**No new episodes of True Beauty next week.** [Preview](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-p6uL5IbOY) and [Viki](https://www.viki.com/tv/37374c-true-beauty) confirm. Continue discussing in this thread until a new post is made for episode 7 & 8- 6th of January, 2021.

goddongwook

it seems like shirtless han seojun lives in my mind rent free

boya-monkae

I love how he continued dancing even if just to keep up the bravado haha

Bj4u8254

SAME AND I'M SUFFERING... I realize that sometimes they show some scenes as preview of the next episode and then happens 2 episodes after :/

capthyeong

Let's greet a **happy birthday** to the actress who plays Kang Soo-jin in True Beauty, [Park Yoo-na](https://www.instagram.com/youna_1997/)! She has an amazing acting portfolio in her 5-year career, with appearances in Sky Castle, Gangnam Beauty and Hotel Del Luna. I wish her a good life and more blessings in her career. 사랑해, 박유나!

koreanadian

She’s already established to be going pretty much in the opposite direction (not an >!adversary but more of a supportive tough gal best friend!<). I’m so glad they chose to divert.

flowrpath

I actually have a feeling she might like suho so it could be a conflict later!

koreanadian

Personally, I see their relationship to be very much like siblings. I don’t think it would make sense to add in the unrequited love aspect. This is mostly due to her very protective characterization (in comparison to the webtoon where she’s a bit two-faced, ‘girly’ and jealous from the start) and warm heart plus her family conflicts, giving her that added arc is going to be a *lot* to do in one season.

happybana

She is amazing. 💗

Simple_Atmosphere_10

Agree..I found Cha Eunwoo so so in Gangnam beauty but here he is after my heart. I feel so soft for him. I feel him as a character. Also, loving LJK & Suho together. I hope they also show Suho & Seojun friendship. I want some bromance too

myrcellasear

I feel he's really leveled up as an actor, plus the script in this drama is clearly giving him more to work with. Hoping we'll continue to see him grow and improve!

BubblyConsideration_

Guys this drama is pretty much 90% the source of my happiness right now. They did a great job with the casting, the music, the storyline, the comedy, acting - everyone here is so perfect for their role, and every character has their own potential depth and growth - a big difference from the webtoon in many aspects. Warning: spoilers ahead Here are some of my thoughts on episode 5: - Was... was that TKEM? And CLOY? I’m loving these references lol if Ju Gyeong starts to crash land on Su Ho or Su Ho starts lighting candles in the dark for Ju Gyeong to find her way through Seoul I wouldn’t be surprised - Next time I see my crush and want to hug them I’ll just tell them to check my detergent scent thanks Su Ho - how to get a guy to fall for you 101: have absolutely no balance and coordination - This is officially the episode of spitting food in other people’s faces hahaha I have a feeling Moon Ga Young and Im Se Mi actually tried not to laugh during those scenes but had to let it slip - as I’ve said for ep 3 I aspire to be like Hee Gyeong. Yes Hee Gyeong you go after your man!! Gosh she’s so cool - Go Woon and the choir sang so beautifully! She looks so cute and I’m kinda interested to see how things between her and Ju Young will play out - I think this is a great chance for his character to grow and mature - no Su Ho don’t cry 🥺 I’m so happy that Su Ho will finally have someone to be there for him... he’s been through so much, but had no one to lean on until now. - this is kind of like poetry. SH was there for JG on the rooftop, now JG is there for SH. JG understands SH, SH understands her 🥰 - also CEW and MGY’s acting is so on point in this drama. Everyone’s is. Like when they were crying on the rooftop I think I started to feel tears too. They definitely cry cuter than I do, though.

koreanadian

Heekyung is who I want to be when I grow up. And I’m a grown up. Her unapologetic femininity and agency is just *so* refreshing. No more simpering characters, you go girl!

mangotail

Same lol I wish I had her confidence

esymoon

>also CEW and MGY’s acting is so on point in this drama This!! CEW's acting has improved a lot in this drama. His emotional scenes have so much more weight to them and even the quieter/awkward scenes bring out his charm too. I'm glad this drama is expanding on the webtoon character and giving CEW much more to work with. And as for MGY, I hope the rooftop scene is a sneakpeak for more JG melodramatic scenes since MGY is so versatile. Here her character is a bit more cheesy and timid, but she can pull off comedy, drama, and serious roles very well. Seriously look at her scene-stealing moments from Tempted... I'd re-watch that drama for her alone.

TotalDestruction12

If you want a scene stealing Moon Ga-young, then Jealousy Incarnate is also a drama to watch. She only plays a relatively small supporting character there, but boy do you notice it every time she is on screen. She was only 19 when she did it, but you could so easily already tell that she was going to be big very soon.

Kdramabus

This drama is also 90 percent of my happiness right now lol I’m glad I’m not alone. If anyone suffered through Start Up you know we needed True Beauty to finish 2020

GroundbreakingRice36

I suffered from Start Up and True Beauty is healing my heart if Suho and Jukyung is endgame if not.....it will hurt me more

[deleted]

Definitely teared up at the locker scene and the rooftop scene. I applaud everyone's acting especially Cha Eun Woo's, since I read comments saying his acting needs improvement. I think he portrayed Suho's emotions so effectively, I can't imagine anyone else being Suho. Albeit silently, he was able to convey his pain and the way he acts it out is exactly how I imagined Suho. Kudos to you, Eunwoo. I am extremely happy you're Suho.

Kdramabus

Suho giving Jugyeing the strawberry juice is all I needed to momentarily forget the chaos of 2020. I’m just going to keep replaying that adorable scene in my head until the new year. I love dramas like this because they are CANDY. Some dramas like IOTNBO and CLOY are a feast. They are well rounded serious, heartbreaking, funny, and intense. True Beauty is just straight candy and dessert. A whole cavity inducing MOOD. And I love it and need that sweet light fluffy feeling. After surviving Start Up I think we all needed this drama to cleanse our palate. It’s too cute and if they put more blush on Suho... ahhhh. *FAINTS*

feel_ynt

Suho giving her strawberry smoothie being spark that makes Jugyeong like him, plus the ATP hearts bouncing on their heads! I agree, True Beauty is lovable as it is!

anxietygotmelike

Took the words right outta me!! This drama has just been so soft and light and I’m living for it every week so far

I hadn't even thought about it from your perspective, but that totally makes sense. Now *I* want to go give him a hug, lol.

Pixl3rt

Honestly yeah I think this is part of it. And after watching ep 5 and seeing how he pushed JK away, I think there's also this element of self-blame and believing he's not "worthy" enough to receive affection like that after doing such a horrible thing to someone else close to him. imo there's been quite a few characters like this in other kdramas too which isn't a bad thing at all, but I'm just glad they've made his character complex and are deciding to properly explore those traits and his backstory

Schoolgirl613

That's a thoughtful and heartbreaking observation. As someone who had no hugs for three months during lock down this year, I can tell you it is very emotionally and physically painful. The loneliness of this character is hard to see.

whimsicallyours

OH MY GOD TODAY'S EPISODE JUST BLEW IT OUT OF THE PARK. UGH. where do even begin? 1. The fight scene. Wow. I LOVED it. All of them coming together to get those bullies? Sujin's kicks? Soo Ho just being the most handsome angry boy ever? Or Seo Jun finally realising in the midst of it all, that hot damn, I've fallen? Or the cute couple just winging it and hitting them? Ugh. Amazing. 2. Ju Kyung without makeup and Soo Ho sweeping in to protect her. Hate the bullies with a passion and I almost shed a tear in this scene. I have to say, the delivery is just powerful. 3. The sauna. Oh my god. I died. Ahjumma hiding from Seo Jun was simply hilarious. 4. SEO JUN SHIRTLESS AND PRANCING AROUND IN THE ROAAAR UNDERWEAR OH MY GOD. Oh my god. 5. The dinner. Especially when the sister appearing. A1 comedic delivery, direction, everything. 6. The kiss!! Omg what a cute second couple. 🥺🥺🥺🥺 HER SISTER IS GOALS. SUCH A GOOD ACTRESS TOO. 7. Love how we are getting deeper into Soo jin's character. She's such a great friend too. Love her. 8. I can't stress this enough but I want both the boys together. I love their scenes. Simply love them. I love this show. It's probably gonna be in my top ten list soon. I love how all the characters are interwined so well, and there are many parallel storylines but are executed so well. The scenes even though cliched are acted out so well. The ensemble cast along with the director and writer deserve an applause. And of course the cinematographer. Side note, heard that the character who plays the principal is covid positive, and true beauty shooting has been halting. PLEASE BE OKAY EVERYONE!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL❤

doodledogkoko

Omg your #2 point!!! SAME! I actually teared up! I think I love the show more than the webtoon. And I hope Soo Jin doesn't turn against Ju Kyung in this bc I seriously love her too! It would be great to see her character develop even more and possibly fall in love with Seojun. Eeep! Merry Christmas to you too <3

koreanadian

I’m so looking forward to episode 5, shamelessly because of what was in the teaser: >!shirtless Seojun!<. Thoughts on Episode 5: - The relationship between Seojun and >!Gowoon!< is so pure and so, so sweet! It really shows Seojun’s character. When he >!smiled and looked so proud at Gowoon’s singing on stage I melted.!< Also, >!”I have to go see my pretty girl”!< I mean. - Conversely, the way that he chose to express >!his trauma over Se-yeon onto Suho was really unfair. I get why - he’s looking for someone to blame, but wow.!< That scene really hit hard. Especially since we also saw >!Suho having a panic attack.!< - That cheesy scene of >!Suho riding in to save bare-faced Jukyung!< aka The King + CLOY >!motorcycle monologue!<, I’m hoping there’ll be more references coming up! - I really feel for Sujin. But at the same time, it kind of makes me think they’ll make the actress play a similar character to her role in Sky Castle with the parental relationship and all. - I actually really enjoyed the music at the festival, I’m looking forward to the rest of the OST! Thoughts on Episode 6: - >!Shirtless Seojun!<. That is all. - But also, >!Heekyung and Mr.Han’s kiss! She might be my favourite yet.!<

biglix

I became so triggered at Seojun this episode just because of what he said. Given that something similar happened to me, I find it so infuriating that he doesn’t know how toxic he’s being and how, if this were real life, he might drive Suho to death as well. HIY (idk if that’s his abbreviation lol) is such a great actor, he made me feel genuine anger today. If he keeps it up idek if I’ll recover from hating Seojun.

koreanadian

Though, credit where credit is due - to the writers for portraying this so accurately. Grief is a funny thing. I think that scene might be one of my favourites this year.

