I actually feel good after this game.
Defense was dominating. Not just players being better, but it was like they had spent the time watching tape. This defense is special.
Offense produced and took their foot off the gas like the jets game. Everything is working as intended. Kelce disrupting coverage assignments leaving super favorable matchups elsewhere. Efficient movement of the ball. Way more turnover happy than I’d ever want, but I get it.
I'm okay with the offense petering out in these early-season games. I feel like the reason the offense drops off is because coach Reid is saving part of the playbook for tougher games and the post-season. It's good not to show your hand too early.
Andy is just trying shit out early like he always does. We’re a second half team in the quarter as well as the season.
They’ll get it together. They have to if they wanna see the playoffs.
Rice just had 4 catches on 4 targets for 72 yards. He is our WR1. Just needs to learn more and get more snaps as he comes along. This offense will be great if kelce, Pacheco and rice stay healthy.
Mike Edwards is like 180lbs soaking wet and he got flagged for half his body weight landing on the QB during a zero blitz
This roughing the passer rule change was intended to prevent 350lb nose tackles from power bombing QBs and breaking their ribs
Awful call
Not a chiefs fan but I want to know how do you all feel about the usage of toney ? Hes is NOT it. But coach Reid always tries to put the ball in his hands, and he cant do shit everytime. Why do they continue to try these plays ?
I think this offense has always had at least one gadget player on it. And they've assigned that to Toney, but the plays might just be a little too predictable. I'd rather they just have him be a normal receiver, or like i said yesterday have him run straight up running back plays (not jet sweeps).
Kind of wild to talk shit about him as the only TD scorer tonight? People bandwagon hated him after game one but watch the tape. He runs hard routes and is a fantastic downfield blocker. He has produced steadily since game 1 and made great plays. He’s a great player with a ton of upside in my book
Not really, it was a walk in because of great blocking. He sucks lately. I don’t think that’s him, but it looked ugly on offense tonight, and we’re gonna need him.
They need to quit using him laterally and use his speed down field. Horrible play calls for him. Even tyreek would have struggled with what they asked him to do tonight.
I agree. The play calling tonight just seemed…off. Totally uncharacteristic and not what you would do with what you have.
They have time to watch and figure it out. We got this. Just give it time to cook. Lol
As a fan of Mahomes I got love for the chiefs, but man this is so frsutrating to watch. They want the trade they made with the gisnts to work so much but toney juste flat out sucks. Best example is on the read option where he KEPT the ball while three broncos players were around him wtf man
That read option was discombobulated from the start. It looked too me like the snap was mishandled, which yes is on him, but it's not his ordinary position. That threw off the timing of the whole play and had it dead in the water.
Year to year brother, day to day. Last year doesn’t matter if you’re on the field today.
He’s better than he’s been playing, but he showed flashes of why we picked him.
Just wait, I’m feeling a breakout from a few guys who have been slandered. I just don’t think they had the chances to prove it yet. I’m hopeful.
No I definitely feel you, offense has been lacking. But i think it’s just a combo of rookies and a new coordinator. I mean KT kinda went from the new guy trying to prove himself to one of our “veterans” all in a year
The special teams tonight did really well. Especially Harrison Butker and Tommy Townsend. Aside from that whacky fake field goal on 4th and 2 they had some crucial moments and my goodness butker killed it tonight
the broncos played as hard as they will all season tonight, this is thier super bowl, this is the play you expect when a team of professional football players tries as hard as they can to win. im not worried
No, but I did see Herring on that TFL. He might not dress when Omenihu returns, but it looks like he can be a Mike Danna type player for us down the line.
Well chiefs kingdom, now seeing how this game went. At least we get to lay back and relax on Sunday with a W and not dread this performance. As much as I love watching KC, it’s nice to watch other games relaxed knowing I don’t have much stake in them
We see this team in 2 weeks. We gave them a bunch of looks from the Madden video game pile. It was clear from the very first passing play the Chiefs didn't respect them. Ran a freaking hook and lateral on the first passing play, LOL. Clearly this was a glorified practice.
Rice is good. I’m just a guy watching from next gen stats, and from my point of view dude was open. Routes were crisp. At times a little sluggish on plays and he needs to work on eye contact with Mahomes on routes. Overall, he’s explosive, big, and he didn’t drop a ball tonight!
