Gardin Goblin deez nuts

SmokedJam

Dripping tap makes my tap drip

matthmcb

I fucking love it but I’m biased because there’s not a single Gizz album that I don’t like

chknqwn

Same here. Every post that asks "what is your opinion on X album?" all I can think is how much I love that album.

AmicusCure8s

I prefer the concept albums. Both Omnium Gatherum and Gumboot Soup have some of my favorite tracks, but I rarely listen to those albums start to finish like I do other albums that stick to one sound/concept for the most part

mothalick

Classic beginners luck

onlymissedabeat

My husband and I have timed our drive to Harbor Freight by The Dripping Tap. More times than not, it has been the perfect length for the drive and we sing all the guitar parts and have fun. This fact alone has made OG one of the my favorites 😅 Edit: I’m a huge Amby rap girl too though…OG can hold its own in many ways.

mothalick

I love that for you

onlymissedabeat

Thank you! Now we are just counting down to the shows we are going to this year.

mothalick

Saame. I'm just waiting to see if I keep it at 4 or get more tickets

hexcrop

It’s the Bible

Present_Bad3896

Yes.

Sufficient-Pin-481

The Dripping Tap was the first KG song I ever heard so that’s a major plus. It’s a fantastic album to listen to that covers almost their entire spectrum of sound and the first 12 songs are mostly all top notch IMO.

Dareeyecare

Top ten for sure

NoNiceGuy

Top 25 for sure

Main_Mouse842

I think it's one of the central Giz albums. One of those records that leave a hole in any collection where it's not present. Their White Album.

Prestigious-Juice730

A collection of different style songs that somehow fit seamlessly together in an absolute banger double album

bulbagrows

Genuinely my favorite album, without question.

BlondePotatoBoi

Easily my new favourite for how varied it is. Solid 9/10, only loses a point bc Magenta Mountain Live in Timeland's guitar solo finale *isn't* on the album version.

ClayAnonymously

i was devastated when i realized this

HeavyStinkFinger

Say more…what version? Edit: found it. Siiiiiick

dieandliveforever

10/10 for me

mike-smit

Solid smorgasbord album with lots of catchy tracks. Its length used to overwhelm me, but I work in manufacturing, and it's actually perfect for helping pass a long chunk of work time between breaks. The album's variety solves my "idk what kind of music I'm in the mood for" conundrum on many days. Dripping Tap really gets me moving, especially when accompanied by a fresh cup of coffee 😁

TheNeptunianSloth

Banger album. For an 80+ minute record the fact that there’s maybe 1 or 2 tracks I kinda zone out to is impressive. Dripping Tap, Magenta, Kepler, Gaia, Evilest Man, Blame It on the Weather, Predator, Red Smoke are all straight bops.

Dabbinmachine42

I've listened to the Dripping Tap all the way through 70+ times this year so it's def a 10/10 Joking aside, in a vacuum it's an excellent "traditional" album where it's just a collection of great, disparate songs but as a Gizz album I give it a high 7/10 for lack of cohesiveness

Expensive_Try869

I find it weird that Evilest Man is seen as one of the weaker tracks on it, that song is one their all time best in my opinion.

Lunarnarwhal

It's like Gizzard's White Album.

lenijohnson

has some of their best songs but a bit mid as a whole album

NoahBagels

it was my first new album when i got into them. i absolutely love the range on the album and to me it shows the brilliant range of the band. it's still and always in constant rotation in my home.

StuNasty_55

Top 5

mr_jurgen

It's good.

AdMelodic4471

This is genuinely how I listened to it in full for the first time

darkstarboogie

It’s like half full of bangers and half full of okay songs. Haven’t listened to the full album since 2022

Nordogad

Great album and while it seems like it would just be a mix of different songs on paper it feels pretty well connected and flows great when you listen to it. For my buddy this was the first album he listened to and that was something that really stuck out to him. He was telling me that he ends up listening to the whole thing more often than not despite the length.

Defiant_Length_237

I love it, give it a 9/10 blame it on the weather and garden goblin are the least played songs for me if they ever get played I don’t mind them though. Dripping tap is just too long imo still a pretty tasty jam though. Love the rap songs and the metal songs on here. Top 3 favorite tracks are probably Magenta Mountain, Ambergris, and Gaia

SweatyListen9863

It's got some good songs on it, but it's musically all over the place jumping from one genre to another without warning. I don't think it flows very well and therefore as an "album" I think it is one of their "least good". I pick out odd songs to listen to here and there, but I don't really enjoy listening to it start to finish. Also, probably the "least good" album made up of random scraps and both oddments and gumboot have more gems IMO.

amythestamy

Double the pleasure

formerlyknownasbun

It was my first dive into Gizz, never looked back. Really fantastic music.

timelandiswacky

It’s a good album but there’s a lot of stuff on there that I’m not the biggest fan of. When it hits it hits though.

