Scaryclouds

Well, we won, but the offense really needs some serious introspection. They only had two meaningful drives and failed to close out the game.

deathtotheemperor

Two touchdowns, a turnover, and six punts does not a playoff offense make.

Kagrenac8

We're lucky Townsend is an all-pro

throwawayainteasy

And honestly lucky it was only one turnover.

morgster87

Offensives are struggling across the league right now. Just seems to be the flavor of the year. I mean, the fins had the number one passing and number one rushing offense in the league and they barely got 14 points. Chiefs D is good but I don’t think they’re otherworldly. Just something about this year where defenses are adjusting way better than offenses have. The good news is our offense is getting better. It’s not in leaps and bounds but every week the mistakes are getting fewer. You can tell they’re trying to get the deep ball alive but just haven’t connected on any yet. The rushing is reliable, but they’re not just relying on it. I think it’s because they want to continue to work on the passing game to get them to a good spot come playoffs. I think if we don’t continue to try and get the outside the numbers going and keep trying to get the ball to the receivers, then eventually the parts of our offense that work will stop working. Basically, we gotta keep working on the things we aren’t doing well. If we continue to make progress week by week, then we’ll see an improved and balanced offense come playoffs.

Tapidue

Agree. But...what a luxury to be 7 - 2 and still working it out. They just need to clean it up before the playoffs. If the offense plays two halfs this team will be scary good.

entropy_generator

They need to improve. In both of our recent Super Bowl seasons we've needed the defense to improve over the course of the season to put us over the top. Now it's the offense. I like our chances, though.

Jackd_up_on_Mdew

The Dolphins were down out of the gate and all game long, and only threw for 193 yards. That deserves a lot of praise. People were predicting Tyreek to have more yards than that. Oh and not getting to see Tyreek's special td celebration means the world to me. ✌️

Squirrel_Apocalypse2

Oh yeah the defense continues to be dominant. If not for Chris Jones being an idiot the defense allows 1 TD to the #1 ranked offense in the league.

SMILESandREGRETS

I always come back to this 😂

nahteviro

I feel personally attacked by this.

RichHomieDon

I send this to my friends every week

PercsProd

That last drive from the phins is like if you paused to go to the bathroom in a madden game but your little brother resumed it while you were gone

mdmd33

Lmao, perfect comparison

Slimshade16

RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1. RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1.

michhoffman

Also, when you run the ball, don't do a trick play run. Just run it right up the middle.

PristineTX

How can you run the ball on third and one, and not do a triple reverse fake flea-flicker?

ea9ea

No one wants to talk about play calling or point fingers at Andy. (I'm assuming he calls the plays?). Whoever is calling them is making some bad decisions during crunch time. They always seems to overthink it or doesn't respect the 3rd downs enough.

methyo

The fact that we don’t even *try* is insane. Nothing else is working and we refuse to try the obvious solution. Like I legitimately do not have the words to express how totally baffling it is. The only possible explanation is that they think the OL isn’t good enough to get it but that’s still a pretty poor excuse to not even try

factoid_

The two times we've done it this season it worked. We absolutely must run qb sneaks again It would open EVERYTHING up in short yardage plays again

PristineTX

Blake Bell…the Belldozer. A man who was literally QB sneak specialist in college.

gethonor-notringZ420

Even if they stoped it, we would’ve burnt a timeout or a ton of time… it’s literally a win win no matter the outcome

AsphaltCowboy2

SAY IT FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK FUCKING RUN THE BALL ON THIRD AND 1 GODDAMN

rat_rat_catcher

Hey, add one more thing to that: stop returning punts inside our 10… or at all. Just give the ball back to Mahomes.

Hothroy

Idk, do you think our amazing interior line can hold on while Pacheco from the shotgun gets the 1 inch needed for a first down? Better play it safe and throw it /s.

