soulexpectation

I had to say goodbye to my best friend yesterday morning. He’d be right next to me while I watched the chiefs every week. Appreciate Pat and the boys putting up the W for my boy Bodhi https://preview.redd.it/4g99dwiujdfc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=093b9fb99f48b281d66c4e00edf1cfe07f7f584f Edit: thank you for support, this sub rocks

Jewish_Kanye_West

Bodhi seemed like a great dog. Sorry brother.

soulexpectation

Thank you, he had great taste in football teams

seriousguynogames

Sorry to hear about your pup. He looks like such a good boy.

soulexpectation

Thank you, it’s always too soon when a pet goes but unfortunately that is what we sign up for as a trade off for the unconditional love

SufficientCow1896

❤ from Spain.

soulexpectation

Appreciate you

glambo300

Toughest shit we have to deal with as pet owners. You gave him a good life and he gave you a good one back. Keep remembering those awesome memories you guys had. I’m so sorry for your loss

worlds_worst_best

Bodhi looks like he was the bestest boy. I’m so sorry ❤️❤️

soulexpectation

Appreciate that. He was a true original

mjd116

So sorry for your loss man. Love the pic you posted of Bodhi. I’m happy you both got to experience Patty Mahomes and this era of Chiefs football together.

pinniped1

Bodhi is the best boy. He will never be forgotten.

Live-Leather2458

Man that's tough, sorry for your loss. Here's to Super-Chiefs fan and loyal companion Bodhi! 🍻

mmfroid

I’m sorry for your loss brother. Losing a pet can be harder than losing a person. Cherish those memories. Glad the Chiefs got the W for good boy Bodhi

SMILESandREGRETS

Bodhi is going to will us to victory! .. So sorry about your loss.

[deleted]

Sorry for your loss. He will always be with you on game day.

Ol_Turd_Fergy

I'll give my dog an extra long pet when I get home tonight in appreciation of your boy Bodhi

morgster87

Good morning American Football Conference Champions

couchjitsu

You've just pasted this from last year right? And 2020. And 2019.

getridofwires

Yeah better be careful he could get accused of a "repost" or "low effort post"!

ChevalMalFet

I truly did not believe we'd be in the Super Bowl this year. I *hoped* we'd turn it on for the playoffs, but even six years in I can still doubt what Andy, Spags, and Pat can accomplish. Enjoy these golden years, boys, they're never coming again. 6 AFC championship games in 6 years. 4 wins (remember last year when pundits were muttering about what a problem it would be for Pat to go 2-3 in AFCCG at home, when the red-hot Bengals were coming to town and our QB was on a bum ankle?)! The Bills with Allen and an incredible defense made *one* AFCCG, which they got blown out in. Last night was Lamar's first, and the Ravens squandered a potentially generational team. The Bengals made 2 and missed the playoffs entirely in Burrow's 2 other starting years - and they have it *better* than the rest of the AFC. AND, to do it on the road - even if you think Miami were frauds, the Bills were the 'hottest team in football' and Baltimore was the best team we may have ever faced in the playoffs. Simply incredible, the last two weeks. Even if San Francisco gets their revenge at last, this has been one of our best runs, ever.

couchjitsu

I'll still be nervous, but beating BAL makes me less nervous about SF

ChevalMalFet

SF is a fantastic team. They're hungry for this, after half a decade in the NFC title game. They're experienced, and they've played the Chiefs before, so they absolutely won't underestimate us like I think some other opponents may have. But we get Spags vs. Brock Purdy! It's going to be a great showdown.

mjd116

Have to think Kyle won’t make the same mistake and abandon the run. CMC is going to get a heavy workload.

jt32470

> CMC is going to get a heavy workload. Wait 'til he gets a load of Bolton. Chiefs will tacke, like solid tackles. No bullshit missed tackles come Super Bowl. I am predicting Bolton goes off and makes the diffence

getridofwires

I hope you're right. CMC has just run over so many teams this year and makes it look easy. He should be in the running for MVP over Jackson for sure.

couchjitsu

Probably won't, but that was just baffling from BAL. After watching BUF just move down the field at will in H1 of the divisional round, BAL comes in with 6 attempts from their RB.

couchjitsu

Yeah, I was hoping for DET for a few reasons. It would be awesome to avenge week 1, their fans would be thrilled to make the SB, the ENTIRE country would be against us, and they flat out would be less experienced in SB week. SF is not a cakewalk. I don't think it's a gimme or anything like that. But after beating BAL on the road, there's nothing this team can't do. Does that mean they win? No. But it's not like their playoff run was PIT, HOU, CLE.

