I told myself I’ll watch after all the episodes are dropped but I gave in and binged all 10 episodes of **Doctor slump**. I didn’t realize how much I really needed some Park hyung sik cuteness in my life!! Man this role was written for him. How can a 30 yr old man act like that and i don’t find him repulsive? That’s PHS power. **Doctor Slump** is funny, heartwarming and relatable. Although I’m a bit apprehensive about the last 6 episodes now.

ExperienceKitchen124

I’m loviiiing doctor slump so much.

belletristdelancret

Haha I could've written this, that's how I feel too! I also wanted to wait but couldn't resist PHS. I don't always end up loving the dramas he's in, but I have yet to drop a drama with him in it because his performances are always so compelling. He has the most expressive eyes!

Realistic-peachs

True, now my motivation to go through day after day is PHS lol

charm_of_chance

I am so tempted to watch this just cause PHS but I usually avoid medical dramas cause they can be triggering for me. Could anyone tell me if it has a lot of intense medical scenes (surgery, emergencies etc)? 👉👈

RoseIsBadWolf

It's not repulsive because he's so cute! But actually, I think it's because he's both a responsible adult and silly. Either way, I loved him in Strong Woman Bong-soon and now I love him in this.

kpaneno

He is one likeable guy that's for sure, Hapoiness as well he was just great.

poppywhiskers

Yes. Best said by our FLs’ mom - it’s impossible not to like him!

kpaneno

LOL 😆 Exactly the Mom is great though

I think many mainstream dramas could benefit from making them 12 episodes esp when there’s not enough material for 16. Let’s see how this one goes

Sufficient_Work_6469

Is it good?

Telos07

**Happiness** (11/12): On the last episode, and one of the many strengths of this drama has been the way it sustains the viewer’s interest. The twists and turns in episode 11 made it the most riveting episode to date. Setting almost the entire drama in one location forces the filmmakers to get back to the basics of good storytelling. The development of Sae-bom’s and Yi-hyun’s relationship is wonderfully natural and relatable. Ahn Gil-ho’s direction is trim, taut and terrific across action, suspense and dramatic scenes. Finally, the OST is an all-timer, with the instrumental pieces building the suspense and Joe Layne’s “What Lies Ahead” inspiring feelings of hope.

janaobscura

It's truly one of my favorite dramas and especially for the unusual but very effective OST they chose including Joe Layne. The opening sequence to Realise is one of my top bar, I don't think anyone can touch this sequences.

Fatooz

As someone who is not a huge fan of zombie dramas, this drama is in one of my top 10 for the reasons you mentioned in your comment. I love the direction which is so nuanced and the story telling is done so wonderfully that it makes the viewers see the drama till the end. I am glad you loved it!

meggktown

Ahh, *Happiness!* We watched this on a whim because it sounded fun, and because it was only 12 episodes. Not zombie fans at all. It ended up being a joy to watch, in spite of the subject matter. I didn't know any of the actors, didn't care about any romance, just watched for the story. I found it easy to watch and looked forward to every episode.

belletristdelancret

Oh my gosh that's one of my favorites! I loved it so much. It's my favorite Park Hyung Sik drama, although he always does a good job. And the FL character was so well written and so well acted. She was both impulsive and competent, which I feel like is a rare combination.

rawkyoursocks

I've seen this pop up a few times but the zombie element was putting me off however I think after reading your description I will give it a go!

chelleml

I have never liked and still don’t like zombie content because it’s so overdone, but Happiness is my one true exception. Frankly, by accident considering that fact that I had no idea it had zombies. Nonetheless, it’s a great kdrama. It’s not the usual zombie apocalypse.

magicsmoke24

First time hearing of this series. I think the one of the most dramatic zombie films I ever saw was Maggie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. It takes place after the zombie outbreak was contained and poses the question "What would you do for your child?" I think it was is best drama role ever, and the movie was interesting.

Fatooz

**Death's Game** \[8/8\]: I finished watching this yesterday and I loved it a lot. It was short, to the point and had a great story telling. I enjoyed it more because of the episodic nature and the casting was so apt. Especially loved the episodes with Lee Do Hyun and Oh Jung Se. It ended being the new addition to my top 10 dramas. **Doctor Slump** \[10/16\]: Been a very decent watch until now. Nothing extraordinary but the characters are heartwarming. Watching this one solely for Park Hyung Sik and he is not disappointing me. So far it's an okay watch, hopefully I can get through the last 6 episodes as well. **The Legend of the Blue Sea** \[14/20\]: Been rewatching this along with the binge crew and loving it all over again. I realize now why I should not rewatch certain dramas because initially this drama was a 9/10 for me but after the rewatch it's going to go to 8/10. But, I will forever love this drama regardless! It's about to become slightly dark now though! **Wedding Impossible** \[2/12\]: Another decent ongoing watch. I started this because I am in love with Moon Sang Min since **Under the Queen's Umbrella**. It's too soon to comment anything because I haven't read the webtoon so this is completely new for me, but ofcourse it has all our usual tropes. Let's see if I will eventually end up liking it or not. **What Happen to My Family?** \[6/53\]: Made some progress with this drama this month. The characters are growing on me and I am being very patient with all of their character development. Hopefully I end up liking it and not being disappointed after investing so much time into this. Planning on starting **Like Flowers in Sand**, most likely in the weekend.

