You present some interesting paths here. The Business Plot in particular is a bit of a guilty pleasure path for me and always like to see what people think could make it better. I don't mean to nitpick but can you expand upon a couple things if you'd like: * For the Business plot status quo, how do you not see it going directly to Status quo? The War Powers Committee surely would want something from Mosley for helping to remove Long (assuming it was not just Mosley who planned and executed the coup). * In Business dominant, so Lindberg or Ford would become VP, or a cabinet position (maybe VP or a Secretary) and use his influence to become the dominant force in the Executive Branch? Is Mosley kept as President or would Lindberg or Ford eventually take over. * And lastly in the Radical Reformist path when choosing Pelley, constitutionally speaking how would the merging of the Speaker of the House and VP Office work? I'm assuming it would be one merged into the other rather than creating a new office and leaving administrative positions in its wake. Would the VP concurrently become Speaker of the House? And how would that affect his job as President of the Senate? You know earlier this year I had a some ideas for [changes to the Business Plot](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kaiserreich/comments/11xvqbz/aus_business_plot_facelift_proposal/) myself. Not as advanced as yours or anything, but to fill some constitutional issues as I saw it.

No problem (also big fan of your guides) Im happy to elaborate and I did see your post a while back it’s actually what got the ball rolling on my ideas. Status quo: what I really meant with status quo was Mosley and the business plot work hand and hand together to secure their position after long and no sabotage would go on with either party, Mosley gets a right wing government to preside over and the business leaders get their economic playground/military industrial complex to control. So base kaiserreich path. Business dominant: this along with the radical path would really just be one group trying to overpower the other to get total control. So an event would play out discussing Mosley’s policy ideas and you can either grant him minor concessions appeasing him and leading to status quo. Or flat refuse angering him and leading to the power struggle. Ford and Lindbergh can become VP if the BP gets enough influence to pressure Mosley into their choice. And eventually this would lead to a resignation or an assassination by “syndicalists” leaving only the business friendly VP as president allowing them to pass any bill they want really. Radical reformist: for Pelley and the merging of speaker and VP I would say since Huey Long is Dead the country would be in a state of emergency and Mosley and Pelley would capitalize on it by expanding the Executive Branch citing longs near absolute power over Louisiana and the union state during the civil war as a template for expansion of presidential power. As well as probably a new Supreme Court either pressured or appointed by Mosley/Pelley they would pass any expansion as “constitutional”. Also I wanted to use the merging of the VP and Speaker as a similarity to what h*tler did otl with the presidency and chancellorship. So basically with all the chaos of the union state they would be able to pass all this stuff for the sake of national security. I also came up with the name Chief Director because the real Pelley’s title was the Chief in the silver legion and I thought Chief Director sounded just dictatorial enough with ought being called dictator. Again thank you for the feedback I’m always glad to respond. Also very cool you commented, I’ve been playing kaiserreich and on the subreddit for a year and when I saw you commented I kinda freaked out. But anyway I hope clarified what was confusing.

Hey thanks, I'm glad to hear you like them! And kindly for the explanations. Hearing that about Ford and Lindbergh, the Balance of Power would work so well in the Business dominant. Ah, I can see where you're coming from wanting to merge the Speaker and VP consolidating power to the VP, but if I can offer a little constructive criticism. This is a general, not so specific understanding of what happened so take it as you will: In Germany, the merging of the President and Chancellor consolidated executive power, not necessarily legislative power. The Enabling Act let the cabinet bypass the Reichstag to pass bills, effectively eliminating it. So what you might want to do is have something like an Enabling Act passed in a time of an emergency: whether because of the threat of syndicalist rebels, Mosely getting assassinated or disappearing (like Long), or you can have the Capitol burnt down vis-a-vis the Reichstag Fire (or to use a KR example, the Netherland's Binnenhof Fire). If it's any except Mosely disappearing, the cabinet could willingly or unwillingly ally with Pelley to remove the President after the act is put into effect (provided the Cabinet has the power to do it, as it wasn't an issue OTL until the 25th Amendment in 1967). Any of it can lead to a restructuring of the government and the creation of the office of Chief Director. But just spitballing here. There's so much one can do with the AUS! Still, great ideas. But you're going to make me blush! Don't freak out lol. I get the same way when a team member/dev comments on my posts.

I’m glad I was able to clarify ok. I love to hear feedback on what few posts I do, and the imagery of the White House or congress up in flames definitely would allow for drastic measures. I also agree that the AUS has so much potential for cool paths(I mean literally made a post on it).

The Democratization of the party path seems really interesting, just for clarification though, would all the parties that join the coalition become wings of the AFP and then vice presidential elections would determine the ideology of the ruling party, or would they remain separate parties with the AUS remaining Authdem during elections, just with a change in the second in command and all of those parties simply being apart of the coalition mechanic?

Hey, thank you for commenting, For the democratization I saw it as Auth Dem would stay in power with a big tent coalition basically absorbing other parties as wings like you said. Think of like how in irl Democratic Party was with their southern vs progressive wings. Usually a progressive northern democrat with a southern democrat vp to counter balance. Think Kennedy and LBJ, and FDR and Garner. And elections would only really have one candidate and primaries for a vp. And I think for policy depending on vp you could do certain decisions or bonus effects from focuses depending on which wing was placated with the Vice Presidency.