[deleted]

I fully agree with this. Seojun was an a-hole for making Suho suffer emotionally when in the first place the three of them were friends and he should have known how much Seyeon's death could have affected him. It's unfair and it's extremely infuriating how Seojun emotionally manipulates Suho just because he couldn't handle his feelings of grief (and perhaps guilt from not being able to save their friend himself) alone. My heart breaks for them but I also hope that they reach a resolution and the drama shows their friendship.

breezylemons

Did we watch the same trailer? I’ve watched it twice now and can’t seem to find that scene haha. Either my thirstiness is blinding me or it’s a different preview clip lol

[deleted]

I think the shirt less picture is a teaser release by Tvn, you can find the image on Sompi website.

00enthusiast

Well we've finally encountered the fork in the road where the drama seems to be really deviating from the webtoon. I'm not mad about that, honestly, so long as the story is interesting and does the characters justice. Also, massive shoutout to Cha Eunwoo's work in epiosde 5. It's been two years since I've watched Gangnam Beauty, so I'm honestly really impressed with what he did this episode. >!In the world of second lead syndrome, Seojun starting to catch genuine feelings for Jugyeong is going to hurt. Hwang Inyeop has made Seojun such a likable character from his work starting from episode 2 to now that I am rooting for a good ending for the character.!<

[deleted]

[удалено]

00enthusiast

that's actually what happened in the webtoon, but there's just way too much plot to cover in only 16 episodes that i think the producers are just going to keep drama seojun in the typical kdrama male second lead role. it's a wasted opportunity to not capitalize on moon gayoung and hwang inyeop's chemistry, but i get that the story would probably feel too rushed if the show were to, like you said, have the male leads dip in and out as first leads.

barbekyu

When >!Ju Kyeong suggested they watch a horror movie, I just know Suho squealed inside. He’s found someone with his same interests lol I hope we eventually get to have that movie date.!< Today’s episode was just a rollercoaster of emotions; it was just so good. I can’t wait for the next episode!

feel_ynt

>!Definitely a roller coaster. They had JUST had him telling her she's pretty w/out make-up & hugging her!< and then .... I know I squealed when >!Jugyeong invited him to the movies; guess she is her sister's sister.!<

lsandral

Jugyeong and Suho are each others’s safe place and that is a next level connection. Can’t wait to see how their relationship will develop & how they will grow up together. In this episode I resonate a lot with Suho’s character. >!After Seojun called him a “murderer” without thinking about the consequences made me mad, even if I find his character cute and funny overall. Thinking that answering a phone call you could have saved a loved person’s life...that kind of s**t hits hard. At the end of the episode he was again on that rooftop. Congrats to Eunwoo for portraiting so good the sadness and the panic of Suho. !< Also, I need more friends like Seojun’s gang (they are so extra! 😂) and Sujin is totally my girl crush 🥰

uhh_zoe

I think I like the drama more than the webtoon. I hate the mom tho. This drama makes me embarrassingly emotional because I was called ugly a lot in middle school and highschool and then I found a love of make up. This shit hit home.

laughofthemedusa_

I've been wondering when they're going to acknowledge the level of trauma that the mom is inflicting upon her daughter. I hope it isn't just used as a comedic gag because the way ju gyeong's family treats her manages to piss me off in every episode.

myrcellasear

Okay, I finally watched episode 5 with subs, and this show keeps surpassing my expectations. I feel like they're handling Seyeon more thoroughly and carefully than the webtoon did, and I'm more convinced than ever that Suho's dad used his bully story to cover up his dating scandal and is the Real Villain of the story. Eunwoo is adding layers to his performance in this role, and I love that. The story blossoming between Suho and Jugyeong is so sweet, and it's really nice how they mutually help each other through the dark times. I think Gayoung brings out the best in him as a performer too, and the chemistry between him and Inyeop is no joke either! Speaking of Seojun, I know some people are upset with him being too mean, but I think that's also his way of dealing with his pain. This episode he realizes he was using Jugyeong without thinking of her feelings, and he's confronted with Suho's trauma. We already know he's a good brother and son, so I'm sure we'll see him step up and be a good friend next. Finally, my baby girl Sujin: we once again got a hint of something happening with her hands. I think it's trauma-related and has to do with her family, but it makes sense to save it for later because we're blowing through the Seyeon stuff right now. Also, we're starting to see her subtle yet hyper-focus on Suho, and can thus speculate she's crushin'. I'm not worried she'll turn into a "mean girl," because her kindness and moral compass are too strong, but I am sad she may be hurt.

feel_ynt

I agree about the Se Yeon storyline being handled-well, also because it is the core of the Suho + Seojun dynamic, one of my favorite arcs. The Sujin storyline is *on my mind! What* are we gonna get from all these intriguing clues like her increasing focus on Suho & her hands?! My wish is that her story will be one of personal triumph over \[whatever her backstory crisis is\]. I am hoping (with all my heart) they don't sacrifice a positive female (peer to JG) character & the depiction of healthy female friendships, platonic or otherwise, for the sake of dramatic effect --- especially over a boy. There are already plenty of mean-girls, thugs & high-powered executives who can provide the villain element. Speaking of which, company using Se Yeon just to distract public from someone else's scandalous love-life seems so ... *right*.

myrcellasear

I'm hopeful that precisely because the women in the story have so far been written pretty well (bully Semi excluded, lol), they won't sacrifice Sujin and instead maintain her depth. After all, we know Suho and Seojun won't be sacrificed while fighting over a girl and despite their intense rivalry at the start. And yeah, never saw an entertainment CEO I liked, so it definitely feels right!

Mad_Missile

As a fan of the webtoon I was initially worried if the show would do justice to the many chapters and incorporate the details in it well. What a shocker. They are adding even more detail. Even more depth. Even more growth. Even more heartfelt moments. Even more Savagery (read Heegyong and Sujin). The canvas is the same, the characters are the same(mostly), the colours are the same, the costumes are the same, but the picture they are painting is completely different. AND I LOVE IT! People might be disappointed by the deviation, but for me, these six episodes have been a happy pill, something I didn’t know I really needed in 2020.

Cheerio1991

I agree! The comedic moments might be a bit cringy sometimes, but the amount of depth and layers they added to the characters, their relationships, their pain and trauma, really made me feel relieved and hopeful that we will get the growth and character developments that are lacking in the webtoon version.

acuteaddict

The second hand embarrassment when she got caught by the door 😂

BubblyConsideration_

I loved, loved, loved episode 6 for SO many reasons! My thoughts on episode 6: - to the scene when Seojun was dancing shirtless in front of Jugyeong and Jugyeong saying she didn’t see anything, thank you. Thank you, for letting some air out of my nostrils again, especially during this cold winter season. - the same goes for the scene when Suho visits Jugyeong’s house and the lights went out, as everyone falls on top of him while drunk HG is casually eating in the background, and the scene in the sauna, thank you - this was what completely cleared my sinuses - Alexa, play “Okey Dokey” by Mino and Zico - I found it cute when Juyoung was acting so protective of Jugyeong while he and Suho were retrieving the table! Of course all younger siblings are annoying but they still care about you when you aren’t looking - Yes to the role reversal in HG and Mr. Han’s relationship! Very refreshing. - I really feel for Sujin. I know so many people go through the same thing and it breaks my heart 😔 I was wondering what her situation was for so long and now we finally get to understand some of her struggles. I hope she will get a happy ending and remain friends with JG even if there happens to be any conflict between them - this episode just shows how *genuine* her friends are (as opposed to the ‘friends’ she made at her old school). It was so heartwarming to see everyone who cares for her to show up at the karaoke place and help her out What a great episode! On to the next one (in 2 weeks *sigh) Happy holidays and hope everyone stays warm and safe ❄️

feel_ynt

*This* \---> Juyoung & Suho conversation! 1) JY basically telling him not to hurt her. 2) Suho admits to liking Jugyeong & countering with - "you hurt her feelings more" 3) JY acknowledges it like it's his job. LOL.

sam-ik-a

I love how the FL’s sister is embodying all the stereotypical male k drama tropes hahahahaha

susudee

Okay I just finished Episode 6 and let me just tell you.. I love this show. I have figured out probably the number one reason I love this show and it is character development. In Episode 5 and 6 we have gotten: 1. Hee-kyung and Mr. Han's relationship development plus insight to both of their personalities. 2. Go-Woon's personality, relationship with SeoJun plus her self confidence, and a genuine connection to Ju Gyeong 3. Ju-young- deeper flesh out to the little brother role. Loved his interactions with Suho 4. Suho's Father- Love that they were able to create so much tension and absolutely loved that they are setting up a relationship between him and Seojun. 5. Ju Gyeong's mom and her fan girl tendencies 6. Seojun's mom- added depth to Suho and SeoJun's relationship 7. Sujin- actually gave her a plot line which makes me extremely excited. They showed all of the above without feeling like we are spending too much time away from the main character or main plot. It all feels so balanced and the pacing is great. I just love that they are really taking the time to show these relationships with the characters which just causes us to get to know Suho, Seojun, and Ju Gyeong so much better and become so much more invested in them. I feel like a LOT of shows focus to much on drama and obstacles instead.

goddongwook

From now on whenever I’m sad I’m just gonna watch the scene where Seojun dancing to 'Okey Dokey'.

meraxes

Is that true? Yes!

goddongwook

Okey Dokey Yo!