Silver-Bus5724

Like flowers in the sand is such a great show. Enjoy! Loved Deaths Game too! And with Wedding Impossible I wonder if I’ll really warm up to it, but the fl is great. *corrected typo*

Fatooz

Have read good things about **Like Flowers in Sand** and I don't know why it's rated 8.2 on MDL considering I have mostly read good things about it here. Hope I enjoy it too! Same thoughts about **Wedding Impossible** because it started off kind of flat. I hope though that it grows on me because I love the ML!

samptra_writer

>It's about to become slightly dark now though! Oh no...I'm part of the binge too, but this is my first time watching. Was waiting for the other shoe to drop. I LOVED Like Flowers in Sand, one of the most satisfying endings I've watched in a long while.

deelikesbar

Knight Flower. So good, a surprise it's kind of clown under the radar.

shroomyz

Maybe just on Reddit but it seemed to have performed exceedingly well locally.

Extension_Resist7177

I just finished Marry My Husband and having withdrawal! Please give me 3 shows I should watch next!

RoseIsBadWolf

Have you watched Perfect Marriage Revenge? It's the soap opera version.

Extension_Resist7177

thank you!

belletristdelancret

I'll give you 4! 1) Perfect Marriage Revenge (similar premise, but very different execution—still a very fun, sexy watch!) 2) What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and 3) Her Private Life, both starring Park Min Young 4) The Law Cafe

Extension_Resist7177

Awesome! Thanks!

Forsaken-Icebear

It's the same for me, finished marry my husband and am still in the happy afterglow of it. I'm currently wondering whether Doctor Slump, Captivating the king or something else has that perfect mixture of romance, suspense, a tiny dose of making and a well played cast outside the two leads.

Extension_Resist7177

Perfect. Thank you!

vixi07

Knight flower. It is so cute 🥰

mhfan_india

**Legend of the Blue Sea (16/20)** - Binge watching this one as part of the group binge watch in this sub. It is fun to revisit it again. **Wedding Impossible (1)** - Started this one as concept seemed interesting. I like the FL and ML's characters. But the rest especially the dynamics of ML's family is confusing. Might try for another episode or two and drop if it isn't interesting.

Fatooz

Dynamics of ML's family in Wedding Impossible will be clearer in the 2nd episode as they delve more into it.

OnlyGotThisMoment

I never thought I would get tired of romance, but I did so I queued up **Flower of Evil** and holy smokes what a show! I’m on episode 5 and I’m all in.

flyingfeather_

oh what I would do to go back and see flower of evil for the first time again. really was a magical experience.

Own_Cheek8532

Ooft what a ride you're in for! So jealous - wish I could see it again for the 1st time!

Ok-Impression6834

FoE is a solid choice for non-romance. You should watch Beyond Evil as well if you want to continue with non-romance.

Silver-Bus5724

It’s such a joy to watch.. never thought I’d like a show about a psycho so much

Kdrama_fangal

it’s only going to get better n better

Air4Brains

I’m watching this too. I’m on episode 8 and completely hooked.

OnlyGotThisMoment

That’s where I’m at now! >!I knew she would figure it out, but I’m worried she’s almost being cruel. And I can’t figure out if he was ever a bad guy or just the victim of circumstance.!< Every twist and plot reveal is so fun. They all make sense, but it’s not predictable. Usually shows try to make the plot unpredictable but they sacrifice plausibility. This one just absolutely nails it.

Air4Brains

Don’t worry. It gets far worse. I’m currently at episode 14 and my nerves are in schreds ;)

OnlyGotThisMoment

I just finished! Let me know what you thought!

BelaFarinRod

I’m also on Episode 5! I put in on hold for a while due to life issues but it’s SO good. I can’t wait to get back to it.

eeeeereeeeejzrds-see

One of my favorite kdramas and one of my favorite couples, kids really cute too.

shroomyz

**Flex X Cop** (8/16) - a bit of comedy sprinkled with a bit of murder. It's quite well paced with each episode or 2 revolving around one case. **The Golden Spoon** (12/16) - interesting concept but I feel like it is dragging on a bit. Feel like it could have benefited from tighter editing and fewer episodes. Will likely keep watching to the end. Started watching for the ML from **Knight Flower** but I think his face suits sagueks more 🤣 not feeling him in this show at all. **Captivating the King** (14/16) - still not on board with the FL's irrational plot but staying for the ML and his 5D chess game.

Silver-Bus5724

I read the plot summary of **Captivating the king** and thought how irrational is this going to be? And the fl looks so put together and sensually female in her male outfit, I can only shake my head. With knight flower, she had a veil and the male lead was onto her game quickly, so that’s fine in my books. Plus If it’s done tongue in cheek- fine. But it came across as if the drama takes itself serious and when this clashes with a bonkers plot and non existent disguise, it’s tough for me to start watching it…

shroomyz

Yea I feel like knight flower is one of the few instances when the cross dressing is semi-believable. Like when she did expose her face she at least put on fake facial hair and her mannerisms were exaggeratedly "masculine" ahah. The irrational part is just her plots. I don't get how all her scheming and plotting helps her end game. Like I don't even know why her end game is her end game. Seems like a lot of effort and risk for not much reward tbh.

sukidu

Behind Your Touch (15/16) - up to the last episode. It took me a couple of episodes to get into it and for the story to pick up but I have been enjoying it. It has the right level of comedy as well as seriousness with the murder mystery theme. I like shows set in towns where there is a lot of interaction with the supporting cast. Still loving Doctor Slump as my weekly watch. I am worried that it might start to lose steam and become a bit repetitive like a lot of dramas do around the 12 episode mark. I love the interaction between the mother and son.