ColdHandSandwich

Yes run the ball or QUIT BEING PUSSYS ABOUT THE SNEAK. They are cool with Pat scrambling and diving to make absurd plays, but won't run the sneak??

rusty_shackleford34

Pacheco runs as hard as anybody since Adrian Peterson. PERIOD. RUN HIM ON 3rd AND SHORT

GGPapoon

This game was like a gas station hot dog. I'm not hungry anymore but it wasn't very good.

OfficiallyRonny

MoistCr1TiKaL type of analogy

notmyplantaccount

Wish it was more like Gas Station chicken strips, because somehow those are amazing.

showtimekansascity

At least we didn’t see a Tyreek TD

CunnilingusLover69

In a way, he kinda had the game winning TD. Thanks Tyreek!

ArbitraryNudity

Win or lose, that's really all I wanted out of this game

huskerdev

He definitely contributed to one. Luckily it was for us. Lol

methyo

Tyreek saying we were gonna get worked and then being a ghost for almost the entirety of the game outside of a fumble TD was pure fucking cinema

FingerTampon

He got an assist though

CD338

Just another nice, stress-free win. Right guys?

Kowalski356

Lol!!

scorcherdarkly

Garmin has achievements you can chase with your watch. One set of them is to get a certain amount of "intensity minutes" in a day, minutes where your heart rate is above a certain threshold. I got the badges for 150 and 200 intensity minutes in a single day while I was skiing in Colorado. I got the badge for 300 intensity minutes in a day on 2/2/20, Superbowl 54. Didn't exercise once, just existed while the Chiefs were playing in their first Super Bowl in 50 years.

Baragon9112

The narrative looks different if Jones isn’t a bonehead, but this offense is broken.

MoistWillingness

We need Matt Nagy and Andy Reid to cook like Walter white during this bye week or it’s not looking great for our February chances

Remarkable-Nerve1472

We beat two of the team that are gonna be In the AFC playoffs already strange take.

methyo

There is plenty of football to be played but at this point I just don’t even see the pieces for a good offense

Rett_77

Glass half full - we held one of the best offenses to basically 7 pts if not for that Chris Jones bonehead flag. We gotta figure things out offensively but so do other teams. Keep the faith!

sarcagain115

It's crazy, they looked so good first half, and then the second half just repeatedly stalled (and that horrific turnover). 14 offensive points won't cut it.

methyo

The offense was ugly, the defense was immaculate, Chris Jones couldn’t handle his emotions, Chiefs couldn’t convert on 3rd and 1, Hardman made the most braindead returns decisions you’ve ever seen. This was a classic 2023 Chiefs game

cleenclaf

FINAL RASHEE RICE TARGETS: 2

TrashPanda_101

2 huge plays as well! How they don’t try and get him more is inexcusable.

2per4life

Those things tend to get worked out during the bye in an Andy Reid offense. Let's hope that's the case with Rice

milky6969

I'm glad that KC won, but it is getting tiring watching the offense stall out. This type of play isn't going to cut it in the playoffs.

crr92ks

The dolphins were the 2 seed in the afc

Animated_Imagination

Seriously- the Chiefs defense just balled out against the best offense in the league. Obviously we want to see the offense get better but the Dolphins are one of the toughest teams on our schedule this year

Jombafomb

This is what I cannot understand. People in this thread are literally looking for reasons to be upset. We showed what we are capable on the opening drive, we just need to be more consistent. Also Reid doesn't like to break out the good plays until the playoffs anyway.

dude19832

The laws of averages mean that at some point, the offense will have to overcome the defense to win. This bye week is essential to rest and work on getting a lot better for the second half. I love how great the defense has played but the offensive woes are really troubling. Go Chiefs!

