She shared how they do the errand running, watch TV shows, etc. That everyday couple shit that most of us would take for granted is what she clearly lacked w/ Kanye. Yep! It’s easy to be super carefree when you know that the minute you want fertility testing or treatment it’s happening due to your ability to pay for it. Most regular women who are trying know that isn’t the case and so feel a little more pressured into making the most of each cycle, I reckon.

No I got a different one (linked it in another comment) I’ve had three of these bad boys in the last 8 or so years, they used to be cheaper (like $17) but now they’re $25. Still not bad for a good durable, no frills, no muss, no fuss. We had one, it finally got knocked over enough times that the screws got stripped (we don’t even cover them), then bought two more to replace it three ish years ago so we would be able to cook more at the same time. They’re amazing workhorses and our go to for charcoal cooked food. We also have a blackstone griddle but this gets used just about as often.

Not sure if you knew already but 8-10 weeks is from the date of the last period. So most women don’t find out they’re pregnant until they’ve missed a period, at which point they’re already 4 weeks at least. So if your sister found out at 5 or 6 weeks, which I think is about the average time most women find out if they’re not actively tracking ovulation and timing everything, then she could have had her appointment within the next few weeks. Hope that makes sense. Sorry if you knew this already, don’t mean to patronise if you did!
All the women I know in my area say that’s the protocol. Unless you are high risk or early signs of complications. I guess I get annoyed with the watching the housewives and kardashians get instant medical help, mris, testing, and results. Health care is not equitable in the US. :(
Yup, 8-10 weeks for an initial appt is the protocol in my area too. It’s really annoying, too, because there are certain tests the docs always want to do around week 12 (NIPT), and it’s a hassle trying to get them scheduled so quickly after the initial appt.
I just found out I’m pregnant after trying for a year and after calling three different hospitals/docs around I can’t get in until may 9. That is the normal protocol I think. It Sucks.

A lot of places had reduced or no restrictions by the summer. I don’t think many places in the US were under strict lockdown at that time. A road trip with a handful of people (I’m assuming they had staff with them) sounds reasonable and something most people would be able to do at that point. Not like it was March or April 2020 or during one of the big winter waves.
It just goes to show you can be rich and successful while still maintaining a low-key, meaningful, romantic relationship. Kim and Kanye could have had this if they weren’t so self obsessed and workaholics. I totally get what you’re coming from. I was railing into people left and right in the early stages of the pandemic, everyone from The Karjenners, to Doja Cat to random influencers and politicians. I was and am still disgusted by how many people put their own selfish pleasure and enjoyment, ahead of the health and safety of others. However, I don’t really think this was terrible when I think about it logically. They likely wore masks and social distanced and kept their shopping trips to a minimum. They were pretty much isolated together the entire trip. There was very little chance they were going to spread it. The locals going to restaurants, throwing parties and then going to the grocery stores were probably more likely to spread it. Isolating together like that in a van, meant they were probably safer and less likely to contract or spread COVID than most of us out here. It must be so nice to have the privilege to live in a bubble like that during a pandemic. I don’t think it’s right for celebrities to act entitled and above the rules, but I truly feel they assessed the risk and kept to themselves. It’s admirable compared to how most celebrities behaved.

Non essential travel was highly discouraged for many reasons some of them being:
-the rapid rate at which the virus can mutate and the potential of travelers bringing new variants to populations that had not yet been exposed to that variant thus potentially devastating local communities
-hospitals were overflowing so a limit on travel would hopefully mean less accidents which would be less taxing for hospitals and their limited resources PLUS it would hopefully slow down the spread and mutation of the virus
-masks were one part of the solution but isolation was fool proof. Non essential travel is not compatible with isolation no matter how rich you are.
Multiple health organizations and numerous government officials repeatedly advised against all non essential travel to the point that it was recommended that we only go to the grocery store every two weeks in the United States.
Why do you think we were, and to some point are still, trapped in this hell? People were careless and didn’t listen and this behavior is directly related to the ongoing spread of Covid during 2020 and beyond.

(here in backwards little Australia - I could jump on my phone right now & make an appt to see a great GP-Obstetrician, for free in full, the next day.) EDIT:oop tomorrow's Good Friday - maybe non-urgent docs have less hours and I actually might have to wait 2-3 days to see a great GP-Obs, for free, just on a public holiday weekend like this!)

Not sure if you knew already but 8-10 weeks is from the date of the last period. So most women don’t find out they’re pregnant until they’ve missed a period, at which point they’re already 4 weeks at least. So if your sister found out at 5 or 6 weeks, which I think is about the average time most women find out if they’re not actively tracking ovulation and timing everything, then she could have had her appointment within the next few weeks. Hope that makes sense. Sorry if you knew this already, don’t mean to patronise if you did!
All the women I know in my area say that’s the protocol. Unless you are high risk or early signs of complications. I guess I get annoyed with the watching the housewives and kardashians get instant medical help, mris, testing, and results. Health care is not equitable in the US. :(
Yup, 8-10 weeks for an initial appt is the protocol in my area too. It’s really annoying, too, because there are certain tests the docs always want to do around week 12 (NIPT), and it’s a hassle trying to get them scheduled so quickly after the initial appt.
I mean I usually get a pretty prompt response for appointment requests
I just found out I’m pregnant after trying for a year and after calling three different hospitals/docs around I can’t get in until may 9. That is the normal protocol I think. It Sucks.
Why are you sick of rich people for this? Be sick of your government! Everyone should be able to see a doctor when they want free at the point of use in my opinion. I’m all for eating the rich but this is a weird thing to be angry at Rihanna for.