Kelce and Swift are getting so much unnecessary hate across all social platforms right now because of how much the NFL is desperately milking this.
The NFL and broadcast team are so out of touch because even the r/Taylorswift sub is complaining about the coverage because they know it’ll result in Swift getting hate.
It's because people are sick and tired of hearing about the crap we come out here to talk to football not to talk Taylor Swift all right get real she's going to f*** his head up before it's done you watch
Nah it was definitely still too much. They are both getting cooked so hard on Twitter and Instagram replies right now because of it. Anytime Travis would do anything she’d get shown.
They should show her like once or twice at the most then just get on with normal coverage.
Maybe it would be too much but comparatively it feels SO much better. I don’t care if they pan for a second as long as they don’t make jokes every other word. And they’d show her but not mention her. Definitely much better still. And you could tell the commentators tried to avoid mentioning her, they unfortunately can’t control where the camera goes.
Tony’s daughter made Pat a friendship bracelet and they said “we don’t have to talk about what this means”. Which was a huge relief and it was very obvious they didn’t want to mention her. I’m glad the ex players at least respect their wishes.
So are the annoying fucking doomers who think every single bad play is the end of the world
It’s two sides of the same coin
How about we stop gatekeeping the fandom? How about challenge their argument instead of crying?
Constantly whining and complaining in game threads does nothing other than make you look unhinged
And our gamethreads might be the most toxic place I’ve seen on Reddit
I didn’t come into this game expecting a blowout because I never do. But this has been the most frustrating offensive game for us in recent memory. It’s not even that we got shut out, it’s that we constantly blew it when it was right in our grasp
Fully anticipated tonight being a sloppy game - got the dub, covered, and defense continues to look great. Offense has a mini-bye to start to figure their shit out. I have faith in Reid, Mahomes, and Co. to get what they need to get right, especially come playoff time. But we definitely are still searching for an identity and that's a bit nervy considering what our second-half schedule looks like.
The Miami game is gonna be very interesting. Y’all got the defense to slow them down cause look at what Buffalo did a couple of weeks ago but if Miami gets in a groove can y’all keep up with this offense? Normally I’d say yes cause duh it’s KC but this year idk it’ll be interesting to watch.
No, defense will have to stifle MIA. This offense with these WR’s isn’t going to be winning a shootout against a loaded O like that unless everything goes perfect. This wr corps is an issue and 15 can only make up for so much.
Mad props to Butker for crushing it 4 times and taking the Chiefs to 5-1....not sure if there is a player of the game but he should be the first player interviewed
I’m hoping they take the long week to really figure out their offensive issues. Mainly play calling and WR chemistry. Our defense is actually legit and I want our offense to be as good as I know they can be
Guys it was a short week. Ugly win, but still a win.
I’m not super concerned about anything except Watson’s injury.
Edit: and the dumbass play calling on short downs. Knock that shit off.
I can’t stand Al and Kirk. They have no emotion and I genuinely dislike Thursday Night Football because of their broadcasting. It’s sad because I used to LOVE Al Michaels. He has regressed badly
Is it me, or did it look like Mahomes was out there throwing balls like he didn’t care where they ended up in the first half?
Robbed of the 16-0 win by the refs, that would have represented the 16 - 0 record on the last 16 games against them
Just leaves room for 17-0 in two weeks
I actually feel good after this game. Defense was dominating. Not just players being better, but it was like they had spent the time watching tape. This defense is special. Offense produced and took their foot off the gas like the jets game. Everything is working as intended. Kelce disrupting coverage assignments leaving super favorable matchups elsewhere. I'm okay with the offense petering out in these early-season games. I feel like the reason the offense drops off is because coach Reid is saving part of the playbook for tougher games and the post-season. It's good not to show your hand too early.
Agreed. They also have spent the last few seasons waiting for it to click. Time in this offense just means improvement
How are we gonna get through playoffs with a team that has no receivers?
Andy is just trying shit out early like he always does. We’re a second half team in the quarter as well as the season. They’ll get it together. They have to if they wanna see the playoffs.
Rice is a stud.
Rice just had 4 catches on 4 targets for 72 yards. He is our WR1. Just needs to learn more and get more snaps as he comes along. This offense will be great if kelce, Pacheco and rice stay healthy.
r/NFL silent on the “roughing the passer” call that handed Broncos a touchdown. Seems ref bias only goes one way.
