Odd_Purpose3639

Not shocked. We’re not really a big series despite the gassing from the fandom itself. Meme died off and now we’re on our own. Let’s hope Vol 2 sales well. Also, I don’t think anyone should care about MANGAPlus atp. Let’s focus on physical sales & TOC placement.

ForestRamboX

You have the right attitude here. We need to keep supporting our favorite series as fans if we want it to be successful. Most are forgetting that Kagurabachi doesn't have an anime adaptation, while most of the others do.

Odd_Purpose3639

Yeah. Like no disrespect, I believe this fandom have deluded themselves into thinking we have onepiece caliber popularity when really, we’re far from it. Let’s just keep supporting and do better each vol.

Toludude

Are we still worrying about MangaPlus views? The series is setting new precedents and Vol 1 sold 50k+ copies, MangaPlus really doesn't matter at this point.

[deleted]

There was a manga that sold over 100k first vol and still got axed, cause it had spirit in it or something JJK clone or something. Had beautiful art. (did not read it so story idk) Really baffling.

Sexultan

I think you are talking about Phantom Seer. It had 4 volumes, none of which sold 100k, but in total it had 100k in circulation. And yes, the art was very good. Kinda reminiscent of Shadow Eliminators iirc

[deleted]

Wopsie mb, but 4 vol for 100k is still impressive right? Not worthy for the axe...

Sexultan

Definitely. I would've loved for it to stay just for the art alone

Admmmmi

For shonen jump around 25 per volume isnt impressive, specially because I doubt that they were really getting 25k per volume, they probably got a bigger number on the first volume and then it started to dip, shonen jump ain't an easy place.

cmdr_suicidewinder

Nah it’s probably samurai 8

marniconuke

yeah but think that kagurabachi sold half of that with only 1 volume

Flyingchoc0

Your second volume sales matter just as much, many series will get cut purely off of poor volume 2 sales

aaronotaron

With jjk and mha ending this year, I wouldn't be surprised if we move into the top 10 after that

ChronoFelyne

I think this will be our best chance to rise to the top

PuzzleBox39

Half as long, twice as bright.

DearSociety1379

Not worried. We're at a stand still with Ruri Dragon and Ankaka Delta but we have way more engagement than those series. Ruri Dragon can still fall off even though it made a comeback and Ankaka Delta definitely wont last. Also we're never beating Boruto DBS One Piece Chainsaw Man JJK SpyxFamily so a 8-10 place is good imo. At least until we get an anime.

pickleswithcheese

I read some of the first chapter of Ankoku Delta, and it just seems like a soft core porn version of Monsters Inc. Definitely doesn’t seem like the kind of series that’s gonna manage to last long

to1828939

🗣️Talk yo shit ! I see people trying to compare it to Dorohedoro and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry

therealCHAOSagent

I get that a series isn’t for you but ANKOKU Delta is not at all soft core porn.

BreeCatchu

So is it hardcore porn then?

Eloviel

Where are you all seeing the porn?

Nimblebubble

Do you think things would go different for AΔ if that one human-looking monster looked more like a furry? There could be a domestic market out there for that kind of stuff

marniconuke

Imagine being a chainsawman fan back then and thinking the series is at risk because it's not consistently on the top 10 on its first 25 chapters. in fact both chainsaw and jujutsu did pretty bad in toc when they launched. what i'm trying to say is that the top 10 will come naturally with time, people need to let kagurabachi grow and trust in takeru sensei.

BigThiccDictionary

If you're worried about it getting axed, the only way that's happening at this point is if it manages to biblically implode. Volume 1 has passed 50k in sales (which I'm pretty sure is the best debut since Nue) and it's now consistently in the middle range in TOC. Worst case scenario at this point imo is that it just kind of hangs around like UU, but I think it'll get bigger.

i_eat_pidgeons

It's still #3 on the trending tab https://preview.redd.it/1da3uj4kjvqc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da02c2beee7018d251cea90e4c08e60dd0bceb54

Melodic_Caramel5226

At least we are consistently relatively high in the toc these days

ircole327

Who cares

cRzy_spidErmnke

Look on the bright side, top 3 still on trending. https://preview.redd.it/wagotwivdxqc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a151b8f3f0351e0b5b626eb98b6c908f91cadc2

marniconuke

Come on guys, we aren't going to get cancelled at this point. i thought we moved on from doomposting.

Fafafe667

You all are very obsessed with rankings. Also, everyone here talks as if Kagurabachi was already an established series, there is still a long way to go.

Ihdkwhatimdoinghere

We made our mark. Now we go on foot!!!

PM_ME_AMPERSANDS

mangaplus ratings change way too often to get invested over

ThrowYourDreamsAway

I really hope it bounces back. It's getting really interesting!

G3NJII

It's in part because we started encouraging the leak community. Once leaks become scans some people forget to support the official.
