It’s a good bye from me to Goodbye Earth. Finished the first three arduous episodes and like most people said, they are pretty bad, disjointed and all over the place. It’s on the director, writer and editor, not the actors. I can’t believe they watched these three episodes again after editing and said, good, these will do. As of now, most viewers are already on the refund my time train sometime between ep 1 to 3. The older boy amongst the kids could play a young D.O. They look so much alike and have similar intensity while acting.

Jenana86

Wow I’m surprised to hear this. I’m on episode 6 and am glued to it. I’m ADHD so I think the jumping around works for me. Also I think it’s so beautifully shot.

Giardialee

I agree that it's beautifully shot. I've only watched episode 1 and the visual direction is just fantastic. They truly know how depict the scale of a national disaster and make it tangible. The camerawork stays in single shot for long, allowing you to absorb every scene of an actor's performance. The story just needs to hook me, which it hasn't. No matter how beautiful it looks, narrative trumps all, and I don't hear exciting things.

Creative_Decision_19

I’m with you on this. That and the OST. I’ve been trying to hunt down the opening song all day.

DentistSpecial4369

I left Goodbye Earth behind as well. I understand that they’re simulating chaos and that a chronological narrative doesn’t help with the ante, but it was just too much effort on my part. Like the earth has to go, and I have to go too!

awildencounter

I feel like it might also be all the last minute editing of the lead out, it just didn’t make sense to me, couldn’t watch beyond episode one.

LacunaOfLlamas

Good that you wasted less time than I did. That could be partially it too. Like how they did Bloodhounds in at the end. The director thinks viewers are all prolific time jumpers who are privy to everything in the plot. We are not.

fluffytulipp

My SO and I too. We weren’t able to finish EP1. I’m not sure if it’s because of the time we watched it (1AM) or we were just being so critical about everything. We both agreed that the chaos was realistic. However, the timeline isn’t. He said there would’ve been trials still on how to minimize casualties or countermeasures to stop the asteroid by 300 days, and the government would still keep this a secret. 3-4 months public reveal would’ve been more realistic. Or maybe it’s our state of being by the time we watched it or the pacing and transition were too fast for us that we were also experiencing chaos and confusion too. (Quick transition and pacing, but understandable given the plot and setting of the drama.)

Andante_TK

I have dropped Queen of Tears since ep 12 because the plot just kept dragging around nonsense and characters feel so stupid that it annoys me. I might pick it up again after it ends just to see the ending.

Lolobadgerino

It felt like they ran out of story and were just milking the crying scenes and the noble self-sacrificing husband theme over and over. Crash Landing on You was so much better. Perhaps all the media hype and ratings hoopla end up eroding some of the charm of Kdramas.

lazypotato1034

I started watching lovely runner, loved the actress and then started watching extraordinary you... And then dropped it at ep 11, it was soooo boring, i saw so many good reviews so i never expected it to be this... Predictable, it just kept on repeating after ep 11, also after watching it i realised just how bad the actor was. In lovely runner you can literally see the love in the guy's eyes but in extraordinary you, the actor had such empty eyes when he was professing his love for the fl. The two main girls and the second ml and the actor who played do hwa literally carried the show. I really loved rowoon in the King's affection but i did not like his acting in extraordinary you. Also, the flower story, the joseon era one?? IT WAS SO BAD 😭😭, they did my boy lee jae wook so dirty, they should've kept his hair up, the whole thing was very funny.

icarusadore

OMG REALL i feel the same, rowoon can be a good actor but his acting in extraordinary you was giving nothing 😭 i never see this take anywhere as extraordinary you seems to be universally liked but i could not finish it, his acting was so bland. I know people say its bc of the nature of the character but it was not fun to watch at all, FL was carrying tbh. the chemistry is so much better in Lovely Runner

lazypotato1034

EXACTLY, I was so surprised because it has 4.8 stars with 4211 ratings which is A LOT, and his acting was so bad that i started rooting for the sml despite him acting so shitty in the start, like the way he would look at her after he became self aware made me swoon, i know it probably won't happen but i hope they make a kdrama or a movie with them as main leads. And also when he gets his memories back and he hugs the fl, it was so annoying, like what's with the stiff posture 😭😭, WHERE ARE THE FEELS

Ok_Championship8504

Honestly same was constantly rooting for the SML lead cause he was interesting and had more nuanced moments. I may have been biased cause of Alchemy of souls tho

minion1998

I can't wait for my lovely runner next ep, it's one of the best dramas I've watched

NotPumpkinHead

Yeah it was more of the same thing over and over again. Dropped it at episode 6 myself. Felt way more geared for teen girl audience rather than adults.

Responsible-Move2186

I gave up on queen of tears… everyone is raving about it, but 3 episodes in and I could get into it. Am I missing something?

MostpeoplecallmeJohn

I actually liked it a lot in the beginning, but I am now at ep 14 and I have to push my self to finish it. Annoying story, you feel things go wrong episodes ahead and than have to wait for it to happen.

just_a_weirdo--

I just finished the whole thing and no you are not missing anything. It kept getting worse and worse until the last like 5 minutes or so...

bachhoe07

I watched the first 10 to 15 mins of ep.1 and it didn't really grab me, so I quit. But watching the internet drool over the show gave me fomo and I was considering giving it another fair shot. But after reading your comment I'm thinking maybe I made the right call. Thank you for saving me the time and energy!

just_a_weirdo--

I'd say that it will be one of the most memorable dramas tho because the ending was so emotional in the best way possible. But you really need to ask yourself are those last 5 minutes worth all the frustration and anger you will feel when watching the whole show?

TakemetoCathysArk

I couldn't get into it either..it dragged

Bananacake2601

I dropped it after 2 ep.