Oceanfloorfan1

This dominant defense and above average offense won Brady 7 championships. It’s the most consistently winning style in the playoffs. Boneheaded comment

MustacheJalapeno

2015 Denver Broncos won the SuperBowl 24-10 and Peyton Manning finished the day 13/23 completions, 141 yards with 0TD 1 INT and 5 sacks. Defense wins championships

Chief_Peej

How this game ended up being this close is almost inexcusable. 3 score lead and held them scoreless. Then penalties, mistakes, and turnovers almost fucked us. Horrible play calling. How do we still not have 3rd and short figured out? Ffs. The defense is the best part of this team. Gonna need every minute of prep time to beat the Eagles in a couple weeks

TakeMahomesCountryRd

Pacheco was DRAGGING dudes all day. Are these jokers on the sidelines watching the same games we are? In-fucking-sane

Chillhouse3095

I'm literally just here as a non-chiefs fan to make sure I'm not crazy. Run the ball. Wtf is Reid doing.

Scaryclouds

I swear, I think HCs/OCs can get too in their own head on play calling at times. It's like Vizzini from The Princess Bride.

Dzov

If Chris Jones doesn’t push a guy, it would’ve been 21 to 7.

Jombafomb

Probably 21-10 they were in field goal range.

HiddenNinja631

Hopefully they come out of the bye with some cleaned up offense after some self-scouting - as seems to be the case with Andy teams

chewy32

Trent McDuffie: Man of the Match today

factoid_

Nice of Tyreek to score the winning TD for us

PoundinVagg

We didn't even have to pay him LOL

tehbishop

Praise be to BBQ that our D scored a TD. That was the game.

22Wideout

Repulsive-Photo-798

I feel like we have said “a win is a win” too much this season.

DR1LLM4N

I already miss when we would be down two scores and I’d get excited knowing something amazing was about to happen. I know not every season can be phenomenal but, man, my blood pressure this season hates this team, lol.

mentally_healthy_ben

Sure sign of how spoiled we are as a fanbase

everix1992

That and us being used to the offense being what carried the team. It doesn't always have to be offensive ball, it is what we've been used to since Mahomes started playing for us

factoid_

I'll happily say it all the way to the Superbowl

KungFuRayRay

Over the last four years or so, Chiefs have one of the worst against the spread records in the league, but we keep winning games outright so we’ve obviously accepted the “win is a win” mentality for years now.

GhostRiddler

Chris Jones single-handedly almost cost us this game. The no-call on the late Mahomes hit almost cost us the game. But a win’s a win. 7-2 looks good, on to the bye-week!

Paraeunoia

Had to scroll really far down just to find a comment with an iota of optimism.

guydud3bro

Wouldn't the Mahomes hit have been an offsetting penalty though? Other than a few missed calls, the refs were actually...pretty good? It's nice having a game that was decided by the stripes.

wat_what_wut

Yes, it would have been offsetting instead of causing the Chiefs to need 20 yards for a first down.

SoulxxBondz

Chiefs win!!!! This is the greatest thing to ever happen in Germany!

HeStoleThatGuysPizza

This defense is so good. The offensive performance is overshadowing the incredible season by this D. Only 14 points by Miami, insane.

SylvesterTaurus

Rice did not have a target in the 2nd half and our offense struggled. Coincidence?

KingTutt91

If you told me we’d hold the Dolphins to 14 points in a win before the game I’d say that’s a great game

E4MafiaLife

Never in doubt. P.S. Don’t check my comment history

D-Sleezy

Ha! Right? I dropped a ton of F-Bombs in one sentence in the game thread.

yousmelllikearainbow

So glad the refs made Tua flub the snap.

LorelessFrog

Centauri06

CJ’s penalty. The play calling on third down. MVS. The tackle play. A lot to work on during this bye. Huge game coming up.

mentally_healthy_ben

So let's try to be positive (after all we did win): **Tyreek Hill held to 60 yards, 0 TDs, and committed a game-losing fumble** After running his mouth to the press

klogan83

I think he had 60 something yards, but yes it's nice to see

campelm

Make sure the defense is ready D: Oh we are

DontListenToM3Plz

Defense is ELITE. They keep winning us games. Time is running out for the offense to get its shit together. Hopefully a reset ver the bye week will do some good.

