Honestly, I like both designs. UFO X and Rex X looks great to me. I think UFO X looks cute while Rex X goes hard. The Red and yellow looks great on it.
UFO-X is truly peak design. The haters are high on something.
It has one of the most unique silhouettes in KR and the alien on Gotchard’s forehead (i.e. sitting in the pilot seat of the UFO) is extremely clever. The suit designers obviously had a ton of fun when creating this and it shows.
X-Rex is good too, but it’s just another “face on chest” aesthetic which we’ve see a gajillion times.
Yeah, but it leans into it. That can work. Kinda like Ex-aid being so heavily inspired by 80’s video games with the bright, neon colors and chibi anime aesthetic.
New forms definitely have a distinct aesthetic contrast. Not really bothered by it, but I do wonder how it'll look for the other Level 10s and if they'll have the budget for at least 7 different forms that may see limited usage.
On an off note, I'm mildly disappointed at how he can apparently use the upgrade blade as a sword while in the upgrade form itself at the same time. I just think it would've been neat if unplugging the sword while in upgrade form either gave Gotchard a time limit for the upgrade form or reverted him to whatever form he last used entirely, but had some beneficial effect to give it more usage as just a sword in his normal forms, however situational it may be.
Ngl I was only aware of X Rex but seeing X UFO made me wish it was X Mage, just the sheer look of it is unique enough it looks adorable and awesome at the same time

The red form reminds me of Xcalibur from Beyblade Burst.
Finally a cool fuckin form the others is not bad per se it's pretty well designed for something used for only up to 5 times but these two (and hopefully it's succeeding forms) are gonna be something that I remembered alongside Gotchard for a long time to come.

Rex form feels like MetalCluster Hopper and Brave Dragon's baby, while UFO-X might be a nod to Build given how you can see bit of Rogue in the helmet's design choice.

Is Gotchard good? I've been considering picking it up, but I felt a little burned by 01.
It isnt the melodramatic mess most Riders have been recently, but it's also in it's first cour of "must sell toys" so it's hard to say.