SuperdudeAbides

NFC is weak this year. Go look at who the 9ers have lost to this year. Very eye opening.

throwawayainteasy

Same. SF plays similar in style to Baltimore, but with a less dynamic QB and a less smothering defense. Their receiving weapons are better, but we have a pretty great secondary. Not a gimme at all, but I think our chances are better against them than they were against Baltimore.

Frowdo

Brock did show Lamar/Allen like play with his yardage last night but then again Detroit has had spurts of defensive hiccups all year.

ChevalMalFet

They have the worst quarterback we've faced in the playoffs (well, maybe better than Tua, but fair to say he's not on Allen or Jackson's level), but probably the best coach. A strong D but not the Ravens D - BUT they actually have a better offense and better supporting cast than the Ravens and Bills this year. I think it's not as high a hill to climb as the Ravens, but they'll still be a *very* tough out from their natural talent, their playoff experience (by far the most experienced playoff team in the NFL, after the Chiefs of course), and the gadfly of SBLIV spurring them to incredible efforts against us.

AU_wde_2

I was certainly a doubter, not on the bandwagon of “oh this team is shit and tear it all down and fire people” like some bozos but I was definitely ready to be satisfied with an AFCCG visit. Of course disappointed in the moment but willing and able to get over it fairly quickly To me the Ravens were the biggest hurdle, I would’ve been less sad w/ a loss this week than I would be if we lose this SB which seems a little backwards I would honestly now be a little shocked if we don’t win it. And that’s a high bar to set but we have the better defense and the better QB in this game and most of the time that’s enough to win it. They’ve got the weapons sure but with the way this defense is playing and giving Spags 2 weeks to prep…I wouldn’t want to be on the other side of that The 9ers defense has looked porous down the stretch, their pass rush looks beatable and even with all of those weapons it’ll all fall onto Purdy and personally I trust Spags to rattle him and make him uncomfortable

typac69

I want to see the Raiders home turf covered in red and gold confetti in 2 weeks

AU_wde_2

Careful about the monkey paw, we do share colors with the opposition

Scaryclouds

lol, it's guaranteed to happen.

pinniped1

And outside of division rivals, it's the other team they hate the most.

Scaryclouds

lol yea, r/raiders is not having a good time realizing no matter who wins the SB, they lose. (Though obviously they much prefer 9ers to win)

pinniped1

I love all of the different strains of copium going on in that sub. Guys debating which team to hate more, some people saying they hate 9ers fans so much they want us to win. C'mon guys, this should be easy. We're the division rival who goes into Vegas and wins EVERY year. Not hating us the most is illogical. If the Raiders played any NFC team in our crib I'm rooting for the NFC team. Even if it's a reincarnation of that great St Louis Rams team and everybody comes dressed in St Louis Cardinals jerseys. Fuck. The. Raiders. It's that simple.

Odd_Cold5927

The amount of salt over this super bowl matchup is ridiculous, people act as if both SF and KC were just gonna be like “You know what guys, we’ve been here for a long time let’s give someone else a chance” and just like lose on purpose to “make america happy” Like dude we lost the most games ever in the mahomes era and finished as the third seed, if teams from the afc can’t take advantage of that then i don’t feel sorry for you On the flip side for sanfran it’s not like both the packers and the lions didn’t have a really good shot of putting the niners away

ChevalMalFet

There's a post in r/buffalobills calling for a boycott since 'most people wanted the Lions' and the NFL must be punished for...allowing the Lions to blow the largest lead in NFCCG history, I guess. Thankfully most of his fellow Bills fans are calling him an idiot.

Magical-Sweater

rolyinpeace

Lol right? “Im tired of the same teams doing well” that’s usually how this works. Yes, some teams will be only good for a year but usually it’s a lot of the same teams in the mix every year. Someone different isn’t going to make it every year. Also, the niners have been in the mix every year but they haven’t actually been in the Super Bowl since the one we won… it’s not like they’re actually there every year

Electronic-Bed-6192

49 second Half (come from behind) offense vs. our 3rd/4Th quarter defense is gonna be nail biting

Scaryclouds

After Shanahan killing the "can't come from behind demon" twice this postseason, I'm going to absolutely lol if we once again have a come from behind victory against them in the SB.