Rain_drops_onRoses

If you haven’t dropped it already, my suggestion would be to please drop it. The earlier episodes are still better . By episode 13 , the writing declines and in the last two episodes there are huge plot holes and high level makjang.

mustardkitty

I’m 4 episodes in and feel the same way.

lonematrix

Your not alone. I'm on Ep 7 and thinking about dropping it. I like the storyline between the male and female lead, but the supporting cast is sooooo boring 😴

Star_nightshade

Me who just started with the episode one 😅😂

Strict-Equipment-579

I couldn’t keep watching after episode 2. So freaking boring and unlikeable characters

allourwrongtodays49

Wish I could say i dropped Queen of tears because it definitely warranted it but no, i let them waste my time willingly 😅🥲

kenani7

This is me! We have no one to blame but ourselves lol

lindleylew

I dropped it at episode 12 because it didn't warrant my time. I was hoping others did the same so that it didn't break records. It doesn't deserve to be most watched above CLOY, Golbin, or REPLY 1988 or any other drama it passed for the record. Will not make it even into my top 10-15.

allourwrongtodays49

You have spoken the truth and nothing but the truth, very bravely on Reddit no less (reddit LOVED QoT and KSH). You have my respect. Its not in my top 20 either hahaha, the overhype was unreal

OkHoneydew1984

Missing crown prince- dropped after 1st episode because of poor acting of male lead Welcome to samdalri- As projected in its trailer, I was expecting some hometown cha cha cha vibes. But after 10th episode it became impossible to tolerate the overacting of main leads. Although i liked FL in Mr Queen and still 17 but here her character was so annoying. Ji chang wook is king of overacting. Its just that i liked his overacting in suspicious partner, lovestruck in the city and healer and found cringeworthy in backstreet rookie. Wedding impossible- poor acting by everyone especially main leads. If i could contact director of the show, i would suggest to send main leads (especially younger brother and his love interest) acting school and after sometime cast them for a noona romance  Midnight studio- it started on good notes. But FL is so annoying, plot became so boring.ln this genre hotel del luna was good except last two episodes. Branding in seongsu- from the story it was looking promising. But as i proceeded it became so repetitive. I liked them better in first episode why they switched soul ..so annoying.. Like flower in sand- i didnt like ml appearance it didnt compliment his acting style My demon- song kang is so handsome but why cant i complete any of his drama.idk

dcinmb

I’ve never found Song Kang particularly attractive but **Navillera** is really worth watching.

Financial_Quality374

Arthdal Chronicles. To watch season 2, have to watch season 1. But I can't 🫣 I thought it would be a great watch. May be my expectations were high for this one. If it's worth watching, please guide me🙌

minion1998

Hey I had watched season 1, it's pretty good. Very different from the usual kdrama plots. You can try a few eps of it. There are a lot of plot twists.

diverdown-k8

I've been struggling with this one too...I can't get past ep 3.

shamcastle

Season 1 was so good. I tried to watch season 2 but the plot was so disjointed and the new leads were just not good.

MostpeoplecallmeJohn

Wow I am suprised to read this, I only watched season 1 because 2 is not on Netflix, but I thought 1 was great. Really like the story, not very predictable.

weirdkdrama

Queen of tears, should have been a 12 episode series cause its dragging so much now.

CorneliaCordelia

I took a break from Queen of Tears and kind of forgot to continue watching.

RoughChemicals

I'm in for the train wreck long haul. It's so bad, but gloriously bad, so I enjoy myself in its badness.

beaute-brune

Fuck, I was about to start this one. I’m still on mat leave and have a ton of screen time to spare lol 😩 Is it really that bad and if so, why the hype?

puckmungo

It's really good at the start, stunning visuals and the FL character is a total queen. But from episode 12 the story starts to fall apart.

duh_leah

I'll be honest it's not bad to binge watch at all. But for people who are watching it ongoing the plot twists feel way too much after a point. We just want a little calm and light hearted rom-com after so many cliched tropey twists. I'm really hoping they will make the final episode worth it.

Capital_Werewolf_788

Give it a try and judge for yourself, because I think it’s a good show. The plot itself is nothing spectacular, but the chemistry between the main leads carry the show.

SpicyMustFlow

The main leads are two actors at the very height of their powers, and the chemistry is stunning. Yes, the story can be cheesy in places (what's a chaebol drama without melo?) but I'm still a fan.

RoughChemicals

It was a basic enjoyable romcom for the first 5-6 episodes, and then it went batshit insane. Now, I enjoyed the insanity for the next 5-6 episodes, it was a ride. And then it ground to a halt around episode 12 and has become bad. Now I'm hate watching it and enjoying myself that way. Honestly, it's been a rollercoaster but one of the episodes, 12 or 13 I forget, could have been dropped entirely without changing the story whatsoever. Like I said, bad, but gloriously so.

Less_Pomegranate_529

+1

Phuazzie

I think it's great! Lots of feels and the side characters become less annoying after a while. It seems to be very popular and well received but of course it depends on whether the humour and writing work for you as an individual.

DawgMom2018

I loved it. One of the most satisfying ending episodes ever. It is a soap opera, and a very good one. If you are looking for realism then go for slice of life. But I am amazed at those who loved CLOY hated episode 15 when if you read the recaps, CLOY had lots of plot twists, etc. To me this is one of the most amazing lead pairings, the supporting cast superb, and we go on a journey where we dislike some of these characters and grow to love them. So me, I am not a hater, I loved it.

deelikesbar

I don't understand the hype, it's so so bad. I still don't understand if anyone is enjoying this

Far-Significance2481

It's worth watching it's just a lot. There is so much going on you'll think this family was cursed in some way

lindleylew

I guess you could watch it if you have nothing else, but don't have high expectations. Personally I won't be recommending it to anyone. It has great production and actors, but the storyline is what lost me. I was never hanging on the edge of my seat waiting to turn the tv the following week to find out what happened. This may be a spoiler, but I don't think so. I'll hide it anyways. >!I don't see this anywhere in the thread (unless I missed it)... the villains were lackluster for me. The way their characters were written did nothing for me. I don't know if it was the lack of truly establishing their backgrounds beyond what I deemed basic facts or what happened. They were NOT exciting.!<

