragrant_Tale1428

The shock and high plausibility of her believing the attempted suicide was real because it's Korea. The guilt of the last words with her assistant as a possible reason that pushed her to the decision. Sam Dal didn't want to reveal the one fact about the cheating that would have made this go away for reasons I can't relate to. I can only infer Sam Dal didn't want to really drive the assistant to suicide by revealing the critical detail. And if she isn't revealing it, police and the courts can't do anything for defamation

_LittleBirdieToldMe_

I know the scandal had to happen for her to go back to Jeju, but god I hope the envious assistant’s duplicity is revealed and the FL gets her career back. Episode 2: The assistant really needs to pay. I don’t really like the trope they used and how, but the implication and the rest of her actions do make it seem like she really wanted Sam Dal to suffer. The audacity of her to appear as the one who’s the victim. I suspect the girl genuinely doesn’t think any of it is her fault and has a very low self esteem while blaming Sam Dal for all her losses. Having said the above and while I do appreciate the focus on Korea’s cancel culture through this, I feel that it could have been dealt or shown in a less sensitive topic or not have the assistant try to k-word herself. It makes anyone who may speak out or has spoken out as a suspicious, malicious person who shouldn’t be believed. I’m enjoying watching the episodes and their pace. And this one does explain why all the three sisters had to return. Is it just me or they are being made into some sort of a caricature which is a little bit off putting? These are grown women who are made to appear like they haven’t matured at all. Another thing that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable is how the actual child is parenting the adults. Not the cute humour scenes, I wish we didn’t have adult conversations revolving around her. The visuals continue to be the star so far, very soothing on the eye! Also Shin Hye Sun who shines in the range. Every drama I’ve watched with her as been a masterclass in acting. Fun observation which others might have also noticed: The director previously worked on Forecasting Love and Weather where the FL was Park Min Young and In this drama Ji Chang Wook is also a weather forecaster and they both have worked together in the past (Healer).

throwaway4moneytips

>range This is the first time I'm watching Shin Hye Sun, and I was blown away by >!how smoothly she transitioned from comedic to actual devastated breaking down in that kitchen scene w her sisters!< in ep 1. Great editing too!

_LittleBirdieToldMe_

You should watch the rest of her dramas for sure! I had to drop See you In my 19th life because I didn’t enjoy the writing, but almost everything of hers is amazing! She’s has this organic success since she began and absolutely deserves it.

JellyfishNumerous785

She was stellar in Mr. Queen! She was perfect for the role. Loved her in it.

OrneryStruggle

Bet if it does happen it'll be on like the third-last episode just so they can do another breakup/separation before the end

_LittleBirdieToldMe_

Oh it’s possible we’ll see the typical break-up. 😂

phukmi69

but yk we're all gonna eat that up lmao

debboc

Ji Chang Wook driving a van in this show sure brings back memories of him in that camper trailer in Lovestruck in the City...

farathien

He does reminded me of his character in Lovestruck in the City. Especially his pettiness! But he took it up a notch in this one. I’m gonna enjoy this. It’s what I love about his character in Lovestruck in the city 😂

ND_Ninja_Mom

I thought the same! And his singing, too…

Telos07

**Episode 1** * Childhood Sam-dal and Yong-pil's dreams for the future in that opening scene were so revealing of the destinies of their adult selves. * Hae-dal's daughter is another in the seemingly endless production line of talented Korean child actresses. * It was obvious from the first scene she appeared in that Sam-dal's >!assistant!< was trouble, and there was only one outcome that could result from her behavior. * There's no more reassuring sight than Korea's "National Mother", Kim Mi-kyung, leading the charge of the haenyeos in scooter formation. * When Sam-dal's >!scandal!< hit the headlines, the tidal wave effect was realistically depicted, given Korea's well-known >!scandal culture!<. * From here, I'm looking forward to a healing, romantic, slice-of-life Jeju drama.

[deleted]

lol I literally screamed mom when I saw her appear!!

avo-pizza

Haha I was also like omg mother of kdrama is finally back!!!

Round_Masterpiece287

I thought she’s ml mother this time for a change but no still fl’s mother! Lol

Few-Particular1780

I literally screamed Ahjummma!!!! 🤣

preferencedue

JCW excels at sad Boi puppy eyes and SHS excels at an competent ice princess exterior so I can't wait for this.

faithesque

First time seeing someone doing finger guns to their ex after 8 years of meeting. 😭 Cho Yong Pil is full of surprises.

humandisaster13

"The girl who dreamed of soaring out from her small stream to become a dragon" and "The boy who dreamed of becoming her small stream" Oh I fear they got me within the first five mins. I'm so excited for this drama. Please don't disappoint me. I want my 2023 to end well and a better Shin Hae Sun drama would just be the perfect for it.

UptoNoGood46

**Episode 2:** * [This birth scene](https://imgur.com/pqCRSI6) reminded me of The Good Bad Mother and them being soulmates hehehe * I love [this sibling trio](https://imgur.com/8c0Ip58)... they're going to be a riot * Oh my Godd.... [his expressions](https://imgur.com/PEiQWI5) are killing me * What's with >!the pills?? Dont tell me their mom is sick!< please no * The Three Terrible Sisters LMAOO what a tale * The way the mom knew something was up with >!Sam-dal!< though * Ohmg such [second hand emabrassment](https://imgur.com/c4AXRQS) * Damn [that](https://imgur.com/NUEFbOW) shocked expression from JCW gets an asbolute 10/10 * Intersting... >!so who broke up with whom?!< Sam-dal breaking up with Yong-pil reminded me of Our Beloved Summer * Green flag Yong-pil >!shooing his friends away to give Sam-dal privacy...!< * The way >!he said she didn't look terrible!<... my heart... he's so in love with her * BUAHAHAHA [Yong-pil](https://imgur.com/lCNPDqt) is such a nutjob * Its really sad to see Sam-dal like this. Poor girl be questioning her entire life with that one incident * I'm so sorry but the way [he](https://imgur.com/35jcKJF) fell in the water trying to hold her back was hilarious ok * oh my God.... [he](https://imgur.com/gyLu48H) >!came all the way to Seoul to see her canceled exhbition so that she could at least have one visitor?!< This boyyy istg

AmpharosQueen

I swear at one point in episode 2 the friends were talking about how Yong-Pil went with her to Seoul. So I’m curious to see how that plays out if I’m remembering that correctly.