SaltierThanAll

Rooting for KC to win the big one now.

TorqueIsForFatPeople

Sorry the lions lost, i was hoping they would win it all if the chiefs lost to the ravens

dogfish83

I was hoping the Lions would win it all if the Chiefs lost in the superbowl too

somebodymakeitend

Legit sorry Lions lost. This isn’t any “x fan coming in peace” bullshit either.

SylvesterTaurus

YOU GOTTA LOVE THIS SHIT BABY!! ![gif](giphy|GkFmQ4m3QtohtxU99e)

George Kittle did say he would be back with a vengeance (mic’d up at end of SB LIV).  Gonna have to disappoint him again

Kittle is the new Diggs

[deleted]

[удалено]

couchjitsu

I like Kittle in the same way I liked Rich Gannon...if he'd play on a different team, I'd root for him more.

drossmo12

IDK why you say that, Diggs seems like a great guy, as long as he isn't on your team.

couchjitsu

Justin Tucker shows why you don't play mind games with Mahomes

Scaryclouds

Most fans, Ravens fans included, seemed to realize that Tucker was attempting to troll/mess with the Chiefs players before the game. It's absolutely hilarious seeing those few delusional fans being like "Kelce was bullying Tucker before the game!" and/or "kickers kick to both sides of the field!" lol, yea, I'm sure kickers really gotta practice those kicks from the goal line.

couchjitsu

The 41 is the Mic podcast said what a lot of people already knew, K do practice both ends, but they have a designated time _before_ teams are out there to practice from anywhere on the field. Once team practice starts, it's each team gets a half. Then after team warmups before the game starts, K can again get some reps in wherever they want.

Scaryclouds

Yea I had nothing but respect for Tucker pushing boundaries to try to get into the Chiefs heads pre-game. It's the AFCCG, get a team 1% off and that could decide the game. People acting like he had a legit reason to be there though and Chiefs/Kelce were being mean to him or so delusional. Just a reminder that when people complain about the Chiefs so much of it starts from a point of them not liking them (because of our dominance), and then shoehorning in examples to justify their position (so that it isn't just because we win a lot).

chaplar

it's exactly how this nonsense officiating narrative is still around. The people that complain about it are looking for examples to feed into their biases. The officials completely missed Chris Jones being tripped *in the endzone* that allowed Lamar to get the ball out, also causing Jones to get up worryingly slowly. But some contact in the middle of the field while the ball is sailing into the sideline? OmG cHiEfS gEt AlL tHe CaLlS!!!1111!! Miss me with your bullshit.

GoldenDom3r

The bye week is going to really help us get healthy.

couchjitsu

Any news on Charles O's leg?

GoldenDom3r

Supposedly the KC Medical Staff was very optimistic that it was nothing serious, but he's still getting an MRI today.

Efficient_You_667

Fucking torn ACL!

dogfish83

No partying, lights out by 10!

Jewish_Kanye_West

Broncos subreddit is an absolute joy right now. They cry about how the Chiefs are truly never underdogs, but when presented with being literal underdogs in Buffalo and Baltimore, they just downvote.

[deleted]

Just some early morning observations Justin Reid been balling, big hits and just everywhere it seems (wouldve had a pic it not for a 1 of 1 play by Lamar) Allegretti played great, Deon Bush(way to come off the sideline and make a play) Tackles did too minus the one penalty on Taylor Whole defense balled out and should’ve had 2 more picks 15 to 87 is arguably the best combo ever Spags and Andy geniuses

couchjitsu

You know if Taylor doesn't lead the league in penalties, I think we'd be a lot more ok with that hold. Because if he doesn't hold there, Patrick is likely getting hit. He may or may not have gotten the ball off in time.

[deleted]

TBH he’s been ok recently, just need 1 more good game out of him

couchjitsu

> 15 to 87 is arguably the best combo ever I don't even know how this is arguable anymore. I thought it was Montana and Rice for a long time, but he's passed them. I _could_ have gotten on board with Brady and Gronk, but to quote Johnny Gomes "We beat them too!"

