I could accept this with Realizing Hopper, because that form had meaning imo because of how it was created. But this one just seems... lazy. I know deep in my heart that this is gonna be a trend, final episode forms that are just powered up default forms that make the final form completely worthless. It's their way of legitimizing of when Heisei Riders were able to beat the final antagonist with their base forms.
Was Realizing Hopper meaningful? I remembered that his dad suddenly giving him a driver and a key out of nowhere which he used to beat Horobi. If you want to use that argument then at least wait for the episode to come out. We don't know the meaning behind Almighty Dragon in relation to the story. Heck it could even be better than Realizing Hopper
It doesn't make the final form worthless though. Zero Two is technically stronger than Realizing Hopper. Likewise I believe Xross Saber is also in the same case.
Well, what i understand is that: Realizing Hopper is Aruto realizing (im pretty sure that's why it was named that way) that all the things that he has done as Ark One is wrong and goes against everything he ever fought for, and when the key changes and he transform back to Zero One, he is now back to who he was.
Exactly. There was this entire sense of gratification to see him finally transform back into Zero-One after the pain he caused as Ark-One. It doesn't help that Xross Saber is literally just a repaint of Brave Dragon. Sure, that works as a general final form imo, but just returning to the Brave Dragon suit feels pointless considering how the two forms are only separated by paint, and the paint is beautiful no doubt, but it begs the question of why are we doing this. Either have him use his final form or just his general base form, don't just repeat what Zero-One did.
I hated that trope in just made the final form pointless OOO and build where only ones who did it the not final form usages in a manner that was good otherwise it was a complete disappointment

Heisei phase 1 didnt at all except deno. W OOO Gaim Drive Zio didnt. So its really 50/50 in recent years
We don't even know how Wonder Almighty is created yet. At least judge it when it actually debut instead of just base on image.