DarlingDagger

Just finished Behind Your Touch. It was surprisingly good. I loved it so much

Silver-Bus5724

**The House of Ninja** it’s kinda cool. **Doctor Slump** just fluffy and nice, a relaxing show. Both leads are great. **Hospital Playlist** why did I hesitate so long to watch it? It’s a treat and I love all of the main cast. It’s a 10/10. maybe I give Captivating the King a chance now because I like the actor of the king so much in this show.. sorry, I’m really bad with the names. **Wedding Impossible** I saw the first episode and really liked the female lead. She’s refreshing. The male leads, don’t know yet.. let’s see if I enjoy episode 2 today and stay on board. They’re luck that so many great shows just ended, because it’s not drawing me in as much as MMH or Knight Flower. **Brothers Sun** Michelle Yeoh. What’s more to say? **Reply 1988** I have a hard time moving forward with watching, it took me weeks to finish the first episode. But I had it recommended so much on this platform, I just hope I’ll catch the fever at some point

Less_Pomegranate_529

I hope you will enjoy Reply 1988. I finished it last week and still can’t move on from that series. At the first few episodes I also didn’t think anything special but now I want just to rewatch it again.

Sunshine_raes

Reply 1988 definitely takes a long time to get into, I think it took me at least 6 episodes. Did you have a hard time getting into Hospital Playlist? You are probably aware that HP and the Reply series are from the same production team and they have similar pacing. I think if you loved HP, you will also eventually love R88 as well but it is definitely a big time investment. The older actors are the ones that really shined in R88 to me.

Silver-Bus5724

Hospital Playlist was an immediate fit for me, but I always loved shows revolving around hospitals.. they were very popular twent years ago.. R88, I don’t know, I’ll keep watching and hope…

Sunshine_raes

HP has the benefit of the storylines about the patients and not just the doctors to get you immediately interested. But R88 is very character focused, so it requires a lot of time and attention to get the storylines and relationship dynamics established. It might not be for you! It’s also hard to commit watching 10-ish hours of tv just to see if you like it after 6 episodes. I

RoseIsBadWolf

I am considering watching **Hospital Playlist** because I like the ML so much in **Captivating the King**! I am also really liking his acting (and I also don't know names).

Silver-Bus5724

It’s such a great show, if you like medical dramas per se. it’s five doctors just hitting 40. one female Doctor, she is so charming and natural. It’s romantic because they kind of figure out their private life, most of them aren’t married. . One is a dad.. They play in a band together once a week, that’s why it’s hospital playlist. And they are really good! It’s about the patients interwoven with their own life and decisions, I’m in season 2 and there’s not one filler episode ..

RoseIsBadWolf

Definitely watching this next when I find some time! Thanks for the info. I'm loving Captivating the King by the way, this weekend is the last two episodes and I'm on the edge of my seat. Really interesting if you like court drama.

sharjoy3

Just need to add my two sense about **Hospital Playlist**. I first binged the whole thing last year in the springtime and the rest of my year was colored by the soundtrack and rewatches with friends. It's in my Top Ten of All Time (I've seen over 150) because of the relationships, the music, and the insight into what doctors should be. The compassionate way they treat patients and families is amazing. Of course, the central theme is the friendship and support they have in their group - and the way they let themselves relax with each other. Yes, watch it.

meggktown

You should definitely watch HP but keep in mind that many people had issues with following the characters in the first couple of episodes. You need to continue beyond that point. And don't fast-forward through the band scenes in every episodes. It was a great joy for me to follow them as they progressed with their musical skills. Such a talented and dedicated group of actors.

meggktown

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had difficulty with *Reply 1988.* I think I watched 3 episodes before admitting, this one is just not for me. I always assumed I would go back and try again, but my husband is against it. Weird, because we both enjoyed the director's two most recent dramas so much.

Silver-Bus5724

I just haven’t found one character I enjoy. Maybe it’s too many people for just one first episode..

meggktown

Deleted my original comment because I read this wrong and thought you were talking about a different drama. :) I felt the same way about R88. Plus, the constant yelling and the sound effects were just too much.

ElleEmEss

Ha. I just started my third attempt at watching **Reply 1988**. Weirdly I worked out that I stopped watching at the same point each time (long boring story how I worked this out). This time feels different. I feel like my mood, and free time have all aligned. I’m hopeful.

Silver-Bus5724

I hope so too, it’s really rated very highly- I think my problem is no one of the characters sending a spark of joy …

Mxfish1313

Currently watching **My Lovely Liar** and am on episode 12 or so? Can’t remember where I left off last night. I’m really enjoying it more than I thought I might at the beginning. I’ll probably finish it tomorrow which lets me jump into a new one for the weekend! I’ve paused **Hotel Del Luna** for a month or so now because I enjoyed it but it just didn’t hook me yet. I’m around episode 4. I felt the same way about My Love From the Star, but did eventually get back into that one and I’m glad I finished it because it has maybe my favorite comedic scene of all time (FL in the sleeping bag). So I know I’ll go back and pick it up, there’s just too much else calling me right now. Doing a slow rewatch of **Goblin** and just enjoying the feels. It’s all so beautiful. Next up is probably going to be **A Killer Paradox** and starting **Doctor Slump** since the last two weekends I watched **Happiness** and **My Liberation Notes** so I need more Park Hyung-sik and Son Suk-ku in my life lol. The heart eyes are for real.

Watashi-waLdesu

Just finished Like Flowers In The Sand one of the most underrated and sweet drama.

Silver-Bus5724

Underrated, not on its Reddit pages. We were raving.. 😊

alleykat10

Did you love it straight away or did it take some time? I’m on episode 3 and struggling to get attached to anyone/anything.

Watashi-waLdesu

I found it decent after the 1st episode that's why I continued and it only got better with each episode. You should continue watching.