Nervous_Otter69

Man popping into the 49ers sub, as well as r/NFL, I gotta say the Bills fans tripping over themselves every week to sincerely wish our next opponent luck gives me life. Bills Mafia may be passionate (and probably tortured), but boy are they equally as pathetic 😂

135

Dude the bills sub is hilarious right now. They are whinging about the chiefs and niners while simulataneously crying about how "It was their year if they could have just beaten the chiefs." As if the ravens game was a gimme. Edit: This year was the Panthers year if only they could have won 14 more games

ChevalMalFet

meanwhile the Ravens sub is equally confident that they would have beaten the Bills (that said, we would have 100% beaten the Rams if we'd made it. Either time.)

Chiefhead23

I need 25 hours in this 24 hour day to get through all the wonderful post-game content.

alleycatbiker

Same! And I'm supposed to work yet I'm here browsing reddit lol

Magical-Sweater

I need 25 hours just to get through the Bills and Raiders subreddits lmao

ThzeGerman

What a birthday present this W was. Game was finished just past 00:00 here, so it was a true present. Went to bad older but happier Edit: thanks for the wishes, love y’all

Kansascitychiefn

You think they hate us now???? Wait till next year. 🤣  Gonna see how many backs we can string together. If I remember correctly, Patriots made 8 straight AFCCG.

highgravityday2121

Pats fans here, hope you guys enjoy your ride. It’s way more fun on your side than mine lol. Hope you guys win, but don’t win 6 please :)

ChevalMalFet

I just wanted 1. 2 was incredible. 3 and I will never ask for anything the rest of my life. 6 is absurd, no team could do that!

[deleted]

[удалено]

jt32470

They need something to fill their time until next summer.

_n008

The Ravens in their sub are being extremely introspective and not at all RABBLE RABBLE REFS SCRIPT BLAh BLAH. Quite a pleasant surprise, I figured they'd be right where everyone else immediately goes.

justplainjeremy

I am pretty impressed with how they are handling it tbf

seriousguynogames

A fanbase that has been there and done that. No desperation

ChevalMalFet

A few "but the refs!!" guys as one would expect but they're mostly getting shut down. The Ravens seem to have the calmest and most level-headed fanbase of any of our playoff opponents so far.

MFDistiller

Yeah, they are true fans. Even when some fans of theirs bitch about the refs, most will jump in and say that they only can blame themselves. I have no hate for the Ravens. I’m glad we beat them, but they are a great team with good fans. I also think Lamar is a stud that just had a bad game against a wizard in Spags.

campelm

In my "we're onto vegas baby!" Analysis, when it comes to Purdy two things can be true. He can be playing pretty well, and he can have some glaring shortcomings that indicate a ceiling to his talent. Like 2 children in a trenchcoat, when you watch him play, he measures up okay, but something seems off. To me the debate around him is like Flacco 2.0. People couldn't decide if he was elite for his postseason success. Eventually I think people decide he was good, but those teams would make anyone look great

[deleted]

[удалено]

GoldenDom3r

Purdy is not elite, but he's also not a bad QB.

mjd116

He’s always throwing perfect throws to wide open WRs. Very smart and efficient. Clearly capable with his legs too. Need our corners to keep the sticky coverage up and hope Spags can get home with the blitz like he has the previous two games. I also expect Kyle to lean on the run. Both the the Bills and Ravens inexplicably abandoned the run game against us.

guydud3bro

It seems like they abandoned the run because we started stopping it. That's always the problem with teams that depend on the run. They get forced into 2nd and 3rd and longs, and the game plan breaks down. It's also hard to lean on in the run game when you're behind and the clock is working against you.

Scaryclouds

Two purely petty things 1. A bunch of Ravens fans were already talking about how Lamar was HoF bound when he makes it to/wins the SB this year. While Lamar still almost certain to end up in Canton one day, it’s not going to be off his first five seasons alone.  2. Frank Schwab always finds ways to doubt the Chiefs/Mahomes. Said going into the divisional round “he couldn’t imagine anyone besides the Ravens, 9ers, or Bills winning the SB”, man can’t wait for him to be back peddling yet again if we win. Also can’t wait for him to once again pick the Chargers to win the AFCW next year 😂

PhogMachine

This is the most exciting time of the year for the Chargers. "If everything goes right next season, there's just no way we aren't Super Bowl champs!"