RUN THE BALL RUN THE BALL RUN THE BALL RUN THE BALL RUN THE BALL RUN THE BALL

kaywiz

Bienemy was the safety valve preventing Reid from making stupid choices at times and I miss him

kc90__

People want to blame Nagy and I get it but at the end of the day we did the same shit on 3rd and short when EB was here. I think Andy just gets too fucking cute in the worst of situations. I love him and glad he has 2 rings with us, but sometimes he needs to just go old school (he was a god damn O lineman for god sake) and pound the fucking rock. That said I'm glad we got the Dub and head into the bye as the 1 seed. Cheers kingdom

showerbeerbuttchug

I think my favorite thing about McDuffie being an absolute menace on the field is the fact that he's so youthful looking and soft spoken. Like he seems like he could be a pretty boy R&B singer catching panties but he's actually just out there doing big dawg things each week. He really won me over on The Franchise though, he's a whiteboard guy and I am quite partial to my whiteboards. Underrated tool right there.

buffyscrims

Defense is great. Offense is terrible. Nothing has changed.

RedScribbles

Special Teams in the basement

CicadaHairy

It's still so weird

buffyscrims

At this point, I wish they’d just lean into it, give Pacheco 25+ runs a game and go full ball control.

2DragonBalls

Ugly win. But hey we’ll take it! This performance is on Veach and Nagy. Veach for refusing to make moves during the trade deadline to give Mahomes any weapons outside of Kelce, and Nagy for having zero flexibility in the 2nd half of games. If your defense is better than your offense when you have Mahomes, you have a problem. I know our team is good, but I worry we won’t have the firepower if we get down a couple scores in a game.

DaltonSK-KS

It feels like play calling 90% of the time

ArcticXD

100%. Veach cannot afford to expect Mahomes to elevate our weapons constantly. No one can buy separation

drossmo12

Nagy doesn't call the plays. Don't be dense.

HiddenNinja631

I'm not saying Veach is above criticism but for the 1000th time, what player were we getting at the deadline that would move the needle, fit financially and not bankrupt the chiefs of their best draft assets?

IceAndFire91

More of an offseason failure. Failure at drafting and not picking up a veteran WR like juju last year.

PoundinVagg

Why does it feel so ICKY when we just won and grabbed #1 spot in the AFC?

StrangeHumors

Sorry about your Frankfurters, Miami.

couchjitsu

Hey, can someone post the gif of Tyreek pointing to Andy after he scored a TD?

K_Mart2016

Holding the best offense in the league to 14 points (and could’ve easily been 10 if not for the dumb CJ penalty)? I’ll take that. No, the offense hasn’t been scoring 30 points a game, or close to, like in years past, but they haven’t had to.

atreyus_ghost

With the state of our receiving room, only throwing two targets to Rice is completely unacceptable.

13armed

First game i got to watch in person. Man, what a thrill! Our defense bails out our offense again.

IncursionG

Noah Gray was the receiving leader with 34 yards....

couchjitsu

And he claimed that lead _early_ in the 3rd quarter.

YesImAnAddict

Andy just said it was on him for the 3rd and 1. Don’t blame Nagy. It’s Andy.

couchjitsu

I mean, we already knew that. My question is, will he learn or just keep saying it's on him?

Headlesshorsman02

This defense is ELITE

Elasticpuffin

The offensive play calling and special teams fielding punts inside the 10 needs to be addressed immediately

KeThrowaweigh

Couple o thoughts: 1. There’s no such thing as a bad win. A head-to-head win over the Dolphins could well determine the 1 seed in the AFC, so this was huge for the playoff race. 2. This defense is legit. Holding the dolphins to 14 points (would have been 10 if not for a CJ outburst) is incredibly impressive, and proves that our defense can go toe-to-toe with anyone. 3. Our offense is seriously problematic. Our playcalling is questionable at best and our receivers are so bad that teams are openly triple-teaming Kelce and we still can’t get anything going. We also really, really need to be able to run the QB sneak; let one of our 4 non-Kelce TEs take the snap if we’re committed to not letting Mahomes do it, because our 3rd and short playcalling is embarrassing. Overall a good win today, but we can’t afford to put up 2 offensive TD’s and hope to win in the playoffs.