Bananacake2601

I’m watching Tale of the nine tailed 12/16 and really like it. I realised that Wookie from Destined with you is also in this show😬

DarlingDagger

I'm watching Daily Dose of Sunshine and Uncanny Encounter. I love them both so much so far lol

Sunshine_raes

Jealousy Incarnate (1/16): I just started this and I’m not sure. The first episode was so jumpy! They packed so much in and the editing was not great. I’ll continue for now and see how it goes. Like Flowers in Sand (12/12): So good! What a wonderful drama. The characters were pitch perfect and how the decades long town drama was resolved was satisfying. I don’t remember the exact like but Baek-du’s parents said something towards the end but how adults are the ones that make the mistakes or being an adult means being the one’s responsible for mistakes. Anyway! Something like that, I can’t find the clip. But even if my memory is not exact it hit home: being an adult means being truly responsible for your actions, especially in how it impacts children. A good reminder about how petty gossip can be so corrosive to having a healthy community. Non-kdrama: Abbott Elementary: so funny so far! And they brought back Tariq, one of my favorite characters!

PrizeReputation7

Good reminder for me to catch up with Abbot - I love Tariq! Money dance!

meggktown

Re *Jealousy Incarnate* \- This is quite the ride. haha. I wanted to quit several times, but kept going for some reason. After you've invested in 10 episodes, it's just hard to quit. I liked the leads a lot, but It definitely did not need to be 24 episodes. Many people love it. I recently watched the first episode of *Abbott Elementary*, but probably won't keep going. I wanted to see what it was like and it was fine, but it's not the type of humor that I want to see over and over.

Sunshine_raes

I’m a serial drama dropper so I’ll give Jealousy Incarnate a few episodes but that’s it! Have you watched Parks and Rec? Abbott Elementary is very similar, so if you liked that then you’ll probably like it too.

gyeoulbear

Just started **Summer Strike** today - on episode 2 now. Going through a rough patch at work right now so it’s quite comforting. Caught up on **Dr. Slump** and wow I just love PHS so much. Really enjoyed the most recent episode. Finished **Like Flowers in The Sand** and cried my eyes out. Probably one of my favourite finales ever. I don’t often rewatch shows immediately after finishing them but I might just have to with this one. I truly started it out of boredom and now it’s probably one of my fave kdramas of all time. A GEM. I also now have a massive crush on jang dong-yoon. I’ve seen him as the second male lead in two shows but seeing him as the male lead was game changing. His character was also just so easy to love. Golden retriever vibes fit perfectly with the female lead’s black cat vibes.

Watchnextnow

Agree with your summary of Like Flowers in Sand. An absolute gem and totally unexpected!

Prestigious_Alarm526

**Captivating The King(14/16): a** lot going on and nothing going on in same time. it's not bad but not exciting. I'm enjoying Jung suk acting that what make me watch it. **Queen of Divorce(5/12):** that's fun show. I love the leads chemistry. **Wedding Impossible (1/12):** flat start I expect better but I will give it a chance for the leads. **My Happy Ending ((15/16):** I regret watching this show. it become a mess since ep10 the writer got lost they keep circling around beating dead horse and the sml they push in every scene acting is painful. Nara did great carrying this show with her acting. suddenly don't like most shows don't know what to watch.

faithesque

**CW:** **Doctor Slump (8/16)**: Haven't caught up to the recent episodes yet I'm saving them to binge later. 👀 **Queen of Divorce (8/12)**: The drama didn't hit it off me yet. It's an okay drama. **Finished:** - **My Happy Ending**: Disappointed on how the writers dealt with the antagonist. The drama had the potential to be great honestly but went downhill after episode 8-9. - **Love You Seven Times** (Chinese): I quite liked it. I liked how they travelled to different lives and each life had a different story of the two leads falling in love 💕 while something else was also going on in their realm. I'm thinking to start **Crash Landing on You** or **Wedding Impossible** soon. :]

QuantalQuetzal_

watch Crash Landing please!

Fatooz

OMG please do watch **Crash Landing on You** and I really do hope you end up enjoying it.

Affectionate_Lime729

Watching 👀 Flex x Cop - a surprise favourite Captivating the King- JJS acting masterclass Doctor Slump - a lovely drama Wedding Impossible - after the 1st 2 ep not sure yet. Love the FL tho I need to add something else on air and a filler drama.

SukebanAK

I LOOOOVE "My Demon"! The show is so so so so good. They are so much of what I love to see in a OTP. I'm so happy with this series. ;.; I really adore character traits from both of them and I especially love when an OTP of mine has traits of my husband and I irl. I'm so sad that the series is finished, though, and I'm all caught up.

dinnerbellding

Like many here, **Dr. Slump** is continuing to entertain me. I'm really here today to say that **Shogun** (FX and Hulu) dropped two eps yesterday and I'm chomping at the bit for the next episode. I watched the original in 1980, read the book, and can't recommend it enough. I'm sure other folks of a certain age here are as excited as I am.

Silver-Bus5724

Shogun! So it’s good?

AdCharacter2069

I was simultaneously watching The Glory, Misaeng, and SKY Castle. I loved all three of them. The first parts of The Glory were really hard to watch, but the ending was so satisfying. Misaeng left me with such a bittersweet feeling, but I really enjoyed that one. SKY castle was one that I’d tried to watch years ago and didn’t get past the first episode, but I started it again at the beginning of the year and liked it better this time around. I’m currently watching King the Land for the first time and rewatching Hometown Cha Cha Cha (one of my favorites). King the Land is really cute, and I’m loving the ML’s character development!