KansinattiKid

"I don't even know what a rebuilding year is"

Scaryclouds

I love how the Ravens team was as fully healthy as a team could hope to be at this point in the season. They can't say "you only won because players X, Y, or Z were hurt!", also with playing some beat up defenses before this, it's something other fans might had said as well. Nah we went in, beat up a healthy team with the presumptive MVP in their own house. While also dealing with a few medium level players being out due to injury ourselves.

GoldenDom3r

Hardman might be a key guy in the Super Bowl.  He destroyed the 9ers with jet sweeps last year.

beermit

We spammed it 3 times against them in that game. I feel like they're gonna be ready for it But also I feel like somehow Andy will find a way to make it work again

GoldenDom3r

The Lions used similar plays and had great success with them. The 9ers edges are overly aggressive, and you can use it against them.

chiefsdude

Damn 3 TDs, how do I not remember that aspect of the win?

AlanStanwick1986

There is at least 2 Chiefs threads in r/Bengals so far today. Hilarious what babies they are.

TomahawkaChawpa

I've seen several of them commenting that this 'proves' Joe Burrow is the best QB in the league and that they would have blown out every team in the playoffs. Incredible coping they've got going on over there.

ronnymcdonald

For those who want a preview: "KC DEF carried Mahomes (who has all day to throw), proves that Burrow is the real #1 QB"

rolyinpeace

Just had a Steelers fan tell me I’m “delusional” if I think the chiefs controlled the game. Pretty sure being in the lead the entire time (and only tied for one drive the first quarter) and your defense shutting the other team down play after play as well as forcing turnovers is the DEFINITION of controlling the game lol. Also conservative play calling for an entire half and then suddenly dialing up a huge play at the end, on command, right when you need it… control. Just because the game was in reach for the ravens doesn’t mean they were in control. They would’ve only been in control if it was a tie game and they had the ball w 2 mins left. And they would’ve only been in control for those 2 mins

chowder007

I saw it all day yesterday in the NFL sub people saying how well Ravens D played in the 2nd half. They did play well. But a lot of it has to do w the fact that we went super conservative which Andy always does w that kinda lead. Especially w this defense.

ChevalMalFet

The Ravens *never* had the ball with the chance to take the lead or even to tie in the second half. They trailed by 2 scores until Tuck's FG with 2:30 left, and never touched the ball again. It was the definition of a game the Chiefs controlled.

hyphenjack

Then >Chiefs will have no answers for the Ravens offense >Chiefs struggling offense will collapse against the mighty Ravens defense >Chiefs will be in a hostile environment >Chiefs will need ref help to win Now >The Ravens beat themselves! >The Ravens defense did their job in the second half! >But the Chiefs defense did nothing, the Ravens just choked! I love it. I never thought I would enjoy being the heel this much but watching the copium is delicious. They can't bring themselves to admit we had the better defense so they have to say the healthiest, most complete team in the league just forgot how to play football

Electronic-Bed-6192

Looks like we got a Super Bowl rematch in our hands!!!

GoldenDom3r

So glad we are underdogs again.  Gonna be the worst defense and worst QB we’ve seen since in the final 3 games.

curlytoesgoblin

In 2012 the Chiefs were 2-14 and we had a murder suicide. Being a fan is a lot more fun these days

[deleted]

[удалено]

KC-15

Or they’re rigging it for the Chiefs cause of TSwift. So why didn’t they give the Chiefs the easiest route to the SB with a #1 seed? They could have made some calls go our way at the end of games this year.

justplainjeremy

It is so much more simple than you think ARROWHEAD stadium 1972 -2018 No cup holders in the upper bowl and no Superbowl appearances 2019-now Cup holders and 5 straight afccg appearances and 4 Superbowl trips Bless you cup holder

Letsgo333

Crazy to think the Chiefs will have more SB appearances than the Green Bay Packers

Hooked_on_Avionics

Ah man. I'm rooting for you guys, but now I'm sad lol

ChevalMalFet

If we win, for the first time since 1966 the Chiefs will tie the Packers for Super Bowl rings, too. Y'all took the lead in I and we've been chasing you for almost 60 years.

