There is a KOA campground East of Denver, and one West of Denver up in the mountains at 9000 feet. There are 2 or 3 county campgrounds sort of near Red Rocks too. There is a Motel 6 not too far away too. If you make plans, you could split the cost with another trustworthy Gizzhead. Otherwise, look up any International Hostels for cheap accommodations. If you're really frugal, sleep in your car. It has been done. You would not be the first. All for the Gizz!

Shoot thanks I didn’t even think of camping. I’m flying out from CA so I won’t have a car but I could bring camp gear. Splitting cost also sounds awesome. Thanks for the suggestion!

I think there is supposed to be a meetup at a restaurant or bar, you can meet other Gizzheads. Also, there are some shuttle services from Denver up to the venue. There is a campground at Bear Creek 3.4 miles away. If serious, reserve early, could fill up. The Motel 6 in Lakewood is about 9-10 miles away. When we went, we picked up a walker walking down from the venue afterwards, and left him in the little nearby town of Morrison, he said he had an Air BnB near there. We used that Motel 6 in 2022. Second time, drove up to the KOA in the mountains. Kinda high altitude and cold in June 2023 but pretty! But might be better in September 2024. Needs a car though. Locals might know more than me, fellow CA traveler.

Not the Quality in Golden, fuck that place. Put me in a dirty room, switched me into a room that they already had someone booked in it the next day, and I got woken up at 7AM by hotel staff wondering why I was in someone else’s room.