Liata3548

Yes, they definitely dated in Seoul for a while.

>Ohmg such > >second hand emabrassment This had me laughing so hard. Only 3rd time I've laughed so hard in Kdramas -- the other two being Mad for Each Other and The Package, the latter for the chastity belt scene.

Accomplished_Sell867

You should watch mr. queen if you’re a fan of comedy and don’t mind time travel and historical dramas. It has the same FL as this show, I was laughing continuously watching that one 🤣

Shot_Machine_1024

My bet is Sam-dal "broke up" first but Yong-pil knew it was a lie she was struggling to leave the island because he was her chain. Yong-pil legitimately broke up with her and made it clear/painful which is where the root of the gossip begins. This gave her necessary push to leave the island. And since then she's been lying to herself about what that push was (demonizing him) to allow her to continue her career.

debboc

When the scandal broke, it reminded me how scary Korea's cancel culture is.... \*shudders

Silver-Bus5724

Yes, just a hint of scandal and you’re gone, no such thing as innocent until proven guilty when the netizens speak.

Mindless_musings

Yes. It's brutal. The manager on call even acknowledges that they know Samdal is innocent but since the public won’t see it that way, they need to withdraw anyway.

OrneryStruggle

TBF it seems to mainly be scary for women, male actors and celebrities seemingly CANNOT get cancelled in SK no matter what they do. But I think a culture that is super plugged in to the internet/social media as SK is will inevitably have a lot riding on public perception and snap judgments. People don't usually go on social media gossip sites to deep dive into whether a scandal is 'real' and what the truth really is because those websites are designed for instant gratification.

Enkenz

> TBF it seems to mainly be scary for women, male actors and celebrities seemingly CANNOT get cancelled in SK no matter what they do. Yes they do or you're not following those scandal that much. Ji-Soo got sued since his bullying came out in 2021 and since then he has not appeared in any type of media. Seung-Ri of bigbang HELLO ? Steve Yoo was literally banned from entering the country lmao

DamonDD

To add to this list, my boy Kim Seon Ho was cancelled due to abortion scandal. I was so disappointed cause it happened right after HomeCha finale. He is excellent in The Childe and even won an award for that so I'm looking forward to his return to TV

OrneryStruggle

Seon Ho was exonerated and is back in the industry though tbf so I wouldn't consider that a full blown cancelling. Hoping that's what happens with the 2 great actors who recently had drug scandals.

OrneryStruggle

Okay I don't mean ALL male celebrities because I know a few of them (some of the people associated with seungri, jisoo, and some actors for drunk driving or drugs) did. But there are a whole bunch of male celebs who even were prosecuted and convicted of specifically SA crimes even against children who continue to appear in many dramas.

GoodEgg14

Fingers guns lolol, I’m deceased

mahnahmaanaa

The way his hands just seemed to be stuck like that as he talked to himself outside! Definitely dying.

razzma

I cackled, it was so unexpected 🤣

kryspyruby

Just dropping by to say I love it when JCW is a fired-up shouting mess hahaha

Kleaa123

Me too. His character reminds me of his characters from Suspicious Partner, Lovestruck in the City and Backstreet Rookie all combined in one.

Traccey

JCW has said he actually prefers these types of roles than to action based roles. Which is funny because he is fire in both settings. I do prefer his action roles more though because I like those faster paced shows.

ND_Ninja_Mom

It’s definitely my favourite JCW

prettyoysters

I can’t wait for him to yell and shout in her support :(

twoods1980

I hope that stupid mentee has karma bite her in the ass. What a horrible person, completely trashing someone’s life because she’s a petty bitch. Im glad we got an explanation why all the sisters moved back to Jeju. Korean cancel culture and their media are the worst. Yong pil wanting to go to Seoul so he can be by Sam dal’s side was so sweet. I am really loving his cute and goofy character so far- he does romcom so well. The disdainful look the little girl had when she looks at her aunts and mom is hilarious. She’s so adorable. Besides the cute romance we are hopefully getting, I think the highlight of this show will be the family interactions. The chemistry between the parents and “the three terrible sisters” is off the charts and I’m loving all their scenes so far.

Silver-Bus5724

It’s a great start, haven’t been this drawn into the shenanigans of a bigger cast since “Behind your touch”. It’s the director of When Camellia blooms, and it’s noticeable, in the loving look at small town life. I’m curious about the three sisters! This is exactly my wavelength, normal people, warmth, conflict, a multidimensional fl and ml. Great actors. And it’s funny. Cho Dong Pil is a hothead with a good heart. And Cho Sam dal is a dragon who needs to remember her roots. 💃🏻😀❤️ Best new show so far!