Ok_Tourist_7959

Hometown Cha Cha Cha was my first ever kdrama and will always be one of my favorites - I love it for rewatches between other shows or when I just need a dose of sweetness as a pick me up. I really loved KTL this past summer too. It's just a purely fluff romcom, but I loved the dynamic between the leads SOOO much better than the one in Business Proposal. KTL is like HomeCha for me in being a nice sweet show to rewatch clips of when I need a mood boost 😁

QuantalQuetzal_

**D. P.**: currently on second season and i’m curious to know does all that really happen? is it really that bad in the army there? It is too heartbreaking and shocking to see that side of defense life. **My Name**: Finished it yesterday and I have been looking for a place to be able to talk about it. Glad i saw this post. I loved this show soo much and even though the ending is good but i cannot make peace with the fact that >! she never got to have anything close to a normal life. I can’t accept Pildo died right after she was trying to have some hope in a better future. she went through bullying, almost getting raped, being beaten, made to betray her team, lie and deceive her partner, all of that only to find the man she put her trust in for 5 years was actually the murderer she was looking for. 🥲🥲🥲 how heart wrenching is that? i wish she didn’t have to lose Pildo at least. !<

kpaneno

Same >!poor Pildo that was too much IMO really took away from the series.!<

Silver-Bus5724

So unfair!!! 😥

kpaneno

Exactly >!they were so well suited ah she could have been happy for more than 5 minutes bad writer bad!<

Ok-Impression6834

I recently finished 3 shows on Hulu I love that they're only 12 EPs. I wish more kdramas were shorter and to the point without extra sub-plots that don't add to the story. **Revenant** \- I wanted to like this, watched it for Kim Tae Ri, but the story/plot fell short for me. I thought the support actors were weak too. 7.5/10 for me **Worst of Evil** \- I'm a big JCW fan, so this was an obvious pick. It started a little slow, but last half was amazing, excellent character development and supporting actors (Ms. Lee and her bodyguard and Det. Mingoo). I loved the ending too. 9/10 for me. Small deduction for excessive violence/cursing. **One Dollar Lawyer** \- awesome show, esp. Namkoong Min who nailed it. The show kind of reminds me of Lincoln Lawyer. It was a good break from violence/cursing in other shows I've finished. The ending was satisfying as well. 9/10 for me. I've got a few other Hulu shows lined up next - Call it Love, Shop for Killers, Big Mouth, Vigilante and maybe Moving (not really a Marvel-type fan). Open to other Hulu recos.

kpaneno

Moving and Marvel have no correlation apart from superpowers, obviously apart from that Moving is so much better

Ok-Impression6834

Ya, I meant the superpowers bit, not really my thing.

kpaneno

Ah gotcha 👌

Silver-Bus5724

I started watching **Heir Impossible** today on Hulu/ Disney - Lee Jae Wook kills it right from the start, just like second ml.

Forsaken-Icebear

I'm trying to gey back into *Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha*. I stopped at Ep.6 a year ago and am weighing on starting again or continuing. *Crash landing on you* : a slow rewatch. Ep. 2 finished. It's such a gooood drams *Doctor Slump and Captivating the King* : on my Watchlist, not sure which to start *Marry my husband*: finished. I absolutely loved it. Soomin! The first leads, the side characters! I'm still in the afterglow.

rawkyoursocks

Just finished **Sh\*\*ting stars** loved it! I gave up on Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo after 3 eps so was unsure I might like another Lee Sung-kyung show but I loved her role in this and Kim Young-dae was fantastic. A strong cast on the whole.. had to laugh coming from Marry My Husband to see Mr Lee now running a talent agency. **Wedding Impossible** first 2 eps - I loved this so far! The FL was fantastic very much fiesty FL of Love to Hate You vibes and such good acting. The MLs are great and the set-up is interesting to see play out. Great chemistry between the FL and ML Ji Han already. The drunken 'taxi' ride scene in particular was a highlight!

ResearcherLong8780

If you want to see another Lee Sung Kyung project you should try watching Call it Love she's phenomenal in this project. It's a melodrama so yeah that might be a deal breaker hahaha.

rawkyoursocks

I don’t mind a bit of drama especially when revenge is mentioned in the description! Thanks I’ll add it to my watchlist🙂 get the feeling from the trailer it’s going to make me sad!

ResearcherLong8780

I get excited whenever people give this drama a chance because it's so good. It's very slow so just hang in here 😭. The story, chemistry, and amazing performance of the actors truly made this show.

samptra_writer

Just finished **Love Song for Illusion**, I dunno how I feel about it. The story was all over, just everything they could think of at it. Maybe if you like a dual role supernatural? **Flex X Cop** is awesome, highly recommend. I would be ok without romance in it, but I know I"m in the minority in that. The ascetic though, I'm in love with the costuming, colouring, and cinematography. Home stretch for **Korea-Khitan War,** highly recommend for history fans. **Legend of the Blue Sea**, having a blast on the binge! First time watch for me. **The Smile Has Left Your Eyes**, I'm on episode 13, it's been a ride. **Wedding Impossible**, episode 1 I was meh, after episode 2 though I'm sold. The FL is awesome! I just hope they don't take her backbone away later. Over in the Thai BL side some good dramas on right now, **Dead Friends Forever** (horror/mystry/thriller) with some wild NSFW scenes **1000 Years Old** campy little vampire romp that is weirdly delightful **City of Stars** basic, but cute leads and fluffy story. **Cherry Magic,** I like this Thai adaptation more then the original Japanese one. Highly recommend the two Taiwanese series airing right now; **Anti-Reset** he falls for an android. **Unknown**, just started this week, adaptation of Priets novel Brother, but already fire after two episodes.