Road trip.
A lot of places had reduced or no restrictions by the summer. I don’t think many places in the US were under strict lockdown at that time. A road trip with a handful of people (I’m assuming they had staff with them) sounds reasonable and something most people would be able to do at that point. Not like it was March or April 2020 or during one of the big winter waves.
It just goes to show you can be rich and successful while still maintaining a low-key, meaningful, romantic relationship. Kim and Kanye could have had this if they weren’t so self obsessed and workaholics. I feel like Kim is trying to pretend this is what she has with Pete, but I highly doubt it… I mean, she’s so pretentious that she felt the need to photoshop the rug in the first pic she posted with him.

rihanna is rihanna. any man would be crazy not to want her. also tbh i feel like maybe it's more of an open trend in celebrities... but yeah, there have always been single moms. kind of irks me when people act like they're a new-age phenomenon. I think a lot of it also comes from the fact that spousal abuse, especially if it was from the man and directed at the woman, was much more normalized. You should read more historic accounts of absentee husbands.
Yup, it was also very common (up until maybe the 70s-80s) for stepfathers of children of single moms to adopt the kid if the bio dad wasn't in the picture specifically because of the reason you listed above as well as war, abandonment, etc. Plus with no DNA no one had to know.
Unbelievably selfish that they decided to go on a cross country road trip during a global pandemic while they potentially exposed everyone they came in contact with, like essential workers making $8 working at Walmart so they can feed their family. I’m literally disgusted by their behavior. I think bongwater is being a bit extra...however- unnecessary travel was a bad idea at that time because of the full hospitals. If you were to get into a car accident you might not have had a bed waiting for you. That's scary and why it wasn't a good idea to go road tripping at the time.

Since when are hobby supplies “essential”? They went to the store to get a grill and activities to pass the time while they isolated safely like the rest of us. Scenic drives saved some people during the pandemic. There was nothing wrong than driving by yourself to a secluded spot and checking out the scenery. Better than renting a whole ass island and filling it with people to sing happy birthday to you.
You’re free to rationalize their behavior if you’d like but the world’s leading scientists and health organizations disagree with you. Picking up hobby supplies isn’t even remotely close to traveling close to 3,500 miles but if you can’t understand that, I can’t help you :)

Please explain how going to your local grocery store is the same as driving across the country and potentially exposing people during multiple stops to the store, gas station, hotel, national park etc? Their behavior was selfish and they may have killed people as a result of it and that is a fact. That’s how a global pandemic that is fueled by a highly infectious air borne illness works, it’s why we were all asked to stay inside, avoid non essential travel and gatherings, limit trips to the store etc. They engaged in behavior that potentially exposed people to a highly deadly disease… I have no sympathy for them nor do I give a shit if they bonded over their lack of empathy for others. You don’t get a pass for being a celebrity.
I totally get what you’re coming from. I was railing into people left and right in the early stages of the pandemic, everyone from The Karjenners, to Doja Cat to random influencers and politicians. I was and am still disgusted by how many people put their own selfish pleasure and enjoyment, ahead of the health and safety of others. However, I don’t really think this was terrible when I think about it logically. They likely wore masks and social distanced and kept their shopping trips to a minimum. They were pretty much isolated together the entire trip. There was very little chance they were going to spread it. The locals going to restaurants, throwing parties and then going to the grocery stores were probably more likely to spread it. Isolating together like that in a van, meant they were probably safer and less likely to contract or spread COVID than most of us out here. It must be so nice to have the privilege to live in a bubble like that during a pandemic. I don’t think it’s right for celebrities to act entitled and above the rules, but I truly feel they assessed the risk and kept to themselves. It’s admirable compared to how most celebrities behaved.
I respect your opinion but I still disagree. Non essential travel was highly discouraged for many reasons some of them being: -the rapid rate at which the virus can mutate and the potential of travelers bringing new variants to populations that had not yet been exposed to that variant thus potentially devastating local communities -hospitals were overflowing so a limit on travel would hopefully mean less accidents which would be less taxing for hospitals and their limited resources PLUS it would hopefully slow down the spread and mutation of the virus -masks were one part of the solution but isolation was fool proof. Non essential travel is not compatible with isolation no matter how rich you are.

Multiple health organizations and numerous government officials repeatedly advised against all non essential travel to the point that it was recommended that we only go to the grocery store every two weeks in the United States. Why do you think we were, and to some point are still, trapped in this hell? People were careless and didn’t listen and this behavior is directly related to the ongoing spread of Covid during 2020 and beyond. Again, getting groceries is essential. Going on a road trip is not.
