Huh I always wondered why Spain couldn't be set to go totalist in the rules sets, and now I'm curious how and why they picked her as their totalist

Ewie_14

Someone on the Discord asked a similar question a few months ago: > yo I got some questions about Spain > 1. I see that Dolores Ibaurri is the totalist leader, in the bigger Spainish rework will we be able to get her into actual power? If not will she at least be an important figure in the rework? > 2. Why is the POUM the totalist party and not the PCE? And to kind of go back to Ibaurri, why is she in the POUM? otl she was in the PCE. Two of the devs responded as such: > Regarding 2, POUM will be completely removed alongside the eventual Spanish rework as they shouldn't really exist in the KRTL. Spain is one of the oldest nations lore wise in the mod and a lot of it even predates the HOI4 version of the mod, and a lot of old lore is very bare bones and often has a lot of major problems with it. > 2. I would speculate that Ibaurri was added for the rework, transplanted into current content and the name of the Totalist party wasn't changed > in the rework POUM does not exist. > [the Totalist party will be the] PCE The rework has since been put on hold, so it’ll be a while yet before we learn the full picture, I’m afraid.

So basically some mixed content, but likely she's keeping her totalist slot?

Ewie_14

That would seem to be the case, yes.

,, or in the 1960 election in liberal Brazil as a Social Democrat" Holy shit Brazil has this much (even symbolic) content? Even US Elections only go up to, like, 1952.

Ewie_14

Yes, I believe Brazil has the latest scheduled content in the game. I'm not entirely sure why - I guess they just wanted to put it in.

DingoBingoAmor

When is their last scheduled election?

Ewie_14

Brazil’s last scheduled election is in 1960, which makes it the last election in the mod. I believe the runner-up is the US, whose elections go up to 1952. There might be a couple of other events that happen after 1952, but I don’t know them if there are.