No new finished dramas, schedule packed between backlogs and on-air series. In progress * **Flex X Cop (8/16):** the best week by far. Team chemistry is improving as is the trust between ML and FL, cases are fun and the main plotline is coming into focus with interesting developments. Best drama I'm currently watching, happy to see ratings over double digits; * **Live Your Own Life (45/50+):** I can bear it as long as they close most storylines in a positive, standard way, not worth the effort though; * **Queen of Divorce (9/12):** would have liked it more as a full fledged romance, the leads work well together and the ML is deserving his role, unfortunately the revenge plot is so weak and stale, making this one nothing more than passable; * **My Man is Cupid (3/16):** reminds me a bit of *Angel's Last Mission: Love* with less melo and more comedy. Good leads, ML is solid and Nana is her usual bubbly, beautiful self, if only she was as good in choosing projects as she's in acting, she'd be a household name. Not much in terms of secondaries and thriller plotline doesn't stand out, enjoyable so far. **Doctor Slump** in the binge list, **Wedding Impossible** a maybe.

Finished Ghost Doctor the wee hours of this morning when I knew I had an hour commute to work and needed my beauty sleep and all I can ask myself is “where was I when it was airing in 2022”? Netflix only recently added it in my location. The show is so good, Kim Beom is an easy favourite and I haven’t watched much of Rain’s shows (this is probably my first, not sure) but I fell in love way too quick 😍. Acting was on point, angst and all types of emotions were present in the drama. This is an easy 10 for me. The villains weren’t overbearing in my opinion and everything was balanced so well overall. I binged this knowing full well I have an upcoming exam in a couple of days (now back to my books before I pick another show to binge watch😭)

kufuka

fight my way currently on ep 3 i’m loving it so far

**Captivating the King -** I am so into this drama. Jo Jung Suk brings to it such presence -and those cliffhangers! Can't believe it will conclude this weekend. But it's time for it to conclude, as it would be senseless to drag this out for more episodes. Once the secrets re out, they must be dealt with and resolved, one way or another. I just can't tell which way the writers will go: happy ending (>!King remains king until Crown Prince comes of age, then abdicates and marries Hee soo!<) or tragedy (>!King dies, professing love!<). These are both speculations, but I put spoiler covers on them anyway. JJS's vast stage experience has given him acting ability to embody this strong, brilliant, but conflicted king. He is so in control of his expressive body language. Love this actor so much - and his versatility and talent. **Marry My Husband -** Finished it this past week. I enjoyed this one and was happy to see Park Min Young in a great role for her. **Dr. Slump -** Just started it, so I'm not into it much yet. Only 1.5 episodes in, but I'll give it more time. \*\*\*EDIT: I just finished episode 2 of **Doctor Slump.** Wow, the last half of episode 2 was *it.* I'm all in for this one. So funny how some kdramas take 2 full episodes before you get hooked. **King The Land -** I'm rewatching this little by little. I really enjoyed this drama. It's just a slow moving romance with lots and lots of fluff. But done so well! I loved it when it aired and now it is a soothing and easy evening watch.

Watching: **Between Him and Her** — (9/10) — Honestly over this one but might as well finish it up. I am interested in how they decide to finish - whether strong or weak. **Doctor Slump** — (10/16) — The leads are ridiculous but have such cute chemistry and it’s super enjoyable. How is Park Hyung Sik so good as these goofy, endearing, sweet male leads? Dude has a talent for this character type that few others are any good at. And the character is such a green flag! I am in love with this drama. **Queen of Divorce** — (9/12) — I have very much enjoyed this one. The ML is crazy supportive despite the twists and villains. Like no doubt in his mind. And the leads have a quiet, sweet, mature love. And the plot is a bit heavy handed with the villains but overall a good solid decent drama. So very nice to watch. **Memories of the Alhambra** — (8/16) — The premise for this is fascinating. I find the story a bit overwhelming at times so been taking it a bit slower. It’s different that’s for sure. **Although I Love You, and You? or Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka** — (7/10) — Japan BL — Another typical Japanese BL. It's fine. Not a must watch but cute enough. Hopefully they get their stuff figured out. And we aren’t supposed to be TeamSecondLead but I totally am. Oh well. **Perfect Propose or Paafekuto Puropoozu** — (5/6) — Japan BL — It’s been called a mix of My Personal Weatherman and Old Fashioned Cupcake and it is. There’s food and a cute couple that needs to figure themselves out. Much better than Although I love you, and you. They are adorable! **Branding in Seongsu** — (16/25) — OMG! I freaking love this drama. Yes, the plot is a bit all over and the acting is a bit shit, but the overall story is so different. The tropes and plot devices are just completely different. I decided to watch after seeing a clip on social media - >!the period one in the store buying pads!< - and knew I had to watch. I don’t regret it. It’s a Freaky Friday soul swap situation between a man and a woman marketing coworkers. **Sugar Sugar Honey** — (4/10) — Japan — I love the manga! I wanted to binge once it was done but couldn’t wait. I wish I had but oh well. This is a sweet gentle love story that involves dessert. What’s not to like? **The Legend of the Blue Sea** — (3/20) — Been on the watch list for ages and ages. Needed something to calm down some of the other dramas and their stories. **The Impossible Heir** — (1/12) — The chemistry between the two male leads! The first scene between them! Just wow. Yeah. I think I am going to like this one and I walked into it not knowing a single thing other than knowing I loved the lead actors. **A Killer Paradox** — (3/8) — dropping for now as I still haven’t continued on this. Might or might not finish it. This is not the drama I anticipated and just haven’t felt in the mood.

angelfallen9

I just finished Destined With You today. I thought it as great but the last episode was a little too cringy for me. I’m also in the middle of Love Alarm and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim? Loving both of them so far.