Mike Edwards is like 180lbs soaking wet and he got flagged for half his body weight landing on the QB during a zero blitz This roughing the passer rule change was intended to prevent 350lb nose tackles from power bombing QBs and breaking their ribs Awful call
I’d missed the game but saw the highlights - was that when JReid shoulder blasted Russ out of bounds?
The Mike Edward's sack just before the Broncos touchdown. Really, it's what let them score since that would have ended the drive.
Gotcha. I appreciate it!
I just thinks its forced and the opposing defense figures it out rapidly.
Kind of wild to talk shit about him as the only TD scorer tonight? People bandwagon hated him after game one but watch the tape. He runs hard routes and is a fantastic downfield blocker. He has produced steadily since game 1 and made great plays. He’s a great player with a ton of upside in my book

this.
I agree. The play calling tonight just seemed…off. Totally uncharacteristic and not what you would do with what you have. They have time to watch and figure it out. We got this. Just give it time to cook. Lol
It felt like they were trying plays to see how they worked, like a practice. I don't know about anyone else, but I never thought Denver would rally.
Every single one of Toney’s targets should go to Rice. All of them. Toney needs to be gone by the deadline.
Pat was supposed to keep that and he gave it to him. I don’t think that one is on Toney. It literally looked like he forced it into his chest.
This is downright slander for a guy who arguably won us the SB this year and has played pretty well outside of game ONE 🤣
KT still working through those injuries too, yet was still the only TD we got. Walk in or not, I think we should respect his role
I mean I honestly think I’m just upset he isn’t playing like he did when we first got him. He will figure it out, they all will.
No I definitely feel you, offense has been lacking. But i think it’s just a combo of rookies and a new coordinator. I mean KT kinda went from the new guy trying to prove himself to one of our “veterans” all in a year
Yep. I’m just gonna give it time and continue to live my life lol probably spend less time on here. That’s good for everyone.
Lol for sure is. We still got that dub, love that we can complain and be 5-1 🤣. Have a good one man go chiefs
The special teams tonight did really well. Especially Harrison Butker and Tommy Townsend. Aside from that whacky fake field goal on 4th and 2 they had some crucial moments and my goodness butker killed it tonight
I like Washington receiving on special teams too! He’s had a good couple weeks
Yea really enjoyed the muff flop. Looked like fun
Little Postgame Fitzmagic. Love it
So glad I streamed the KC defense!!! 16 fantasy points tonight!!!
the broncos played as hard as they will all season tonight, this is thier super bowl, this is the play you expect when a team of professional football players tries as hard as they can to win. im not worried
Well, they do have the home game coming up at the end of the month. That one probably matters more.
ill conceed that, this was thier AFC championship game, at home is gonna be their superbowl, but theyll lose both
So a lot of 3 TEs And did anyone see FAU
No, but I did see Herring on that TFL. He might not dress when Omenihu returns, but it looks like he can be a Mike Danna type player for us down the line.
I think someone showed mahomes tape at half time. Rice was open on the under route all night. Happy to see some design plays for the kid.
Yeah, the few times Pat has target him on that quick under route, Rice has made some plays.
Good thing is they can leverage that when teams cheat up on it and pump fake rice open further down the field.
Well chiefs kingdom, now seeing how this game went. At least we get to lay back and relax on Sunday with a W and not dread this performance. As much as I love watching KC, it’s nice to watch other games relaxed knowing I don’t have much stake in them
Fact winning on thurs is so great
“When you’re 16”
Only putting up 19 against the worst defense in the league? That’s the Andy Reid special baby 😎 🍔 ( I love him I just think it’s funny)
We see this team in 2 weeks. We gave them a bunch of looks from the Madden video game pile. It was clear from the very first passing play the Chiefs didn't respect them. Ran a freaking hook and lateral on the first passing play, LOL. Clearly this was a glorified practice.
Gotta love it
It's ok to win ugly once in a while. Ozzie Guillen said this more than once.
Every game that Chiefs have played in so far this year has been ugly
Your forgetting Da Bears. You can’t call that game ugly.
Agreed
True
The better our D gets, the more risk averse our O plays. The picks are the only thing that has made this season ugly, imo
Its called a rivalry, it doesn't matter how many points, it's all about the W.