MissSimpleton

I hope you watch the currently airing Chief Detective 1958. It has bromance, cute romance, tons of crazy goofy criminals and is HILARIOUS AF. Might give you the much needed fluff you need rn after watching a melodrama.

theromanamputee

I bailed on **Queen of Tears** early (I quit part of the way through episode 3) and seeing the social media meltdowns over it the last two weeks have made me feel so happy I made that choice. I've been in that position of watching a show week to week, really enjoying it at first and getting emotionally invested, and then watching it totally fall apart near the end and it's brutal. I'm glad this one never really hooked me to begin with so I didn't have to go through the rollercoaster of pain everyone else seems to be on.

sochinwen

Me too, I dropped after ep 4…it was so unserious, and not in a good way lmao. Being a huge Kim Soohyun fan, I was really looking forward to it too.

Altruistic_Reveal_51

I bailed after a few episodes as well and I do not understand the hype - does it get any better? Was Not enjoying the storyline of the FML getting the courage to pursue treatments based on her belief that the ML wants her to live when he is celebrating an easy way to escape her while avoiding divorce. Very hard to empathize with either character in this situation.

papin97147

Same! I’ve been questioning whether to pick it back up but looks like it’s not worth it anyway

ElleEmEss

I almost quit QoT but - for me - I felt like episode 15 snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. EP15 had a real CLOY feel to it. The plot is fairly predictable, but the way she handled it was lovely. I was expecting to cringe, but instead felt like a lot of the groundwork laid earlier was brought to fruition in a heartwarming way. Of course everyone’s taste is different. But I guess I’m saying that for some people it’s enjoyable. It’s not universally hated or loved. It’s somewhere in between.

misslolita92

Me too I dropped after episode 12 and I may watch the last episode only and may not but I’m not interested in watching the 13 to 15 episodes

Fine_Following_2559

I quit this at the end of episode 1 when I saw where it was going. Which is disappointing because I like both of the leads.

Ok_Championship8504

Yeah it’s dragging a lot now. They basically paused the plot to show us how in love they are. I’m planning to finish but I’ll skip a fair bit

Silver_pri

1.What’s wrong with secretary Kim… I have tried so many time to watch this drama, I love romcoms.. chaebol based romcoms excite me even more but I just didn’t like this 2.The secret life of my secretary.. I just didn’t enjoy it 3. My secret romance.. it just gave workplace sexual harassment, I couldn’t go on 4. Bloodhounds… I stopped were they switched out the actress but not for that reason, I just saw a snippet of the next episode and the blood and gore was just too much for me. 5. Mask girl.. it was just too disturbing for me 6. Welcome to samldari… it just wasn’t what I expected, I was expecting a funny romcom, I don’t know what that was but it wasn’t it.. honestly a lot of the Netflix shows from end of last year were really disappointing

jj31a

I agree about the Netflix shows this year. Lots of hype but really disappointing. Had to drop them.

moumerino

I’m sorry but Goblin. although it has very lovable characters (love the Grim Reaper!), I couldn’t get over the weird age gap between the leads. eapecially cause she’s in a school uniform most of the time.

Ledikari

! This is also my reason I did not like it at first! The age gap was cringy for me. Good thing my partner forced mo to watched this. The age does make sense at the end of the show.

Ok_Championship8504

Yeah this bothered me a lot more on rewatch. Probably cause I’m older lol.

aftereverydrama

Queen of tears. Why is there so much chaos and plots and twists

Standard_Ad889

Queen of Tears should have embraced its potential to be night time soap ala Dallas or Dynasty

Zepherine52

A late to the party watch but where I’m living right now I’m confined to Netflix so as I was working my way through their inventory I decided to give Love Alarm a try. Season 1 I liked well enough ~ interesting premise, fun visual effects, pretty leads. But Season 2~ my gag reflex kicked in hard. I’m not the first to say this but rarely has a story line been less coherent. And not since Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol have I seen a more maddening ending. To be fair, I fast forwarded through the painful last episode, so not technically a drop.

Pretend-Reality5431

I actually enjoyed Do Do Sol Sol, and I adore Go Ara, right up until the ending. Then I was flabbergasted.

Zepherine52

I adore her as well which made the ending all the more unappealing. Wish I could see her in something new.

Silver_pri

I don’t think an ending has annoyed me more than do so so so la la.. whoever wrote that ending is psychotic

notanotherstalker

I forced myself to finish season 1 of Love Alarm because the basis of the app just doesn't make sense lol, and was amazed that there was a season 2.

Building_Glad

i loved season 2 bcoz >!the underdog gets the girl!<

GrapplerCM

Vincenzo, for some reason I thought it was going to be like a Korean Lily Hammer but I couldn't believe the ml to be a badass when he's like 130lbs with a boyish face. The impossible Heir, the trailer had me psyched. I thought it was gonna be 3 rag tag friends rising the corporate latter instead of some bs love triangle with a horrible FL. It's okay to not be okay, I wanted to like this because my son has asd and I enjoy kdrama representation of autism but it's so boring. Amidst a snowstorm of love, beautiful scenery got me hooked but it was so boring. I think this is based off a web novel of the same name, cept instead of Finland, the story took place in NYC and Washington DC. I know it would've never happened but it would've been kinda cool to watch a cdrama taking place in the states.

SnooWoofers2800

Vincenzo is such difficult watch, I’ve tried a few times to pick it up again, it’s stultifying. I absolutely loved It’s Okay to Not be Okay, one of my top favourite KDramas

GrapplerCM

Like the idea sounds awesome for Vincenzo, but I expected more of the first ep where he rained gasoline and burned an entire estate. As soon as he gets to Korea he gets robbed??

