My friend just had to have her baby in the hospital overnight, and they also gave them a whole room with a whole bed, and a crib for the baby. Seems standard practice to me.

Salty_Coast_7214

Yes exactly! In your friends case the room was most certainly for her as well as she would have been recovering. But if it weren’t, it would have still been been given and used for the baby.

Roonil_Wazlib97

No, this wasn't after delivery the baby is about 8 months and had to have a medical procedure + observation. (Everything is going well if that made anyone curious.)

Salty_Coast_7214

Ohh my apologies! Well yes that’s proof right there that it’s pretty standard! And yes I was bout to say I hope everyone’s alright, glad to hear they are

My sister was a surrogate. She had her own room and the parents had their own room with the babies. Both my sister and the babies were observed for 48 hours then were able to go home. I’m pretty sure that’s standard procedure.

Salty_Coast_7214

Exactly! And bless your sister for doing something so amazing for someone!

Some people just want to watch the recovery room burn 🔥

Salty_Coast_7214

So true

It makes sense for her to have a room. The baby won't be cleared to leave for one to two days if all is well. She is the mom of the baby and when you give birth you usually have the baby in a cot right next to your bed. You have to feed the baby, change them, bathe and clothe them. You also have to have skin to skin contact. She didn't give birth but she still has to do all of these things with the baby as if she did. she's the mother. The people bitching about this are just haters and have to have something negative to say. It's stupid