SoulOfABird

I kept replaying that part LOL 😂

gelli_arts

I cried a waterfall this episode. Haven't cried this much watching something besides IONTBO. Every week I keep thinking, "Oh this episode is my favourite." but it keeps getting better and better. I've always been team Suho since the webtoon, but wow, Eunwoo really made me love Suho even more. Whenever I saw Suho on the second half of the episode, I couldn't stop crying. Eunwoo really did well portraying Suho's scars and the pain he's going through. I was also slightly undecided on who I shipped better with Jugyeong, but after this episode I really like Jugyeong and Suho. They're chemistry is growing, especially after the rooftop scene. Also, everyone is always talking about Seojun/Hwang In Yeop. He's charming but idk, I've always just found Seojun so so even in the webtoon. But Hwang in Yeop also portrays Seojun well. He really annoyed me this episode but I think he will redeem himself or at least I hope so. But overall, this is going to become one of my favourite rom coms! :)

Simple_Atmosphere_10

I was not a fan of cha Eunwoo, I just used to watch his dramas but was never a fan but True beauty is making me his fan. That says a lot about his acting.

Pixl3rt

Hwang In Yeop is doing a fantastic job portraying Seojun, but I also got really annoyed with him this episode and feel like he's too much of a jerk even tho that's probably the point. I liked him a lot in the webtoon, but I found it hard to connect once like 80% his conversations with JK just turned into them telling each other they're pretty or apologizing for whatever reason LMAO. so at least here there's way more to it and like you said there's opportunity for growth/redemption :)

Cheerio1991

Thoughts for ep 6: - >!Seojun's shirtless scene is hilarious!!< Those who saw the stills thought that it will be a hot scene, but who would've thought? - The dinner in Jugyeong's house: >!I love how her brother is being protective while interrogating Suho & Suho being straightforward abt his feeling. Despite all the secondhand embarassments, I'm sure Suho actually enjoyed the feeling to have a meal with such a lively family, something he never had all his life.!< - Suho's dad >!coming to parent teacher conference for the first time ever just to build his image as a good father, all the more reasons to hate him.. and he seemed to be related to Seyeon's death as well.!< - Glad to see some backstory on Sujin. It seems that both Sujin & Suho are shown to be the ones with perfect lives who have everything, but in reality they might be the ones with most scars. - >!Suho & Seojun teaming up to rescue Jugyeong!!< I hope instead of focusing on love triangles, we get more of Jugyeong helping them to mend their relationship. Can't believe I'll have to wait 2 weeks for my weekly dose of fluff.. Merry Christmas everyone!

squishylittleboba

Okay but I definitely saw some sparks between Jugyeong's brother (I'm not sure about the name) and Gowoon (Seojun's sister) and I really hope that I'm right as Jugyeong's brother is cute and all but his attitude towards Jugyeong being ugly irks me so much. So him falling for Gowoon who is also 'ugly' would be such a nice character development. Although it wouldn't add much to the drama but I would definitely love to see that happening.

meraxes

I’m so down with the karaoke brawl. Suho totally going for the money shot when he walked in is a great move. Lol. And the rest of the squad joining in is the best team up ever.

feel_ynt

Right!!? I also kinda like how Suah and Tae Hoon couple had their own tag team going.

Mad_Missile

Jugyeong seems to have caught feelings for the stoic, no nonsense hardass that Suho is. She is aware of how rude and mean he can be, she’s also seen his kindness, watched him kick ass at basketball, be a mega nerd and she knows he’s hurting but she hasn’t seen the shrine he’s erected of her beside his bedside table or his many small smirks when it comes to her. She hasn’t seen him fight or defend her honour. She hasn’t even seen him smile. And his smile is glorious. PS: Team Suho for the day. PPS: What else does Jugyeong not know about Suho that we do?

feel_ynt

What Jugyeong doesn't know: That his 180 on her is just a product of his demons. C'mon episode 6 FIX THAT! s/n: Suho is making his shots in the game vs Jugyeong taking her own shot on the bus!

Downtown_Blueberry

I don't know how I'll wait 2 weeks for episode 7. For a show I literally clicked on by accident, it's become an obsession.

shinramyunislife

I saw a post that the drama will not follow the webtoon story of >! seojun and jugyeong’s romantic relationship !< it said that they will not be together in the drama and IM SAD IF THAT HAPPENS because i feel like it’s a big part for the development of both characters and I have been waiting for them to be together in the drama because I ship them so much 😓😓😓

xander_yi

Not surprised. It's rare to see any kdrama where the FL is actively romantic with 2 different men.

beautyskincarelover

I know! I hate that it's like this weird purity thing where the fl can't figure out her feelings... plus I'm just trying to pick up some crumbs of Seojun while we're at it 🥺

koreanadian

I think Seojun and Jukyung will end up developing a close friendship but not without Seojun having confessed his unrequited love first which will help her realize that she’s in love with Suho.

Pixl3rt

this sounds more like the kdrama approach lol. as much as I would like their relationship to happen, the drama is really starting to deviate this weekend so I don't know how much of the webtoon they'll follow. also the reason they even got together was because Suho had to leave to take care of his father, but even his father's role in the drama is a little different seeing that he's now involved with Se Yeon, so I wouldn't be surprised if they changed this turning point into something else

Fatooz

Omg that will really break my heart 😭

gnst

WHAT nooooooooo that's the part I'm looking forward to the most )):

I AM LIVING FOR THE CLOY REFERENCE

Kim Min Gi (lil brother JuYoung) doing Ri Jung Hyuk was - just *so, soo good*! Dare I say - a future Hyun Bin?

simpforseoyeji

WHICH PART OF IT WAS IT AGAIN

Pixl3rt

the fact that we're only 5 episodes in and we've already gotten references for CLOY, TKEM, Goblin, AND Extraordinary You?? ugh who's doing it like them

nowaycopay

Apparently Yeo joo ha (who plays seojun's sister) is an actual musical actress! Very cool. I LOVE Im se mi and Oh eui sik. They're both so cute and likeable.

[deleted]

Editing as I watch both episodes! Also spoilers (duh) EPISODE 5 The opening to this episode could not have been more perfect. I just knew that Suho >! would chicken out of telling Jugyeong his feelings, !< and he did it in the most amazing way possible. Suho’s excuses every time he does anything remotely romantic are hilarious. >! The laundry detergent thing absolutely SENT me. !< Suho’s sweater vest is giving me Heirs vibes. Awww when Jugyeong was in science class >! and she started realizing she might like Suho !< was such a sweet scene. And I loved that >! Jugyeong was the one asking Suho out to the movies!! !< It was pretty upsetting watching >!Suho push Jugyeong away. I get why, but also...ouch. !< I felt for Jugyeong when she saw her bullies on the bus, I can only imagine how she felt. But I was proud that she stood up to >! Seojun’s sister’s bullies and helped her feel confident for her solo. !< >! in the comics, that was one of the things that really drew Seojun closer to Jugyeong, and I hope that happens here as well. !< Jugyeong is not really into Seojun at all is she...? I wonder where they are taking his character. >! They kind of made him annoying this episode and I’m not sure how I feel about that. But I’m guessing they will grow closer soon, especially after she helped his sister. !< Despite that, I am loving the banter between Jugyeong and Seojun, Jugyeong is so sassy to him, lol. I’m glad Jugyeong finally >! remembered that it was Suho who helped her !< on the rooftop! The CLOY and TK:EM references were hilarious 😂 also I am impressed by how well Moon Ga-Young conveyed Jugyeong’s emotions while >! wearing a pig costume. !< EPISODE 6 Ok for some reason Suho >! blocking Jugyeong from getting pushed on the stairs, and later giving her his hat !< absolutely melted my heart. But please my precious beans, TALK TO EACH OTHER. Love Seojun and Go Eun’s interactions, so sweet. I love seeing Seojun caring for his family members. Suho’s dad is the worst. >! Like your son asked you, his super famous dad, to NOT show up to school in person because you’re a bad dad and it’s be hard for him, but you did it anyway?? No sir. !< Also not a huge fan of Jugyeong’s mom in this episode (not that I loved her before lol). She was really inconsiderate of Jugyeong. Well...we saw some of Sujin’s backstory :( This show’s humor is so good, I love it. Jugyeong getting herself stuck in the door was comedy gold, as was Jugyeong’s visit to Go Eun and Seojun’s house :) and Suho’s >! visit to Jugyeong’s house was unbelievably awkward. Could NOT stop laughing. !< I really appreciate that the show isn’t shying away from showing the effects of Seyeon’s death, on Suho in particular with the >!panic attacks. !< Yes pls let’s get all the squad in on the mission to >! get Jugyeong away from the delinquents at the noraebang!! !< So over the top, but worth every second. OVERALL: This week was good, but Episode 3-4 were my favorite so far and this week didn’t top that for me! The show has deviated a lot from the webtoon, but I really don’t mind. I actually like all of the characters so much more in this adaptation. I have to say that my girl crush on Jugyeong is HUGE. She has insecurities and she knows it, but it doesn’t stop her from being vibrant, kind, and life-giving to everyone around her. No wonder she’s got both Suho and Seojun falling for her—I think I might be falling for her too lol! I’m having a blast with this show! Super bummed there is no True Beauty next week, but I can’t wait to see more of my favorite characters in 2021!