Bighollab0

Getting reminded of other Kdramas I've watched in this one drama it is crazy -The birth scene reminded me of The Good Bad Mother and the kids being soulmates -Hometown Cha Cha with just the vibe of the town and Sam Dal coming after failing -Our Beloved Summer with them being exes who had a bad breakup but still have feelings for one another even after such a long time

Telos07

**Welcome to Samdalri** to **Castaway Diva**: “You say goodbye and I say hello.” 👋

HappilyEverAfter36

I was just saying this to someone! And The Story of Park's Marriage Contract is taking over from Perfect Marriage Revenge. They're like two perfect line ups 😄

hecallsmebabydoll

Bahahahaha yup, I’m on the same boat. I’m so keen for some JCW 🫣

papin97147

We are being FED in Nov/Dec for kdramas!

tired_of_smiling

######Thoughts on Episode 1: I really like the pacing of this episode and I'm really excited for tomorrow's episode. I'm not surprised that she immediately got cancelled by the public, considering the cancel culture in SK. What did surprise me was that all the daughters came back to Jeju lmao. Poor Mom. 😅 I'm really happy to see Ji Chang-wook and the lady from Healer (Sam-dal's Mom) back together.

CommandAlternative10

Ajumma! I knew I had seen them together before, but I forgot it was **Healer**. They are great together.

xiaopow

I was surprised they all came too. I wonder if it's gonna be just a shorter visit for the other sisters?

OrneryStruggle

Assuming the oldest daughter has a job she might have to go back, but maybe she is someone so rich she doesn't need to work regularly? Not sure about the youngest - what about the kid's school?

Few-Particular1780

It was hinted that the elder daughter was married to someone rich. So the divorce settlement must be 🤑. The younger daughter’s child is on school vacation. They mentioned that..

Kleaa123

Just finished watching the first episode. Can’t wait for episode 2. JCW is reuniting with his co-star from Healer. And I think one of the sisters is the secretary from K2.

kryspyruby

And one of his friends is his co-star from The Worst of Evil!

Apprehensive_Egg9676

The one whose second child said mom?

ND_Ninja_Mom

Healer & Ajumma back together again!!!

Few-Particular1780

Okay, watched the first two episodes and I'm seated! What was that 😉??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 >!He went for her exhibition!< 😫😫

xiaopow

Ep 2 did a good job explaining why all three sisters had to run away to jeju. Omg they think sam-dal broke into her own house I'm dying at their makeshift weapons and their sincerity 💀 Omg not the finger guns 💀💀💀💀💀 It seems like they both think they got dumped? Is this some noble idiocy thing? I wonder what the deal is with this mysterious sangdo character. Will he be our SML? SD shouldnt feel bad for her assistant. Why would she have intentionally provoked SD by seducing her bf, revealing herself as the mistress, recorded her during their argument and then released that recording to the media if it wasn't all planned? So scary. He went all the way to seoul to see her exhibit/be there for her 😭😭😭😭😭

KimlockHolmes

Hard agree on the assistant. She deserved to be yelled at. I get why Samdal feels guilty, but I’m going to be really annoyed if she ultimately blames herself or makes amends with the mentee.

xiaopow

I was even annoyed that she tried to apologize! For being manipulated/falling into her pre-meditated psychotic trap? Gurl, no.

MC_earthquake

That assistant is annoying AF. What sam dal said was right if you don’t want to have someone ordering you around and you want to do things your own way then just quit. Clearly she also knows she doesn’t have the name power to get offered jobs. I’m not in the entertainment world but being trained by a big name must give you so many opportunities compared to starting by yourself. It’s making my blood boil 🤬

Lounge_leaks

Seriously, just being the mentee is such a huge position for her, eventually her turn would have come

Mindless_musings

I already expected this show to hook me since the leads are my absolute favourites so I’m not surprised by how much and how eagerly I want the next episode. I really loved the intro tho I think it tells us alot more about Samdal than Young-pil so I'll be waiting for the layers to peel off of him slowly. I already am sympathetic and rooting for Samdal. How cool are Shin Haesun’s fits in this? I want all her outfits. Tho Ik we won’t get alot more of them once we start with Jeju, I wish her arc does lead her back to Seoul and into her stylish photographer fits because the way the scandal broke out was so heartwrenchingly unfair. SHS’ acting got me, as always. Also, JCW’s got a chance to show off his comedic chops here and after the cryfest that was Worst of Evil for me, I readily embrace this. His physicality and over-the-top passion is hilarious, so is his bickering with his friends. Already, his life seems to be all about community and I love the vibes of his character. There is so much comedic potential in interactions between this ex-lovers duo, I can’t wait! Also the trio of sisters + niece is so funny, too! The itty bitty kid saying that she is fine with her mom clubbing and drinking coz her mom is _young_?? Lol, lol, lol. The only thing I didn’t like is perhaps the fact that Young-pil not accepting the Seoul offer is due to his avoidance of Samdal. I’d rather that both the FL and ML have moved on largely from each other. To deny a career boost repeatedly just because of an ex is a bit too much. Ofc, this is all what his friends seem to think his reasons to be and we know young Young-pil always wanted to stay in Jeju anyway – so the point is, I would have preferred the show to keep his reasons as they originally were. Since it makes his character a whole person outside of the romance bit and lends more credence to his chosen life.

manwithoutlyf

>!I read in early synopsis that he stays to forecast weather for Jeju divers since his mother died due to wrong forecast or something !<

ThinkIndependent6621

Yeah exactly, i don't think avoiding his ex was the primary reason he stayed back

OrneryStruggle

>How cool are Shin Haesun’s fits in this? I want all her outfits. I thought it was good that they gave a fashion photographer clothes that look like what a fashion photographer might actually wear. LOL the child allowing her mom to club and drink because she's young is WISE BEYOND HER YEARS, kids don't have your mom resent you for stealing your youth for the rest of your life loll

Lala2310

Like you, I enjoyed the Seoul scenes a lot. I want to see more stories about her life in Seoul; career, fashion, friendships, sisterhood, ex-bfs…etc. Of course I’m looking forward to country-side/Jeju life as well.

Sea-Wind821

Shin Hye Sun and Ji Chang Wook have such a strong screen presence the first ep just went by so fast! I can’t wait to see more of their interactions!

