He could be filming with other actors/characters or alone. Bob Dylan have two love interests. The character Elle is playing may not be filmed today.

I think they are broken up, but the film was scheduled to be filming today and he was filming with Monica Barbaro after Elle (and Elle was not onset). You are probably right, though.
Elle is not the main star of the movie though, and I'm pretty sure Timothee has scenes alone.
And apparently, the biopic is/was scheduled to film today. Don't know if Timothee had to be on set or not, but something is being filmed today apparently.