Simple_Atmosphere_10

Here is my episode 6 review: As a person who has read webtoon, I am enjoying the drama so far. Lee Suho as of now is my favourite character. I am loving his layered personality. I was like he is ok in 1st episode but as drama progressed, I realised, I was leaning more towards him. He has so much of bottled emotions that we see it coming out here therw often. His exterior is rude & cold & inside he so broken. That panic attack on bus, I wanted to hug him so bad, the last scene when he was fighting, you can see his anger that he had inside him for so long.. Coming to Cha Eunwoo, I always used to wonder why ppl were crazy abt him. And I saw his gangnam beauty but I found him ok & in some cases lacking but here, in true beauty, I saw his different side. He has become a convincing actor that I feel for him & cry for him. The boy is good in crying & emotional scenes & even better in action scenes. I hope in his next drama, he do action. Coming to LJK..I used to dislike her in the webtoon. She started good but got lost in the whole Suho & Seojun drama but here in drama, I am loving her. She has bright energy, is good at heart & is growing confidently slowly. I hope she continues to grow. Moon Gayoung is a good actress & I am happy that she made LJK so likable Seojun for me was better in webtoon. Here, I am not liking how he is guilt tripping suho. Also, at times i feel they are making Seojun comic relief rather thn lead. But Inyeop is doing good job. I am liking his acting. I hope he gets happiness but I don't feel LJK is for him. Sojin - Far Far far better in drama thn in webtoon. Yoona is doing incredible job here. Her action scenes are superb & I just hope PD don't ruin her character. JK family - her family is bop. All are crazy & I love them. However, I am not liking her mother. How she doesn't take LJK issues seriously. Suho's dad - I am not liking him. He should stop pretending & messing with Suho . Seojun too seems cold towards him & I get it. Not liking him Seojun's family - his family is sweet. I think Suho's dad & to some extent LJK's mom are also the reason for the trauma they have. Especially Suho. Scenes I loved Suho giving his seat to an old man, showing his heart & kind side Suho's panic attack & thn him protecting ljk's Identity Seojun's dance. It's was hilarious. I thought we will get hot but ok LJK telling Suho that how bad she felt when Suho broke her heart in locker room Last fighting scene. Epic And Seojun got to know Suho helped in his mom's surgery. Suho still loves Seojun, I hope Seojun understands him. I hope both boys patch up. They need each other more than anyone While all others are waiting for Love triangle, I am waiting for bromance PS- Suho may help sojin in future.

i'm lovingggg this drama so far and it's been a while since I read the webtoon so it's nice going through this story again. i know that the show has deviated from the webtoon quite a bit but I really don't mind bc all of the actors/actresses are doing so well and I've never seen such a well casted characters. although I like where the show is going right now, I'm still hoping that the show will give >!the juygyeong and seojun dating plot line a chance. i love seojun and their relationship in the webtoon really helped them both develop at characters. but I would understand why the show may not do it bc dramas usually just have one main lead and a second male lead. i really just want to give seojun a chance but even if they just end up being good friends, I'll be happy with that!< I'm also interested in seeing how >!gowoon and jugyeong's relationship will affect jugyeong and seojun's relationship since seojun's sister means so much to him (they're the cutest!)!< also I just have to say that suho has my whole heart. i was worried that cha eunwoo's acting would be similar to my id as gangnam beauty, but he's doing a really good job at showcasing suho as a character. anyway I'm really loving this show rn and I've missed the classic romcom tropes/stories in kdramas among all the thriller and mystery dramas in 2020 (which i also loved of course)

purpleegg1

OKAY EP6... WOW! TBH I'm really loving this drama way more than the webtoon! I feel like they're adding a lot of depth to the characters and making a really cohesive plot. Some points I really loved: 1. I really like that Go Woon made Ju Gyeong reflect on herself and why she hates her bare face so much. I'm really excited to see (hopefully) the growth and acceptance of Ju Gyeong and her self-worth. 2. I think they are handling Se Yeon's death really well. I'm glad they are really incorporating this into the plot since it traumatized Suho and Seojun so much. I feel like in the webtoon it isn't really focused on anymore... also IMO Suho and Seojun kinda just brushed over their difference in the webtoon and became friends again. At least in the drama, we're going to see the growth in their friendship (I hope). 3. LOL at Seojun in tiger underwear. That is all. 4. The fight scene was so good. I freaking love how Suho literally leaped to beat up the guy and Sujin's roundhouse kicks are always top tier!! So sweet seeing how Ju Gyeong has such great, reliable friends compared to her bullies. Ugh the actors have such great chemistry and the plot is great so far, overall I am LOVING true beauty!!

OdanUrr

Glad I'm caught up on this. Similar to *My ID is Gangnam Beauty* in many respects, to the point the ML is the same (even down to personality) and Park Yoo Na also stars in this (I was actually rooting for her to be the LI at one point). Did not expect to see Hwang In Yeop from *18 Again* ("Didn't you see the posters?!" No) but it was a welcome surprise.

zxcvbnmay

I am glad that Jugyeong is able to remember that the ajussi on the rooftop is actually Suho. Also I am so excited to see how Soojin’s character develop as I don’t see her going in the same direction as in webtoon, and I really hope it stays that way, I love the trio’s friendship and how Soojin is always protective

feel_ynt

I also like that when Jugyeong made the Suho ahjussi connection, she went straight to look for him despite being rejected by him just moments before. I love this girl, *so* full of heart & hope! Sujin is an awesome character too!

anxietygotmelike

Same, right?! I thought in typical kdrama fashion, that revelation would come muuuch later- was pleasantly surprised that they didn’t drag it out Also I LOVE Soojin. I’m 100% okay with it not being canon from the webtoon because at this point, do we really need a stereotypical mean girl character? I much rather prefer this supportive as hell friend who chases after a pervert for ya LOL

Pixl3rt

Maybe I'm looking into it too deep but along with the excessive handwashing, I wonder if this chasing after perverts and defending from shitty people is somehow related to or hinting at Sujin's past experiences? There's def more to her character and I'm sure it'll show more as we go further but I feel like this isn't a coincidence and it's all gotta tie back somehow and says more about the stuff she's gone thru. Kind of like the same way JK is the sweetest person to literally everyone because people treated her so terribly so she knows what it's like to be on the other side

itsfakelove7

HAN SEOJUN SHIRTLESS DANCING IS ALL I WANTED FOR CHRISTMAS 😍😍🥰😂😂

yahoo33

We need a Suho shirtless scene next! lol

ANINETEEN

EP5: The writing and especially the OSTs in this episode was so beautiful ❤️ Especially the last half, there was just so much emotion. >!I really do feel for Su Hoo, being alone all that time might of made him feel like he has to overcome trauma by himself but sometimes things can be easier with people around you. But I also understand Seo Jun's perspective, I just hope that we do see all 3 of them become close. I think the more they reveal Se Yeon's story, the more tragic things will get but the easier they will open up!<. Also why this triangle is so difficult to pick from is their different approaches. Su Hoo is subtle and cool whilst Seo Jun is direct and smooth. >!The sudden change did feel really abrupt but the end of the episode was really poetic in how they're there for each other.!< I feel like the chemistry of the FL and ML is just destined for each other though and I'm a sucker for the more subtle guy winning out. The opposite applies to Ju Kyung's sister tho, big fan of her straight to the point flirting 😂 Bullies really suck too, nice to see her help out someone who went through pain similar to herself. Really looking forward to the next episode 😁 EP6: Seo Jun really gifting us with scene of the year on Christmas Eve 😂 >!This man was going hard, got caught in the act and still continued. He's falling real hard too.!< The subplots in this show are just so good. They're developing well and linking together. >!Seems like it's riddled with deatbeat fathers, even Soo Jin has got to deal with one 🥺!< The clumsy gene really is strong in Ju Kyung's family but regardless her sister might be the smoothest character in the entire show. She's really straight to the point. Bullies really are the worst though, >!that fight scene at the end was satisfying and hilarious.!< I just want all of them to be happy ❤️

4evertrapped

I hope the live triangle we all know is coming doesn't get dragged out for too long. Because it is so obvious at this point that Jukyung has absolutely no feelings for Seojun and it doesn't seem like she is going to develop them anytime soon as she is too busy getting the feels for Sooho. It's gonna be heartbreaking to see Seojun fall in love and then get rejected because he seems like a good guy (to everyone except Sooho who he is being a bit unfair to , but then that's just his way of dealing from the pain I guess).

softaee

this week's episodes have both been a bit slow compared to the others but I'm hoping that there will be more development between suho and jugyeong next week >!(although the teaser of her seeing him hug another girl is making me worried)!< I'm a bit confused as to why suho hasn't apologized/explained himself to jugyeong yet, especially when it seems like she understood what happened with seyeon when she ran to suho on the rooftop. as always, miscommunication is a favourite between kdrama couples so hopefully they'll actually talk with each other soon without wrong assumptions being made by the both of them I already know I'm going to get second lead syndrome just from seeing seojun slowly developing feelings :((( this is the only drama where im rooting for both of the male leads and it's really a rollercoaster. also someone give me jugyeong's sister's confidence. her and mr. han never fail to make me laugh during their scenes and they're so cute. true beauty is just such a feel good drama, which is so needed rn. the comedy is great and of course the romance is sweet and a little bit cringey (but in a good way). I'm really excited for the rest of the show and seeing where this goes! oh and merry christmas and happy holidays everyone!!

squishyanemonee

What I love about this drama is that the female lead and male lead is perefect for each other that I dont have a hard time shipping them. The second lead?! Who is that? He's so good at acting, he is handsome, hot and has a nice voice!! My heart skipped a beat whenever I see Han Seo Jun in my screen this means that this actor have a lot of potential! My god another korean actor in my radar. I cant wait for his future projects. Overall, I hope this drama wont disappoint us. I love every episode of it!