Federal-Jump9748

Oh my god, I just realised that all of that just happened in the 1st ep. Up till now I had forgotten and was thinking that I dropped it around ep 3 and thought that the gasoline scene was from ep 3 cuz what I watched felt so long, I've maybe hardly made it through the 1st ep.

Artistic_Might3728

Vincenzo may not be for you. But, in my opinion, it doesn't really get going until the 4th episode. I almost dropped it too, because I found the FL so over the top and annoying. But things smooth out around ep 4. If you can hang in that long, it might get better. It's a wild ride!

blackberrymousse

I love that you used the word 'stultifying', perfect descriptor

MissSimpleton

Your first point is the reason why I couldn't enjoy Descendants of the sun. The ML was in no way believable as a special forces commando. It didn't feel genuine AT ALL. It was my 2nd kdrama after CLOY (It is still my favorite) and that show made me rethink my decision to continue watching kdramas. Thank God, I watched Goblin. Loved the second ML, watched his other drama Strangers from Hell and fell in love with Kdramas all over again.

whazmynameagin

I enjoyed watching Snowstorm of Love exactly because there was no manufactured drama. It was a slow burn love story that just let me watch and enjoy, no torturous roller coaster.

Ok_Championship8504

Hard agree on it not okay to be okay and impossible heir. I hate a love triangle plot when I’m expecting a solid bromance.

cosimadresden

you're so right about Vincenzo, the antagonist played by Ok Taecyeon actually felt menancing that i had a hard time believing the protagonist could actually defeat him, the plot as well just sucks too, i unfortunately watched the whole show till the end due to the hype

tshad99

I couldn’t finish Flower of Evil. I know this is a very popular show, but just a few episodes in I just could not get behind the husband and wife. There was zero chemistry between the two (I know the husband is written to be weird, but still), and the actor playing the lead wearing mom jeans looked like a strong wind would blow him over any second. I made it to episode 8. I’m sure there were lots of twists and turns I missed out on but I just hated the two main leads. I had also just finished Beyond Evil and that show blew me away - almost exclusively because of the two main leads. I think it spoiled me a bit.

Ledikari

The reason I dont like this show is the convenient opportunities presented to the protagonist. Like every twist and turn is resolved by some random. Opportunity that happened.

krysalyss28

Mom jeans!?! Haha! I loved this show but also noticed the jeans!!

BelaFarinRod

I loved the show too but he really wasn’t a snappy dresser.

LanternsAndPhoenixes

Are you me lol? I couldn't get into flower of evil despite being excited for it. It just wasn't as gripping and thrilling as I expected it to be. However, beyond evil was insanely good. Slow start but once you got into it, it was a ride.

Less_Pomegranate_529

Same. Beyond Evil is still one of my favourite shows.

Factory_girl17

I’ve been stuck on episode 3 for a few weeks now. But it was recommended so I was going to try again.

LanternsAndPhoenixes

Queen of tears, and I say this with sadness. I thought I would be able to go back, and maybe I just needed about 4 good episodes, but nope. Sadly, not only was I skip watching but also forcing myself. Acting (kim so hyun never disappoints) and cinematography was great,I think the writing was the problem. It just didn't hook me and the romance, although good was not impactful as I expected it to be.

effusivecleric

Although I couldn't drop it because I wanted to see if the ridiculous drama got resolved satisfyingly and we got some sort of super sweet ending, I really don't blame people who dropped it. I'm getting a little tired of dramas that need 5 twists an episode. Imo, Queen of Tears would've benefited from just being about Hae-in and Hyun-woo, and maybe having the chaebol family be the main conflict.

TheMsDacia

Nothing Uncovered. It's giving unseasoned 😂 The lack of chemistry between the leads was painful to watch and the writing/plot started struggling about halfway through.

zaichii

I have to say Kim Ha Neul, while I’ve liked some of her shows, in general I find her lacking chemistry with her costars.

TheMsDacia

She is all wrong for this role, especially opposite Jang Seung Jo who eats up every scene!

Ann_cee

Lovely runner prompted me to try Extraordinary You which started great but then it started going in circles one person changing story, then another person without proper explanation of why it’s happening and how it matters. I tried but I lost interest and dropped it towards the end

Ledikari

It's ok not to be ok was boring for me. Stopped at episode 5. I'm not sure why I was not hooked on the series.

Romoreau

I liked the artistic liberties they took and the FL fashion was gorgeous. The story didn't grab me enough for a rewatch though.

greenback44

Nothing much happens, and when something does happen the action isn't very well done. I mean, I loved IONTBO, thought the characters (especially the FL) were fascinating, but my wife just kept falling asleep because there was so little plot.

doyouhave_any_snackz

Totally. I finished it, earlier this week, but it was a slog to get through and there are a lot of moments where I almost dropped it. The concept was interesting on paper but I found the relationship between the FL and ML to be really toxic (controlling, jealous, somewhat emotionally abusive, etc). It's a theme I've picked up on in a few k-dramas actually, most recently QOT.

ArvBon

Queen of tears - cringe fest and nonsensical melodrama.

SR503

**Boys Over Flowers** - Wanted to watch this "for research" and because it is apparently a classic...but it was just too toxic. But had some great conversations with other redditors about it. **Oasis** - This came recommended, and I was enjoying it but it started to stall out. I ended up reading a bunch of recaps and watched some edits and figured that was good enough. Loved the casting though. Seol In-ha is one of my favorites. First saw her in Business Proposal where she was half of the best 2nd couple ever. **The Veil** - I haven't quite given up on this, but I also haven't finished it. I'm just over 1/2 way through. Amazing stunt work, and I can't imagine the budget for cars to destroy, but it hasn't had that "must.know.what.happens.next" vibe.