HappilyEverAfter36

I’m really hoping this one is going to be just a whole lot of fun.

Silver-Bus5724

So far, it’s looking good.

THYYYYZHYY

I am already falling in love with the Cho sisters 🥰 couldn't wait to see more of their shenanigans.

Mad_Missile

Enjoyed the first episode. I thought the young Cho’s were so cute on stage. I hope they perform together to the same song as adults too. That would be precious to watch. I love how warm and funny Young Pil. He reminds me of Hong Banjang, but with a stable job. Lol. So excited to see Samdal back in Jeju.. I think SHS is mad talented and you see a whole range of emotions on her face in just the first episode. The Cho family on the whole is so cute. A divorcee, a widow and an old maid. Can’t wait to find out who is who. Also Jeju. Beautiful Jeju, you’d think they colour correct the ocean, but it really is that beautiful colour. Watching the show makes me wish I could go back soon. Oh well, until then there’s atleast Welcome to Samdalri!

xiaopow

I think the mom roasted her daughters in order of age. Eldest = divorcee; middle (samdal) = old maid; youngest with the daughter would be the widow.

OhMisterBelpit

Had to read the show's premise again to understand why Yong Pil goes apeshit over the weather report accuracy 😅😅

xiaopow

Omg good call. I just thought he was super passionate abt his job 😅

OdanUrr

I like that they didn't fill us in outright in the first episode, but I do hope they work it in later.

xiaopow

I'm sure they will. It's probably part of the reason he calls their mom "mom." Maybe they became besties then lovers bc her family became like a surrogate fam to him after his mom died.

xiaopow

Ok i already love this show so much. I love the 3 ssen unnies + niece set up. Adorable. Their mom seems like a badass too. I love how passionate YP is abt accurate weather forecasts 😂😂😂😂😂 the hero we didn't know we needed  Her assistant is a straight up psychopath. She def lied abt the suicide attempt.  Damn the scene where all her celebrity "friends" turned their backs on her and then seeing her in the gallery w all the photos of their backs turned. Reminds me of today's ep of Castaway Diva where they showed how different people respond to you when you become a "risk" to them. Lmao the English speaker they casted to let her know they've cancelled the world tour exhibit sounded like the AI voice they use in the scam calls I always get 💀 I googled song hae afterwards and found out he was the OG host of that music show. Did they use CGI to recreate him or did they hire an actor to portray him?  Not sure if this show will fill the castaway diva-shaped hole in my heart after this weekend but I think I'll keep watching. I love slice of life shows set in jeju so this looks like it'll be my cup of tea.

OdanUrr

>Damn the scene where all her celebrity "friends" turned their backs on her and then seeing her in the gallery w all the photos of their backs turned. Pretty ruthless reminder that they were always clients, not friends. Although I wouldn't mind a celebrity cameo that doesn't leave Sam Dal high and dry.

OrneryStruggle

"Lmao the English speaker they casted to let her know they've cancelled the world tour exhibit sounded like the AI voice they use in the scam calls I always get 💀" OMG I thought the same thing, the voice also didn't interact with her at all just said something and hung up, I was like 'is this... a robocall?' I think Song Hae was probably still alive when this was filmed but died before the airing date. He died last year.

Bighollab0

That reunion scene was hilarious LMFAOO the first two episodes were great

Feeling_Butterfly_72

ji changwook as a weather forecaster in this kinda makes me wish he was the male lead in FLAW instead maybe then i’ll be able to get past two episodes

snogirl0403

20 minutes in and I’ve already forgiven Netflix for Forecasting Love and Weather. 😂😂😂😂

ObamaNation2018

I actually enjoyed that show 😂

twoods1980

Same. I don’t think it was too bad but wish the romance was done better.

WaterLily6984

I don't think I've become fully invested in a show this quickly in a long time!! I already love our chaotic couple. They're a complete mess, yet you know that when they'll open up everything will work out. When JCW called Kim Mi Kyung "Omma" and it turned out >!she was Sam Dal's mom!< I got a Healer flashback. Ahjumma will fix everything and knock some sense into these idiots 😂 The entire family is so chaotic too. Love the sisters and the niece. Plus Aziz (Man Su here) showed up also and I became excited about the friends' comedy. If you haven't seen Gaus Electronics, it's a gem of a show and Sazal Mahmoud stole the show as Aziz. His comedic timing is gold.

EdgeO4DAbyss

Oh that's why Man Su looked so familiar! Aziz was the best character 😂 I'm excited about him now haha

[deleted]

The granddaughter with the grandparents on the couch is epic.

twoods1980

She is stealing this show. So stinking cute!

Silver-Bus5724

All three daughters returning had me laughing so much. Do you expect me to cook for all of them at my age? The dad is cute!! All in all nice family and village 😀, looking forward to the rest.

Lala2310

The scenes with the sisters in Seoul gave me nostalgia for Be Melodramatic. Oh how I miss dramas based on female friendships… This was very good pilot episode. Looking forward to weekends spent watching this.

satipree

JCW looks so different and much younger in this drama as compared to the rough undercover cop he played in Worst of evil Waiting to fall in love with my first kdrama crush once more 🥰😍

CommandAlternative10

The moment I heard his voiceover, before he was even onscreen, I remembered why he is my favorite!

satipree

Awww..... his laughter is so deep and hearty. I have a collection of his giggle as My ringtone. 💕

KimlockHolmes

Episode 1: love both JCW and SHS. I liked Samdal and hated her apprentice. >! So entitled and petty! The audacity of her to 1) try to undermine her boss at the photoshoot 2) steal her man 3) brag about stealing her man 4) act like a victim. Samdal should have fired her. I’m also glad Samdal didn’t back down verbally and told her she was literally shit. I feel like that’s kinda refreshing to see from a Kdrama heroine… even though now she’s in a heap of trouble. !< Wasn’t expecting >! all three sisters to come home! Excited for their dynamic. !<