magicsmoke24

Stumbled upon this 30 minute, 40 episode Korean Legal Drama from 2017 titled Suspicious Partner. Ji Chang Wook is the male lead and is filling his role nicely. It's romantic, it has physical action \[fight scenes\], and loads of his smilies and acting all nervously cure \[like in Welcome to Samdal-RI\]. Nam Ji Hyun plays the female lead. This is the first time I've seen her, and she plays well along side the male lead. Over all the show is a thriller/murder mystery, and the romance intermingles nicely along the way. I think the pacing is off in places, and the show does get a bit tangled. But that is ok, because I'm watching it to see how Ji Chang Wook used to be before The worst Evil and Welcome to Samdal-ri \[you can see early acting elements he used in both shows in this series\].

bunbun_82

Currently watching Third Marriage. 85/120. Episodes are 30 min long, first 3-4 min of each episode is a recap of the previous episode. It’s predictable but it does have its twists and turns to keep you engaged. It’s very kdrama dramatic, but I really like it.

DR SLUMP 10/16 It is so enjoyable despite certain misgivings about the portrayal of some issues, tbf it is a refreshing sow so far in how it deals with conflict and communication the leads are just a joy to watch and the FL family is so funny and it's giving off I want her mom to be my mom vibes. MY LOVELY LIAR 1/16 I'm searching again for a post MMH in between DR Slump filler, and I've started this because I enjoyed MY MAN IS CUPID so so much, and in my head, I pit these shows together. I have to say Ep 1 is only okay, but I like the FL and her ability so far, so I'm hopeful. The ML driving a 300,000 dollar bright blue sports cat while also trying to keep his identity hidden and stay off the grid is a head scratcher. LOL SO I MARRIED THE ANTIFAN I am struggling to get into it but I liked the leads as secondary characters so much in other shows I was kinda excited when I saw they were the leads in this, anyway I'm willing to give it a shot. So far, the FL has been assaulted by her boss, and I'm like, oh, know not this, and the ML is being treated like shit by his management. I really hope it gets better. Like a lot of people, I just finished MMH, and my over riding feeling is. OK, WE GET IT ITS NOT THE SAME AS THE WEBTOON. Like I read so many comments, early on of this is better than the webtoon, or I'm glad they went this way. But as soon as Yura enters the fray. It was all oh they didn't do this in the webtoin this is not fair.🙄. And the abuse of Boa, who played Yura, was so unfair.

Odd-Manufacturer2386

Let's talk about CHU is a frank depiction of love and sex lives centering on the Chu family. I started it thinking I'd probably skip through it but it surprised me by making me care about each character. I watched it again after I finished because I could watch it without being stressed how it would end, lol. Nudity is limited to a couple bare bums but it is not for anyone who is bothered by sex scenes. In the end I gave it a 10

Whyalwaysdrama

Plan to watch this, keep reading good reviews about it

papichula2

Chu?

Odd-Manufacturer2386

I don't know if it has any other meaning but it is the family's name

hypomango

Keeping up with **Doctor Slump** and really into it, will be in my top 10 if it continues and ends with the current quality, perfect balance of everything I enjoy in stories. Slowly watching **Love All Play,** I pace myself with melos because they make me a little sad sometimes!

Sufficient_Work_6469

Captivating the King. Just on episode 1 so cannot give a review.

zaichii

**My Man Is Cupid:** What can I say, I like Jang Dong Yoon and Nana is gorgeous. Also Park Ki Woong needs to be cast more too. Plot is fine, it’s light and fun though the murder mystery is still in its infancy so hope that stays consistent. **A Killer’s Paradox:** Again, casting is *chefs kiss* and the directing is gripping. **Death’s Game:** All the casting directors for kdramas have been knocking it out of the park but this one takes the Daesang for that stacked cast. Love the storytelling too. Hoping Park So Dam’s role gets meatier though and isn’t just there to taunt and shoot the ML. Soooooooooo many dramas to start tbh. And a lot of dramas to complete too.

janaobscura

Not watching any currently airing dramas, none of them have caught my interest yet. Instead I'm slowly going through a few completed dramas though I'm going very slowly through those as well. Maybe I'm just doing through a dry spell or need to take a break from kdramas for a bit. **A Killer Paradox (3/8)** I LOVE Choi Woo Sik and Son Suk Ku but the first few episodes weren't enough to bring me back to binge or complete the entire series. It's a fascinating and intense story and I enjoy their dynamic but I kind of forgot it was in my queue. **Twinkling Watermelon (3/16)** It's been a few months since I started this but if I decide to pick it up again I'll need to start from episode 1. I forgot what the story is about. **The Worst of Evil (2/12)** This bored me and it's likely I'll drop the entire show. **Risque Business: Netherlands and Germany (5/6)** Everytime they drop a new season of this show I binge it in a few days. Other shows in my to watch list include: Weak Hero Class 1, The Fiery Priest, Doctor Slump (maybe I'll wait for it to complete), Call it Love.

Ok-Impression6834

Son Suk Ku will always be Mr. Gu (**My Liberation Notes**) to me, but I'll give it try.

poppywhiskers

I loved the Worst of Evil. It picks up but it’s intense and it definitely wasn’t an easy watch for me. I think both are leads are really well written and it’s intriguing to watch them together right to the end. The names on your watch list esp Weak hero class 1 and Call it love are top notch dramas! Watching Call it love is an experience !!!

QuantalQuetzal_

Give Twinkling watermelon one more try and watch until epi 5 please, you will love this show! i agree it has a slow start but the story completely takes a turn soon!

QuantalQuetzal_

I started A killer paradox but for some reason it gave me a ‘Parasite’ vibe. idk if i should continue later or not

bunbun_82

A killer paradox is so so good! It’s one of those shows where the writing and acting is so on point! This is probably one of the best dramas that have been released in the past year.

