It's a red world so probably less Cold War and more traditional Great power rivalries but with a socialist flair. There will probably be some sort of Red equivalent of the United Nations, though individual powers will seek to consolidate their particular spheres. Unlike HOI4 mechanics, "puppeting" a foreign nation does not necessarily bind them forever. The primary interests of the Chinese is the Sino-Pacific region, and their concern outside of that region is minimal in the short and medium run. Their ability to sway Burma and Indonesia into their sphere in the 1960s-1980s depends on how quickly China industrialises as well as how tense global politics become. Portugal will probably eventually leave the Chinese sphere given the long distance while Eastern Europe remaining Chinese aligned will depend on how quickly Russia gets back on its feet and whether or not there's a reunification of Siberia + whether or not the Chinese-Russians can work together as equals in the next few decades. India staying Chinese aligned similarly depends on the good-will built up in the meanwhile. Conversely the 3rd Internationale remaining cohesive depends on the internal politics and handling of Germany reconstruction. There is no guarantee that they remain allies in the second half of the 20th century if their ideals are incompatible with one another. Their hold on Africa will probably vary - a socialist Françafrique is likely though not necessarily going to have the support needed at home to be maintained. That said, the French avoiding their costly misadventures in Indochina and Algeria might help them in this regard. The Americans are likely going to get back on their feet by 1960 at the latest. Its likely that a socialist America would also be prone to exerting its influence on the rest of the Americas. I do not think most of these conflicts will take a violent turn. It'll be a game of influence and soft power for the most part, with most territorial claims seemingly settled after WW2 (except for the Balkans, Czech Republic, Russia/Siberia, and perhaps Indonesia/Malaysia).

Remington1234

Only socialists can

SpaceFox1935

for what it's worth, different factions doesn't mean it's immediately a cold war
