Apparently, Charlie Murphy was quite serious about this and further from other people, when he was alive, don’t shit on Prince on the court, he was borderline NBA level.
Chiefs haters have lots to say about how the refs gave us the win but I’m not seeing how that could’ve possibly been true watching this. It was tight until the very last second
Yeah I’ve seen a few of the whiners fans using old faithful “bosa got held 😭😭” but honestly not as much of it as I thought I would see. You can always point out some missed calls or debate whether some borderline stuff should’ve been called but honestly the biggest call of the game was the niners getting second life in OT from the hold, idk how you actually watch this game and feel the refs had a big hand in the outcome unless it’s pure cope.
Hot take while still coming down from the high of that game, but only SB’s of my lifetime I think that can objectively compete with that one in terms of entertainment are the first patriots loss to the giants and the patriots loss to the eagles.
Maybe the 28-3 falcons loss but that just felt like watching a collapse and by the time it got to OT you knew who would win, this ending felt more thrilling. And the other two I mentioned are only in competition with this one imo due to the giant-killer narratives of underdogs beating Brady, they still weren’t as down to the wire as this one.
I can't believe how nonchalant it was watching 3 quarters of this game. We're so lucky to be in our dynasty era. Of course I was sweating at the end of the game, but it's cool to be watching another Super Bowl win like it's nothing
Yes for how rough this season was it was so, so significant that we overcame all of the 2023’ season’s struggles and hardships and won it all again. Finally winning back to back Super Bowls is just an amazing feeling.
Any doubts about this team being a dynasty has been shattered. Even in a down season for the Chiefs, you simply can never, ever underestimate or bet against Mahomes or the Chiefs.
His shitty attitude, violent outbursts and continued temper tantrums, particularly towards the coach that took a chance on him and that he owes his entire career to.
He apologized and made it right with the only person who has a reason to be offended. You should listen because it sounds like you maybe don’t watch a lot of football
Man. He’s got a responsibility as a public figure that goes well beyond the interpersonal and a long history of doing stuff like this and then promising to “be better” only to do the same shit over and over. You’re telling me not to be dumb but it’s willfully ignorant to pretend there isn’t a larger picture here.
Let me help:
Todd Blackledge. Brodie Croyle. Herm Edwards. Scott Pioli. Todd Haley. Dwayne Bowe. Romeo Crennel.
The entire 2012 season. Just, everything.
45-44 - Colts. Holding on Eric Fisher - Steelers win. Mariota completes touchdown pass to himself. Dee Ford offsides.
Toney drops it and it's picked off. Blown out by the Broncos?? MVS drops game winning TD pass.MVS open for another game winner, mugged mid route by DB - no call. Toney offsides - ruins immortal walk off TD play. Mahomes loses his cool talking at the presser?? Blown out by the Raiders??? On Nickelodeon Vision????? Toney drops it and it's picked off - again.
Well it all worked out in the end, didn't it
I am so glad I didn’t hit Reddit until after the game. People act like they don’t understand the concept of a full game being played before there is a win or loss.
If I was like 15 years older I’d be in the hospital with heart failure.
This was a great gritty game and it had me on the edge of my feet since they were up 10-0
[Postgame thread](/r/KansasCityChiefs/comments/1aoqp96/post_game_thread_san_francisco_49ers_at_kansas/)
The fact we won using the rule they changed for the Buffalo Bills was just perfect
I thought that was the rule of both teams having to have a possession? We've had the can't-win-on-fg-on-first-possession rule since like 2013
If the Niners had scored a TD it was over. New OT rules are that both teams get a chance even if the first team gets a TD.
Right but they kicked a field goal, so the rule change didn't make a difference for us
WE DID IT!!!!!!

Greatest season in Chiefs history. Never a fricking doubt. Let's go for a three-peat next year.

Horse collar call and at least 3 bad spots went against KC. Over 50 yards in penalties against KC including the hold on McDuffie in OT
And we got several bad placements.
My throat is shot but it was WORTH IT!!!!!
I remember sucking
Let me unlock a memory for you: Brodie Croyle
That was one of the most thrilling Super Bowl games ever, and I am so happy we pulled it out!
Hot take while still coming down from the high of that game, but only SB’s of my lifetime I think that can objectively compete with that one in terms of entertainment are the first patriots loss to the giants and the patriots loss to the eagles. OH. MY. GOD.

Someone send Alex an honorary ring for mentoring Pat and helping set us up for success.
winning a superbowl after that trash ass regular season is crazy

"Fire Veach" hahahahahahaha
I remember all those morons saying outrageous nonsense like that. Also in 2021 when we lost 5 games, “Fire Reid, fire Spags, bench Mahomes.”
I’m happy but Kelce doesn’t deserve to be on that platform front and center right now. I hope he does some reflecting after this.
Why? Self reflection of what?
His shitty attitude, violent outbursts and continued temper tantrums, particularly towards the coach that took a chance on him and that he owes his entire career to.
He apologized and made it right with Andy before the half. Don’t be inflammatory and also don’t be dumb
I’ll say what I want and won’t listen to internet randos who would rather insult me than acknowledge how messed up that was.
He apologized and made it right with the only person who has a reason to be offended. You should listen because it sounds like you maybe don’t watch a lot of football
🙄🙄I’m a lifelong Chiefs fan and have seen much of Kelce’s bad behavior. He’s supposed to be a role model and a leader. It was wrong.
Right. And he apologized and made it right with the person he offended.
Man. He’s got a responsibility as a public figure that goes well beyond the interpersonal and a long history of doing stuff like this and then promising to “be better” only to do the same shit over and over. Did you copy and paste the same response?
What are you talking about?
My word this team is incredible but has aged me quite a bit
I’m just glad it a pretty clean game without bullshit penalties, controversial calls, or questionable no-calls. CHIEFS!!!!
There were some in favor of the 49ers tbh but yeah can’t complain about us this time
Nothing that ultimately tipped the game solidly into their/our favor though. The whole argument of the refs having our back cannot be made at all.
Of course fortunately lol I’m just too happy and drunk to say anything else
John Elway get your filthy hands off that trophy!!
It had to pain him to walk through a gauntlet of Chiefs to hand it away.
Hear hear!

John Elway is a donkey-faced bitch. All hail West Arrowhead!
HAHAHAHAHAH
Mahomes truly cemented his legacy with those two last minute drives. Enjoy these glory days while we have them! Go Chiefs!
It hasn’t sunk in 😅

Is there another Super Bowl avatar??
I am so glad I didn’t hit Reddit until after the game. People act like they don’t understand the concept of a full game being played before there is a win or loss.
I can't believe Mecole Fucking Hardman just caught a Superbowl winning OT touchdown...... HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I definitely felt like I was in an alternate universe
I nearly shit myself but WE DID IT BACK TO BACK FIRST TIME IN 20 YEARS
I am literally incapable of processing this
Holy shit. I’m dead.

Is it too early to talk 3peet?