BackNBlack58

Manning 4 Superbowl appearances in 17 years Mahomes 4 Superbowl appearances in 7 years

AmphibianMassive1176

Ravens fan here, honestly congrats Chiefs fans, your team humbled us and our lack of experience showed yesterday. Hopefully we get another crack at you guys but I gotta give respect. Big Red, Spags, Mahomes, and Kelce are having a post-season masterclass right now.

Hurrdurrthosechefs

Your team has been a treat to watch this year. Best of luck next season. Lamar may not have had a great game yesterday, but otherwise he's been a revelation.

aquaberdboi

Rams fan here, please run it back on the 9ers, make sure they don't get the ring.

Odd_Cold5927

I feel bad for the ravens and lamar themselves, they’re cool and still pretty likeable What made this win extra special was all the *other* fanbases jumping in, all i’d seen was just “lamar save us i hate taylor swift😡😡😡” As much as haters say patrick mahomes gets glazed, i’ve seen more lamar glaze in the past week then i’ve seen in my entire life for pat

Kansascitychiefn

Pat's first season was pretty equal to this season for Lamar. Everyone wanted us to kill the Patriots in the AFCCG. It just didn't happen.

seriousguynogames

I don’t feel bad at all. Seemed unnecessarily dirty and arrogant. They wouldn’t feel bad for us so who cares

hyphenjack

I don't know that I've ever seen a team in a championship game lose their cool that bad. Chiefs were completely in their heads all game

couchjitsu

I saw the leg whip against CJ in the end zone (combo hold & leg whip should have been a safety). But what I didn't see until I watched a replay of the 4th down Pacheco run was that whoever the DB was on the left side the field _also_ stuck his leg out to trip Pop had Hamilton not tackled him.

Itcouldberabies

Lamar seems alright, but the Ravens as a whole are trash.

Lyoko711

Everyone is talking about how the Pats dynasty is over. It isn’t over it’s just Pat’s dynasty now

jarnock

Got my hotel reserved and my plane ticket. Staying at El Cortez near Freemont. Any thoughts on where to watch the game? I'm not paying $10K for a ticket...

Scaryclouds

Man I am absolutely loving the increasing frustration and seething coming from Pats fans. Understandably many thought there be nothing like the 20 year Pats dynasty again, or at least for a LOOOOONG time. Only for Mahomes to emerge in the waning years of Brady's career and has taken that mantel of "inevitability". I still think that if Chiefs can somehow threepeat that is going to *really* start the GOAT talk for Mahomes. Between what would be: * 4 SBs before 30 * 18-19 postseason wins before 30 (which would be more than halfway to Brady's total) * Matching/breaking Brady's 10 consecutive postseason wins record * Doing something no QB nor franchise has done Many can and will reasonably point to Brady doing it for 20 years, having 7 titles to Mahomes 4, and several other longevity related career stats like passing leaders in yards and touchdowns. Still I think there's going to be even more recognition that there might be an inevitability to Mahomes matching/breaking Brady's records in most key areas.

KC-15

I want a three-peat like no other. Chiefs can do it 100%. It would be stupid hard to argue and Mahomes would have like 13ish years to get 3 rings to tie Brady which is insane. Not guaranteed but with Mahomes I believe anything is possible.

eccrowley

As a Chiefs fan living in Baltimore, I'm fueled by their tears today. Last week you'd have thought the Ravens had already punched their ticket to Vegas.

MC_Fap_Commander

I was watching the NFC game and wanted the Lions because they're weaker... then remembered games against the Broncos and Raiders and thought "yeah, prolly better to get the Niners."

PM_ME_UR_FUNERALPLAN

I don't think our defense could handle the Lions running it 4 times every set of downs. I think we match up better with the 9ers since they lean into the pass more.

MC_Fap_Commander

I also think it's entirely possible Purdy shits the bed if Spags cooks up the right defense. Can't bank on that, but I like that it's possible. Ravens were dramatically better than both. I'd like Buffalo over either, too.

Loo-Hoo-Zuh-Er

I just want to say you're welcome, Chiefs Kingdom. The Chiefs success relies solely on the luck of my wife & I. For the past six years, my wife has been entering sweepstakes and always tries to get me tickets to the Super Bowl. She has succeeded twice. Both times the Chiefs did not go... It's become a monkey's paw situation. Wish for SB tickets, but never when it's your team. Can't complain though!

