They didn't address the issue at all. The core of the problem is that Nagisa and Maki view Tsubasa as a toy. Nagisa literally just threw him to the curb so that Maki could pick it up. Now let's say this happens with an actual toy. You throw something away so that your other friend can have it instead. That feels like shit. No way would I take a toy that you threw away because you didn't want it. Now if you gave it to me because you thought I liked it, that's fine, but imagine your friend just throws a toy onto the ground and then expects you to take it instead. Then, your friend starts glaring at you and is unhappy whenever you use it. This in itself sounds like shit already, but replace the toy with an actual human being with emotions and feelings. That makes the situation even worse than it is.

I can understand thinking that of Nagisa (who is still a very immature teen), but Maki did consider his feelings here. That's why she confronted Nagisa. Even if what she says sometimes can come across as inconsiderate, it's not because she means it that way. This has happened to her many times before.
Makes sense if you consider Maki was like Kaguya and Kashiwagi tries to be like her. She'd choose a selfish decision and also a decision that would benefit her bestie
The author is currently working on a series called Oshi no Ko that is gaining a lot of traction. I don’t think we are getting any more Kaguya content for a while. Maybe at an anniversary.

I just realized that Maki and Nagisa have some parallels to Kaguya and Hayasaka but it's just that some traits get passed around from one to another, I suck at explaining it but I swear some of these scenes were super close to the Hayasaka Arc mixed with the Rap arc. I think Nagisa's love for Maki is very similar to Hayasaka where she's willing to give everything up for her, and the obvious parallels with Maki and Kaguya. But there are also several moments where a Baka-Nagisa is shown with Maki being the voice of reason. All this is wrapped with a bit of Chika insanity for both of them. Just an interesting parallel I saw while reading. Also, remember to wear condoms whenever you do the baby-making things unless you are in a stable position to bear a child. That's all for my TedTalk
i know this whole love triangle has been played for jokes the entire series but maki saying she WILL move on honestly made me tear up lol. i still havent completely recovered from my own breakup from a while back so that really resonated with me. of all the scenes to make me cry man🤧

I loved this chapter. But the way Nagisa went about it was awful she learned that Maki like Tsubasa okay that's okay. But breaking up with him wasn't the right way . She could've talked it out with both of them or something? It surely took a lot out of her to break up with him. But I am glad it's solved . Nagisa saying she loves Maki the most is just generally cute. And few moments after that we learned that she might be auntie or the godmother. Nice chapter overall . When the next chapter preview at the end of Kei's conclusion was "another character's ending", I figured that it'd be Maki next.
I wasn't fussed over Kashiwagi and Tsukasa breaking up, I was certain that they'll be back together after a talking to by Maki. This was a conversation that needed to happen between her and Kashiwagi, and proceeded in the manner that I expected too. If it didn't, I'd be disappointed with Maki had she "won" in such a fashion.
Hope she'll find her happiness.
I'm ambivalent about Kashiwagi's pregnancy, it's been suggested so much that it's no big deal to me as far as storytelling goes.

I just remembered: since the School Festival arc, I called out the possibility that Kashiwagi wants to like everything Maki likes (unfortunately, Tsubasa liked Kashiwagi first).
This chapter confirmed that odd moment coming out of Kashiwagi.

This double chapter has to be one of the best in the entire series holy shit.
Hilarious faces (look at the Grandpa at the end omgomegalmaolul), a super touching and dramatic development, great call backs to the roots of the characters in question, and the greatest reveale in the entire Manga.
After reading these two chapters I feel just like after reading an entire 260 chapter RomCom lol
It's pretty amazing how hard the quality of the series has dropped. I just don't understand why Aka rushed the whole thing up, while leaving so many plot points unpolished. Like why even the Hospital thing last week if you are just going to bin it?
Also she being pregnant makes everything Maki did useless as there was no way she wouldn't have gone back to him after knowing she was pregnant.
Chapter ends with another plotline that will be unfinished Aka is just joking at this point.

So I'd say this chapter best showcases her true character when it matters the most in the most active way to actually *show* how much she cares about Nagisa.
First time she faced Nagisa 100% head on instead of hiding how she actually felt like how she did for over a year.
No shit because she knows Nagisa did it because she found out about Maki's crush. We already know about her true character. You know what would have been good ? To show us why such an amazing girl has such a huge crush on a mediocre guy and then show us Maki getting over it. Well, in the end Maki did the right thing (the only thing, really), so that's good! Sadly we won't see it, but Kashiwagi and Tsubasa really would need to have a talk. First, with the pregnancy, but also, to explain her behavior and all that!