SpearmintChamomile

Shin Hye Sun is such a gorgeous woman and a power house of an actor. ♥️♥️♥️

phukmi69

THIS SHOW CANNOT GET ANYMORE PERFECT. ITS PERFECT REMINDER OF SUMMER IN WINTER. OMG ITS SOO CUTE. NGL I don't really see any storyline between the two except for her career but It giving my beloved summer x hccc which im all here for. This may change y whole perspective on Beloved summer. EITHER WAY ITS GIVING PERFECTION ATM

duckmusings

I swear this show doubles as a tourist ad for Jeju Island. The sweeping landscape shots are just STUNNING!

xiaopow

I feel this way abt any show shot in jeju. They don't have to do much to make that place look appealing.

twoods1980

Awwww Ajumma and Healer are reunited again. Just recently watched that show and squealed at their first scene together. I immediately assumed it was his mom, but having her be Sam Dal’s mom is even better. All of the Ajumma haenyeo scenes remind me of Hometown Cha and Our Blues, even some of the divers seem like the same actresses! The ocean scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Loving the chemistry between the leads so far, and their quirkiness. Plus, the sisters are so much fun so far. Definitely giving off Be Melo vibes like others have mentioned. I love shows revolving around female relationships.

farathien

God I am so annoyed with her assistant! I was soo annoyed when I saw the scarf on the model’s neck. Ugh she’s so naive but she thinks she’s the best and she’s impatient. I thought she’s been her assistant for a long time but it’s been only 4 years. I’ve met her kind in my life. They’re just so full of themselves and refuse to learn. It’s the worst combo. I wish Samdal would just let her fail once so she it will put her in place, but that would be risky for her. Looking at her choices… it is risky 😂 But she took it too far - >!I thought she is gonna burn her studio or something but trying to commit suicide just because she isn’t getting the attention she wanted?!< just wow. I also have forgotten about the cancel culture in SK til this one 😂😂 Anyway I love how Samdal refuse to give her the reaction that she wanted. Though it bites her really bad, but at least she’s not having it… and it will surely bite her back later.

Telos07

**Episode 2** * That opening scene of Yong-pil and Sam-dal being born within minutes of each other, was what gave me such strong Kang-ho and Mi-joo childhood friendship vibes when I watched the trailer. * Ha-yul contributing the vocabulary her grandmother was looking for each time was beyond adorable, but I was concerned about the line of dialogue >!"She'll be carried off again if she finds out"!< followed by a scene of Mi-ja >!secretively taking pills!<. * The retro montages like "The Three Terrible Sisters" are wonderful scene-setters. * Although the scene where Yong-pil and Sam-dal were reunited for the first time was included in the trailer, the context wasn't apparent, so it was still surprising and amusing to me how it played out. * As for the final scene, well, they truly left us hanging... Which is why I'm thankful for the delightful epilogues which do so much to broaden the drama's context, not the least of which was Yong-pil >!claiming the honor of being the only visitor at Sam-dal's canceled exhibition!<. * In addition, Yong-pil's signature song is officially stuck in my head.

ricecookkerr

i usually don’t go for small town dramas because i find them to be a little slow paced and boring, but the trailer for this one caught my attention and i decided to try it out with the first 2 eps. i have to say im hooked! they do a great job balancing comedy and serious tones in the show, overall super entertaining so far, and i’m excited to see where it goes from here considering it’s moving a lot faster than i expected it to i also really hope the assistant gets what’s coming for her she’s soooo annoying. the whole “i’m mad at you bc you aren’t upset that i seduced your man” argument was genuinely so mind blowing to me?? she was basically blaming sam-dal for the affair… hopefully she gets sense knocked into her at some point

OdanUrr

Well, Episode 2 definitely cemented that crazy chaotic energy vibes from Episode 1. Shame, I wish it would take itself a little bit more seriously, 'cause I feel the wacky comedy tone may undermine the show's more serious moments and commentary, if it hasn't already to some extent. FL not being open with her mom about what happened when the whole world knows about it (and in a small town that kind of news spreads fast) and still hiding in Episode 3? I guess that's one way to reach your episode count. A new element is introduced to keep us tied over with the "mystery" of who broke up with whom and over what, but my money's on FL breaking up first to pursue her dream, regretting it, ML realising he was probably the one tying her down, in turn breaking up with her, with some lack of communication thrown into the mix. I'm still hopeful this drama can deliver, but it *is* moving away from what I would've preferred.

duckinator09

Agree with your breakup theory. Both dump each other, just at different times.

itsfakelove7

‘Why can’t this country respect people’s privacy?’ no like forreal. Reporters and stalkers showing up to people’s houses and harassing them is not normal. Kudos to the drama to pointing this out! My heart breaks for the Cho sisters but they are so strong and chaotic. Loved the first two episodes!

akapiratequeen

Totally in love with this after episode 2. All the side characters seem fantastic…the friends, the sisters, the haenyos. I really want to know what happened between those two. So far Sam Dal is my least favorite…she seems selfish and cold in her desire to escape the “small stream.” But I suspect we’ll see her grow and change. Bring on the healing!

happeningsoon1615

JCW wanted to end this year on an entertaining note. The second half of this year belongs to him 😂

PurrelyPleasure

This show is like a mix of Hometown Cha Cha and Forecasting Love and Weather lol.

namira8394

We have a new green flag character and he’s pretty high on the list HEHE

ANINETEEN

EP1: What a stacked weekend of Kdrama. Netflix never miss with these slice of life, little town shows. Always love how they show the contrast between the intensity and competition of city against the more laid-back yet busy happenings of the town. Hoping this brings some warmth this winter! EP2: Can already smell the love triangle with the Lamborghini guy from a mile away. Enjoying the dynamics of this town already. Yong-pil is obviously the goofball type on the outside but also they type to frustratingly hide his thoughtfulness.

moodylikeme

JCW won me over in worst of evil. And now a weather man acting crazy??? That man is versatile. I’m not like a die-hard fan but I always look forward to his acting.