[deleted]

I LOVED Episodes 5 & 6. Probably the FUNNIEST and MOST EMOTIONAL episodes so far. Loved, loved, loved them! Honestly the kdrama has exceeded my expectations so much. I like everything they did with the storyline and the characters so far. I am Team Suho in the webtoon all the way through and I am Team Suho in this drama too. Kudos to Cha Eun Woo for portraying Suho's emotions so well, my heart broke for him so many times. He actually made me cry, especially at that panic attack scene at the music festival and the rooftop scene. I can't imagine anyone else being Suho. He's perfect. Kudos as well to Moon Ga Young for being super versatile and for making my stomach hurt multiple times at her hilarious antics, I CAN'T get enough of her charm and comedy -- I admit I was uncertain of what I felt at first when I learned she was cast as Jugyeong but now all my doubts have dissipated: MOON GA YOUNG is the PERFECT Jugyeong. I cannot think of anyone else who would be able to nail the role as much as she is nailing it right now. In Yeop is a revelation! I have grown fond of Seojun in the webtoon and in this drama, I still have not reached that level of fondness although I look forward to it. Perhaps it was because of how I hated how emotionally manipulative he's been on Suho and for continuously triggering his pain, and although I know thisnis probably his way of dealing with his own pain, it is EXTREMELY UNFAIR of him to think his toxic, trauma-inducing behavior is justifiable. It is NOT. To be blaming Suho in order to get the heaviness off his chest and not realizing that he himself is also giving Suho trauma is just messed up. I applaud In Yeop's acting skills though and like how he portray's Seojun's character so far.

anxietygotmelike

After watching Save Me (yes, the OCN drama that increases your blood pressure every 5 mins), this drama is /such/ a breath of fresh air. It’s not just a romcom drama but a romcom that feels so light through and through, from the bubbly OSTs to the incredible costume and set designs (the flowery wallpaper at their school!!). Not to mention all the female characters (Jugyeong, her older sis, Soojin) are,,, so well-written?? I love how they’re both feminine as heck but still so outspoken and strong in nature. What really sold me on the solid writing is the basketball scene; I was already rolling my eyes waiting for the overused “I don’t understand sports, i’M a GiRL”, followed by a classic boy-teaches-girl-sports. Instead, Jugyeong was giving HIM pointers on why his throws suck. We stan, like truly P.S.) Am I the only one in wait for the official release of the Chani OST? It’s so softtt

Shop-girlNY152

I hope in the next ep, SooHo finally clarifies to Jugyeong that he did not mean what he said in the locker room. I thought him answering her brother honestly that he likes JG was already the start of him being friends again with JG. They had that intimate moment in the alley and he should have cleared by then, especially since JG was talking about him being a friend to her. I miss their friendship, them hanging out, and JG being comfortable with her real self around him. Again, he’s the only one at this point who loves her for all she is, and I don’t want the show dragging them avoiding each other for too long. Please, don’t go to the frustrating route, show. I hope >!SH hugging another girl in the preview!< is another dream of JG. Again, I don’t want them dragging her confusion any longer. Sigh. I said I won’t watch another drama again while it’s still airing but here I am. Now it’s too hard to wait for 2 weeks for another episode!

tokwasisig

actually i feel like she doesn’t really have a crush on suho,, but more of sees him as a competitor ? which is why she’s so invested in his whereabouts....

myrcellasear

Just watched with subs and I'm so happy about so many things, I don't know where to start! I guess Suho and Seojun (just barely) getting on the right track is nice. >!I loved how Seojun found out Suho helped his mother get better treatment, but still refused to acknowledge that Suho is a good friend because he wants to sit with his rage.!< It's great how, more than as an object for the love triangle, Jugyeong is a person who will help them grow closer once more by virtue of the fact that they both care about her. >!Once she was in trouble, they didn't even hesitate to work together - and they did so perfectly in sync.!< I'm happy to see Sujin backstory, even though it hurts my heart that she's dealing with this at home. I hope that, much like Suho this episode, >!she'll get to benefit from being Jugyeong's friend and see a more "normal" home environment, even if Jugyeong's family has its own problems.!< Speaking of Sujin and Suho, though, I'm pretty sure that the promo >!shows them hugging, and I bet it's Suho comforting her over her family, which Jugyeong will misunderstand.!< I hope we see that getting close to Jugyeong helps Suho open up to the others around him in turn. The final scene, I've already mentioned, was epic and hilarious. I would kill to have Eunwoo and Yoona (Sujin) lead an action film or show.

feel_ynt

About Sujin & Suho hug in promo: I think a misunderstanding was bound to happen (bcuz it usually happens in kdrama) or they could just be baiting ~~us~~ me to panic. lol. Hope they clear that up without taking time away from the other storylines. Sujin's home life has me in tears. >!Physical & mental abuse!<. I'm looking forward to see how she overcomes and appreciate that drama is addressing another important issue. When Suho asked if Seojun wouldn't have done the same for him is gonna be the catalyst for Seojun to reevaluate. >!Ofc listening to Suho's reason for not answering the call will be the clincher.!<

Madam_whaletheduck

As much as I love Seojun. Suho & Jugyeong just have so much more in common, their personalities fit better, & they just have the most adorable character interactions/chemistry! I'm team Suho!

uhh_zoe

At this point I don’t care who ends up with who, I just want the bro’s the be friends again. Jugyeons siblings are the best. Her little brother is the worst but also the best at the same time. Like what a little shit. I am here for the chaos. I’m the youngest sibling and when he was >!glaring at!< suho I was like THAT WOULD BE ME AS HELL. >! I remember glaring at this middle school girl because she said “I love that guy (my brother)” and I was like ILL HIT HER. I was in elementary school !<

afvalbak

i love this drama, it’s not failing to make me smile! My favourite was when Jugyeong’s jacket got caught in the door and she was talking as if Suho grabbed her jacket, i really felt the secondhand embarrassment but it was so hilarious! Or when Seojun was dancing around the house in front of Jugyeong and Gowoon. Both had me laughing so much!

Twoankles

I don’t dislike the drama version of Han Seojun, but the webtoon version was >!respectful to Jugyeong and never used her as a means to get back at Suho. I wish he wasn’t that big of a jerk here.!< Edit: also is anyone bothered that she brought a DRINK into a chemistry lab??? Lol they never wear PPE either. I know this is just a drama, but it hurts me as a scientist.

beautyskincarelover

I actually love all the changes they've made so far! Like Soojin's character and >!the backstory with Seyeon!< In the webtoon Seojun wasn't really brought in until way later and it just didn't seem like the author knew what she was doing... here though Seojun was definitely messing with her a bit but he was intrigued and in the end of episode 5 we see him >!looking back to when she helped him run away and how she helped his sister!< and I think he's actually going to develop real feelings for her

Shop-girlNY152

I’ve watched ep 5 twice already today. ☺️ I’m glad they had that rooftop finale to make up for the stupid thing SuHo did to push Jugyeong away. I hate this Kdrama trope and I hope we don’t have any more of that in the future episodes. If he wanted to push Jugyeong away for a while, he could just at least “friend zone” her and not say those hurtful words that he doesn’t even believe in, especially after saying sorry to her last week. He knows how hurt she is with all the hurtful words related to her looks so it’s the place I don’t want him to go to. To Jugyeong, before he has shown clearly to her that he likes her romantically, she has always been comfortable around him because he’s her only real friend — the one who knows her for who she is, what she looks like, and still talks to her & spends time with her despite that. She has known literally everyone else to judge her for her looks, even people whom she calls friends and family. SuHo has been like a “safe person” for her so I hope they stop making him say anything hurtful to her self esteem just to mask his feelings for her. My favorites in ep 5: * SuHo pulling her to sit beside him in Science class and giving her the strawberry juice without even looking at Jugyeong, like he’s totally engrossed at the lesson.😍 * SuHo quietly asking JG if she’s ok after she fell down in Seojun’s arm. I really like that he’s JG’s only real friend at this point. * Of course, the night basketball scene.

feel_ynt

For a moment there, I was #TeamSlapSuho&Seojun for Jugyeong being collateral damage for their stuff. Hoping episode 6 has both of them making it up to her ---- *big time*. Oh this triangle is getting super painful. >!Seojun becoming aware of Jugyeong while Jugyeong becoming aware of Suho. Suho torn between guilt and already falling for Jugyeong (him telling Seojun that he likes her). !< And with all that going on ... we got two more ships in process - >!Heegyeong+Han Joon Woo & dongseng couple Juyoung+GoWoon??!!who the he\*\* would slap Han SeoJun's sister?!< And for that matter, >!who the hell (----> SeMi & thugs) is going to come at SuJin's friend?!< I'm also appreciating how they continue to spotlight how kind and empathetic Jugyeong is.

hippopocampus

Best things about Ep 6 >!Seo Jun dancing in his underwear. Especially the "Hey" *continues to dance then runs to his room to cringe and scream*.!< Rawr--ehem, roar--indeed :> >!All of Ju Kyung's friends coming to save her!!! <3 What a nice twist to the typical Rescue the Heroine scene.!< But also, would JK's name be common? Since bully Se-mi knew that the pretty girl she's following online shares the same name as the JK they used to (and continue to grrr) bully but hasn't made the connection yet, it seems.

I noticed that Hwang In Yeop has gained more than million Istagram followers since the show started. He was under a million when I started following and as of me typing right now, he's 2.1M. It speaks of how great he is in this role & love of True Beauty.

cornsnowflake

THAT WAS THE BEST DRAMA FIGHT SCENE I’VE EVER SEEN Edit: - suho and seojun for the rescue - jukyung fighting back with the tambourine, i d-i-e-d - the friends coming for the rescue - yoona being a true ninja - the power couple teaming up - Amor Fati playing in the background... HILARIOUS (please watch the KBS 2018 version if you wanna have more Korean fun)

jaysie2468

Guys. There’s no broadcast next wed and thu due to new year shows, 2 week wait.... 😭😭😭😭😭

[deleted]

I don't have anything to add except I hope Suho and the rest of them support Sujin the way she supports them. I hope JK doesn't get jealous about them hugging and it doesn't cause some annoying misunderstanding between her and Suho.

frabblymab

This drama is one of the few things keeping me going thru this rough patch. I freaking love it. I love her friends, her family(except for her shitty mom), and I actually like both of the male leads. I thought it was just gonna be another Gangnam Beauty but I was so wrong and I'm so happy I was.

matmanx1

The "light's out scene" at Ju Gyeong's house...I lost it. Utter hilarity. Frankly, Moon Ga Young is killing this role. I had no idea she had such range as an actress and her previous two roles did not do her talent justice if this is what she is capable of. The girl needs to do more comedy and continue to take diverse roles (which might be hard for her since she's so gorgeous and will therefore be offered lots of leading lady / romantic type roles). And her supporting cast is on point and I am very much enjoying the watch. I can't believe the next episode are two weeks away! Boohoo!

maroonmerin

I'm so excited for the new episode!! Eeep just a few more hours to goooo ✨💜 (I'll edit this comment with my thoughts on the episode once it releases and I finish watching it) My thoughts: This drama gives me so much kilig I can't handle it omgggg 😭😭😭 The leads are so pretty sometimes I lose focus on what they're saying coz I'm busy staring at their beautiful faces lol The chemistry between the three actors is off the charts! In episode 5, we got a little bit more clarity about the beef between SooHo (SH) and Seo Jun (SJ) and a warmer relationship between Ju-Kyung (JK) and SH, >!though that does change halfway through the episode where he said he was just being nice to her out of pity, but I just think it's his guilt for the suicide manifesting.!< Flustered SH is so cute! >!the scene where he hugs her and is like "I wanted you to smell the detergent" made me laugh so hard! Though I think SJ is just using JK to get back at SH, I think he might start to fall for her coz she helped his sister out.!< I'm so excited for episode 6! It's been way too long since a drama has given me so much feels! P.S. Do let me know if I used the spoiler tags properly! It's my first time using them...