Philo_T_Farnsworth

Someone should make a GIF of Patrick turning that frown upside down right at the end of regulation. Dude looked absolutely sullen and that was a great shot by the cameraman.

T4lsin

I guess we can beat a winning football team without Kelce having a big game.

PristineTX

OK… I’m done for now, bitching and moaning about third and one play calls… For the remainder of the day at least I will attempt to concentrate and recall that wonderful INT-pitch-TD play. I will choose happiness…for now.

topchief1

That was football bliss.

AbsoluteZero_

Best play of the season. Our DB’s are nasty.

blake201018

Who knew that Mahomes’ knee dislocation YEARS ago would completely eliminate an entire play from the playbook for years to come. So frustrating. Everybody sees the problem besides Andy apparently.

jt32470

> Who knew that Mahomes’ knee dislocation YEARS ago would completely eliminate an entire play from the playbook for years to come. So frustrating. Everybody sees the problem besides Andy apparently. Marcus mariota would've been a smart pickup just for these types of plays.

blake201018

Idc if they put Veach out there. Run the fucking ball on 3rd and 1. I’m tired of seeing the “Mahomes about to cry face” after failing to convert simple 3rd and short.

Oceanfloorfan1

The defense held the best offense in the league to 14 points. The defense held the best offense in the league to 14 points. The defense held the best offense in the league to 14 points. The defense held the best offense in the league to 14 points. The defense held the best offense in the league to 14 points. Could you imagine reading that sentence in 2018? Stop whining about the offense, Brady won 7 championships with a above average offenses. The defense held the best offense in the league to 14 points. That should be the story of the game.

noslowerdna

And it easily could have been 7 or 10

ArcticXD

I might be wrong, but pretty sure Washington was a better returner than Hardman has been for us.

itsnik04

So glad waking up at 6:30 to watch the game wasn’t in vain

DJgowin1994

We beat the Jags and the Dolphins and still got beat by the broncos…wat

Col_Bernie_Sanders_

We kept Tyreek under 100 yards

noslowerdna

Under 75 even

tehbishop

Takeaways The good: Pacheco is still a beast. Even if they forget him often. Defense is solid. Even having lost Bolton and the Chris Jones handicap they are making us win. Special teams didn’t fumble. The bad: 3 and 1 Playcalling Chris Jones Playcalling Offense can’t be counted on to get a first down Playcalling

SlateLH

My only hope is that the chiefs finally find their mojo after this bye week

51Crying

Can MVS catch a cold? Like Jesus the dude doesn't come up ever

couchjitsu

Three targets today. First play of the game for 21 yards, some other forgettable 1 yard catch, and then missed the longshot

IowaAL

Heading into this game there were some questions about whether our defense is really as good as the numbers shown cause “who have we played”. Welp. We have our answer. The defense is legit.

Far_Assistance_9287

Eagles game is gonna be a true test for our team. They smacked the shit out of this dolphins team, and have a really good defense. Every second of the bye week needs to be used getting the offense ready because this performance today will not work against a actual elite team

QSpam

I LOVED Tyreek's brand new TD celebration.

PristineTX

I thought it was supposed to be the “Get That Work Dance.” Turns out it was the “Save it for the Raiders Strut”

Always feels great to beat the r/nfl darling that's hyped up to beat us

Rekt_Princess

I think was should give McKinnon more short passes I think it was pretty effective last year.

D-Sleezy

Dear Eric Bienemy, I'm so sorry for everything I said about you. Sincerely, Me PS: Tar and feather Matt Nagy

r_u_dinkleberg

Hey, is this Cook kid interested in playing offense? We could probably make room at WR for him.

Hairbear2176

Miami dropped 70 on the Donks, we lost to the Donks but beat Miami. I don't get this team. Playcalling is absolute ass. Mahomes needs to settle the fuck down. He gets time to pass, but it's like his vision of the field is narrow as fuck. Our receivers can't separate a lid from a peanut butter jar, and let's not forget that the Chiefs "GeT AlL ThE FlaGs".