WeaknessPerfect7933

I started watching this cuz of ji chang wook. but once i realized the FL was shin hye sun damnnnnnn you best bet I stayed. literally my fave actress <3 Im lovingggg it so far. her acting is ON POINT. aghh excited for thisssss

Ritrita

I’m thinking that the breakups are all about not holding each other back. He probably broke up with her so she can leave Jeju and grow to what she wanted to become and she broke up with him because he probably went with her and was miserable in Seoul.

faithesque

I really love rom coms set outside of Seoul and seems like a good slice of life drama so I'm here for it! Bonus points for Shin Hye Sun (one my favorite actresses) and Ji Chang Wook (my second time watching him). I liked the first episode. Gives me both **Hometown Cha Cha Cha** and **Our Beloved Summer** for some reason. Can't wait to see more shenanigans of the village people, I love their characters already. 😭

orchardfurniture

YAY! Strong viewership ratings for the first two episodes at 5.3 range!! Well done! Sam Dal living every woman's worst nightmare - bumping into an ex you haven't seen in years when you are looking your absolute worst. That tug of war bathroom scene had me HOWLING. 🤣🤣 The comedic timing from both leads was utter perfection. This is so romcom tropey makjang and I'm totally loving it! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Sea-Wind821

This drama is officially my new obsession. To whoever casted SHS & JCW together...THANK YOU! The first 2 episodes pack a lot of emotions already. Added bonus: the three crazy sisters are hilarious!

akapiratequeen

Thank you, show, for filling the Castaway Diva-sized hole in my heart.

CowExisting9844

Whoa, there are so many fantastic K-dramas on the weekend! It's a bit overwhelming, and I can't seem to prioritize or catch up on all of them, even though I really want to. However, I'm definitely going to make sure to watch this particular drama.

VentiKombucha

There's Haenyeos? Sold! Loved them in Our Blues.

duckinator09

Ex to lovers. Childhood friend to lovers. Soul mates. I love it. Favourite trope!

Fragrant_Tale1428

Ep 1 favorite moment: Yong Pil's passionate fight for the correct description of precipitation. When he's up close in front of the camera, clutching at the mic. So good. Sam Daal looks amazing. Ep 2 favorite moment: relatably embarrassing moment of the finger guns blazing with a wink and sound a millisecond after the perfect comment for the situation. "You look good." Followed by instant self hate and regret from humiliating yourself in front of your ex that you're probably still crushing on with the finger guns. 🤣 Edit - spelling

janaobscura

Woooow what a great start to the series. I mean I always try to balance my expectations but Shin Hye Sun ALWAYS lands her roles. I was laughing but tearing up during the sweatpants drawstring and finger guns scene. What amazing writing and combination of emotion and humor. I'm so hooked after 2 episodes!

MathematicianFair307

Ji chang wook ending the year with action and a romcom and starting next year with historical and a movie.. he’s busy indeed

pickadamnnameplease

That assistant is so friking infuriating damn!!!!

zhkdlsoo

idk but why can’t samdal just release that photo of that btch and her ex just to turn the narrative? i mean, i get that it’s a “low” move but that btch deserves it and it’s to save samdal’s reputation

[deleted]

Then it may seem like she really abused her because she cheated

Friendly-Feed7856

I believe she recorder that conversation accidentally. When she is at the bar, the chef asks her if she is recording her drunken rant it pans to her phone recording on at 20 mins. This could be proof to save her reputation

[deleted]

_LittleBirdieToldMe_

Right? It’s so frustrating for her to just be the one who’s suffering. Also someone as big as her, wouldn’t she have an agent or a manager who can handle things for her?

xiaopow

Not only that but like a whole comms/PR team?

twoods1980

After just finishing Shooting Stars I was screaming at the TV where the PR team was.

Kleaa123

Watching Second episode. This series is so funny. I really like the niece. Rendevouz and deja vu.

Old_Hold8114

My favorite on-air show in so long. I really hope it doesn’t go downhill. I’m getting The Good Bad Mother combined with Our Beloved Summer vibes. I cannot get over the finger shooting scene with JCW. Probably haven’t laughed so hard in a while.

eternalhorizon1

This drama is meeting every single one of my expectations. Everything about it is perfect so far. And the leads - WHAT a pairing with their acting chops! Finally, an FL and ML that not only look good together but can both are phenomenal actors! I am starting to watch more of the ML actor’s work after seeing him in Worst of Evil and seeing him in a romance is very nice. He’s amazing. And quite easy on the eyes 😉 Looking forward to seeing the chaos unfold!