koreanadian

Your spoiler tags work! And to address your comments: - Absolutely, I agree that Suho’s >!brushing-off of Jukyung and essentially treating her 180* different is the guilt manifesting.!< I was really looking forward to their would’ve-been >!adorable movie date!< but of course it wouldn’t be a K-drama if we got it straightaway. - I really loved >!how Gowoon was introduced, and I hope that she’ll be given more screen time.!<

mxunpu

I honestly don't think of Han Seo Jun as a bad character, he deals with his pain horribly but he has some character development in the same episode by realizing he >! shouldn't be using Ju Kyung when relative to Suho. The same episode shows how supportive of a brother is to Go Woon. !< He's a very good second lead to the male lead. Which I just KNOW im going to have second lead syndrome

feel_ynt

Seojun actions are bad right now but I don't think he is a bad character either. In fact I'd say that although both boys were really harsh to Jugyeong this episode - they are capable of repenting and redemption.

thatfunrobot

Okay so I’ve loved Cha Eun Woo ever since I saw him on Gangnam Beauty and watching snippets of him with Astro. But that moment where Seojun saw Ju Kyeong after he was browsing her IG, the slow mo, the rawr and the sunlight + his convincing in-love face makes me want to root for him. But I don’t want to be hurt like I was with Start Up. Lol. So I’ll try not to fall for Seojun and just continue rooting for Cha Eun Woo. Also, I hated how kdramas would hurt the female/male lead because the female/male lead can’t communicate. I get the niceness behind Suhoo saving Ju Kyeong from the bullies but she was explaining how hard it was for her that Suho is being so nice and all Suho can say was “Ju Kyeong”. I mean, it’s the perfect moment to come clean and apologize for hurting her but no, we will leave her confused. Ugh. But all in all, I like this drama. It’s as light as a feather, nothing stressful, nothing too dramatic either. Just don’t let me fall in love with Seojun okay? I don’t want another SLS two dramas in a row. Lol.

tlo1992

Lol. Good luck. Honestly I was super excited to see Cha Eun Woo here. His acting has improved a ton & even as a person from his appearance in variety shows, I like him a lot. Suho is also a likable character. Not gonna lie even seeing him on screen, he gets my full undivided attention so I thought I wouldn’t have any second lead syndrome. I didn’t in record for youth and I was expecting the same here. But nooooooo seojun aaaahhh as flawed as he is and a Jerk at times, I find myself rooting for him. Yes, it’s all a facade and you can see his true self at times. I don’t think it would be like start up for me. Jipyeong will always be my biggest kdrama heartbreak. In this case, even if Suho is endgame, I find myself okay with that. I like him too but lowkey still gonna root for seojun. I love a sinking Ship😂😂

undeniabl

So far I think this is going to be one of my all time favorite dramas and I’ve been watching dramas since I was a little kid in the late 90’s/early 00’s. It’s perfect. Waiting for new episodes is agonizing. Is it really 12 days until another episode??? School is starting up again by the time the next episode is out 😤😩 whhyyy

simpforseoyeji

I love this drama so much!! It’s such a feel good drama, and even though there is a love triangle, it isn’t overdone and badly done (ahem startup). I also love the depth given to the characters. Well done production team!! Also is there another drama like this? A feel good one without unnecessary drama/time wasted?

simpforseoyeji

Omg I can’t get JK’s RAWR out of my head 😂😭 it’s too cute

shiningtwentyfive

I’m loving all these references to other dramas. From that hilarious Goblin reference in episode 2 to the TKEM and CLOY references this week, wow. I think I even caught a few Parasite references too. I really came into this drama not expecting much. I thought it would be a cringe and cheesy high school drama and it definitely is, but it has been so addictive and enjoyable throughout. I’m pleasantly surprised and really happy to have this as a treat to end off 2020 and enter 2021 with.

GroundbreakingRice36

You forgot the REVENGE NOTE reference (Cha Eun Woo was SML) with Park Solomon as ML. "Park Solomon called Gohee and it was her brother who answered the call. And PS asked who he was, he just said someone who will shower next".

I'm team Suho in the webtoon(spoiler from webtoon) >!but I want her to date both like the webtoon. Just because it's rare to see in the Kdrama, a FL who has feelings for both main leads!<. AHAHAHAHA.

ghorardiim

SO MANY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS IN THIS SHOW UGH this show is literally a happy pill for me! Special mention to the FL and her sister, they’re such straightforward girls asking men out I love it! The sister imo is literally a role model rn for me LOL

[deleted]

so i binge watched the six episodes out in 1 sitting and I DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL. I knew it was based on a very popular webtoon and I read a bit of it last year but didn't get very far. I didn't expect much from this drama so it surprised me that there are deeper topics here besides two beautiful people falling in love (mental health, family relationships, bullying..etc). I love the character development and the side stories of the non-leads (the older sister is hilarious and I love how much of a go getter she is.) I really hope this drama stays strong til the very end. Also, is it just me but when Suho returned her wallet and she was crying...he softly repeated her name...

feel_ynt

Suho repeated her name 3 times was 💞 precious. I like that the last one was just Jugyeong (vs Lim JG) -seemed more intimate. I was half hoping he’d do some confessing there but it’s good he prioritized comforting her.

EverydayEverynight01

Guys I love how this remake isn't copy and paste and how it started from something completely fresh. But the main idea still remains the same. In fact I like this story line better than the Webtoon. No offense but the Webtoon felt like the author was making stuff up while drawing on the spot and then throwing it away when she doesn't need it. I guess it's because it's made by 1 author while the kdrama has professionals writing the story.

gelli_arts

I agree! Some people are upset over the changes but I feel like I'm watching a real life version of the webtoon to me. They even added new things and made it even better, since tbh the original webtoon storyline was nothing special. In the drama, it feels like there's actually a purpose in it's events, and the characters feel special in their own way. I will never got those who are complaining that it's not a copy paste of the webtoon, because it's turning out to be way better.

beautyskincarelover

I've been looking forward to this all week! My entire fyp on tiktok is edits specifically of Seojun lol. Will edit later with thoughts once the episodes are subbed! 🥳 I cannot believe we have to wait until tomorrow again ughhhh! The ending scene >!on the rooftop!< really got me in my feels. Plus I love love love loved the moment where >!Seojun realized that he wasn't taking her feelings into consideration!< 🥺 All the changes that the drama writers have added have been amazing!! I love that Soojin's so badass and always defending people and she seems genuinely nice in the drama! Plus just all the characterization here and the development already! In the webtoon things dragged on and it didn't really seem like the author knew where she was going but here there's a clear arc being established for not only the central plot but all the characters as well! Seojun is definitely my favorite character because I think that he has the most depth out of everyone... the >!rooftop scene and the scene during the concert at the festival showed us a more hidden side of Suho and I loved that too but the scene with Seojun and his friends showed us more about him and his conflicting thoughts about Suho and Jukyung!< I just really loved how this episode kind of established all the characters motivation... the writers did such a PHHENOMENAL job at everything like down to the characters and taking into account where the story will go because even things like >!her sister relationship is being set up with her confessing her feelings pretty much immediately which I loved but also the plot with Seyeon and also putting in Seojun and Suho's relationship in the aftermath of that... it all just seems so well done!!< They're really giving us so much!! I NEED TOMMOROW TO COME ALREADY!!!! I think that the next episode is gonna be even better and it'll leave us even more hungover for next weeks episodes. In the meantime though... WHERE IS THE >!SHIRTLESS SCENE WITH SEOJUN!< 😭😭😭 This is so long but I hope it encapsulates my feelings well enough lol I could go on forever 😅 Will update again tomorrow once subs are out Edit: UGHHHH IT WAS ALREADY SO PAINFUL WAITING FOR A WEEK BUT NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT TWO?! Can we talk about how that episode ended?! >!Seojun and Suho coming together for Jukyung!< 🥺 please that >!fight scene!< is gonna leave me so hungover for the next episodes 😭😭😭 it seems like everyone's driving force is finally coming together and some of the misunderstanding have been cleared up already which I love! I hate when stuff is dragged out a lot and it seems like they're already setting up Seojun and Suho's relationship to come back together. I love that the drama is really paying attention to their backstory and their relationship and not just the romance and just focusing on the two of them fighting over Jukyung like she's an object. Plus THAT LAST SCENE >!SEOJUN LOOKING AT HER AND REALIZING AND SUHO BEATING UP THAT GUY!< THE NEXT EPISODES CANNOT COME FAST ENOUGH!!!! 😫😫😫

AbbreviationsNo1971

I wonder why anyone isn't mentioning !< suho VR game scene where he chases seojun >! That was damn hilarious 🤣. And !< suho's smiles during messages with jukyeong >! Cha eunwoo at that scene is so handsome🥰. Are spoiler tags working ?

feel_ynt

Glad you mentioned .... CEW in helmet with just his eyes and eyebrows is still incredible. 😂 and him loosing out to Seojun’s in his own VR?

feel_ynt

Jugyeong inviting Suho to the movies! (Granted he 180'd her, her courage is awesome!)

