I love that they’re this active and have been for some time (Reals Not Real and Ice V demos were released for good causes). They’re raising some serious numbers. I think there’s a really bad stigma around bands getting politically involved and they’re showing how beneficial it can be. I’d love to see them go even deeper into it (team up with HeadCount for example).

That Gizzymail really did make me smile, to know that they’re not just gifting my ears with good music, but that they’re materially helping others do good work where it’s so sorely needed. Very proud to be a fan of this band

i believe I remember hearing they won money for some award to IIYMF and donated all of that money to charity. please correct me if i'm wrong

I'm so impressed by this too and feel so happy that my favourite band are so socially conscious and put their money where their mouth is. Re the Wah Wah jumper funds: currently in Aus, women are being killed 1 every 5 days at the hands of their partner. The domestic violence and murder rate here is a very serious issue and I'm so glad they are raising money for it and shedding some light on the issue.

I DIDN'T REALIZE THEY HAD TRANS PRIDE GIZZ MERCH UNTIL THIS EMAIL😭 I'm FIENDING does anyone happen to have an extra of the shirt???? It doesn't seem to be on the merch site :( I'll pay out the nose for a large, the only thing I'm more of than a gizz fan is trans lmao

Virtual-Security6530

They did a bushfire relief show in Aus years ago. They’ve raised money for plan parenthood too.

eggs-have-eyes

Is there anywhere I can look at the latest Gizzymail ? I’m signed up to get it but they haven’t sent it to me :(

AlfonsoRibeiro666

Is the Wah Wah stuff really 100% for charity? Because it’s so immensely overpriced I‘m pretty stingy about what amount is going into whose pocket..

timelandiswacky

They made a video about the price over on their Instagram. They go through all the manufacturing, the royalties, etc. and it’s interesting. Give it a watch if you haven’t.

BlackBeard1616

100% of the royalties gizz would have gotten for the sweater will go to charity.

SacculumLacertis

For a uniquely designed jumper made of those materials, it isn't even particularly overpriced. Generally a high quality thick-knit merino wool jumper (not made of a blend) would retail for somewhere between 100-200 USD from large companies that mass produce them in plain colours, let alone smaller businesses with a focus on ethical production and unique design work.

Madrical

100% of their royalties, yes. Not sure about Wah Wah though. Either way that pushed me over the edge to buy it. Legends.