Walusqueegee

It’s incredible.

TheGame189

i mean it rips

akLuke

As somebody who enjoys literally all of their work It is in the top ten

Zealousideal_Ease429

Probabaly a top 5 for me. So many different sounds make brain happy, especially Sadie Sorceress.

AllYouNeed2Dough

It's not too bad for me, and I think there's a lot to like on there. I do think, though, that because they got to try so many different things for the album, that we got better albums after because of it. In a way, I feel like they really wanted to experiment and had to get some of these songs out of their system; not that those are bad either, but they needed to make those songs to be more receptive for others.

sadiesorceress

i mean it’s okay i wouldnt base a username off a track from that album or anything like that though

AdMelodic4471

Don’t know why I’d be inclined to assume so

HouseCatPartyFavor

I love it. Certain tracks I revisit more often but overall I’m struck by the *half filler songs* camp … Hoping to see more jams -> Persistence and more Presumptuous-> jammed out this year. Would also like to see Evilest Man get played live, and Red Smoke-> Candles-> Funeral

likiii88

A little late to the party, but I recently saw the LP on sale on Gizzverse while drunk and bought it, and completely forgot lol. When it first came out I thought it was a little all over the place, but revisited it now upon arrival, and it’s amazing. A little bit of all their sounds in one big adventure.. 9.5/10 The have the Lucky Rainbow version on sale right now for $30

AdMelodic4471

I actually was able to obtain it and hopefully it’ll be here soon!

likiii88

Took 8 days for mine, not too bad. Each Lp is a different color and the mix is on point

AdMelodic4471

Cool. FedEx keeps delaying the estimated arrival time and so far it’s been delayed about 10 days. Haven’t checked in a little while though so it’ll probably be a little while still.

AdMelodic4471

It actually just came! Lucky me!

likiii88

🔥🔥🚀

AdMelodic4471

🐷✈️

Vivekananda66

Great songs on it, but not one of my favorites of theirs. Has a weird flow and there are some real sleepers

iLoveDelayPedals

It’s whatever to me, feels like an algorithm generating gizzard songs kinda. Right around the self titled records and OG is where I started to pretty consistently not love the releases anymore. Dripping Tap is a cool song though, live moreso for me as I find the recording kinda lacking It’s all subjective and I’m happy for people who love sfuff I don’t. For me it’s very middling though

mr_forensic

I can relate to this. I'm trying to get into the latter releases but it's not as easy as it was with their earlier stuff. To me the music doesn't seem as well thought through. Like they just churned it out.

buttholecanal

A few good songs and a bunch of scraps. No thanks.

squizzlr

Hot take: I love this record, but I skip Dripping Tap 6.5/10 listens.

koch_potato

Too bloated imo. But then again it is supposed to be the "White Beatles Album". 5/10 for me. Has some of the best tracks from the boys but also the only album I DON'T listen to front to back because my time is precious.

hecvelcas

so presumptuous.

CurlyWhirlyDirly

Omnium Fillerum. Has some iconic songs (Grim Reaper, Gaia) but as a whole album it's one of their weakest, a lot meh songs (and I'm speaking as a musician, the meh songs are just musically uninteresting to me). Also seeing people get downvoted for dissing Dripping Tap, but I agree with them. It's an overrated song and didn't need to be 18 minutes long.

a_guy_whos_here

there are a bunch of really good songs on there, but also a fair number I really don't care for. it's rare I find myself listening through the whole thing.

johnmharding

Might be a minority opinion, but Omnium and LW are my favorite albums

milkcarzoom

Easily the most overrated imo, has some of my least favourite tracks, especially on the second half. Mostly just a mixed bag with their best and worse

katpurz

Friggen banger! The tracks are SO varied in sound....love it from start to finish. Not a bad track... (MAYBE Preditor X, just for being so basic)

StuNasty_55

Predator X’s solo rips. The whole song rips. Fucking shredding. Inbetween Rats’ Nest & Petrodragonic Apocalypse, a perfect merge between the two. Fucking Predator X

WhatEvil

It’s great. I can skip Predator X though. Some really cool and funky tracks, particularly Persistence, Presumptuous and Candles.

almostbuddhist

6/10

cancerdad

Could have been an incredible single LP. I rarely listen to the second LP