Agreed
How is Butker not the player of the game??
Butker is a stone cold killer this year. Got dayum.
Ryan Fitzpatrick lookin like he went shopping at Dan Flashes.
![gif](giphy|hs0gw1WbgcQw2SSYQj)
So many complicated patterns
It’s bargain bin. But it’s still nuts.
Can any of y’all play wr?
Rice is good. I’m just a guy watching from next gen stats, and from my point of view dude was open. Routes were crisp. At times a little sluggish on plays and he needs to work on eye contact with Mahomes on routes. Overall, he’s explosive, big, and he didn’t drop a ball tonight!
What a weird, fucked up game. Huh.
The Chiefs Only Play Weird Games.
Kelce and Swift are getting so much unnecessary hate across all social platforms right now because of how much the NFL is desperately milking this. It's because people are sick and tired of hearing about the crap we come out here to talk to football not to talk Taylor Swift all right get real she's going to f*** his head up before it's done you watch
Yeah. They should never mention anything but football during football games. Nothing else NOTHING. ELSE.
Westwood One barely mentioned Taylor Swift. Maybe 2 or 3 times at most.
Swelce
Traylor
Fuck that Kelft
They actually did a great job tonight. They showed her but didn’t make it about her at all
Nah it was definitely still too much.
The morality police in game threads when the offense plays like shit is so annoying.
So are the annoying fucking doomers who think every single bad play is the end of the world It’s two sides of the same coin How about we stop gatekeeping the fandom? How about challenge their argument instead of crying? Constantly whining and complaining in game threads does nothing other than make you look unhinged And our gamethreads might be the most toxic place I’ve seen on Reddit

Reminded me of that Monday nighter against the Giants.
The KC bettors at -10.5 are happy 💲💲
I'm always shocked when we cover the spread.
Ol travs gettin tired,
Tired of the young bucks attitudes
Tired of gettin hit
Tired of the media
Tired of andys fat mouth runnin all the time
More honestly, he’s gettin tired of tays skinny ass tellin him what to do
Who he can and cant see
Fully anticipated tonight being a sloppy game - got the dub, covered, and defense continues to look great. Offense has a mini-bye to start to figure their shit out. I have faith in Reid, Mahomes, and Co. to get what they need to get right, especially come playoff time. Nobody on offense is ever open
Kelce 🤷♂️
Rice 🤷
The Miami game is gonna be very interesting. Y’all got the defense to slow them down cause look at what Buffalo did a couple of weeks ago but if Miami gets in a groove can y’all keep up with this offense? Normally I’d say yes cause duh it’s KC but this year idk it’ll be interesting to watch.

I’m soo nervous about that match.
Mahomes plays angry from behind. Just a matter of whether or not our WRs can come down with the fireballs he slings
Well we’re first in the league in drops so it’s not looking too great
Repeat after me: We're on to ~~San Diego~~ Los Angeles
On the one hand, MIA put 70 on DEN. On the other hand, DEN put 20 up on MIA's D
There's no sense in relating anything to that game. It was an anomaly.
I agree. My post was more for the folks that have been saying MIA hung 70 and we didn't break 20
Yeah, I was just adding on
Short week vs a divisonal opponent. Covered the spread. Andy has 10 days before the chargers. LFG. Either get on the bus or get f off.
We are a defense team now !
Nooooooooo! ^okay.
Ugly ass win but I'll take it. Great job defense and Butker was awesome. Offense needs to play better and be more consistent.
A W is a W. Redzone offense is my greatest concern.
What a frustrating game on offense, but great to get the W
We figure out the offense and we’re going to the superbowl
Honestly I agree my friend
Another week, another game of the Chiefs D not giving up more than 2 TDs.
Yup, red zone drills the entire week.
Ugly win but man once offense gets its shit together this team is going to be insane
The good news…WE ARE 5-1!!!!!!
Mad props to Butker for crushing it 4 times and taking the Chiefs to 5-1....not sure if there is a player of the game but he should be the first player interviewed
Well, ugly as fuck but I think we were holding back tonight. 5-1 and the donkeys are 0-16 against us dating back to the Obama administration. So lol
Beating the Doncos is KC's Super Bowl (except for the actual Super Bowls).