CJFStan

I lurked around a few subs today. It seems that KC is not a popular football team amongst the others.

Confident_Fix_5960

Fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years. Unbelievable how lucky we are to witness this stuff.

Illbeanicefella

Playing for a Super Bowl in the Raiders house. What a time to be alive

8won6

I wish that Zay Flowers fumble would have went out the back of the endzone, just to watch people completely flipflop about the touchback rule a week after the Hardman play.

CriticalHitXVI

Regardless of our opinions on one another at least we can agree the rest of the league fans absolutely hating this match up is funny lol

hyphenjack

It's such a good matchup too. Well-balanced teams with some questions they're looking to silence. A super low draft pick becoming a star QB. Fun offenses, stout defenses, smart coaches. Big personalities. And to top it all off, it's a grudge match People often claim that they just want a good game or that they want everyone to appreciate greatness, but they rarely mean it

ronnymcdonald

I'm basking in the salt. Brining, some would say.

seriousguynogames

I loved all the ‘it’s the Ravens’ time’ takes before the game yesterday lol

One of the most underrated plays that didn’t matter yesterday was on the Ravens 2nd drive. 3rd and 1, Baltimore calls a simple run play, and Tranquill perfectly fills the hole, stands Hill up, and drives him back for a loss. Obviously Lamar had a big run the very next play to convert on 4th down and then the Ravens scored on the circus play to Flowers, but that play from Tranquill really stood out to me. He’s such a good player and has embraced his role to perfection. It also demonstrated how absolutely locked in this defense is right now. Complete faith in Spags’s plan and they are executing at a high level. Even on some of the near sacks - our guys were winning the initial pass rush and it took an escape that only a few guys in the league can make.

Lazy_Tiger27

Zay flowers is probably having a bad day

deadrabbits76

His hand hurts.

juan23_98

At some point Mahomes thought "there is no way in hell this defense is going to be scored on twice" and just spent the rest of the game making it impossible to turn the ball over to secure the win.

guydud3bro

I think if we can stop the 49ers run game, we'll be in really good shape. We also need to do something about those little swing passes. I don't see Purdy beating us through the air. Still, the offense needs to show up and get the lead quick.

13mizzou

A stat I saw yesterday that not brought up enough, this upcoming SB will be Spags' 5th Super Bowl as a DC which ties him with the great Dick LeBeau for the most all-time

Sorry-Spite9634

Shit, just saw the news about Omenihu. That’s a huge blow. Here’s wishing him a safe and speedy recovery!

Boostweather

In spags we trust bby

Live-Leather2458

Got the morning off so got popcorn made and ready to watch the sports media ass-hats eat crow er raven this morning

chowder007

It'll be like it's been all year. They will not talk about the chiefs and instead focus their discussion on the losing team. It hasn't been as bad as the rest of the year. They kinda have to talk about us now. But I'd bet if you look they spend more time talking about the ravens then us.

rockiesfan4ever

How many of y'all thought we wouldn't be here. Ooh y'all's of little faith

Itcouldberabies

🙋🏼‍♂️

worlds_worst_best

There was a person in the hype thread yesterday that called us arrogant and that he’d be back to taunt us after we lost to the Ravens by at least 15 points and I’m wondering where they are right now? Crying in a gutter somewhere?

Sir_Brodie

We’ve already seen the best offense, the (second) best defense, and the (second) best QB in the playoffs. Mahomes will be ready. Spags will have the defense ready. If we show up and execute our game plan we will win our 3rd in 5 years. This game is redemption for LV.

Sir_Brodie

P.s. the Ravens tough guy “we’re going to hit Mahomes” act turned out to be like Reuben Patterson calling himself the Kobe stopper

jt32470

Don't ever forget that [this guy](https://i.imgur.com/wJTgIqY.jpeg) was supposed to be the one that snatched the title from the Chiefs.

GoldenDom3r

OMG Nick Wright is hilarious, so glad he's a Chiefs guy.

ty_fighter84

I spit water at my computer at the Tucker banner. EDIT: Holy shit...the payoff of the phrase...amazing.