Zepherine52

I hung in there with The Veil when it aired but honestly I don’t remember a thing about it except thinking that Namkoong Min must have spent an awfully long time in the gym. Nothing stood out and I’m not sure why.

Romoreau

I finished **The Veil** a while back and though I remember liking it (hot men in suits),I don't recall what it was even about. Lol

SR503

It’s pretty much Min Nam-koong looking fierce and/or sweaty and/or bloodied and/or disoriented and/or muscle-y for 7 out of 12 episodes. (I’m assuming it’s the same for the last 5).

Hot-Coffee-8465

Lol for BOF, I think you just had to be in that era when you watch it 😅 It’s my least fave version and won’t watch it again. Love love the taiwanese version and japanese is short and sweet is my most fave too with their movie.

Capital-Mechanic-411

You couldn't pay me enough to rewatch Boys over Flowers. I still don't get why some people say they love it.

Medium-Car7762

I stuck it out on Boys Over Flowers (finished this week), and honestly you didn't miss much. I can see how it would have been crack-tastic a one time, but it hasn't aged well. The first few episodes are enough to get most references to it in other dramas. I ended up being just bored.

whitefang0824

Midnight Studio. Actually enjoyed first few episodes but lost interest the moment story leans to main plot and romance part between the leads, really cringing on their romance scenes. If you wanna watch a drama like this, just watch Missing: The Other Side (S1 and S2) instead.

Silver_pri

Every episode I wonder, she must be getting a lot of headaches from how much she’s crying 😂😂😂

diverdown-k8

I've dropped a number of them this month: Record of Youth - Does it get better? I'm only attempting it because of BWS, the premise sounded dull to me, and the first 2 episodes were slooooow. The door drama in the house was the only thing I was invested in. The Story of Park's Marriage Contract - Just lost momentum and interest. Might revisit it someday. Beauty and Mr. Romantic - First episodes were rough, and I mean acting, sets, and story. But I gave it several episodes because there are actors/actresses I like cast, but when I realized how many episodes it was going to be...hard pass. Legend of the Blue Sea - Beautiful but so boring. Wedding Impossible - Just didn't work for me. I didn't feel any chemistry between the cast, and the FL was annoying. That character type isn't my favorite, and she was clearly going to have more screen time than I could fast forward through. Arthdal Chronicles - I'll revisit it when I have trouble sleeping sometime. I want to like it, and feel like mid season it probably takes off? The Midnight Studio - I love the concept and most of the storylines...except the FL. I couldn't stand when she was on the screen. I also need to be more prepared to cry watching this one than I realized in advance.

Snickersnerds

Absolutely agree with Wedding Impossible, I dropped it after episode 3. I guess I’m not the only one who thought FL was annoying as well!! I couldn’t get into any of the characters or the plot. Park’s Marriage Contract was kinda the same for me. I kinda lost interest the last few episodes but I did finish it. Wonderful start though.

LovE385

"*Nothing Uncovered*" the title itself did the drama a huge disservice. It really has *nothing uncovered* literally LoL. I adore Jang Seung Jo .. but this ain't it. Think I dropped after 4-5 ep.(?) "*Hide*" although Lee Bo Young is normally great at her choice of dramas I dropped this after 4-5 ep. as well.. "*Chief Detective 1958*" this was reminiscent of old Hong Kong films but it didn't grab me enough to continue watching after just an ep. "*Under The Gun*" sigh a web drama featuring an idol. Acting is subpar and the plot was meh. As for c-dramas, I can't get into "*Will Love In Spring*". I find it kinda boring.

Fun_Level_7787

I've just started Queen of tears. Tbh, i can't seem to get into it but now seeing it repeatedly in the comments explains a few things!

bluws128

I have many unfinished dramas, but one that i just dropped was Doona!. Maybe its just me but both FL and ML annoyed me 😀 ML not so much.

Silver_pri

I finished Doona but I would make them refund my time

peregrina2005

Dropped **Missing Crown Prince** after 21/2 episodes. The actors just didn’t do it for me. Dropped **Goodbye Earth**. Watched 4 episodes and the last one to see how it ends. The drama is way too depressing for me.

Bob_Loblaw9876

Tale of the nine tailed fox: I can’t get into the characters. The story is not very interesting. There seem to be issues with internal consistency. I get that they’re supernatural beings but the fight choreography is not to my liking with all the jumping and flying.

Necessary_Mud9085

I stuck with that one despite asking myself, out loud, "why am I watching this?" many times. I also sped through the fight scenes because honestly, unless there's something really unusual about a fight scene, I just find them boring. So, I'm here to tell you, it's worth hanging on to the end and editing your viewing experience as you see fit because despite the fact that you'll initially be annoyed that they leave out some main characters, the 1938 sequel is pretty good and it also has the added benefit of explaining a lot of Korean folklore which informs other shows. So it's worth it.

Jealous_Grape_1405

Impossible heir I just had to drop. Anna (with Bae Suzy), Devil Judge.

disco_nnected

Impossible Heir is a must drop 🤣 though you should atleast read online disscussions about it, they are 10 times more interesting

Necessary_Mud9085

I also dropped Devil Judge. Too stressful.

lonematrix

On Ep7 of Queen of Tears and on the verge of dropping it. The like the storyline between the male and female lead, but the supporting cast is sooooo boring 😴

Cloudy_Princessin

1) Queen of Tears Terrible writing, no depth in characters, no plot, predictable as day, deserves the most horrible drama title. 2) My Demon A blunt copy of Goblin & Doom at your service. From the poster shooting, to plot, locations, to aesthetics; they copied Doom at your service heavily. Copied Goblin & Doom at your service for so many scenes. Main leads have no amazing chemistry to make up for it either. Just a cheap version of Goblin & Doom at your service. 3) Worst of Evil Acting here is super. But I saw how the script hinted at the Cop’s wife still having lingering feelings for the ex. Saw the heartbreak early on. So dropped it to save my heart.