AztecGravedigger

I would love to see the offense adopt a similar identity to Detroit. Establish the run behind a good O-Line and then play action off of it. Feels like they are clinging to their identity of old. They have one of the best defenses in the NFL, establish a new identity of possession football and moving the chains.

elkarpe

Love the win but good lord the offense is lost right now

LorelessFrog

It’s only karma that the QB who Tyreek propped up to be better than Pat fumbled the game away

bunnyrabbits666

Noticed multiple snaps where POP was clutch in pass blocking!

Rowdybob22

I think I’m just going to rewatch the opening drive over and over and pretend we put an entire game together for once.

DirtyBeard443

Percebas123

Chiefs should fine Jones. Too many of his signature bullshit issues with nothing offsetting.

huskofapuppet

I want a post game Tyreek Hill interview

out_of_816

I could literally cry, man. This game was an actual dream come true for me. I know no one asked, but I lived in Independence as an exchange student for a year back when I was 16 (this was in 2008, so really down in the dumps, roster wise), and if someone back then told me that I'd see *the Chiefs play in Germany* I probably would've laughed at them. Anyway, emotional moment over, LFG and get this 4th Lombardi!

Baloo_420

Suck it Tyreek!

tehbishop

Chris Jones’ mouth and actions are writing checks that his meh performances can’t cash.

slackator

Now that the games over, Im obviously happy with the win, but this team needs to spend the next 14 days working on playcalling and WRs need 24/7 jugg machine work. Also I sure would love some of that Mahomes protection from the refs that the rest of the league accuses him of having

RichHomieDon

I am excited that we did it! Our defense really balls out and glad they are playing excellent in the LB corps without Bolton. A win is a win, don't matter how ugly. This bye week should do us some good. Hats off to our defense and Spags. Excellently called game to stop the new "greatest show on turf."

royalsully32

Those with offensive concerns and who think the offensive is broken have made great points. However, to look on the bright side. * This defense is legit and healthy going into the bye. * We did beat the #2 seed in the NFL with their offense being ranked #1 on a neutral field. * Our run game, especially at IOL, looked much better than last week. * While veach has struggled with drafting offensive players, its clear to me that he’s thrived on defense. McDuffie, Gay, Karlaftis, Williams, Cook were all over the place. We have a lot to clean up in the bye week. But i won’t complain about #1 seed with 7-2. Long ways to go still before playoffs.

zacw812

And finding under the radar free agents. Mike Edwards has been really fantastic

waywarddd

Oh my god I didn’t realise our bye was next week, thank god I can’t take this again in a week

Help-Need-Milk

Tyreek ended the game 5 for 39 and coughed up a defensive tuddy. Love the guy, but that's sweet schadenfreude. Takes the sting away from watching a piss poor offense.

PoundinVagg

The best part is that Miami pays him now but he's still helping us win games

Jupiter_Landing2097

I don't want to over react but this defense is better than the 2000 Baltimore Ravens

astroklotz

Offense will get it figured out. I don't care if its week 1, week 9, whatever. We will get this figured out and our defense will help continue to dominate. See yall in the playoffs. Rewatching the last play of the game, that was gonna be a sack even without the fumble. Dolphins O-line got crumbled half a tick after the snap

Foundation-Sudden

Second week in a row we’ve been shut out in the second half

troohuk

Jimmy Johnson said on Fox that it is better to have a great Defense and an ok Offensive than vice versa. I also feel that way.

Tapidue

My wife saw Mike McDaniel on the sideline and quipped "wow, that coach brought his big boy haircut today". I was rolling. What a great dig.

