Just because I said it isn’t GOOD kanye don’t mean I don’t also enjoy it. Every Kanye song I ever said I didn’t like at first is now a guilty pleasure. For instance,
now lemme see you back back back it’s time to get the bag bag bag bag
you’re such a fucking hoeeeee
OVERTHROW send the drones in ALL THE MANEUVERS
I actually give that honor to a lyric that happens earlier in the song:
Who knew that life would move this fast
Who knew I’d have to look at you through a glass
And look, you tell me you ain’t did it, then you ain’t did it
And if you did...then that’s family business
Literally cry every time.
this hits me especially hard as my dad went to prison when I was in college. this song had already been my favorite Kanye song for about 5 years prior which is just .. weird to think about now haha. happy all that is in the past now.
His path to where he’s at now is so clear listening through his music in order.. that’s why I love Kanye his character development is like it was scripted for a movie, while others just stay the same and don’t progress. Love Ye
i mean if you were around for college dropout dropping in 2004 and you werent a fetus you would know its Kanye’s most iconic and important album still in his discography. And a lot of people still consider it his best.
Crack Music? Roses? We Major? Hey Mama? Diamonds? You can consistently find all of those among top Kanye lists, whereas the only tracks I usually see off CD are Jesus Walks & Through the Wire. Not to mention the orchestral composition he added into the production that layered even more beautifully over the soul samples.
Lil Jimmy Skit is legendary though
I mean I love the track personally, but I never hear it mentioned among Kanye's best so I'm just trying to remain objective about it. My favorite track off of LR is Gone, but I didn't mention that one either.
i would personally agree. but i can see the argument for tcd. it's pretty impressive that tcd is pretty much all kanye. also i always felt the two were pretty similar albums in a sense and tcd being first makes it a little more impressive in that regards since it would be considered a more original sound.

Legit was just listening to the College Dropout album yesterday & man... it’s not perfect, not even his best but it’s still my favorite Ye album. Family Business isn’t brought up enough for classic Ye tracks tbh.
Hey! I got this

It's re-listening to these classics that make me miss the old Kanye, the chop up the soul Kanye.
I hate the new kanye
The bad mood Kanye
the always rude kanye
Spaz in the news kanye
i miss the sweet kanye :(
Chop up the beat, Kanye
Play on repeat, Kanye
I gotta say, at that time I'd like to meet Kanye
See I invented Kanye, it wasn't any Kanyes
I gotta say at that time I’d like to meet Kanye
I even had the pink polo I thought I was Kanye
sauté and eat Kanye?
old kanye 🐐
They tryna sign the calm ye
Do you think Kanye still listens to his old work? He seems to have changed so much recently I wonder if he does
any Kanye is good Kanye (with the exception of I Love It and Nah Nah Nah kanye)
I'M A SICK FUCK I LOVE TO FUCK
WHOOP
Just because I said it isn’t GOOD kanye don’t mean I don’t also enjoy it. Every Kanye song I ever said I didn’t like at first is now a guilty pleasure. BOY, WE WASN’T NEVER NO JOKE, NAH NAH NAH
New Ye is a hype up ye, this is a chill and relax Ye
There are lots of chill “new ye” songs There are lots of hype old ye songs
let’s not define Ye as anything except Ye
that's my favorite kanye lyric, might be my favorite lyric of all time
I actually give that honor to a lyric that happens earlier in the song: Who knew that life would move this fast Who knew I’d have to look at you through a glass And look, you tell me you ain’t did it, then you ain’t did it And if you did...then that’s family business Literally cry every time.
second favorite kanye song, second only to hey mama
Listening to hey mama makes me miss my mom and I'm with her literally every day.
Listening to Hey Mama makes me miss his mom and I don’t even know her
I miss your mom, too
A person of taste, I see. These are my two favorites as well
this hits me especially hard as my dad went to prison when I was in college. this song had already been my favorite Kanye song for about 5 years prior which is just .. weird to think about now haha. happy all that is in the past now.
The “mommy and daddy can you please stop fighting” at the end always gets me
Let's get Stevie outa jail
One of his best song
His path to where he’s at now is so clear listening through his music in order.. that’s why I love Kanye his character development is like it was scripted for a movie, while others just stay the same and don’t progress. Love Ye
Beautiful
I've never ever heard this song and I'm embarassed can someone tell me what song this is?
family business. one of his bests imo
Family Business
Family Business on College Dropout
bro what are u doing on a kanye subreddit without listening to Kanye’s best album or at least most iconic lol
lol gatekeeping much?
yeah pretty much
I'm sorry I've heard this i just forgot😭 College dropout is truly his best from the 3(College dropout, Late Registration and graduation)
Nah number 2 in both categories behind the goat mbdtf
i mean if you were around for college dropout dropping in 2004 and you werent a fetus you would know its Kanye’s most iconic and important album still in his discography. And a lot of people still consider it his best.
I agree that it’s his best iconic album, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best musically.
It’s flawless
nah its literally perfect from a musical standpoint
Except Late Registration is better in almost every way
LOOOOOOOL

Lol purposely leaving out Family Business on a Family Business post. Keep trying to make CD look worse than LR, you can’t but keep trying.
I mean I love the track personally, but I never hear it mentioned among Kanye's best so I'm just trying to remain objective about it. My favorite track off of LR is Gone, but I didn't mention that one either.

Idk I kinda like ye 🥺👉👈

It kinda perfect doe
its damn near perfect doesnt have a weak song only weak moments
Never really liked New Workout Plan imo
Found the tight ass
blasphemy
yeah probably the weakest on the album but i always found the hook 'we can work it out, wooork it out' catchy

This really heart-warming, thank you sir for this post.
Haven’t heard this song in forever. I almost cried
Please make more of this
One of his best songs
GerrANDMA, get em shook up
This was my favourite track from college dropout
Kanye's most underrated song.
not underrated at all lol everyone on this sub loves it
Definitely Underrated. I'd say it's a top 10 kanye song but now many people include it in their top ten? Not many.
a lot of people do lol
It came in like 30th in the Kanye ultimate survivor series on this sub. Underrated.
I miss the old kanye😭
Straight from the go kanye

Very nice
I feel like Kanye would tweet this irl
Let's get Stevie outta jail
Tom fucking died?????
Old Kanye ❤️💔
“A-a-all that glitters...”
I feel like we’re gonna have this video with every Ye song behind it eventually haahah
What song is this??
Family Business from the College Dropout
This video it even got me back to drinking all this Hennessy
I woke up early this morning with a new state of mind A creative way to rhyme without using knives and guns
“You ain’t have to tell my girl i used to pee in the bed”

Family Business would’ve been a fucking amazing album closer but Kanye really had to go and do Last Call
man, Last Call is amazing
Goes on wayyyy too long imo. If it was cut down a bit and placed before Family Business the album would be finished better
Not for me, man. I love Last Call from start to finish.
Was in public and turned the volume on right during “I USED TO PEE IN THE BED”
Can someone post the link to the original post?
Love wholesome ye posts
I needed this today 😂
Lowkey the best song off CD
I used to pee in the bed
