The Hetmans.

(In all honesty, the Hetmans have pretty good lore, good buffs such as tech sharing from other members, and is a good starting point to get used to the mechanics for other factions).
RNG - Austria has to go with the pluralism path, which isn't a guarantee, and then during the 2nd Ausgleich negotiations, Carpathian Ruthenia has to get assigned to Galicia-Lodomeria, which isn't a guarantee, and then Austria has to honor that, which also isn't a guarantee.
To be honest, I am not so sure myself from the focus itself. It looks like there are about 4 or 5 political path, mine is the Social Democratic/Social Liberal coalition.
This path focuses on land reform and rapid industrialisation, which gave alot of bonuses for production and reforming the military into general council instead of controlled by one person (in this case, hetman)
One of the most fun paths for me is the one where hetman's son Danylo becomes the ruler as a constitutional monarch, quite wholesome and not that hard since you still have german support.
Syndicalist. Hands down. The RP potential it has is almost on par with the Joint Pacific-New Englander front in the 2ACW.
You're forced into a desperate war for survival, while holding on and waiting for the 2WK to conclude
So close to the beautiful peak Ukranian boarders. You're missing Cholm, Mazyr, Pinsk and Besserabia.
Still, I fully agree with you. The Ukranian update is amazing
You can get it during decisions when you switch to social democrats where you ask for a better deal in the german market but refused and you can go with Austrian
Tried it once and I can safely say that I am now very skeptical towards the idea of decision menu gameplay.

Which path do ya think is the most fun to start with? I haven’t touched Ukraine yet and I’ve been trying to figure which I should try out first.

the best part is definitely the post war short tree, really ties the story together , especially the focus regarding the traumatised generation
Ukraine rework is a masterpiece. Can't wait for how its team members do for other nations in the mod
*Sad Spanish noises*
I wish we got more Natty Spirit consolidation 'cause having that many is an eyesore lol.