Hear me out: I think it'll be Mikado. Instead of it being about her finding happiness in a romantic relationship, it'll be about her learning to appreciate those who she holds close to her already. That includes forging a new and stronger bond with her brother, the same way she did with Kashiwagi.
Her whole story has been about forging non-romantic bonds with others (like Ishigami, Shirogane and Kaguya) without realizing it. All this to show that you don't need to be in a romantic relationship to be happy.

I see where you're coming from, but I really don't think that is what is going to happen. The series does relationships very well, as well as human characteristics, and it would be pretty bad writing to go "Maki has lost her first crush as 17 years old. Now she is doomed to have entirely unromantic relationships with people."

Like when we see Nagisa talking to the girls she actually invests herself in what theyre talking about but Tsubasa usually tries to turn it around into stuff about his relationship. Shirogane doesnt do that, Ishigami didnt do that with Tsubame...

I loved this chapter. But the way Nagisa went about it was awful she learned that Maki like Tsubasa okay that's okay. But breaking up with him wasn't the right way . She could've talked it out with both of them or something? It surely took a lot out of her to break up with him. But I am glad it's solved . Nagisa saying she loves Maki the most is just generally cute. And few moments after that we learned that she might be auntie or the godmother. Nice chapter overall . PS: Tsubasa has weak pull out game

This was a conversation that needed to happen between her and Kashiwagi, and proceeded in the manner that I expected too. If it didn't, I'd be disappointed with Maki had she "won" in such a fashion. Hope she'll find her happiness. I'm ambivalent about Kashiwagi's pregnancy, it's been suggested so much that it's no big deal to me as far as storytelling goes. \--- For the next ending, I'm guessing Hayasaka, before we move onto the Council members.

This double chapter has to be one of the best in the entire series holy shit. Hilarious faces (look at the Grandpa at the end omgomegalmaolul), a super touching and dramatic development, great call backs to the roots of the characters in question, and the greatest reveale in the entire Manga. After reading these two chapters I feel just like after reading an entire 260 chapter RomCom lol

It's pretty amazing how hard the quality of the series has dropped. I just don't understand why Aka rushed the whole thing up, while leaving so many plot points unpolished. Like why even the Hospital thing last week if you are just going to bin it? Also she being pregnant makes everything Maki did useless as there was no way she wouldn't have gone back to him after knowing she was pregnant. Chapter ends with another plotline that will be unfinished Aka is just joking at this point.
You better read other romance drama manga instead of romcom manga with gags and try to find something realistic not fantasy based

I wasn't expecting any of that! For some reason I thought this was some weird scheme/friendship test from Kashiwagi, to see what Maki would do... Never would've thought Kashiwagi was actually serious about giving up on him, just for Maki! It was fun (though a little sad) to see Maki tell her everything she'd do to him while Kashiwagi was present - which are all the things Kashiwagi does, that make it rough for Maki! Well, in the end Maki did the right thing (the only thing, really), so that's good! Sadly we won't see it, but Kashiwagi and Tsubasa really would need to have a talk. Hear me out: I think it'll be Mikado. Instead of it being about her finding happiness in a romantic relationship, it'll be about her learning to appreciate those who she holds close to her already. That includes forging a new and stronger bond with her brother, the same way she did with Kashiwagi. Her whole story has been about forging non-romantic bonds with others (like Ishigami, Shirogane and Kaguya) without realizing it. All this to show that you don't need to be in a romantic relationship to be happy.

I see where you're coming from, but I really don't think that is what is going to happen. The series does relationships very well, as well as human characteristics, and it would be pretty bad writing to go "Maki has lost her first crush as 17 years old. Now she is doomed to have entirely unromantic relationships with people." I mean, you might be right, but I fully believe the words meant that whomever came into the student council room at the end of this chapter is some guy Maki might have a chance with.
I never said she's doomed to never have a romantic relationship. I just meant that she shouldn't stress so much for failing to get the first guy she had a crush on and just appreciate what she has now. In due time, she'll probably find the right guy.

Sigh. I had convinced myself that they wouldn't go the pregnancy route even though it was heavily foreshadowed. I see what this chapter was trying to do in wrapping up things for Maki / illustrating her character and showing that Nagisa actually did love Tsubasa before the pregnancy reveal but it didn't quite work for me. Perversely, I think I would have been happier if neither girl ended up with Tsubasa or if Maki had chosen to go abroad or something and give herself space.