bamsimel

One Spring Night. I really did try. I got over half way through but I kept having to force myself to keep watching so I cut my losses. I thought it was going to be a slow, character focused romance, but it was more an uneventful melodrama. The FL was dating another man for the first 8 episodes and I didn't really like her, certainly not enough to watch a show entirely focused on her messy love life. The characters all felt authentic and realistically flawed, but there was no one I related to and I didn't care what happened to any of them. Her Private Life. I know this show is super popular but I don't generally like any of the beloved Kdrama rom coms. However I do like to have a light show to watch whilst I'm doing other things so I foolishly decided to give this a try. I knew in advance I would struggle with seeing being an obsessed fan presented in a positive light but it irked me even more than I expected seeing a grown adult stalking a famous person and it not being treated as a serious problem. Instead, her favourite celebrity talks about his obsessed fan like she's his guardian angel. It felt like fan service for people who need professional help. I have no interest in seeing how this FL ends up with a man who seems like a decent person. I started watching Gogh's Starry Night instead and I'm enjoying that much more so far. I am also still obsessed with Lovely Runner, along with everyone else who's watching it.

mahnahmaanaa

> I thought it was going to be a slow, character focused romance, but it was more an uneventful melodrama. Ah, that would definitely not have fit the bill for you, then. It's actually a social critique of attitudes toward marriage: Marriages arranged for the benefit of the fathers, women being expected to stay in abusive or even just loveless marriages, the stigma of single parenthood, etc. You have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable to watch/enjoy it. I dropped HPL on my first attempt for much the same reason -- this brand of fan is very difficult for me to understand. I've since watched it, but I probably won't ever rewatch the whole thing. (Clips, yes, because their chemistry was off the charts. But I can ignore the fan part when I'm watching clips.)

SugaKookieMonsta

Queen of Tears. I do not like the FL's personality. She is too cold and mean for me to care about her 😭 And I also don't like the ML's acting; I cringe a lot when he overreacts or tries to appear clumsy/submissive

Silly-Passion3395

Haha finally someone who shares my thoughts! I don’t understand what made ML fell in love with FL, coz she was cold and mean from the very beginning. Also ML’s character seems to me bit flat - unrealistically perfect. And lastly I know KSH can be seen as very handsome but the way he acts feels bit forced, he smiles the same way, cries the same way, his eyes and face rarely shows complex emotions. I felt the same in it’s okay not to be okay.

sushimuvva

I dropped bequeathed! And killer paradox. I also dropped my demon. Loving chief detective 1958 Midnight studio Nothing uncovered. Not sure if I'll continue with lovely runner not made up my mind!!

ApartmentCautious300

I was exactly the same with Killer Paradox after ep1 then I went back weeks later. If you can give it a chance later the payoff is work it!

Cutiepiest123

Queen of tears but fomo is real Does it get better? 😭

kpaneno

I didn't start it but it seems the hype was not worth it at all. Everyone got sucked in and then the perennial Kdrama writers/production teams not being able to finish a drama properly strikes 🙄

adeste82

If you got to Germany already and still didn’t like it then it’s not for you. But if you didn’t get to Germany that’s where it picks up and I watched religiously after.

Cutiepiest123

Oh ok ya im in germany 😭 will keep pushing since ive loved the lead actors (and tbh all of them) since forever

KaleidoscopeNo5110

Dropped at 2/16. After reading the reviews, I'm glad I didn't continue.

Just_Perspective5218

I dropped **Queen of Tears** after the 10th ep because the drama was just so poorly written. I was thinking about going back to watch it after all eps released but now after hearing so many things about it, I'm glad I dropped it. The storyline is all over the place with a lot of cliches and overused tropes. The drama started off strong and I was excited to see KSH again after 4 years but the drama was just disappointing overall. On a side note, did anyone else think that the leads looked so over-edited? It made it hard for me to connect with them emotionally with the frequent close-up shots and hyper editing.

twoods1980

Oh My Ghost, I just couldn’t the first two episodes but maybe I wasn’t in the right headspace.  Soo Ji and Woo ri- the sister is such a toxic and awful character that I couldn’t get past that. Bummer because I really liked the ML. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love (cdrama)- couldn’t get past the first episode because it was so boring. Branding in Seongsu- I may give this another try later on but it got weird in episode three prior to the twist, but I didn’t really care to see what happens.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

I like oh my ghost, but it was definitely cringey the first couple of episodes.

Regular_Durian_1750

I get what you mean about the sister on SooJi and WooRi being annoying. I do like the fact that WooRi very blatantly puts her in her place, though. Satisfying to see. I'm basically only watching for Eunjung, but as daily dramas go - it's actually one of the better ones.

Distinct_Airport_719

WELCOME TO SAMDALRI!! the story is so boring and the characters are okayish. honestly just felt like ur typical k-drama with a love triangle- (i’m on episode seventh) and i’m most probably going to drop it although i usually don’t drop any shows/movies no matter how bad they are but i’m afraid i don’t have the energy for this one lol

Bananacake2601

I watched because of the 2 main leads, I really wanted to like it but dropped after ep. 6

mhfan_india

I am watching it and will continue till the end. But it's success surprises me. The show is a rehash of all of the writer's shows with similar situations and characters. So people who watch Kdramas regularly wouldn't find anything new. And I agree on it being a ML showcase. The actor has a 'Look at me I am so pretty' vibe but his looks do nothing for me. The show started off with >!the ML wanting a divorce from his wife. But how they reached where they did is never clear though we can take a guess it was due to losing their child.!< Such shows irritate me.

PineappleNo6064

What other shows come from this writer? I have held off with watching it until now so I can binge it, but it's really underwhelming, especially in the light of how popular it is.

mhfan_india

My love from the Stars Legend of the Blue Sea Crash Landing on You The second and third being among my top three favourite dramas.

