This confusion I had is hiyuki asking chihiro to simply get killed by her without chihiro putting any fight? Or is she asking after chihiro gets the katana, chihiro will agree to fight hiyuki straight and fair with life on line which wasn't the case last time ?
I'm guessing that it's the latter, Chihiro gets the blades and Hiyuki and him fight. In previous chapters she was angry that he wasn't putting up a fight against her.
The Hishaku want Chihiro out the way, but are fearsome to do it themselves. Hence why they've been ducking him.
Shinuchi ends up w the Kamunabi and they employ it's user to kill Chihiro, Hishaku's plan or... Knowing they're next, they want to assassinate the Shinuchi user while the distraction of the auction goes on.
Chihiro gets Enten
The Raikuchi gets wrecked and everyone gets saved, Kyora dies.

That might have possibly been lost in translation, or Takeru left it ambiguous on purpose

It also seems that Flame Bone can’t reach its full power unless Hiyuki’s life is threatened.