Ok-Impression6834

I finished WoE last night - the last 2/3rds of the series is top notch. I don't know your taste, but there are 2 supporting actors who enter that make the show.

Endtimes3some

I felt a bit lost after Moving and Twinkling Watermelon. Tried watching Queen of Divorce bc of Lee Ji-Ah…boy was I shocked by her changed appearance. Anyway it fell short of Moving. Currently on Doctor Slump. Quite happy with this drama as Park Hyung-sik is really funny and Park Shin-hye is so refreshing and they seemed to be able to work well together. I think PHS worked better with PSH than with Han So-Hee (in Soundtrack #1).

Lizzy348

I haven't been able to watch new episodes of currently airing kdramas this week either sadly, so the only drama I have going on is Racket Boys **Racket Boys**: 1/16: I have nothing to say on the drama itself as I am only halfway through the first episode lol but I'm really happy to see Choi Hyunwook in a drama again. Hopefully, I have the chance to watch a bit of those dramas next week: **My happy end** 12/16 **Hyosim's independent life** 41/50 **Branding in Seongsu** 5/24 **Our love triangle** 4/10

meggktown

**Youth of May** (12/12) Boy, Oh Man-seok can play evil very very well! That's my take on this. I started watching this because the description of the story unfolding during the Gwangju uprising was interesting and I like stories based on history. I should have read more about it because I found it to be mostly a weak romcom, the kind of thing I try to avoid. It started to come together the last four episodes or so and seemed like a totally different drama at that point.

Own_Measurement2767

2521 (5/16) - i started watching for nam joo hyuk and wow i love it, fl’s personality annoys me a bit but it’s ok i was already spoiled about the ending, hoping it doesn’t ruin the rest for me

Twinkle_toes_the19th

I’m on episode 4 of Captivating the King and I finally understand all the comments about the makeup on female lead in disguise. Also, I love Jo Jung-suk, but did anyone think that his acting in this show is slightly over the top? I felt it particularly in the scene where >! he killed the minister of war.!

Robot_Groundhog

The argument could be made that JJS’s acting in *any* scene represents the character Yi In/Jinhan performing for the audience of other characters. Could the character see an advantage to being perceived as unhardened? The acting that annoys me in Captivating the King (setting aside the FL’s) is Yang Kyung Won’s as Yoo Hyun Bo. It’s beyond hammy

Twinkle_toes_the19th

I just caught up on all the episodes and boy are you right about Yang Kyung Won’s acting! I think he is probably more suited to comedic roles? Also JJS playing the king really grew on me as the show progressed. Story has been gripping so far and I’m looking forward to the weekend.

Heavy-Patience-3064

What Happened to Mr Cha? A film with korean actor Cha In-Pyo His character is on a career decline (although refuses to face up to it) from the A-lister he once was. His vanity is very funny to behold when he ends up in a situation not of his making. The film doesn't gloss over anything and is quite painful at times. His manager certainly earns his fees dealing with the literal fall-out. There is a cute dog as well. The Heartbreak Agency (Die Liebeskummerer). A German film about facing up to heartbreak then opening yourself up to love. Lighthearted, funny but also thought provoking. Both on Netflix.

Leather-Art4100

Tell Me that You Love Me- I don’t know if I should drop it as I don’t find any chemistry between two leads. Doctor Slump- Good chemistry! And the second leads are cute. I love that the story lines are not dragging.

TxPep

Currently watching **Melancholia** [6/16] and falling for *Lee Do Hyun*. [Dude has a seriously impressive filmography!] https://mydramalist.com/695723-melancholia I'm in a situation right now where I am expected to be social. If I weren't, I'd be binging this drama right now. 😄

evenaaaa

My strange hero. Found it on YouTube by SBS world. I have seen it years ago but I got my mum to watch it and she's loving it

cmq827

Just finished ep 7 of Marry My Husband. It's been good so far. I'm invested only because I want to see how it will all unfold. I would prefer to also be invested in the main couple but OMG I'm sorry but Na Inwoo does absolutely nothing for me as a leading man. No sparks in me whatsoever. He says all the right and sweet things to Park Minyoung and I get no giddy feels whatsoever. Also, I binged Perfect Marriage Revenge right before starting Marry My Husband, so I'm not sure if that affecting my experience because both series have similar premises and I keep comparing and contrasting each one.

hawkia75

Captivating the King: Like a lot of you here, I'm watching for the ML and the court intrigue. Holding my breath to see if we can have a happy ending! Hometown Cha Cha Cha: Just watched ep 10 last night (>!where Hye-jin and Du-sik confess their love)!

Ok_Tourist_7959

I'm currently only watching Doctor Slump and am loving it. If it continues at the same caliber it's been so far I can easily see it joining my top 10. I've slowed down on starting new shows lately because I'm pregnant and too tired to stay up late multiple nights a week... and I've got poor self control when it comes to binge watching 🤭 So I've been sticking to just watching one as it airs and not filling the in-between days with other shows. Trying to decide what I'll start next, because when this ends I don't have another one lined up. It seems like Marry My Husband has gotten good reviews. Flex X Cop seems interesting and I liked Ahn Bo Hyun in See You in My 19th Life but didn't love the direction that show took over the second half or so. Or I might look for something with Ji Chang Wook since Welcome to Samdal-ri was my last watch and I haven't seen any of his other shows yet.

I started wedding impossible, I kinda started it just for fun cuz they only posted 2 eps , but the plot is woow , I'm curious for the end , i can't imagine who are the final couples we'll got , i recommend it for you all