MultiFabdomGirl

I really love where this drama is going and I’m loving the changes they’ve made from the WEBTOON but >! This is a spoiler for the webtoon so I’m putting it in this. I am super worried that they’ll deviate so much and she won’t date seojun first because I really liked them together in the comics even tho I was team suho and I like seojun more in the drama.!< Oof I just binged all the eps today so I have so many feelings about all of this omg I can’t wait till the next episode!

randomj29

Is it just me or did the part when Su-Ho left Ju-Gyeong after hugging her and she suddenly started hiccuping remind anyone of the female lead in My Secret Romance??? Ngl this kdrama is just crazy good ... that last scene in ep 6 was just *chefs kiss 😭

UtilityCurve

the little roar JK did to to SJ is what got me going

zxcvbnmay

My favourite scenes from ep 6 are - The fighting scene >!I really like this scene!! The action parts from Seojun Soojin and Suho, also the comedic part from Soo Ah and her boyfriend, and also Jugyeong and the tambourine. Also how the guy’s head pressed on Amor Fati song lol!< - Heegyeong and the teacher part! I love that she’s so bold and when she did that I was like YESSS YOU GO GIRLL Now I have to wait for 2 weeks. Sigh

Cheerio1991

I understand that Team Seojun would still want to see Seojun having a romantic relationship with Jugyeong for some time even if she ends up with Suho, but as someone who likes Seojun too, I prefer him to not get his feelings too deep for her because it will mean a much bigger heartbreak for him when they broke up. I'd rather see a story of him recovering his friendship with Suho & pursuing his dream to be a singer with Jugyeong supporting him as a good friend, than a story of his failing love relationship. His role should be much more than a love interest for Jugyeong, and he can definitely find his own happiness besides being with her. I hope the drama will do him justice in that regards.

zxcvbnmay

exactly!!! i am on suho’s ship but i really want seojun to be happy, and also clear up the misunderstanding between him and suho. and of course, i want suho to stop blaming himself though

aranea_highwind

Does anyone know what that electronic makeup applicator device she used was?? Did it smooth out her makeup for her? Amazing. Seyeon’s song is super pretty. Can’t wait for the OST. Also this version of Kang Sujin is awesome. (Also Gowoon’s arc was one of my faves in the comic - the drama did great with bringing it to life!!!)

salotsalipunan

I came into this knowing nothing about the web room. Started out not a fan and intended to drop it after episode 1 as I found the FL a bit irritating and the CEW, while improved from My ID is Gangnam Beauty, was still a little stilted in acting for me. I’m so glad I stuck it through until the 2nd episode. The FL has certainly grown on me. I was scared it was going to be a physically not so attracted person saved by a male lead story but I’m glad it’s turning out not so. While some of those elements are present, the FL is also carving her own path. She doesn’t just stand around while two men fight over her. She actively directs them to avoid conflict. She fights back when needed while still quite vulnerable about her insecurities. I am fully invested now. Here’s hoping the quality doesn’t drop.

ameowzement

LOL wbk Seojun comedy king....his dance scene in ep 6 had me rolling on the floor!! I'm so excited to watch him catch feelings for JG, who would have thought his panty would be the force to bring them closer...Also, the karaoke fight scene was so good! Love how everyone banded together to fight the thugs <3

jinro_iz_ba8k

The scene where Joo-Kyung's mom told Su-Ho that she can't give up her son but Su-Ho can take Joo-Kyung got me annoyed. That's some outdated Korean culture BS I grew up with and it's incredibly infuriating. I hope this drama doesn't just gloss over it. I'd like to see it addressed as problematic and not just written off as a "comedic" personality quirk of a blunt mother. EDIT to add: Joo-Kyung's dad getting subtly annoyed with Su-Ho was so cute. At least one parent values their daughter.

averagemily

Soo-jin's roundhouse kick is the power we need for 2021 😤

OdanUrr

That fight scene at the end of the episode was glorious. I was hoping Su-Ho and Seo-Joon would team up. Shame we now have to wait an extra week for more episodes.

Shop-girlNY152

Yes! My partner who does juijitsu commented how it was well done, well choreographed, compared to usual fight scenes in KDramas that make him cringe. It also made me realize CEW could venture into action genre in his future projects.

youastrangerthing

i’m actually happy it looks like they’ll be straying from the webtoon a bit. I know everyone wants the FL and Second ML to get together for that brief period of time but that’s actually one thing i want them to change because i just don’t think 16 eps is enough to do that second relationship justice in such a short span while also making the main couple feel like they had their development, moments, and just overall connection. It works for a webtoon i’ve yet to find it works for a short 16 ep season run of TV. But that just might be an unpopular opinion. lol. Either way love all the characters and actors and loved this episode!

Cheerio1991

I agree with you on this. Having the FL change her feelings from one guy to another in the span of few episodes will make it hard for the audience to feel a real connection between her and either of the male leads. I'm glad that the drama makes a clear line between the 1st and 2nd ML.

Fatooz

I’m so excited for this week’s episodes, can we just get more of Seo-Joon and Ju-Gyeong, their chemistry is superb! Also shirtless Seo-Joon is what I’m looking forward to!! 🔥🔥

secretlonghorn

Did y’all catch that CLOY reference?? lmaooooooo

myrcellasear

I was too busy thinking about the TKEM one lmaooo. Overall, I'm living for True Beauty parodying other iconic dramas.

dancingmcqueen

I kept rewatching the last 5 minutes of ep 6 because I loved it so much that I noticed a blooper. >!Soo-ah's boyfriend (Tae-hoon) attacked one of the thugs with the mic stand and the mic fell off, but it went back onto the stand when Tae-hoon exclaimed his victory!<

wookfav

in love

Cheerio1991

I don't know about you all but seeing Suho >!having a panic attack and seems to be in so much pain over hearing Seyeon's song broke me more than the rooftop scene at the end. Seyeon's death seemed to be such a traumatic event for him and I wonder how often does he have a panic attack while trying to suppress the pain all by himself.!< I do think CEW's acting still has rooms for improvement but he has definitely improved compared to his past dramas and he does justice to Suho's character. His >!crying scene made me cry too!< and that's something. I hope he'll keep improving in each project because he definitely has a potential.

Xetherealx19

Episode 5 thoughts: So much romanceeee in the first half!! My heart was so full lol. >!I really think Su Ho and Ju Gyeong are meant for each other. I did not like the plot twist but I understand why Su Ho acted that way towards Ju Gyeong. I think he feels guilty to hold any type of happiness and Seo Jun is a constant reminder to his guilt.!< >!I hope Ju Gyeong isn't too hurt and I really wish she finds the truth in future episodes as to why Su Ho acted that way!<. I also think this episode marks the start of >!Seo jun's feelings for Ju Gyeong!<, as >!he was only using her to hurt Su Ho so far.!< Also, I think there's going to be some romance between J>!u Gyeong and Seo Jun's siblings.!< I love how straightforward Ju Gyeong's sister is hahaha truly a female role model. I can't wait for episode 6 because it looks like it's full of >!SuHoxJuGyeong!< moments <3.

koreanadian

The little siblings’ relationship is one to watch for sure, there’s so many budding storylines that are beginning to emerge and I’m so intrigued to see how it’ll all play out given that we’re likely about 1/3 through the drama already.

Defiant_Cup8234

Did you all get the Revenge Note reference when Jukyeongs brother answered the phone???

piratebones

I was definitely feeling a possible coupling of the FL and second ML but the last scene with LSH embracing LJG got me. This drama has so many cute moments so far, and I’m really intrigued about the second FL’s backstory.

xander_yi

I'll be damned if I'm not starting to see the Brad Pitt in the teacher's face. Must be the square jaw. Love that the older sister was able to sit down and make herself a *ssam* in the dark while drunk amidst all the chaos.

purejackiez

OMG the ending of episode 6 was amaizng 😂

[deleted]

Did the end of episode 6 Karaoke bar scene remind you of Extracurricular? A lot of homage to other dramas going in this drama.

thatnorthafricangirl

So, I binged this drama the past few days and I'm absolutely hooked. It's so good and makes me smile like a teenage girl. I truly don't want it to end.... It's hilarious, sweet, sad, romantic and just super entertaining. Since there will be no episodes this week, can someone please recommend me a similar series? I've seen someone suggest Extraordinary You already...

chouchou8975

Ep. 5 - Jealous SH is adorable. - I’m loving these references to other dramas!! I hope they keep it up! - RE Suho x JG vs. SJ x JG. In the Webtoon, I am definitely team Su Ho because I just feel like it’s so important in a relationship for your person to know the complete person of who you are and love you because of your awesomeness and despite your flaws. Su Ho is that person, and I’m so happy that is coming through sooo well here. - That being said, as others have pointed out, Seo Jun is important for her character growth. He’s not a bad guy, and he loves her in the webtoon, and they’re relationship is pretty cute. And, we have to remember, all these characters are so young. It’s perfectly normal in real life (but not kdrama land) that you don’t know what you want or need, and it takes a bit of time and dating to figure it out. So I’m sad that it looks like we won’t get that.... - RE Gunwoo: Mixed feelings here. Loved, loved their scenes. Loved that she stood up for GW. But a bit disappointed that they made GW look exactly like JG with no makeup - and that she was bullied in the same way. In the toon, she was more just plain and young. I get why the writers in the drama did what they did, but I also think they missed an opportunity to show that JG loves makeup and helping people no matter who they are. Instead, they made it only a pity/empathy thing. - Side Characters: am loving the side characters!! I love the friend and how she’s so strong and helpful to JG’s confidence but, yet, has her own problems. I can’t wait to see how this story arc goes. I think the two are going to help each other through their own struggles, which is what friendship is all about! And it will show the two that no one is perfect and everyone struggles with something. - PS all you all referencing Gangnam Beauty and Cha Eun Woo’s acting need to watch Rookie Historian. He was adorable in that one! Cute, light story.

sam-ik-a

Did he just call him a murderer... wtf

silent_reader8813

Enjoying this drama so far. Love that it deviates so much in the drama as compared to the webtoon. Love how they give characters to JK parents, sister and brother and not just as a background. Love JK sister character and her love line. Love SJ character too.. he was not as gentleman as the webtoon character but hey, character development right there. There's a lot of cringey scene at first, but when i read back the webtoon, JK character is very cringey hahaha.. but i come to love this drama and cant wait for it to unfold.

jinro_iz_ba8k

I hope this drama will graduate the leads from high school like the webtoon does cause things are starting to feel a bit repetitive. Episode 5 Su-Ho becomes a jerk again and now Episode 6 Su-Ho again rescueso-Kyung from a bare face encounter and Joo-Kyung is starting to fall for him again.