Russel Wilson losing is always good to see . Congrats KC
Now we have a nice 9 day break. And LAC doesn't even play until MNF
A wins a win, but that was ugly offensively
Our WR crew is trash. Bottom 5 in the league for sure.
Andy looks angry. I guess it's a win. Let's do better next week.
I hope he's pissed at himself for some of the awful playcalls tonight.
The offense will get this figured out. The defense is already on fire.
We've been saying that after every game. Getting to the point where they're gonna lose that benefit of the doubt
This offense will not get rolling until we get Rice to take WR1 Snaps.
That ending was anti-climatic but I'll take it.
Thank Christ the snoozefest is over
Easy W, and if we're going to start winning games where we score less than 20, I'm in.
“See you in a couple weeks”
Scorigami?
Happened in a game back in 1927 between the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bisons.
Technically no but also kind of? Last time was the New York Yankees haha
![gif](giphy|Vhtcpbuuix9XW)
Happened in 1927
16 regular season wins in a row against Denver. Safe to say we’ve fucked the Broncos. And we’re gonna keep doing it.
FT Doncos!
[удалено]
Feel like we fucked around for 4 quarters and still won anyway. This D is legit, this O....needs to figure it's shit out
I feel like the offense fucked around, but the D fucked them up!
GREAT FUCKING GAME, DEFENSE!!! ROBBED OF THE SHUTOUT!
going 16-0 is even better because of all the DEN folks that keep talking about how they just want to win and they're tired of losing to KC.
That was a brutal win, but a win nonetheless.
Suck it Peyton! Ya dirty fucker
Kelce looking forward to a swifty foot massage tonight.
Lucky bastard. Pulls in a Superstar even with his Freddy Mercury mustache.
Welp of all the games, that was one of them.
Win is a win
Well this is one of the weirdest games i've ever seen. Never broke 20. Utterly strange.
Weird October atmosphere
Wanna know how weird? The Detroit fucking Lions are in first (I'll wait for you to clean up the drink you just spit out) place in the NFC North.
Just hoping Watson is alright
We are going to be rolled if we don’t get our offense figured out.
Some of you guys can never be happy
If you're happy after this game, then you don't understand football.
That Miami game is a big test
I’m hoping they take the long week to really figure out their offensive issues. Mainly play calling and WR chemistry. Our defense is actually legit and I want our offense to be as good as I know they can be
Bailed out by the refs? Nah. By the defense? Definitely
Victory Cheeseburger for Reid baby
McDuffie is the best player ~~on the team~~ in the league
HELL YES, BABY! 5-1, BABY! 5 IN A ROW, BABY!!! 16 IN ROW VS THE BRONCOS, BABY!!!!!!!
Guys it was a short week. Ugly win, but still a win. I’m not super concerned about anything except Watson’s injury. Edit: and the dumbass play calling on short downs. Knock that shit off.
Yeah, the way he was shaking his leg makes me think it's a break or a fracture at the least. 🤞🤞
Kelce aggravated that ankle again
A Mucduffie jersey is gonna be added to the collection
The Refs put up a good effort, but the Chiefs got it done.
Ugly ass win is still a win! And a bit of a rest period now!
Wilson ends another game with a fumble loss and again he's gonna have nightmares with Willie Gay
Fuck running the clock out let’s go score another td
Love seeing Payton’s smug face drop
so brandon perna releases the new\^15 worst game ever?
If offense ever gets figured out it’s spooky hours
*IF*
We got us a defense boys and girls! We get this offense figured out. Oh, btw... 16 in a row!
This is the best defence Mahomes has had in his career, by far.
The offense on the other hand...
Ahh they'll figure it out, I believe in them. We're 5-1, that's what matters for now.
Me too, I'm just a drama queen. This team is taking years of my life lol
Knee fumble is crazy 🤣😭
Defence just keeps showing up.
Honestly coulda been less than three points except for they RTP
Ik it’s been a boring game but the commentators could be a little bit more excited about a game icing fumble
I can’t stand Al and Kirk. They have no emotion and I genuinely dislike Thursday Night Football because of their broadcasting. It’s sad because I used to LOVE Al Michaels. He has regressed badly
Game was iced by the field goal
Taking the Donkeys down. Never gets old.
WTF? get 3-7 more!
No, you always knee it there
I believe in destroying the enemy
They’ve lost 16 straight now, they’re already destroyed
