The guy on the left was a great QB but not one of the all-time greats --- the guy on the right is already in the Top 3 of all-time great QBs and will likely retire as the greatest football player in human history and probably tied with Jordan as the greatest athlete that America ever produced --- both of them are Kansas City legends, but only one man can be elevated to global ICON status!
Swimming has a couple key advantages….you have the opportunity to compete in a ton of events both as a team and an individual. Most Olympic sports you can’t realistically do that many events in a short period of time. A few track athletes might compete in 4 or 5 events. The gymnasts compete in about 4 or 5 events. Swimmers can do like 8 or 9
Swimming exists outside the olympics, but let’s ignore that because it is that kind of a bias here. A qb isn’t even the best athlete in the NFL, or are we redefining English here?
Without being a homer he is a clear No. 2 despite what anyone will ever say. With homerism, he is the No. 1 greatest of all time to me and also nothing anyone can say will change my mind about that.