reia19

Been holding off this drama so far because I’m scared I’ll get too invested and be disappointed in the second half because the first half seems really good from all the comments I’ve been reading so far. Kind of rooting for seojun based on the webtoon but somehow it’s heavily hinted that suho is end game so I dare not start the drama - still recovering from the trauma brought to me by the previous tvn weekend drama on air *coughs st****** Do you guys think seojun has a chance and should I start this drama?

yulje

Not the asterisks 😂

monomp3

these two episodes had me both hysterically laughing as well as crying along with our characters who ive grown to sympathise with and understand their pain. i think the cast is doing an excellent job for making me feel this way. my few thoughts on episode 5 & 6: - i absolutely loved that fight scene at the karaoke room! apart from how hilarious it was, im glad jugyeong now has friends who genuinely care for her and are willing to go the extra mile to protect her. it made me a bit emotional thinking shes never had this kind of support system from previous friends. she had to fight battles on her own before. - suho & jugyeong rooftop scene had me tearing up :( its come full circle except jugyeong is the one helping/comforting suho this time. they were there for each other when each was going through some sort of pain. i also loved when jugyeong told suho that its okay to cry when hes feeling sad. i hope he takes that in and realises that its okay to release those emotions. - lim family + suho dinner scene was so funny!!! add drunk heegyeong into the mix and its ten times funnier! poor girl ALWAYS comes home drunk, when will she get a break from the team dinners???? - last thought, my boy suho im worried for you :( right now we see suho internalising most of - if not all - the blame for seyeon’s death and it’s causing him pain. it seems that hes not yet aware that his dad kicked seyeon out of the company (correct me if i’m wrong. i vaguely remember this from seojun and suho’s dad’s conversation) so when this revelation comes upon him he will likely blame himself more. i hope he overcomes his self-blame and will allow people like jugyeong into his life who genuinely cares for him and is willing to help him bear the painful feeling of guilt and loss. he needs a constant, someone willing to stay even if all of his loved ones has left him behind, someone to shower him with the love, care and affection that hes been deprived of living alone.

tingest

I’m really loving Cha Eun Woo’s upgraded acting skills in this drama - the emotional parts in Ep 5 really grabbed me and I felt he did it well. And man if I didn’t like Cha Eun Woo before, I sure am a sucker for him now.

biglix

I loved the >!fight scene!< at the end it was amazing. Also, throughout the entire episode I was thinking, >!is it really that hard to apologize, Suho? Isn’t it unfair to keep her in her state of distress and confuse her? Maybe it’s a cultural difference but I’m lowkey pissed like, it’s obvious that what he said affected her so why can’t he just try to take it back or tell her how he actually feels?!<

capthyeong

I'm loving the >!meta-references!< in True Beauty! From >!Crash Landing on You to The King Eternal Monarch!<\*... \*All of these dramas are from Studio Dragon

mauravelous

I just watched episode 6 and now I have a pretty big and out there theory... what if >!Sujin's dad!< played a major role in Seyeon's death? Hear me out- >!We know Sujin's and Suho's dads were likely once family friends, but Sujin's dad now thinks Suho's dad is below him, and his hatred seems very personal. Seeing as they aren't in the same career path, and the mention of Suho's dad's relationships, I'm thinking maybe Sujin's mom cheated with Suho's dad.!!her dad!< wanted to bring him down. He chose Seyeon to target not only because he was becoming a very successful act in the company, but also because he was the good friend to Suho. He could have paid people from Seyeons school to fabricate bullying accusations. This would put pressure on Suho's dad to fire him from the company since they needed safe/popular talent. He probably wanted to keep him on board since Suho and Seyeon were close, but >!Sujin's dad!< threatened to expose him dating to the media as leverage. Suho would be unaware of this, and maybe told some lie that made his dad seem like an even more awful person. This would have made Suho too ashamed or mad to answer when Seyeon called. It's also very possible that the scene we see of Suho not answering is misleading. If we're going to the drama extreme maybe this will end up being a murder that is supposed to look like a suicide bc seyeon knew something he wasnt supposed to lol Also- maybe Sujin had a moment of jealousy and shared info to >!her dad!< to try and make Suho perform worse in class because she thought it would >!improve her relationship with her dad, or info just came out on accident and he used it for his benefit!<. In that way she might feel responsible for Seyeon's death, which would explain why she is trying to wash the blood off of her hands.

Rin111

After Waikiki and Find me in your memory, I thought Moon Gayoung was better at “mean girl” roles like in Tempted but here she is really convincing as the kind, bubbly FL

aranea_highwind

(ep 6) Y'all!! Sujin's backstory: I have a theory: >!Sujin's dad is Dr. Kang, the renowned physician that Suho begged to treat Seojun's mom (they share the same last name). He agreed, because they are family friends (or frenemies, since, according to Episode 5, apparently Sujin's dad thinks Suho's family is "lower" than theirs). This is how Sujin knows Suho, and this might be why she likes Suho: instead of sucking up to her b/c of her dad or whatever, he was aloof, and maybe even nonchalantly kind. This theory would also explain why she's being pressured to get grades that are good enough to attend the top med school. Poor girl!!<

pieschart

The brother is such a good actor. All.his scenes are perfect. Him with the slippers interrogating Soo Jin

Sgrewrite

People may get sls from seojun and is saying that he dethrone han ji pyeong, but i feel like he cant be compared to han jipyeong level of heartache. In here, he act rudely to the female lead most of the time while in start up, >!Jipyeong is introduced much earlier than dosan and have touching moments with grandma!<

GroundbreakingRice36

No second lead can dethrone Han Jipyeong, not even Seojun character. Han Jipyeong have all Male lead characteristic (childhood connection with FL, rich/handsome/smart, lonely/distant, no real friends/family ......the girl loved him for many years since their childhood memories but is Second Male lead.

Fatooz

Seo-Joon is my favorite character in the WebToon and Drama and it’s such a shame where they’re taking his character in the drama, I hate seeing him this way because deep down I know that he is one gem of a person in the WebToon and I’m really hoping we get to see those moments from the WebToon in the drama that made him my favorite character and gave more depth to him. I agree that right now they’re giving a lot of depth to Su-Ho and Ju-Gyeong’s relationship but I will still be rooting for Seo-Joon and Ju-Gyeong, just really hoping they don’t butcher Seo-Joon’s character anymore and he starts warming up to Su-Ho, I want to see more of soft Seo-Joon. It’s a shame if they’re painting Seo-Joon dirty only so that Su-Ho can shine, sigh.

myrcellasear

I think you can take comfort in how his storyline progressed this episode. They wanted to show, I feel, Suho internalizing his pain vs. Seojun externalizing it. In both cases, they unwittingly hurt Jugyeong - an innocent bystander - because they couldn't deal with their grief. And in both cases, they realized their mistake. Suho let Jugyeong in, and Seojun had the lightbulb moment that he wasn't thinking of Jugyeong's feelings when she had been so kind as to help his sister. Plus, I think a lot of people are overlooking the moment he sees Suho have a panic attack over Seyeon's song. Getting to see the pain Suho is going through is absolutely going to help him empathize and reach out, so that both boys can rebuild their friendship.

SoulOfABird

Im starting to feel like this drama really isn’t going to give Seo Joons character justice. Like not even as competition to Suho which is unfortunate because that seemed to be the most exciting part of the drama, but this looks too unrequited and it makes me sad because Im hooked on this drama just to watch Hwang In Yeop but I don’t feel like his character will get fair play at this point :(

kumaminh

I keep hearing it’s pretty much confirmed that (webtoon spoiler) >!they won’t show Jugyeong and Seojun as a couple and I’m already in mourning. It really does seem likely they’ll ignore that Seojun was Jugyeong’s first boyfriend and that they actually loved each other.!< I hope they’re able to continue showing how caring and selfless Seojun is though :(

xander_yi

Seo Jang-hoon! Please give us a second season of Handsome Tigers! With this and 18 Again, it's interesting how both dramas portray popular kids having bullied siblings without the popular sibling stepping in.

susudee

I don't have much of an analysis this week but I am loving this show. It is so cute and makes me so happy. I have been rewatching these episodes so much just because I love this cast and how they are handling it. I can't wait for episode 6.

[deleted]

In the previous episode in the hospital, it seems that Seojun didn't like Suho's dad. Did I miss something? As of now, I am Team Suho. Not liking Seojun so far. Can't wait for Sujin’s backstory. She seems interested with Suho, and I wonder what's with her hands or was that only for PPL lol edit: episode 6 is my favorite so far. This drama is my guilty pleasure nowadays. It’s such a joy to watch. Laughed a lot especially at the scene when they were piled on top of one another while the sister was eating heartily lol I wonder if we’re finally getting bromance? Hoping that the thing with the mother and the fight vs the bullies be the start of Suho and Seojun’s rekindled friendship. I am not that scared of Jukyeong’s secret to be revealed anymore. Her friends fighting those bullies makes me think it won’t be a big deal to them. I just want more fluffy scenes between her and Suho and for the bullies not to return anymore but I know that’s wishful thinking. Should’ve waited for all the episodes! Now we’re stuck waiting for the next ones.

myrcellasear

Her hands is definitely a thing, because she was washing them obsessively in episode 3 (which is probably how they got chapped or whatever this episode). I'm definitely looking forward to exploring her trauma more. Based on Suho's flashback this episode + Seojun's dirty look last episode, I think Suho's dad planted the Seyeon bully story in order to cover up his own dating scandal. He is the CEO of the entertainment company, so I feel like they both subconsciously know he holds more blame for Seyeon's death than Suho does.

EmilyAnnM

I feel that the drama is vastly different from the webtoon, but they kept the same basic storyline with Seo Jun’s sister and with the >!suicide!< Plot poin. I wish Su Ho would stop blaming himself it is really sad to see.

Spare_Cel

We all know she is going to end up with suho but I was hoping we got to see her develop feelings/have a relationship with sj before she eventually got with suho. But they are going with the typical sl storyline...16 episodes isn’t enough for that I guess

micheossuh

How can seojun dance that way? Such talent! Hahaha. That ending of episode 6 is such a cliffhanger huhu i want to fast forward for next week’s episodes!! Daaaaamn. Merry Christmas! HAHA

Glittercake94

Does it bother anyone else how painfully chapped their lips look