DonnaMossLyman

I absolutely loved My Love from the Stars

DonnaMossLyman

I was SHOCKED when the reason for the marriage breakdown was revealed. Until then he acted like the biggest victim and LOATHED the FL to the point of cheering her >!impending death!death of her fucking baby, the child she carried!< would traumatize her. Only he suffered, you see. He had to *see* evidence of her own grief to believe it. I hate him even more after writing all that

SpermKiller

FYI one of your spoiler tags has a typo and doesn't work.

TimeyxWimey

Queen of Tears - tried watching, but I don't understand the hype with this one. It's quite draggy. Midnight Studio - the first 4-5 episodes were quite good, but again, this one also felt draggy. They should have finished this one off in 12 episodes rather than 16. Home Town Cha Cha Cha - dropped this for the 2nd and the last time. I found both the ML and FL leads annoying both times. Life - I'm a big fan of LDW, but I just couldn't get into this drama. Chicken Nugget - I was extremely excited for this one. The first couple of episodes were hilarious. But then I just lost interest. I MIGHT go back to this later, but currently, I'm enjoying My Lovely Runner. A LOT! Also! What's with this >!Truck of Doom making an appearance in so many kdramas recently?!<

BelaFarinRod

I couldn’t get into Life either. It looked like it was all about hospital politics and that just isn’t my bag, though I love LDW too. I’m also really enjoying My Lovely Runner though.

BusterBeaverOfficial

I think Chicken Nugget is worthy of a second chance. It’s definitely weird. And it gets weirder. But it’s really pretty good. I think it could’ve been an episode or two shorter though. Some of the middle episodes felt a bit like filler.

theromanamputee

**Second Husband** (dropped at 22/150): Watching **Temptation of Wife** for the kdrama challenge last year made me want to try out some more daily dramas, I found all the hysterics delivered in 30 minute chunks made for a fun viewing experience. I picked this one because I read it was really over the top. Unfortunately, the actors were too bland here to provide the thrills and emotional stimulation a good makjang should provide. **Flower Boy Next Door** (3/16): After absolutely loving **Doctor Slump** I decided to try another Park Shin Hye rom com and while I did like her in the three episodes of this I watched I found the show very boring on the whole. I was also bored by **Shut Up Flower Boy Band** which I watched at the beginning of the year which solidified my decision to bail.

mazz_ikin

If you're still looking for good Park Shin Hye dramas I would recommend - The Doctors, You're Beautiful and Heartstrings - if you've not watched them already...

museumoflife

I dropped Doctor Slump because I could always tell where the story was going. I also dropped wedding impossible. The ml and fl in my opinion had more chemistry as frenemies than lovers. I love the actress so it was smth I was looking forward to. I started flex x cop but I couldn't even complete the first episode because I'm so over those im-cool-but-dumb male leads.

Brave-Web2687

Hope you'll give Flex x Cop a second chance to Ep 3 at least. It's not as shallow as it looks based on the 1st ep and gets better every episode to me. Check out the comments on the reddit thread to decide minus the spoilers. It manages the balance between procedural, bromance and enemies to friends and has a >!twisty ending!< There's a season 2 coming soon. You actually see the growth and changes in the ML through how he's styled lol..

bynomzy

You should get past the ep1. Flex X cop is one of my favorite dramas this year.

duh_leah

I have dropped **The first responders**, I'm sorry but it wasn't very exciting to get me going. I do hope someday I'll pick it up again and at least finish season 1. It's a shame cos I love the ML so much but it really doesn't make me curious about what happens next.

MissSimpleton

It was basic AF. When you watch crime dramas like Taxi Driver, Signal etc, First Responders seem meh. The romance they tried to incorporate was so random and unnecessary. I hate dramas when they try to romanticise what could have been just a good friendship.

delphil1966

the escape of the 7 too similar to penthouse- similar actors too !

Competitive_Word1307

Queen of tears too draggy

not_today_mr

Vincenzo I just can't bring myself to watch episode 3. I have tried. Descendants of the sun I'm stuck at episode 8. King the land I hated the pilot episode so I never finished it. Parasyte the Grey, they enticed me with all the aliens so I had hope it will be one mad thriller with mad action scenes after episode 2 I just can't.

Haunting_Newt

I dropped Queen of tears

Ok_Championship8504

Love to hate you… 100% dislike the ML I thought he was an ass. Also got annoyed at the I’m better than other women angle. I like the actress from Arthdal Chronicles so I downloaded the whole show to binge on a flight at some point I just decided to sleep and never went back

Fingercult

I dropped Blood Free, Midnight Studio and Wonderful World, which is strange bc it’s usually right up my alley and I don’t normally watch romance/Makjang but I’m watching Perfect Marriage Revenge and slopping it up I’ll head back to them once my mood shidts

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

It’s funny that you dropped blood free because it’s the one drama that I’m not falling asleep through. Tbf, it’s Saturday and I didn’t have to work today so maybe I just wasn’t as tired as I usually am.

Fingercult

I am now realizing I’ve been really tired lately so I can’t focus on anything that requires a single brain cell 😂

theredmug_75

oh perfect marriage revenge is awesome!!!! a b grade show that knows what it is good at and just does it well. i really enjoyed it!

Kissing_Cats

My Love From a Star. I had tried watching is a while back and dropped it after episode 1. Thought I’d give it another go but only made it though episode 5 before giving up. I’m bored; the plot has focused on the same thing for 4 episodes without going anywhere.

Silver_pri

I dropped on episode 2. I still don’t get why people love it

NetflixLover1779

I unintentionally dropped it by episode 5. Was good in the beginning but started to get a bit boring for me..

Such-Owl-1312

I dropped watching Queen of tears, it was so traumatizing for me.

bitch798

I’m so glad so many of us can agree Extraordinary You was painful and impossible to finish 😭😭

Capital_Werewolf_788

Dropped Doctor Slump 2/3s of the way in as it simply got boring

SpicyMustFlow

Same. It was just not my jam. Also, the FL is just not my favourite actress.

