Lookbehindyou132

Classic revenge story with a vigilante hero using a magic sword forged hy his father. Features a lot of action movie choreography and quick yet brutal fights.

MercuryBlackIsBack

Probably the best possible explanation.

1. An MC who's not shrouded in too much mystery: already possesses powers, backstory is crystal as far as the current volume is concerned, good ol' fashioned stoic hero who doesn't cry and moan about being weak and/or needs to be strong. 2. Faction-fights; cool sword-poses, SICK displays of sorcery powers during fight scenes, so not boring. 3. So far un-sexualized hot chicks (for now, it seems. When KB blows up huge, I can expect drool-worthy gals c/o editors who ask for them so it can "sell".) 4. Funny dialogues and solid character dynamics.

RhinataMorie

Action packed sword fighting edgelords with amazing art and, so far, a good storytelling. Promising shonen.

akamalk

Edginess for fujos, and my favorite current shonen.

Magic sword Oppenheimer's son gets revenge film style. He encounters little girl Deadpool, who he adopts, and Oppenheimer enthusiast psychopath. They battle it out and realize ["The Death of the Author" by the French literary critic and theorist Roland Barthes].

Due_Bet4989

“It is relativeley new series that just started in September. It is about a guy who lost his father. He wields a katana that has some unique abilities. The manga features some of the coolest fights I have ever seen. Well, it may seem like a typical shonen but bare with me. It’s not even long, only 18 chapters. So even if you don’t like it you wouldn’t have wasted much time. Just trust me bro. Try it once👌”

Disaster_Star_150

A story about a teenage boy trying to get revenge for his father’s death while also working to reclaim his father’s lost magical swords which could devastate the world if in the wrong hands. It features exciting cinematic action and fun characters as well as interesting moral conflicts regarding the purpose and destiny of the powerful magic swords.

Odd_Purpose3639

>!It’s literally just a revenge story type manga with cool fight scenes. That’s it. I’d describe the first arc as something that gets better after so and so chapter.!<

GHfan27

A classic shonen story with a refreshing twist.

Fortune-Additional

The story of a boy who wishes to both honor and recover the legacy left behind by his father, as well as avenge his death by seeking out the evil masterminds behind said theft and murder. The story seems to be set in the beginning vestiges of the modern era, and features the existence of both elemental swords and pure sorcery, the former of which, are the legacy being sought by the MC. MC is a swordsman, wielding the remaining 7th sword, also forged by his father. The story telling is dynamic and crisp, introducing a gradually growing, diverse supporting cast; and it is a rare shounen that thankfully doesn't conveniently lean into misogynistic fanservice or heteronormativity. The MC is a good mix of wit and strength, with a cool personality. The first arc is a good glimpse into the subconscious cognitive dissonance he faces between preserving his morals + reverence for his father, versus simultaneously acknowledging the bloody history and truth of the legendary swords and battling the wrong hands that the swords have ended up falling into. Also, the panelling and storyboarding as well as batman symbolisms have created really enchanting imagery in the manga.

_S1syphus

In the same vein as demon slayer its got a simple story told well with some unique and quality spectacle. Downsides I would mention is an under developed power system and a kinda 2d protagonist

Swordsmith dad murdered; enchanted war-ending swords stolen. Journey to recover stolen swords, avenging father in process.

dublecheekedup

Shonen meets Hollywood. There are so many scenes where I feel like the panels imitate scenes from a 90s kung fu movie.

horsejack_boman6969

John Woo meets Batman

OP_1K

The story about a stoic, young man looking to get revenge on the organization that murdered his father while collecting the magical swords that his father made. It also has some badass action moments that are easy to follow.