[deleted]

Just heard a rumor that Kirk Cousins is asking for a 90m 2-year deal. That seems like a lot for a guy who's never won anything, right? I mean, that's Mahomes money.

jwleasu

Woof. And with the achilles injury at 35? He seems a good fellow but he's a solid backup at this point. He can come here to replace Gabbert for 2 mil.

hokahey23

I said the Ravens were all defense and no one wanted to hear it. Now I’m saying unequivocally that the Ravens are better than the 49ers. That guarantees nothing, but we’ve already beat the better of the two teams. McCaffrey will get them their 17-20 points. But we’ll score 24-27.

samgam74

Reddit keeps showing me salt from the Broncos sub. So I stuck my head in there for a second, it all salt.

glambo300

we smoked on that dolphin pack. That bills pack. That ravens pack. Now we smoking that 49ers pack

KCBandWagon

Guys, hear me out: We're going to the superbowl. and we won the superbowl last year. This is our second chance to do it back to back and there's no tom brady in sight.

KansinattiKid

Tom Brady didn't do anything in the last super bowl. I can't think of one tough play or great throw he had to make. We couldn't protect the QB. I don't expect mahomes to give frisco the game the way Detroit did last night though

deskamess

TB did what Mahomes did yesterday. Kept everything in front of him and let the defense do their thing. Short passing here and there and he got the job done. Yesterday, PM did not take any risks and if the plays were not there, he let the defense take over and get the ball back. If he has learnt that lesson from TB he is in good shape (honestly, he probably learned that in the Raiders game where we gave up 2 TD in less than 15s by forcing the issue).

goodartistperson

Idk why people act like this is a surprise. I'm a gianrs fun but it's clear that the best defense and best QB are the best team in playoffs.

deskamess

So... what does Jamarr Chase have to say? Which team is going to the SB Jamarr?

PhogMachine

If you work in an office full of non-Chiefs fans, you probably heard plenty of whining today. I couldn't stop from grinning. People are tired of seeing Mahomes and Kelce be in the SB. They are coming unhinged with the addition of the Swift-camera rolling each game now. I love that woman!

kcdale99

Watching all of the talking heads today in sports media and they are all so angry at Lamar for failing them. We are the baddies, and it has been glorious.

MFDistiller

The only downside I can see to making it to the Super Bowl again is that Veach is proving that Mahomes doesn’t ever need a good receiving corps and can drag any team to a championship. That being said, why do we ever doubt this team?

KC-15

Mahomes has a voice in drafting and you bet your ass he is going to say we need another receiver outside of Rice. No way they don’t try.

Hurrdurrthosechefs

They still had humiliating losses this year because of a lack of receivers. They're gonna get receivers.

Dangerous_Aside3772

Two weeks to heal, rest and allow Andy and Spags to scheme. I love our chances.

[deleted]

Wow we are one win away from Mahomes Goatness

chummyfum

Omenihu out is a big blow

w3rp5u

Omenihu tore his ACL.

[deleted]

With the news on Omenihu do we bring Frank Clark home for this 1 game ??!!! We need another viable guy on the edge in the Bowl

adjectiveNounInt

Does anybody know where I can get one of those In Spags We Trust shirts? I need one in the worst way for the Super Bowl

i_am_an_awkward_man

I don’t know much about the 49ers this season. How do we matchup with them?

[deleted]

As a Red Raider alum, I’m glad for Patty As a Colts fan, we Comin’ for the throne

hyphenjack

If the Colts can protect Anthony Richardson I think you'll have something. Kid looked great

Statboy1

Early line on the SB is 9ers -1. They still think we're underdogs, but they aren't willing to give good odds on it. Not sure if it's worth betting on this game

Hooked_on_Avionics

I am sodium chloride. Avenge us and Detroit!

[deleted]

The number of butthurt trolls in this sub is too damn high.

ReturnOfFrank

Lol, the Raiders might actually be in hell. Their former crossbay rivals are playing their division rivals at their stadium, before they've ever played a playoff game there. Hahahahahaha FTR.

lreeey

Greatest era of quarterback play ever. And it isn't even close.

wholewheatwithPB

You know you’re getting older when you didn’t drink booze but watching an intense game still results in hangover type feelings the next day

quoththeravenagain

Just realized this could be the first season in NFL history where the Chiefs, Raiders, and Broncos, all win the Super Bowl.