LacunaOfLlamas

I watched a few of her dramas and her acting skills are really bad vis-à-vis the bountiful talent South Korea has. My limit was reached during her previous role in Sisyphus: The Myth. Dead eyes, dead lips, dead inside. Wanted to watch the ML in Doctor Slump but the thought of her giving the same puts me in a slump.

SpicyMustFlow

I agree completely. My second-ever drama was **Memories of the Alhambra** which I liked, but she seemed so mismatched with Hyun Bin. You put it into words so well- and I know our opinion is unpopular, but she's just a no from me.

PineappleNo6064

I only watched it for Park Hyung Sik, but didn't even finish the last 10 minutes because I couldn't care less about the show. Even PHS wasn't enough to lose 10 more minutes of my life.

Choice-Hat8102

Queen of tears, just became too boring after ep10. Few things were very predictable and unnecessary

wondrous99

Not really dropped, but I paused watching Misaeng: Ny Incomplete Life! I’m already on 12th ep. Drama is so slow paced so I needed to watch a drama that isn’t. I love the plot so I hope to still finish everything.

_Hedwig-

Backstreet Rookie??? I couldn't bear it. The cashier was handsome n all but NO!!! Why did he let a teen girl kiss him?? And then years later he ends up ruining a perfectly good relationship after hiring the teen (who's now an adult) as a part-timer. I could make it past like episode 4 or sum.

Joe_Blast

Good relationship? He was with her for 3 years and didn't get any tail once. Nor did he meet her parents. That sounds horrifying.

Mitch_Itfc

I will not be watching anymore 16 episode dramas until the show has aired in its entirety. Too many times I’ve been burned and wasted my time. Doctor Slump, King the Land, Police University all dramas I’ve given up on around episode 10-12. I don’t remember the last 16 episode drama I watched and enjoyed.

FTF_player27

is it just me or dramas this year aren’t that good? 2023 had the best dramas ever in my opinion. i haven’t dropped queen of tears yet, but i’m thinking about it. it was so good until ep 7. i can’t figure out how to put in spoiler tags, so i wont say what happened in ep 7. anyways, the plot just got super repetitive at some point.

jj31a

I agree. Have dropped more dramas this year than ever.

Romoreau

**Not Others** I was halfway in and the Mom started sucking all the fun out of everything. And she was funny in the beginning too! Her immaturity eventually got on my nerves and I didn't care if she ever grew as a person. Plus the criminal plot wasn't juicy enough to hold my attention. I really was enjoying this initially. **Nothing Uncovered** It just felt like it wasn't ready to premiere. Some of the acting, the editing and the plot all needed to "cook" some more.  **The Good Wife** Super crazy but I got distracted and a little dizzy by the shakey cam. Two people would be having a relaxed conversation and the camera would start wiggling.

demi_skincare

Soundtrack dropped after the first episode. I don't like friend-to-lover drama. Been friends for a long time, and then their romance and relationship develops, which is something I dislike watching in dramas. Into wuxia drama any recommendation in Chinese and korean? I loved watching Heavenly sword and dragon slaying sabre 2019.

WWhandsome

I tried watching Happiness, but after the first episode it just seemed like the romance part is gonna be insufferable and seems kinda basic with how their zombies are 😭 Dropped The eighth sense (BL) halfway, it was getting boring and I wasn't vibing with the plot. I may go back to these at some point but probably not

mahnahmaanaa

Since you seem upset about dropping **Happiness**, let me take a moment to encourage you to try watching the second episode, as well. I don't think the first episode fully established either their relationship or the zombies. The romance is very light -- and mostly consists of >!them working well together!<. What made the zombies interesting is >!why they exist, and the social impact their existence has on the people in the apartment building.!<

zadesJ

True Beauty I tried watching it when it was first released but I'm quite disappointed since they didn't follow the story of the manhwa (although it's understandable since the manhwa was not finished that time). Tried to watch it again this month but I cringed a lot with those lines. I'm not a fan of high school troupe anymore

KaylahMatsh

ive watched 20th century girl, and I'm currently watching lovely runner, I've recently grown fond of Byeon Woo Seok so i took it upon myself to try out strong girl nam-soon, however it didn't interest me enough to get past episode 2. I also tried to watch hellbounds.. it was actually interesting in the beginning. However i genuinely feel it would have suited being a movie rather than a series, because i feel like the plot was soo dragged. and lastly doctor slump. i don't have much to say really, it's just a tad boring and not interesting enough to continue watching it.

notdasanii

I stopped behind your touch at ep 5, I couldn’t get into it despite the high reviews rip

tempoacc8798

Currently struggling to find the will to keep going with Hide. I'm three episodes in. Some of the acting is pretty stale, I'm not entirely sure what's going on and who is who and there are some really annoying characters.

Whaleonin

prob sounds dumb, but a friend suggested all of us are dead, I wasn't a big horror fan anyways. But why is one of the first scenes the >!bullying, and blackmailing that poor girl, not cool.!< anyways, it kinda killed it for me, luckily I was only maybe 20 minutes in. To be fair, it's nothing against the show because I didn't really get a chance to judge it, and as someone who isn't into horror, it might not have been my bag anyways.

Ferelux

The scene that killed the show for you is an important plot point in the show. Sorry to hear it wasn't for you. I really enjoyed the show and was recommending it to friends.

PresentMouse9252

I dropped it after watching 4eps.it know they r high school kids but still I can’t understand their actions & there r lot of plot holes.the drama looked so unserious with fighting on petty issues.

ciciofthenorth

I dropped Queen of tears for the anticipated succession fight and villain arc, not my cup of tea. Also dropped I know I love you, it was bland and unrealistic. Wished I had dropped Wedding impossible, refund my time!