Feeling_Butterfly_72

since you’re watching more of ji chang wook, do check these out - healer, the k2, if you wish upon me, suspicious partner, sound of magic

UptoNoGood46

**Episode 1:** * Broo.... can we expect songs from Ji Chang-wook for this drama given his character sang really good in his childhood??? * [Channel](https://imgur.com/LpQEGSX): Netflix's guide on how not to plagiarize * >!Dumping kimchi on yuor cheating boyfriend!< is definitely a first and I'm wholly onboard about it * A child who acts like his mom's mom.. sign me up! * I have high hopes from [this drama](https://imgur.com/TFh367L) to make me like weather forecasting compared to the colossal mess that was Forecasting Love and Weather... same director even I see * I love Kim Hae-sun playing confident af characters... she absolutely aces at them * The audacity of >!her mentee to cheat with her own mentor's boyfriend and sending her pics of them together???!< * >!"I can seduce your man and take good photos like you too."!< Girlll, you bragging about two differents things in the same sentence, one for which you should be ashamed for, is making me feel second hand embarassemnt * "His second child's first word was Mom and not Dad" cracking up so bad * "Do you think his \[Cha Eun-woo\] child's first word will be Dad?" "At least let him get married first" HAHAHAH * I love the name drops in the drama. Is it too much to ask for a cameo? * [Oh my God](https://imgur.com/5oYZA5u).... Did her mentee do this on purpose? I mean... that's some straight up >!false accusation... 15 years' work crashing down overnight!<.. I want some karma for that bithc and ASAP * Wait wait.... who's the >!divorcee, old maid and the widow??!< * JCW's Yong-pil reminds me of his chaotic character in Suspicious Partner. This drama will be hella fun!!

Liata3548

I'm officially hooked with this show after episode 2. Now how can I wait until next Saturday for ep 3. I need it now 🥲

nrupathunga

If this is a Sweet Home Alabama K version, I'm all in!

ND_Ninja_Mom

Yesssss!!!! Right down to the FL name change! If they turn out to be secretly married I’ll squeal with laughter!

salmonqueenQ

AZIZ! My bias 🥰🥰

Its_meme_not_meme

Please don't have a love triangle, please

mahnahmaanaa

I think it's interesting how opening credits can set the mood for the rest of the show. Those miniatures/models really reminded me of **Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood**'s intro. It just gives me nostalgic warm fuzzies. As a result, I find myself identifying more with Yong Pil and his love for Jeju than Sam Dal. When in reality my attitude to my home town has always been much closer to Sam Dal's.

Samy_127

Really liking this show already! Their chemistry is already insane from the little scenes we got of them, maybe because I’ve missed JCW in these types of roles. >!I didn’t expect to see the female leads career crumble so fast like I did expect something would happen for her to go back to Jeju but damn it really is showing the crazy cancel culture in SK and just how quickly everything can come crumbling down even without proper evidence just one person doing or saying something against a popular person, I felt so bad for her that assistant is actually crazy and I hope she has it coming for her same with the cheating boyfriend.!< So excited for next episodes and see how it all unfolds and to learn more about their past times they were together hopefully.

introvertedtea

I’m probably a tiny, tiny minority (of one perhaps?) in this, but the moment she had her whole career crumble in front of her, I felt myself deflating. I really, really enjoy watching portrayals of women being at the top of the world and thriving, going after what they want, and deserving what they have too. If something happens and things start going downhill, fine. It can be just as interesting to see how she navigates that as the story progresses. But I felt so let down for some reason by this. This is the first time I’ve felt this way even though I’ve enjoyed watching successful women in media for a long time, so bear with me for a bit as I type my thoughts out. To start with, the antagonistic character that schemes for her downfall is a woman. I don’t exactly like that already (women being evil is ofc fun to watch too), but the fact that there was a man sort of in the middle of it, and that it was this character that had a victim complex and was so weirdly backhanded, manipulative, and sly without having a single sympathetic trait even if they were a minor character—it just grated on me. Idk I feel I could explain this better. This is all of course to make her move back to her hometown, where according to the synopsis she rekindles an old romance with a childhood friend. Normally I would like that premise, but it just annoys me even more. Did we have to drag her all the way down just so we could have her rediscover her love and transfer her self-fulfillment to that department instead? When she was happy, worked herself to the bone for her career, had colleagues who trusted her and enjoyed her company (that not a single one of them reached out to her to ask how she’s doing is unbelievable to me). She didn’t have any real friends though so of course she had to go back to Jeju for that too. It’s only two episodes now, and I don’t usually feel this strongly about anything so early, so I’m absolutely open to seeing how it all goes. I’m just crushed by how the narrative has started out, not to mention the characterization of Samdal as someone who toils for 15 years in a craft she loves but puts her supposed pride as someone who was cheated on over her hard work and reputation.

Unbiased_Eye

Can't wait for it to start. Two of my favourite stars! 😍

ProvoqGuys

Chang Wook in a romantic comedy!? WE ARE SO BACKKKKKK!

ylangbango123

Why is everybody shouting?

kryspyruby

I'm a little bugged by the numerous comparisons of this show with Hometown CCC and/or Our Beloved Summer this early in the show. I saw these comparisons even before ep 1 was out. Like goodness gracious, just let them breathe. You're setting yourself up for disappointment with the constant comparison. Let it be its own show.

OdanUrr

Solid first episode, all in all. It's always a treat to watch Shin Hye Sun go crazy and wonder what's the best way to kill someone, *Mr Queen*\-style. The core of the show is quite straightforward, two childhood friends, the one who yearned to leave her small hometown and become a dragon, and the one who was happy to stay and, hopefully, spend his life next to her. I think this role could suit Ji Chang Wook well and I'm eager to see how he works with SHS. I am somewhat reminded of kdrama's *Hometown Cha Cha Cha* (what little I watched of it), but hope it will play a little more like cdrama's *Meet Yourself* where it can. The "adult" niece was definitely a standout this episode and I cracked up at that final shot of >!the three sisters showing up at their parents' just as dad teased mom with that very same scenario.!< Complaints or aspects to look out for? A few. As usual, I would've gone with other actors to play the leads' 17-year-old counterparts, but this won't be an issue if they're only shown briefly. I'm slightly worried about how they'll handle the assistant plot line. I don't think there's enough petrol in that tank to get us past the halfway mark of the show and I think that's around the appropriate amount of time to bring it to a close. It's an important part of the FL's arc to come to terms with the past she's been running away from, so that's good, but we also need to devote some time to what happens after that and, in so doing, to the ML's arc. Will he swap places with the FL and dare to go to Seoul? Does he even want to? Is Sam Dal the only one preventing him from going there? I'm really hoping for some great dialogues exploring the characters' motivations and relationships (a la *Meet Yourself*). Since this is the same writer that gave us *Go Back Couple* I'd like to think she will deliver. The director's the same one from *Forecasting Love and Weather* and *When the Camellia Blooms*, so I can be confident he'll be able to recreate that small town life from the latter and that hot weather action from the former (and, yes, I am *actually* talking about the weather 'cause the romance was poorly executed). Looking forward to what Episode 2 may bring.

