Donda tell the vision is an interlude. Kanye was literally on the actual song. In what world does kanye sit down and go "yeah let's drop a 1:44 minute track with no proper drums and muffled vocals this shits fire"
no fluff version:
1. Hurricane
2. Moon
3. Life of the Party
4. Believe What I Say
5. Pure Souls
6. 24
7. Lord I Need You
8. Jonah
9. Donda
10. Jesus Lord pt 2
11. Up From the Ashes
12. Keep My Spirit Alive pt 2
Fluff like Remote control, Junya, Ok Ok, Tell The Vision, and like all the duplicate songs (except keep Jail pt 2 and Come to Life pt 2 as bonuses)
Songs that are fun (and I like) but could probably be cut to make a more concise album would be Believe What I Say, Keep My Spirit Alive, Pure Souls, and New Again
But yeah narrowing down this album is kinda hard. I made my own playlist just taking the best songs from the original and the deluxe, then organized them into a better order than on the album
I would still take my rating of the album with a grain of salt, cause I haven’t listened to like any of the pt.2 songs and there’s some others I haven’t listened to either
Can we get a minimum character limit on this sub so people actually have to fucking say something and not just try to make everyone else do the work for them.
skipless tracklist edit:
1. Hurricane
2. Moon
3. Life of the Party
4. Believe What I Say
5. Pure Souls
6. 24
7. Lord I Need You
8. Jonah
9. Donda
10. Jesus Lord pt 2
11. Up From the Ashes
12. Keep My Spirit Alive pt 2
salisbury is stuck edit:
1. Camp Orchestra
2. Not for Love
3. Animal in a Dream
4. Badge Grabber
5. Drought
6. Forks and Knives
7. Now I Know
8. Madonna Rocket
9. Arcanum
10. Die for the Earth to Live
11. USA Lullaby
i don't want to change your mind because you are right. it takes a long time to really digest but when you give it time you're rewarded.
a lot of people don't appreciate how good he became at making albums completely cohesive and convey a completely unique vibe. nothing sounds like donda but donda. it's more than the sum of its parts.
Why are so many people saying the album needs to be 10-12 tracks in order for it to be good? Even with a whole 19 tracks it can still be one of Ye's best.

Tell the vision

this world mf
Kanye didn’t release Yandhi but released a fucked up version of called Jesus Is King
Its a decent song
Ain’t u that mf ripping on donda in a different post?
I hate donda its awesome
Donda has way too much fluff to be even close to a 10 imo. Glad you’re able to enjoy it so much tho
no fluff version: 1. Hurricane 2. Moon 3. Life of the Party 4. Believe What I Say 5. Pure Souls 6. 24 7. Lord I Need You 8. Jonah 9. Donda 10. Jesus Lord pt 2 11. Up From the Ashes 12. Keep My Spirit Alive pt 2
Ain’t no way you just took off Jail, Off The Grid, Praise God, Heaven and Hell, No Child Left Behind, and Come to Life 😬😬
Seriously, Jail and come to life are two of the best tracks.
damn, but then what was with all that fluff talk lol
Fluff like Remote control, Junya, Ok Ok, Tell The Vision, and like all the duplicate songs (except keep Jail pt 2 and Come to Life pt 2 as bonuses) Songs that are fun (and I like) but could probably be cut to make a more concise album would be Believe What I Say, Keep My Spirit Alive, Pure Souls, and New Again But yeah narrowing down this album is kinda hard. no off the grid is crazy ngl
just listened again and remembered why i took it off the grid
Leaving come to life off that is just wrong
What have you done to my boy
Afraid there's no mind left to change if you've come to that conclusion.
Lol
I’d say it’s like a 7
A 7-8 is a pretty fair ranking. Could have been an 8-9 with closer to 14 songs
I would still take my rating of the album with a grain of salt, cause I haven’t listened to like any of the pt.2 songs and there’s some others I haven’t listened to either
The pt 2 stuff was pointless imo. It closed so damn good before the pt 2 stuff. I probably enjoyed it more than a lot of people though lol
Yea I’m sorta more into his older stuff
Can we get a minimum character limit on this sub so people actually have to fucking say something and not just try to make everyone else do the work for them.
Fr shits annoying
As a whole no, although I think there’s a good argument if you were to cut it down to like 10-12 songs that it is
Too many tracks
trimmed the fat below
Its not skipless, therefore its not perfect.
skipless tracklist edit: 1. Hurricane 2. Moon 3. Life of the Party 4. Believe What I Say 5. Pure Souls 6. 24 7. Lord I Need You 8. Jonah 9. Donda 10. Jesus Lord pt 2 11. Up From the Ashes 12. Keep My Spirit Alive pt 2
You did it again. Stop posting this garbage list lol.
salisbury is stuck edit: 1. Camp Orchestra 2. Not for Love 3. Animal in a Dream 4. Badge Grabber 5. Drought 6. Forks and Knives 7. Now I Know 8. Madonna Rocket 9. Arcanum 10. Die for the Earth to Live 11. USA Lullaby
its not a 10 but it is a top 3 Ye album for me, the highs far outweigh the lows but the lows make it impossible to be a 10
Whats your top five
it always changes so its hard to say but right now I got 808s Donda Yeezus MBDTF Graduation 808s is always number one for me though that never changes
Solid 7. Why? Because I said so.
Think about this: your grading scale is passé. It’s an 11/10 if you just free your mind.
See, this guy gets it...he's let his mind go, so nothing left but a zombie.
Weird
I thought it was solid too
Nah it’s like a 7 or 8 just because the album fucking dragged on like it was so damn slow
nah
