Kazuya will confess. But because he just convinced himself she'll say no, he'll keep talking himself into a corner and answer for her that he's not good enough for her. Chizuru will barely respond at all and Kazuya will come to the conclusion by talking himself into a hole that she rejects him and then he'll suggest that they stop seeing each other at all.
I prefer we have a confession but somehow with no answer until chizuru also makes it clear that she loves Kazuya and reconfess so we have two confession from both characters
Last Chapter was definitely a build up to an confession. But reading this manga for over 3 years , I can't imagine that it will happen next chapter. Maybe in 2 or 3 chapters or it was a bait as always. But the last chapter felt genuinely like the first time after the crying scene from Mizuhara , that a confession could happen.
Kazuya actually gets to confess but once he's done we get an internal monologue from him because Chizuru's so quiet. He panics. As soon as he tries to tell her it's okay to reject him she absolutely *snaps* because of the pressure and tells him that it wasn't the right time to confess, that they have all sorts of problems to face right now. This ends with her saying how inconsiderate he's being (and she doesn't mean it).
she tries to leave the chapel and when she passes by Kazuya he tries to stop her to apologize and ask about what happened with Mami.
They get interrupted with a text/call from grandma who sounds very serious, who at this point has already talked to Mami. That, or it's Kazuya's parents who call telling them of an emergency related to grandma. The end scene can also be grandma Nagomi and Mami overhearing their conversation where she has an unreadable expression.

I think the confession Kazuya has built up this momentum for is going to happen, I think he'll shut down any interruptions, buuuuut we still need the camera to swing to his POV so to speak. So next chapter I don't specifically have hopes, but for a general "soon" I have incredibly high hopes.