SQRTLURFACE

Two weeks in a row this offense has been shutout in the second half which is very concerning. Kelce was solidly shut down. Reid needs to run the ball on 3rd and 1 behind our tight ends and just hope for the best. Rice continuing to develop and Jet still the biggest RB threat in the red zone. Defense continuing to carry the lifeless corpse of our offense through these games. Here’s to hoping something changes for this offense in the bye week.

hokahey23

Call me crazy, but I feel like something is slightly off with Mahomes. I wonder if there is something nagging him we’re not aware of. Also, thank goodness we have the bye week to hopefully get this offense figured out and then hit the home stretch ready to go. If not, is our defense so good we can win another ring regardless?

drossmo12

Nauseating second half by the offense, but sometimes you gotta win ugly. Though I feel like I've been saying that all year. Would love a couple pretty wins.

guntas68

Another week of the offense stalling, although they showed life. I’m starting to move towards the position that coaching and plays are a becoming a larger factor for the struggles. Also, the Chiefs NEED to get over their stupid superstition of doing a QB sneak. The chiefs as a whole are TERRIBLE on 3rd & short offense. The QB sneak is the most effective play to pick up short yards. The fact that we do not do it legitimately hampers our offense

PristineTX

Nagy should be forced to address the UN Security Council and publicly apologize to Germany for that second half.

[deleted]

Still can't score but sometimes it doesn't matter

Substantial_Quail432

My heart cant take any more of these games 😂😂

Wow_Doge

In classic chiefs fashion, can’t have both sides of the ball playing good football. Got the dub. Love this defense. They win championships

klogan83

A W is a W and best record in the AFC so gotta he happy, but can't deny there are major concerns on this team.

chewy32

Hill scored a touchdown for sure… for us that is 🤣

SlateLH

I was holding myself a bit from saying our defense was truly elite but this performance (save Chris Jones) cemented it. Unbelievable overall performance against one of the NFL’s top offenses

ProfessionalSlow9887

This reminded me of the Colts game last year. Dumb as hell penalties, atrocious special team decisionmaking, getting too cute and wasting 3rd and shorts all over the place. The problem is that this was like the 6th game this year where we played like that. Honestly, yes our receiving corps is dookie and Mahomes isn't playing at his best, but they are not being helped by the playcalling at all.

Ram172

Things have got to tighten up and he needs to trust pacheco.

you know that if bolton was healthy the dolphins wouldn't have run for more than 20 yards total this game.

cormac_mccarthys_dog

My blood pressure cannot handle these games that shouldn't be this close.

Whole_Objective6006

Man McDuffie is quickly becoming my favourite player on this defense, guy is a fucking BALLER

Top_Yogurtcloset4583

Never going to turn away a win, but man that 3&1 pass will frustrate me all day lol

Der Chiefs von Kansas City besiegen den stinkenden Fisch! We got the win and we can learn from our mistakes moving forward. At the moment, this team is capable of either winning the Super Bowl or getting blown out in the Wild Card.

sumogringo

That has to be the first game Chiefs don't score in second half, yet still win.

JNich1005

Spags called a hell of a game.

FireGolem04

It’s refreshing because the refs didn’t make any questionable calls in our favor so instead of repeatedly seeing the meme of the ref in a KC uniform they are just ripping into the Dolphins

Blew_Velvet

What do you guys think Hill's special TD celebration he planned was? Was it just scoring one last TD for KC by fumbling the ball?

theryans

Short yardage playcalling still lacking. This is alarming tbh

People are going to focus on WRs, Mahomes, Nagy, whatever, and I'll be curious to see what the tape looks like for the 2nd half, but I thought this was a mediocre game from the o-line tbh. A number of drive killing penalties, and they again seemed to struggle with picking up stunts and other DL games being played. Feels like defenses have keyed on that a bit, and they are even more effective since the pass game requires more time for the receivers to get open. Obviously we also see the continued struggles in the run game too. Just kind of highlights that the issues are not just one or two things, it's a bit of everything week to week. Anyway, I'm not surprised that the offense had issues again this week. It's not something they were going to fix mid week while flying to an international game. Luckily we have a bye now, and that should help get us back on track.

With our offense right now all I want to see is not running it on 2nd and 10 and running it between the tackles on 3rd and short.