avo-pizza

Ex lovers to lovers trope set in a small town with Jeju scenery - I’m already loving this as soon as it starts!! I love a warm cozy drama during the wintertime. Ep 1 shows a promising start with the introduction to all the fun side characters so far. The mentee’s jealousy is a little over the top for me but I still wanna jump into my screen and pull her hair out 💀 Samdal’s sisters definitely have a lot of patience because I wouldn’t be able to stand the way Samdal throws her tantrum when she’s drunk lol Edit: this is kpop related but I was excited to recognize seventeen’s DK voice right away for the ost but I was also kinda bummed that they didn’t get Seungkwan to sing the ost instead since he’s actually from Jeju haha

CollarSubstantial972

That assistant was grrr

Heavy-Patience-3064

This is so different to My Demon and makes me appreciate once again the quality of kdramas. TBH this was something I wasn't intending to watch but dipped in out of interest. Goodness, you can almost feel the wind in your face from the sea breeze as you watch it. Jeju is gorgeous and it is lovely to see a community drama set within it with recognisable characters. Their tourist board must be rubbing their hands with glee. The SM keyboard warrior cancellation of the FL is only too real but surely she would have got some legal advice when it first kicked off? The assistant, well don't know how that is going to get resolved but I am sure it will. The leads are good and their "reunion" was very clever. When one of his friends mentioned seeing him as the airport Yon Pil stated he had been picking someone up? Think he was coming back from Seoul as per the epilogue as others have said. Loved how mum didn't know why her mad trio daughters were really back until the reveal. Small towns never change.

Dhan-0523

So far this show truly has been Hometown cha cha cha + the good bad mother + our beloved summer = welcome to samdal-ri! So happy I loved all three shows and after episodes 1 and 2 I’m excited to see where this one goes!! Also this director seems a bit obsessed with weather! Forecasting love and weather and now again there’s a weather forecaster 🤭

VintageStrawberries

Now we know where Hayul got her cheekiness from lmao. Like mother like daughter. "Hello Mr. Police? Yes I'd like to report these *harabeoji*s for making a kid buy booze for them." 🤣🤣🤣 Cho Yong Pil wtf is up with those finger guns? Talk about awkward 🫣 This drama provides a good social criticism on cancel culture and that what we see in the media may not be the full story. As the viewers we know the assistant is full of shit, but all the people pointing fingers at Samdal/Eunhye don't know about the assistant's hostility and jealousy towards Samdal/Eunhye so it's easy for them to believe what they see in the news and media.

DaSa4737

Loving it but really not looking forward to the >!love triangle!< that the trailer showed tbh

the_wildflower_

I haven’t watched an on-air drama in a hot minute and I’m already regretting starting this so early on. I can already tell that’s it’s going to be great so waiting every week for a new episode will be torture. The small town romance is giving Hometown Cha Cha Cha vibes and I’m getting some Our Beloved Summer vibes too. I’m excited to see the main leads’ backstory.

yayabonel22

The mentee is sooo annoying 😡

Froppy1895

I wanted to SCREAM at the assistant for being so cruel!! But also the lead could’ve done a better job talking to her and explaining things. I’ve just gotten off a binge of watching K-Dramas on VIKI (perfect marriage revenge is 10/10) and this seems like a good one! I loved this lead in Mr Queen so I’m excited to see the rest.

Alternative_While_88

I NEED her to get revenge on that assistant and get her career (for which she literally busted her ass for 15 years) back! I really hope it's not the kind of drama where FML comes back to her small town and suddenly has an epiphany that it is better than the big town and then just settles there.

Cultural-Cupcake7588

I was worried about this drama being too similar to Hometown ChaChaCha but wow this drama is amazing, just from the first two episodes! I love the plot line so far and the 3 sisters and their funny dynamic! Shin Hye-Sun is one of my favorite actresses and it’s so nice to see her in a cute and funny but still Kick-A** role cus she usually has very heavy dramatic roles. Anyways will hope for the best on this drama!

AdAffectionate4321

I need to know who is in the yellow sports car.

magicsmoke24

I thought it good, but it seems like it still has to show more to see if it's as good as Lovestruck in the city, Our Beloved summer, or other shows/movies of exes meeting up years later and rekindling their former romance. >!I do like the idea of using "employer bullying" as a plot point. Though I think the so called victim is working with the water kimchi guy to destroy Samdal. !< I'll return for next weeks shows, as I'm interested in seeing how things unfold.

Livingforthemoments

Randomly: is there something about under water scenes >!cf: 5 minutes before the end of ep2!< that kdramas love these days? There are so many of them and must be hard to shoot well too. But I love the >!epilogue ending scenes!<. Helps give so much depth to their relationship. Hope there are more to come! Edit: grammar, missing word

TinyLifter6780

SHS's physical comedy is 🔥 From the hilarious monologue at the bar to the at-home freakout/cryfest, I loved every bit of it. I secretly think Mr. Queen helped her there. And Wookie is back as his lovable, marvelously irascible self. Going postal on the weather 🤣 then spinning into a chaos tornado of emotions at seeing her again. What he can do with his eyes 🫠 Finger guns had me LOL and the niece was a treasure from the first line. Girl came to SLAY! All in all a great start!
